00:00All right, it is the second date update right now.
00:02Mark has reached out today.
00:04He kind of knows what went wrong.
00:06And I kind of feel like he's probably right about this.
00:08Yeah, well, he took her to the improv.
00:10And apparently, whoever was on stage that night was, I guess, giving her a hard time.
00:14And he thinks that's probably why she's not calling him back.
00:18Yeah, he feels like she was feeling a little uncomfortable by the comedian.
00:22Right.
00:22And thinks he owes her an apology.
00:25So we are going to try to talk to her right now.
00:28She's agreed to talk to us.
00:30Kendra.
00:32Hi.
00:32Hi.
00:33Thanks so much for agreeing to talk to us.
00:35We appreciate that.
00:37We wanted to talk to you, obviously, about your date with Mark.
00:40I think Kevin was telling you.
00:42Yeah.
00:44We heard that it was kind of a rough night for you at the Tampa Improv.
00:50Was that something that kind of bothered you?
00:52Was how this comedian was teasing you?
00:56Yeah.
00:56I've been to, like, a handful of more comedy shows before.
01:01And this guy was pretty ruthless.
01:04I've never been, you know, picked on like that before.
01:07Okay.
01:08I'm sorry about that.
01:09I guess we should just let Mark do this.
01:13We have Mark on the phone with us, Kendra.
01:16Great.
01:18Well, he feels bad.
01:19Yeah, he wants to apologize.
01:21Mark, you there?
01:21Oh, yeah.
01:24Hey, Kendra.
01:25I'm so sorry.
01:26I didn't expect that to happen at the comedy show.
01:30And, you know, sometimes comedians pick on the audience members.
01:33And I'm so sorry it happened to you while we were on our first date.
01:37It's kind of awkward and a little embarrassing.
01:39And I'm sorry.
01:40Right.
01:40But you didn't, like, stick up for me at all.
01:43You didn't try to, like, defend me or, you know, you didn't say anything.
01:48You were even, you know, kind of laughing as well.
01:52Well, just like awkward laughing, I didn't say anything because we're in the middle of a comedy show, right?
01:56And, you know, what am I supposed to do?
02:00You know, you're not supposed to interrupt during a comedy show.
02:03I don't know.
02:04It just felt really crappy to be there with someone who did not defend me, stick up for me.
02:10You know, I was pretty much being berated.
02:13And you just, you know, let me have it.
02:16I'm really, I'm really sorry that you felt humiliated and berated.
02:22And, you know, I'm just, I didn't think, you know, if I stand up and say something to a comedian, I'm not going to win, like, going back and forth with a comedian.
02:32I'm going to just turn up the volume and go harder.
02:35That's fine.
02:36But you didn't even, you could have just been like, oh, that's enough or, okay, I think, anything.
02:43You just, you didn't even try.
02:45You know, like, you, I don't know.
02:47It just left me feeling really, you know, it didn't seem like you cared about me at all.
02:51And you found it funny, too.
02:54Kendra, it is kind of a tough spot.
02:55You got to admit that, you know, this guy holding the microphone who's going to be talking louder than everybody else.
03:00Quick-witted.
03:01Quick-witted.
03:02He kind of does this for a living.
03:03He didn't even try, you know, anything.
03:05Just, okay, that's enough.
03:07Or, oh, okay, what about my outfit?
03:09You know, you could have tried to direct it onto him, you know.
03:11Like, I was clearly very uncomfortable and upset and, I don't know, he didn't even, yeah.
03:18It was really embarrassing.
03:20And I'm sorry.
03:22And that's why I put in this phone call because, like, I feel terrible about it.
03:28And it was our first date and I didn't know what to do because it's our first date and first dates are already kind of awkward.
03:33But, you know, like, please, I would love to take you out somewhere else, somewhere different.
03:39I don't, I really don't want to.
03:41I mean, like, you kind of showed your true colors.
03:45You know, you're not going to stick up for me.
03:46You're not going to be there for me, you know, like.
03:49Really?
03:50Kind of a lot to assume.
03:52I don't know.
03:53You guys weren't there.
03:54You were not there.
03:55We were there and I understand that.
03:57And I get it that it can be very embarrassing, especially if you get seated up front like that.
04:01You shouldn't have sat so close.
04:02Well, no, you don't always get to pick where you sit, too, at a comedy club.
04:05Sometimes you get seated.
04:06Yeah.
04:08Well, listen, I do think Mark is absolutely, you know, remorseful about this.
04:15And he didn't really have any control over what the comedian was going to say.
04:18And I know you wanted him to stick up for you, but that is kind of a tough spot.
04:21But it sounds like he wants to do something different with you.
04:23And what's to you, right, Mark, and kind of show her a good time?
04:28Yeah, like, let's just go out and get some dinner or something.
04:31Or, like, let's go out and dance or something like that.
04:34Anything but a comedy club.
04:35I just want to try again, start fresh and have a second first date.
04:42Okay, well, here you've got your work cut out for you.
04:46Wow.
04:47All right.
04:47Yeah, that's fine.
04:50Like I said, I just want another shot.
04:52And I think, you know, if you let me take you out again, and it's not a comedy club, I think we can have a good first date.
05:01All right.
05:02Here we go.
05:03Here we go.
05:03Look at that.
05:04It's a date.
05:05You guys both are very mellow people.
05:08So we're going to set you guys up.
05:10We are going to pay for your meal and make sure you guys have a great time.
05:16And I appreciate you, Kendra, coming on with us.
05:19Again, I'm sorry that happened to you at the show.
05:21So you guys hang on for me, okay?
05:24Yeah, thank you.
05:24All right.
05:25All right, cool.
05:26Well, obviously, I know why he took her to a comedy show.
05:28You can tell.
05:29I mean, his personality was...
05:31Well, I don't think it was his fault.
05:33I mean, you go to a comedy show, you've got to kind of expect that you may get picked on in the crowd.
05:39That can happen to you.
05:40There are comedians that do that.
05:41I don't think he could have held himself well at all against a comedian.
05:44Oh, no.
05:45So I wouldn't have said anything about him either.
05:49I talk for a living.
05:50I don't think I can hold my own against a comedian.
05:52No, uh-uh.
05:53That's what they do for a living.
05:54They've got a response for everything.
05:55She's got to have a little bit of tougher skin than that, don't you think?
05:58Yeah.
05:59I don't know.
05:59They might be actually perfect for each other.
06:01All right.
06:02We've got to hear what you think.
