00:00It's on 12 Mile Southfield. We are having an event this Sunday, which is our fifth event in our series of resources and workshops for our clients.
00:12Wow.
00:13And yes, we've been doing this for a while now. And we'll be featuring...
00:17Amber.
00:18Amber, you gotta get to know that microphone.
00:22All of us on this one microphone.
00:22You gotta get to know that microphone.
00:25Hello, good morning everybody.
00:26You gotta get to know that microphone.
00:28There you go.
00:30You gotta get to know that. And you got to get familiar with the microphone.
00:34Now we can hear it.
00:34Now it's gonna be a good time. We ask that everybody come out, get dressed up, look really good, and just to impress, show up, to show out.
00:45We have Sam the singer serenading us during brunch and dessert.
00:48Oh, there's a brunch?
00:49Yes.
00:49There's a brunch.
00:50Okay, okay.
00:51It's a brunch.
00:51Women's empowerment brunch. So there will be a full brunch menu. We have a drink, customized drink menu.
01:00Wow.
01:00Okay.
01:01Bellini's. Yes, we have a wisdom panel, which we have. All these women on the panel are our actual clients.
01:09We're not gonna go fast with that one.
01:10We're not gonna go fast.
01:11Mm-mm-mm-mm-mm.
01:11You wanna know about the Greeks?
01:12Get to know the microphone.
01:13You gotta get to know the microphone.
01:15A wisdom...
01:16Y'all date the same person.
01:17Women's panel.
01:17There you go.
01:18There you go.
01:18Yes.
01:19There you go.
01:19A wisdom panel.
01:21Yes.
01:21How did you come up with that, and what's the story behind the wisdom panel?
01:27Okay, so I've been in business for 15 years, and I didn't have a mentor at the time.
01:33All of the clients that come through the spa, they basically were mentoring me, and I just
01:39thought it was my normal life until I started to mentor the clients that were under me, and
01:44then I felt like I should bridge the gap because I kind of felt like I was hoarding the information
01:49that these women were giving me.
01:50Wow.
01:50Wow, that's...
01:51So, as the younger generation came in, I started to talk to them, and then I just wanted to
01:57mesh it all together and put them all in one room.
01:59So, at the event will be this panel of wisdom.
02:02Yes.
02:02People will have an opportunity to just fire off questions.
02:05Yes.
02:05The women will speak about their aha moments, what made them shift in their journey of being
02:10self-aware, and when they decided that they want their life to be different, and they
02:16wanted more than what they were experiencing.
02:20Yes.
02:20So, they just all shifted, and one of them really got into journaling, one of them really
02:25started doing workshops, and one of them really speaks to me about being self-aware and working
02:30on your personal growth, and that's how I've grown and been able to stay in business for
02:34the last 15 years.
02:36So, I just wanted to share and not...
02:38They will speak about their aha moment.
02:40Their aha moments.
02:41I love that.
02:42I love that.
02:43And actually give actionable things that the ladies can take away, like workshops and books
02:48and resources, and not just, I did this and now I'm here, is actually things that they
02:53can use.
02:54That they can use.
02:55I like that.
02:56I like that.
02:57We've not heard from you yet.
02:58Tell us...
02:59Tell them, all y'all date the same person.
03:01Come on, boyfriend.
03:02Here we go.
03:05What role do you play in this?
03:07Well, the role that I play in this is I guess you can say more so that she's been mentoring
03:13me, just showing me different things of ways that I can go about realizing my dreams in
03:22certain situations.
03:24And I can also say I'm just a good old country girl that has a lot of lovely customer service
03:32and make it feel...
03:33You see how she changed that voice?
03:34She did that voice shift.
03:35Yeah.
03:36I'm from Nashville, Tennessee.
03:37She did the shift.
03:38Yeah.
03:39She dropped it on.
03:40Wow.
03:41Yeah.
03:42She shifted that.
03:43What you know about Brentwood?
03:44Girl, let me tell you about Brentwood.
03:45And Antioch.
03:46You can't leave Antioch in...
03:47That's where my mama knew I'm at.
03:48What?
03:49Antioch or Brentwood?
03:50My mama's in Antioch.
03:51Okay.
03:52We were raised, born and raised in Nashville, Tennessee.
03:55Wow.
03:56So, we were around a lot of good people.
03:59You get to Detroit how?
04:02Well, I made it to Detroit to help out one of my aunts.
04:05Okay.
04:06And, you know, being the eldest daughter of my mom, that was my responsibility.
04:11There you go.
04:12And we take that seriously.
04:13Yes, we do.
04:14So, I packed up from Nashville, Tennessee and came here and landed in Southfield, Michigan.
04:19And...
04:20How did you meet...
04:21Yeah.
04:22How did you meet Danielle?
04:23I'm her male lady.
04:24Yes.
04:25No kidding.
04:26Wow.
04:27People flock to the...
04:28Yeah.
04:29But they know how they feel.
04:30People go around people that make them feel good.
04:32It was a vibe.
04:33It was a vibe.
04:34And I have been in that neighborhood for seven years.
04:37And she's been there for 15.
04:40And just seven in that location.
04:43Yes.
04:44The owner.
04:45But she's been...
04:46There you go.
04:47Wow.
04:48That's a fascinating story.
04:49So, tell us how the...
04:50Danielle, tell us how the event came about.
04:54Why does this...
04:55Did you believe that this had to happen?
04:58And as you said, this isn't the first one.
05:00Right.
05:01So, every event is a series of helping women to be more self-aware.
05:05So, like our first event, we have one of my mentors come out and teach young ladies how to network because they didn't know how to approach people.
05:14Sure.
05:15The second event taught a lot of the clients about exactly how to care for their skin.
05:20The third event had clients come in and teach them about self-defense.
05:25We have...
05:26And I...
05:27Everything is in the network.
05:28All of these women are my actual clients.
05:30We don't really go out of network.
05:32We will, but we didn't have to because we were building a community and we didn't even know it.
05:36And then...
05:37So, I would just listen to the clients and what they needed and what they wanted.
05:40And then they all were saying that they just wanted to be around like-minded women who thought how they thought and they felt like they were lonely in their journey.
05:48So...
05:49This is great.
05:50Yeah.
05:51I was like, let's create a community.
05:52Angie?
05:53Again, just the wisdom panel.
05:56Yeah.
05:57And when I saw your flyer and I saw the variety of women, I've always wanted women to get together like this.
06:04Yes, me too.
06:05And lift each other up.
06:06And when I heard, you know, the passion in your voice about getting the word out to women, that's why I wanted you here today.
06:14Because I think these types of events are so, so important.
06:18And I appreciate you putting this together.
06:21And, you know, what is your time?
06:24What year is this for this?
06:25Fifth.
06:26No, we've actually did all those events last year.
06:28Oh, you did five last year?
06:30Yeah.
06:31This is our fifth one.
06:32Of this year?
06:33Yeah, we just started.
06:34God told me to do it a long time ago.
06:35I didn't.
06:36He circled me right back around and now we're doing these events.
06:38He made you spin the block.
06:39Every time.
06:40When you don't walk with no purpose, he gonna make you spin the block.
06:43That's the title of a book.
06:44God made me spin the block.
06:45Yeah.
06:46That's beautiful.
06:47We have these events going on to create.
06:50You know, I don't look at it like everybody's gonna walk away with 140 best friends.
06:55It's about quality.
06:56Come on.
06:57And if you come with one person who you can vibe with and helps you to go to the next level,
07:01that's all you need, really.
07:03Beautiful.
07:04That's all you really need.
07:05I'm gonna get a closing thought from each of you.
07:08And we'll start with you.
07:10Yep.
07:11Your turn this time.
07:12It's your turn to date.
07:13He buying you a drink.
07:14Now get close.
07:15Get close.
07:16You gotta get close.
07:17He buying you.
07:18He getting you a top shelf drink.
07:19You gotta get close.
07:20My name is Amber.
07:21I've been under Danielle.
07:22I would like to say that she's essentially my mentor too.
07:26So I think it's a really good event for just women in general, especially like younger women.
07:33I'm about to turn 30 next month.
07:35And so I just think this is a good event for even younger women to kind of get to.
07:41Get dressed up with your girlfriends.
07:43Look real cute.
07:44Come out.
07:45Take a lot of the wisdom because I feel like a lot of the women in the room are like really heavy hitters, especially in the way in which like I would like to shape in kind of.
07:56And you had no idea when you first went there that you'd be part of something like this.
08:02No, not at all.
08:03It was just the spa at first.
08:04No, not at all.
08:05It was just the spa and I've come to grow with the spa and I'm like excited.
08:11What a blessing.
08:12What a blessing.
08:13Yeah.
08:14That we are doing, the women that we are like now bringing into the community.
08:18Allying ourselves with, right.
08:19You wanted to say something quickly, Angie?
08:21Yeah, you know, I do.
08:22You said something, Danielle, bridging the gap.
08:25Yes.
08:26And I think that's a key thing that I want everybody to listen to out there.
08:29Like she just said, young, all ages, what ages are invited?
08:33What do you want?
08:34Everybody.
08:35So we have clients from, I'm not going to put any names out there, but we, a lot of
08:41the grandmothers come to our spa because we're so big on professionalism.
08:45We know what we're doing.
08:47When you come in, it's very convenient.
08:49We're very respectful.
08:50So they value when they come in and they're, we don't call them by their first names.
08:54Your name is Ms. So-and-so.
08:56We're old school.
08:57Old school, yes.
08:58We really give them the respect that they deserve.
09:00And not only that, like we teach the younger generation how to be professional in environments.
09:07And we, like when I say bridge the gap, my grandmother died, you know, like before I
09:13really woke up.
09:14So then when I'm looking for answers, I didn't have anybody.
09:17So I really went and started.
09:20I used to just randomly talk to the clients because that's about relationship building.
09:23But when I needed to know answers, when I started to wake up, I'm like, oh, wow,
09:26you, you're, you're big in management.
09:28How do I do this?
09:29And they openly share.
09:30Wow.
09:31That is amazing.
09:32You ask them a question, they openly share with you.
09:34They, no one asks them.
09:35Right.
09:36They just share.
09:37That's true.
09:38No one asks.
09:39Because we want to, I'm over 60 now, so I could say this.
09:43Right.
09:44We want to share that.
09:45I always say, I want to give away the information that somebody gave me.
09:49I don't want to leave here hoarding all this information.
09:51Right.
09:52So we want to give it away.
09:54We just seek opportunities where it's a fertile ground to give it away.
09:59Because you can't just go and talk to everybody.
10:01You have to be led.
10:02For me, it has to be a spiritual introduction.
10:04Yes, ma'am.
10:05So we want to give it away.
10:06We want to say, hey, baby girl, listen, let me talk to you for a minute.
10:08Well, this is the event to get that done.
10:10Yeah, the auntie moment.
10:11Yeah, the auntie moment.
10:12Yes.
10:13Let me get your closing thoughts.
10:14Oh.
10:15That's the worker.
10:16That's to Miss Tennessee.
10:17I will, thank you.
10:18Yeah, Miss Tennessee.
10:19There you go.
10:20But yeah, as far as, like you're saying, bridging the gap and everything, it's a whole
10:26different dynamic.
10:27I'm 48, and there's still a lot of information that I am lacking and that I need.
10:34And this wisdom brunch will be able to put me in a setting where whatever I need, whether
10:41I get it from someone older than me or I get it from somebody younger than me that has been
10:46there and done that, I can get it.
10:48Yes.
10:49I can get it in a comfortable setting.
10:51I can be relaxed.
10:52And I know that each and every lady that is there has been at my point at some point
10:58in their life, and I can get to the next step.
11:01Well, that is very powerful.
11:03Now I've got a lot of women saying, Mace, you got to tell me where this is.
11:08How can I get a ticket to it?
11:10Yes, you can.
11:12The event is going to be held at the Event House, which is located at 27701 Southfield
11:18Road.
11:19Wait, you got to say it slow.
11:20You got to say it slow.
11:21You got to go real slow, Tennessee.
11:2227701 Southfield Road.
11:25The Event House.
11:26Yes.
11:27The Event House.
11:28It's in Lathrop Village.
11:29It's in the Plaza.
11:30Yeah.
11:31That's between Panera Bread and the FedEx building.
11:34Yeah.
11:35The event is going to be held between 1 and 5 p.m.
11:38Brunch will be served at 2 p.m.
11:40But you want to get there so you can get serenaded by Sam.
11:44Yeah.
11:45Sing and Sam.
11:46That's going to be nice.
11:47All right.
11:48So just go to Eventbrite.
11:49No, no, no.
11:50They can go to our website.
11:51No, use the mic.
11:52Sorry.
11:53Okay, there you go.
11:54Come on, man.
11:55Come on, sir.
11:56Come over here.
11:57Yes.
11:58What do you do now?
11:59Get your purchase tickets on huevine.com.
12:01That's H-U-E-V, as in Victor, I-N-E.com.
12:06And we will see you at the event.
12:09Yeah.
12:10Thank you, ladies.
12:11Yes.
12:12Appreciate it.
12:14Thank you for sharing today.
12:15Thank you so much.
12:16My first media.
12:17Great job.
