00:00And Eastside, Dave does quick sports. Dave, what do we got?
00:03Okay, we're going to start with football as the Cincinnati Bengals took down the Miami Dolphins on Thursday night football.
00:10Final score, Bengals 27, Dolphins 15.
00:14Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow, 20 for 31 in the air, two touchdowns, no interceptions.
00:20He looked good.
00:21But what was not good was an extremely scary moment for Dolphins QB, Tua Tagovailoa,
00:27who had to leave the game and go immediately to the hospital with a head and neck injury following a sack in which Tua's head slammed onto the ground.
00:38The issue is that on Sunday, Tua got his head slammed onto the ground, got up woozy and stumbling,
00:45and everyone thought he had a concussion this past Sunday.
00:48The Dolphins told everyone it was a back injury, not a head injury, and people think the Dolphins lied to us.
00:57Now, just four days later on Thursday, he got his head, drove into the ground, and this was disturbing.
01:04His fingers started making involuntary crab almost gestures.
01:09He had no control over his fingers, which were spasm, like had these spasms in which the fingers were pointing in all different directions.
01:17I mean, that sounds like major league damage.
01:19Brain damage is what every single head trauma expert and doctor who was anywhere on in the media, whether they were on TV or on Twitter or what have you,
01:31every single head expert said brain damage.
01:36And I think this is going to be a major issue.
01:40Going forward, watch for this.
01:43I'm going to be posting.
01:44The videos are disturbing, but I got to post them because I want Rat Rock Nation to weigh in on this because who's at fault here?
01:52I saw the finger thing, man.
01:52The finger thing is creepy.
01:54It's really bad.
01:56It's disturbing.
01:57And if you're the Miami Dolphins coach, don't you do something?
02:01Or if you're the Miami Dolphins doctor, did you just give bogus reports?
02:07Did you fraudulently say the guy was good to go when the guy wasn't?
02:10Because this guy, you may have just ended this guy's entire career.
02:14I mean, when the guy says brain damage.
02:16What's the latest on his condition?
02:18Oh, no, he's in the hospital.
02:19He's still in the hospital?
02:20Oh, yeah.
02:21We're not going to know until next week, early next week, hopefully.
02:24So he can lift a spoon to his mouth.
02:26I mean, this is terrible.
02:28He's a young man, and this was terrible.
02:31And he clearly was knocked out on Sunday.
02:33He got up.
02:34It wasn't a back injury.
02:35He was staggering around like he just got hit by Rocky Balboa in the head 15 times.
02:41That's true.
02:42It was obvious when you have the woozy legs.
02:45So now this is the thing for the NFL again on how dangerous this football sport is.
02:50Yeah.
02:50I don't know how they're going to ever get around the head trauma in the NFL,
02:54but when you see a guy and his fingers are making involuntary crab-like gestures
03:00because he has no control over his fingers, I'd never want to see that again.
03:05I mean, I'm posting it only so that Rat Rock Nation can weigh in.
03:09But anyway, the Dolphins dropped a 3-1.
03:12I mean, that's almost just a side note, and the Bengals improved to 2-2.
03:16This weekend, the Giants take on the Bears at MetLife Stadium on Sunday, 1 o'clock.
03:22Giants are 2-1.
03:23The Bears are 2-1.
03:25The Jets go against the Steelers in Pittsburgh, also at 1 o'clock.
03:29Jets are 1-2.
03:31Steelers are 1-2.
03:32And then the Eagles play the Jaguars at home in Philly at 1 o'clock as well.
03:37Hey, NFL offices, thanks for scheduling all three local NFL games at the exact same time, stupid.
03:43Meanwhile, the Eagles are 3-0, and the Jags are a surprising 2-1.
03:48The Jaguars look really good.
03:50They fired Oberyn Meyer.
03:52They got that Eagles coach, and they're looking solid.
03:54Baseball, the Phillies suddenly in a tailspin.
03:57They lost their fifth game in a row last night to the Cubs
04:00as the Phillies fell to Chicago 2-0.
04:03The Phillies are still in the third and final National League wildcard spot,
04:07but only by a half a game over Milwaukee.
04:09Okay, and this thing is getting close.
04:11Tonight, the Yankees are at home against the Baltimore Orioles,
04:14and Aaron Judge has a chance to attain American League history all for himself.
04:20Judge tries to hit his 62nd home run of the year this evening.
04:24Of course, this would break in with Roger Maris.
04:27They both are at 61 home runs each, which is the most in AL history.
04:32So let's go, Aaron Judge.
04:34Just learn from a secret source that the game originally scheduled to be on Amazon Prime
04:41will be available on the Yes Network as well.
04:45For the Yankees tonight?
04:46Yes, that's what they're reporting because since Judge is going for history.
04:49Then he'll be able to see it.
04:50Right, and that's a good decision.
04:53It's about time.
04:55I mean, it's not as severe as if it was only on Apple TV.
04:58No, Apple's the worst.
04:59Apple's the worst.
05:00Because more people have Amazon.
05:01Yeah, but nevertheless, I like that they're putting it on TV.
05:06So the Yankees, again, Orioles tonight, 7 o'clock.
05:09Hey, man, it's always on the radio.
05:11Just want to point that out.
05:12Speaking of which, you've got to say this.
05:14Roger Maris Jr. is saying that if Aaron Judge hits his 62nd home run of the year,
05:19that Judge is the true single-season home run champion and not Barry Bonds.
05:25Maris Jr. further said he believes the stats put up by Bonds, Mark McGuire, and Sammy Sosa are illegitimate.
05:33That's funny, huh?
05:34So now you've got Maris Jr. in there weighing in.
05:38I mean, sadly, the record books ain't going to say that.
05:41No.
05:42Again, for me, it's always just been about consistency.
05:45At this point, I don't care.
05:46But either Bonds, McGuire, and Sosa go into the Hall of Fame and their records are recognized,
05:51or if you have banished Bonds, McGuire, and Sosa from the Hall of Fame, take away their records.
05:58Just give me consistency.
05:59I don't care.
06:01Finally, oh, by the way, Mets, Braves, huge series.
06:04Oh, my God.
06:05The Mets need to—they want to get the division.
06:08Yeah, Mets are holding on to a one-game lead over Atlanta, and the regular season is coming to an end.
06:12Mets play in Atlanta tonight.
06:16Finally, basketball.
06:16Congratulations to Philadelphia 76er and megastar Joel Embiid.
06:22Embiid, who was born in Cameroon, has attained his U.S. citizenship.
06:28Embiid completed the process, passed all the tests, and now he calls it, quote,
06:33a blessing to be an American.
