00:00I laugh just thinking about this story.
00:03Yeah, tell us what happened.
00:05Have you ever seen somebody break something and they're like, no, it's not broken.
00:08And it is so clearly broken that everybody in the room is like, no, I think that's broken.
00:15So that happened to us last weekend while we were on vacation.
00:19And we, my husband and I were out in Napa Valley.
00:23And one of the days we got to just chill and sit by the pool in the afternoon.
00:27And I had gotten a lot of sun the day before.
00:31So I wanted to be in the shade and he wanted to be in the sun.
00:34Okay.
00:35So they sit us down and they walk away.
00:38And I was like, I really wanted to be in the shade.
00:40And he's like, I'll just put the umbrella up for you.
00:42I'm like, okay.
00:43So he goes to try to open this umbrella and he's forcing it.
00:49And I, he's, I can see like the umbrella is struggling.
00:53Right.
00:54Okay.
00:55And I go, Dallas, you're going to break it.
00:57And as soon as I said that, the umbrella flew open and one of the arms was like dangling
01:05down.
01:06And when it, when he forced it open, I saw something fly into the pool.
01:11I was like, I think you just broke it.
01:13And he was like, no, it's not broken.
01:15And I was like, no, I'm pretty sure it's broken.
01:20I saw a piece flying into the pool, not to mention the arm is dangling off of it.
01:24So I think it was like the joint that holds it together, which is why it's dangling down
01:28now.
01:29And all of a sudden there's like three people at our, at our chairs, right?
01:33Like the manager is over there, the towel person, like, everyone's like, can I help you,
01:37Mr.
01:38Shreger?
01:38You know, whatever.
01:39And he's like, no, no, no, I got it.
01:40It's fine.
01:41It's, it's done now.
01:42He thought, he thought it, he knew it was broken.
01:46He's just playing cool at this point.
01:48And I'm embarrassed.
01:49I'm like, no, it's broken.
01:51I think it's broken.
01:53And the pool manager's like, do you want us to bring you another umbrella?
01:57He's like, no, this one works fine.
01:58Look, it's great.
02:01Meanwhile, like, but it was, it was open and staying open.
02:05It was open and staying open.
02:07He just broke like one of the arms.
02:09So just the one arm was hanging down.
02:11I have to go through my phone and see if I have a picture.
02:13So funny.
02:13But after they all left, I'm sitting there laughing my butt off.
02:18And he's like, no, it's not broken.
02:19I'm like, Dallas, it is broken.
02:21So at that point, I got into the pool and found the piece that had flown off and like
02:26came up and was like, is this not broken?
02:28Is this not off the umbrella?
02:31Then I didn't drive it home.
02:32You know, that's funny.
02:32I like his, and a lot of guys are guilty of this, the caveman mentality where it's
02:38like, if, if it's not working the way it should, it just needs more force.
02:42Right.
02:43Right.
02:44Like clearly something stuck.
02:46Like my dad was big on if we, and he, my dad didn't know how to put anything together.
02:51Like he was the most unhandy guy and still is to this day at 81 years old.
02:56But like, I remember working on projects with him where something would come in a box and
02:59all the parts would come together.
03:00Right.
03:01And obviously if the, if it comes in a box, the, the screw fits the hole.
03:06Right.
03:06Well, on a very rare occasion, the screw doesn't fit the hole.
03:09My dad never thought all the parts were always wrong.
03:11And he's like, they sent us the wrong thing.
03:13It's not working, but he was doing something wrong.
03:16User error.
03:17User error.
03:18Big time.
03:18But no, that's, so now he's going to get a drill and drill the hole bigger.
03:21I, I mean, I appreciate that as long as you can figure it out.
03:25But I mean, this was broken, broken.
03:28And I appreciated the fact that Dallas was going to use his sales tactics to try to talk
03:33everybody in the room into the fact that it wasn't broken.
03:36Oh my gosh.
03:37That's so funny.
