00:00All right, Tabitha, very jacked up about her date with Mark.
00:03Second date update right now.
00:04Commercial free new country, 99.5 QYK.
00:07Kevin, what are your first impressions of Tabitha?
00:11Well, I like what you said when you're like, hey, you felt really connected to him.
00:14She's like, yeah, he was really handsome, had all these great things to say.
00:18And she's like, she usually can get a good read on these things.
00:20And she is super confused.
00:23This never happens to me.
00:24She goes, I have a good day.
00:25I get another date.
00:26Right.
00:27And it's not happening on this one.
00:28And I like that confidence.
00:30And she needs our help to get that second date.
00:32All right.
00:32Well, you did what you do.
00:34And you got him on hold.
00:35OK, so let's bring him back on.
00:37Mark, you there?
00:39Yeah.
00:40Hey, Mark.
00:41Listen, man, I will just tell you this.
00:44I understand this is a weird thing to do.
00:47I know that Kevin told you we want to talk to you about a date you went on.
00:51We do.
00:52We want to talk to you about a girl named Tabitha.
00:55We heard you guys went to Nabruzzi's, had a great meal there.
00:59She thought you were very handsome.
01:01She thanked you for picking up the check.
01:03And she's been trying to get in touch with you, but no luck.
01:07And we want to know if we can set up another date between you two.
01:11I don't think that's going to work out, unfortunately.
01:15Well, that's kind of a bummer.
01:16Why is that?
01:17Well, like during dinner, she was just rude, you know, rude to the staff, rude to me.
01:25The thing that really drove me crazy is she answered three work calls in the middle of dinner.
01:32So the first one comes up, and I understand, you know, like a last-minute emergency work thing, you know, whatever.
01:39So she spent like 10 minutes on the phone, and then it's over.
01:43And I was like, okay, I can gloss over that.
01:44But then 20 minutes later, a second call, and she's like, do you mind if I take this?
01:49Well, I don't really have many options.
01:51I say, sure, you can take it.
01:53And then she's on the phone, and at one point she even says to the person on the other line, like, oh, no, no, no, I have time.
01:58What's up?
01:59Oh, wow.
02:00Whoa.
02:01So I'm guessing she didn't excuse herself from the table.
02:04This is right at the table?
02:04No, no, no.
02:05This is right.
02:06I'm just sitting right across from her, and it happened a third time, and that was the last straw.
02:13And it's embarrassing, you know, like she's blowing off the waitress.
02:16You know, everyone at the restaurant is like she's kind of drawing attention, having these work phone calls.
02:21I don't know exactly what it's about, but they were long calls, and she didn't seem in any rush
02:26or completely oblivious to the fact that she's on a date at all.
02:31So that was a huge turnoff, and I mean, honestly, it was just a deal breaker.
02:36Like, if you're on a date, you're on a date.
02:38If you're at work, then you're at work.
02:40It's 8 o'clock at night.
02:41You don't need anything that urgent.
02:43She's not a doctor or anything like that.
02:44She doesn't need to pick up every single phone call in the middle of a date.
02:48All right.
02:48Gotcha.
02:49Well, I will tell you, she made another phone call to us this morning, and that's probably you're figuring out how we got your phone number.
02:57I figured.
02:58Yeah, we have her on hold.
02:59She likes calling people.
03:00Yeah, I guess so, because she called us, and I want to bring her back on.
03:04Tabitha.
03:05Oh, wow.
03:07Tabitha?
03:07Yeah.
03:08Is that about right?
03:09Oh, my God.
03:10Okay, listen, I'm a real estate agent, and, you know, I thought that he got, you know,
03:15guys always say they want a woman who, you know, has a career and can provide as well,
03:20and, like, then all of a sudden they're intimidated by this.
03:22Like, I'm a real estate agent.
03:23Sometimes they get calls at night.
03:25Like, you have to be able to act now and be available at all times because, you know,
03:29with the market the way it is, like, there's no resting.
03:33Obviously, he does not get what my job is.
03:35Okay.
03:35Tabitha, first of all, I did not say anything or leave you on that I need a career woman to date.
03:41That wasn't me saying that at all.
03:43And also, like I said, you're not a doctor.
03:46Do you have to pick up every single phone call, even if it's at 8 at night?
03:49What, are you going to show a house at 8 at night and just leave the date?
03:52Yes, I've done it before.
03:55The point is that I can't just let these people, if they have questions, like, if we hold on for, you know,
04:01a half hour, an hour, sometimes that house is gone.
04:04So, like, I can't lose my clients, you know, and let my business run into the ground.
04:09I know other real estate agents, and they don't operate that way.
04:12That's all I'll say.
04:13It's very rude what you did.
04:15It's 8 o'clock at night.
04:16Like, if you've got work stuff, finish it up before 6, 7 at the latest, but block off the time.
04:22Put your phone on silent.
04:24Don't tell me what my business is.
04:25Like, that's rude.
04:27I'm not telling you what your business is.
04:28I'm just saying it's basically...
04:29You kind of are.
04:30You're telling me I'm not as good as a doctor, obviously.
04:34Like, oh, I'm not a doctor.
04:35I don't have to be on call.
04:36Well, other people are on call.
04:37Other people do have things like that.
04:39It's just a fact of life.
04:41Tabitha, I have a question for you, though.
04:42What about the other people in the restaurant?
04:44I mean, why not get up, go outside, or, you know...
04:48I mean, it's probably not ideal to take a phone call on a date, right?
04:51But at the same time, if you had to take it, why not walk outside?
04:55No one cared.
04:56I mean, it wasn't that big of a deal.
04:58Like, seriously, like, nobody else cared.
05:01No, Tabitha, people cared, and it's a nice restaurant, and it's got a quiet, romantic vibe,
05:07and then you're just jammering on the phone three separate times without getting up to excuse yourself.
05:12Oh, my God.
05:13You were on the phone for ten minutes per call.
05:15Like, a fourth of our date was just you on the phone, and you just...
05:18Two minutes.
05:19Looking at my plate of...
05:20You're exaggerating.
05:21Okay.
05:22Well, we can agree on that she took a couple phone calls during the date,
05:26and it obviously was a little distracting to Mark.
05:28Mark, let me ask you this question.
05:29What if Tabitha, and Tabitha, if you'd be willing to do this,
05:32what if Tabitha left her phone in the car, put it on silent for a date,
05:36would you be willing to go out with her again?
05:38No.
05:40The nail in the coffin was the third call, and I extended grace after the first and second.
05:45That's okay, because you know what?
05:46I am not going to put my phone in the car for any guys,
05:49because every guy, if I did this on a date, he would totally have...
05:53People would be like, oh, I totally understand.
05:55You need to make a living.
05:56Why is it different when I'm a woman?
05:57Can I do that with my phone?
05:58Seriously.
05:59You're not getting it.
06:00I'm going to jump in here.
06:01I'm sorry it's not going to work out between you two.
06:04Tabitha, thank you for coming on.
06:06Mark's just looking for something a little bit different.
06:08Mark, thank you for your honesty as well, and I wish you both luck.
06:12All right.
06:13Tabitha, I hope you learned something.
06:15Oh, okay.
06:16Jeez.
06:17All right, guys.
06:17Take care.
06:18I mean, you can't be doing that.
06:20On a first date?
06:21On a first date, you're taking a phone call.
06:22Second of all, at Nabruzzi's, it is kind of a quiet spot.
06:26It is.
06:27You can't be doing that.
06:28And your point about getting up, get up, get out of there.
06:32Say, hey, I'm so sorry.
06:33I have to take this phone call.
06:34Like, fine.
06:35All right.
06:35800-992-1099.
06:38800-992-1099.
06:40Are you backing Tabitha on this, or are you backing Markup on this?
06:44We want to know.
