00:00It's in sports, man. Oh, we're going to start with baseball and we're happy for a change as
00:04Mariswatch is back in full effect with Aaron Judge as Judge hit his number 51 last night and
00:13the Yanks beat the Angels 7-4. What do you think of that, God? I love it, man. That's my, what am I,
00:18I'm a big fan of him. 51 home runs and it's still August 31st. Unbelievable. The Yanks snapped
00:26their three-game losing streak. Most importantly, they went with bullpen by committee in the game
00:31rather than a traditional starter. So give the pen credit for getting the job done. Anthony Rizzo
00:37also hit his 30th home run of the year for the Yanks. Andrew Benintendi slugged his fifth. But
00:42back to Judge, 51 home runs on the last day of August. Truly amazing. And he's right at the spot
00:50that Roger Maris was in 1961 when Maris was going for 61 home runs in order to break Babe Ruth's
01:001927 record of 60. I'd like to see him do 62. Yes. Think he's going to do it? I think he's 62. He's
01:0811 away. Roughly 30. Roughly 30. Yeah, I think he's got it. 11 home runs in roughly 30 games. I'm
01:17rooting for him. I think it would be fantastic. And like we said, it's, uh, A would be a Yankees
01:23record. B, it would be an American league record because Bonds, McGuire, and Sosa all hit the
01:30ridiculous home runs in the national league. And thirdly, it was be honest. It would be a non-steroid
01:36record. Amen to that. And I think that would be huge because Bonds, McGuire, and Sosa, who we just
01:42mentioned hit their national league 60 home runs, 70 home runs when they were all on the juice. And it's
01:47nice that we have a little something. It's crazy to even say we're not expecting the Yankees
01:52to go far in the post season. It's nice to have something to kind of take away from that
01:57feeling. I mean, if they keep playing, if they play like they did the last three games and
02:02the way they've seen, yeah, played in August and July, they're not going to make it. But
02:05listen, maybe judge of yet again, can be the face of the franchise and literally inspire
02:11his teammates as these games are getting really, really exciting. You're seeing now the visiting
02:18fans give Aaron judge standing ovations. He got standing ovations from angels fans when
02:25he hit his 50th and 51st home runs. And so the, the whole sport now is starting to get
02:31electrified by this. So maybe his teammates can get inspired and follow suit, pick it up
02:37a notch. And maybe they can, because guess what? Guess what happened in 1961 with the
02:41Roger Maris home run chase? They, obviously he broke Babe Ruth's record, but the Yankees
02:45also won the world series. There you go. So maybe we could have that in common. Meanwhile,
02:50the Mets, they were defeated by the Dodgers that this is a big series four to three. This
02:54very well could be a nationally championship, uh, you know, preview best record in the majors.
02:59Yeah. These teams are playing great baseball, but Met reliever, uh, Jolie Rodriguez, he receives
03:04the loss. The Mets dropped to 82 and 48, obviously still in great shape. Three games in front
03:10of the Braves for first place in the NL East. The Phillies were crushed by the Diamondbacks
03:1412 to three. Aaron Nola receives the loss. The Phillies fall to 72 and 58, still in the
03:20second national league wildcard spot, half game ahead of the Padres tonight. Serena Williams
03:26back at second round of the U S open after being victorious in her first round matchup tonight
03:33though. She goes against a woman named Annette Kontavit of the nation of Estonia and Annette
03:41is ranked number two in the world. Wow. Okay. So Serena's got her work cut out for him. Serena
03:47announced this U S open will be her final tennis tournament. So every match may be her last,
03:55including tonight. That's right. All right. So as a result, they are putting Serena on in
03:59prime time. And the one good thing I've enjoyed about the Yankees being on West coast this week
04:04is I have watched Serena at seven and then I tune over to the Yankees at nine 30. So, uh,
04:10keep that in mind basketball, the Brooklyn nets looking to sign free agent forward, Mark Keith
04:14Morris, pending a physical football eight days away from the NFL. And guess what? Make sure you join
04:20the rats, bro. Football pick them challenge, baby. Right at the top at WRAT.com presented by Miller
04:25lights. Lots of fun. See how you do every week against us. Uh, uh, VIPs call us that in the football
04:33news, Las Vegas, a Raiders coach, John Gruden has spoke publicly for the first time since getting
04:38fired last October because of that email scandal. He said he was ashamed, but he did say, I, he feels
04:44he's a good person. He says the, the language in the emails was shameful, but still feels like he
04:49was a good person. He was fired because of those emails. Emails had lots of very bad language and,
04:55uh, you know, so, uh, we'll see if, uh, people accept that apology or not. And lastly, baseball.
05:03Um, I don't know what's happening in baseball. I don't know what's happening in Toronto,
05:07but a couple was arrested last night for engaging in intercourse in section 500 of the Rogers
05:15center section 500. Yes. In section 500 of the Rogers center, formerly known as the Toronto sky
05:21dome up to the concession stand for him. Huh? Like that. Hmm. The position was similar to how a
05:28catcher receives a baseball, except it was the woman in the catching in the catcher position as
05:34let's just say it would be as if the catcher was going, stay, uh, going up and down to like throw
05:38the ball back to the pitcher. We call that cow, cow girl. Oh yeah. I mean, I wanted to keep it
05:44in baseball. Thank you very much. So he got a radio run then, huh? He got an in the park, uh,
05:51home run. He rounded the bases. Uh, you got arrested for that. Oh yeah. The security guard
05:55made their way. This was all captured on foot on Twitter.
