00:00So, Lorraine, when I asked if you lied about your college major, you made a big coughing
00:06sound effect.
00:06Yeah, I went into a coughing fit over here.
00:08I don't know what happened.
00:10Maney.
00:10Ugh.
00:11Maney.
00:12When did I lie about my major?
00:14Oh, I don't know.
00:15Anytime you were trying to pick up ladies at the bar, telling them that you were an archaeologist.
00:20Oh, yeah.
00:20Well, okay, that's true.
00:22I lied about what college I went to.
00:24You also did that.
00:25Yeah, I didn't lie.
00:26Really?
00:27I mean, I majored in communications.
00:28It is what it is.
00:29I specifically remember a story of somebody asking you, when you told them that you were
00:35an archaeologist, what your thesis was in college, and you lied and said that it was the evolution
00:41of birds or dinosaurs to birds.
00:44You know what I used?
00:45The Jurassic Park.
00:47And you know what?
00:48That girl knew it, too.
00:50She walked away.
00:51I just want to see how far this goes.
00:52Oh, but not only that, but I think she kind of liked me, and when she asked me that, she
00:56goes, and please don't lie to me, or something like that.
00:58She said something like that.
00:59And I was like, oh, this ain't going to be good.
01:01All I got is lies, sister.
01:04You were already leaned in at that point.
01:06Oh, work is so hard to pick up women back in the day.
01:08Oh, my God.
01:10What I did, and this was like, the summer was the best, because we had a house down at
01:15the beach, you know?
01:16So we would go down there every weekend, you know, you get like eight people in a house
01:20that sleep six, and we all split the cost, and you're just going out every Friday and
01:25Saturday night.
01:25And when you're not at the bars, like working women, as I would say, like you were at the
01:29beach working.
01:30Uh-huh.
01:31You just bodies everywhere in that house.
01:33Bathtubs, floors, stepping over people.
01:36Yeah.
01:36But this is about Reddit's M-I-N-A hole, and one of our producers brought this to us, and
01:46she thought it was funny because she said that she remembered someone who was majoring, a friend
01:54of hers was majoring in computer science.
01:56But they, no, I take that back.
02:01They were majoring in illustration, but their father was from Japan and very strict.
02:09So she lied and said that she was majoring in computer science so that they would continue
02:15to pay for her college education.
02:18Okay.
02:19Which I guess technically in today's world, like illustration would probably be like animation
02:25on a computer, CGI, like that kind of stuff.
02:27So was she really lying or just bending the truth?
02:30Well, it ain't computer science.
02:32I mean.
02:34And think about it.
02:36There's like a ton of majors out there.
02:38Which ones are we missing?
02:39704, 570, 95, 95.
02:41Like which major would you tell your parents, like, oh, I'm majoring in something else because
02:49I'm not telling them that I'm majoring in, you know, and it's different than taking a class.
02:53We're talking about a major.
02:54Yeah.
02:54You know, like theater.
02:56What's wrong with theater?
02:58I mean, unless you're on the Broadway musical that's traveling frozen, what are you doing
03:04with your degree?
03:04My parents were very proud of my theater major before I changed it eight times.
03:11You didn't lie to them?
03:13No.
03:14And I did theater in high school too, so I think they saw it coming.
03:16Uh-huh.
03:17But I quickly realized that I was not talented enough to be a theater major.
03:22Uh, so we found a bunch of funny majors.
03:25And by the way, we want you to chime in at 704, 570, 95, 95.
03:29If you lied to your parents about your major so they would continue to pay for your college.
03:33In other words, you told them that you were majoring in business when you were really majoring
03:37in adventure education.
03:39Is that a thing?
03:40It is.
03:41Plymouth State University offers it.
03:42Rock climbing fundamentals, canoe paddling fundamentals, wilderness expedition, et cetera.
03:47Whitewater kayaking.
03:49That's a major.
03:50I might be down with that.
03:51That sounds fun.
03:53Uh, there's also a major auctioneering.
03:56What?
03:57Mm-hmm.
03:58That's an actual major auctioneering?
04:01Like, where they talk really fast and they, like, you bid on things?
04:04Yeah.
04:05They teach you auctioneering law, preparations for an auction, and after completing the program,
04:10you'd be approved to become an auctioneer at Pennsylvania's Community College, Central
04:15Pennsylvania Community College.
04:17Sounds about right.
04:17Don't tell your parents that you're majoring in bagpiping, which you can get at Carnegie
04:23Mellon University.
04:24Why are all these in Pennsylvania?
04:28The slacker state.
04:31I'm from Pennsylvania.
04:32I can say that.
04:32Here's another one for you.
04:34You moved from Pennsylvania to where?
04:36Florida.
04:36And you can major in citrus at Florida Southern College.
04:43Soil science.
04:45An orange.
04:45Citrus majors after graduation can work at large citrus production companies.
04:51That's pretty important.
04:52It's one of our biggest products that we sell down there and grow.
04:58Jorge in Indian Trail said, so I quit school to follow my dream of social media, but my
05:01parents think I'm still in school.
05:04Taylor in Lincolnton said, I majored in fermentation science.
05:08It's only offered at a handful of colleges.
05:09They offer it at App State.
05:11Luckily, my parents were supportive.
05:12I don't even know what that is.
05:13You mostly learn how to make beer and wine, she says.
05:15Oh, that's fun.
05:17Let's see.
05:18I majored in technical theater and told my parents I would minor in business until I
05:22got my first job while I'm in school and they saw how much money I made off of it and
05:26said that I better just stick to the theater thing.
05:28I'll she's on this screen.
