00:00Oh, I really hope this guy comes with a bowl of oatmeal. Here's your look at the brand new NECA toys. This does Sesame Street ultimate birds
00:07I don't think there's anybody that can rock a turtleneck better than Burt and before we look at Burt's turtleneck and more
00:31We're gonna take the tape measure and of course see how tall the figure stands
00:34This is one of three figures as far as I know that NECA has released so far from the Sesame Street line
00:38They've also released his roommate Ernie and the count
00:41You can also count on the fact that we're gonna be looking at the other two figures as soon as I get the chance to pick them up
00:46As for how how high Burt stands the answer to that question is six and a half inches in height
00:51Translates though to a figure that's 17 centimeters tall of Burt's accessories funny enough
00:56The figure does come include with a capital A I didn't realize Burt starts with A
01:00You would think though of all the characters that they could have actually released with letters
01:03Burt would have come include with a capital B
01:05Either way though the A as you can see does have a face on there
01:08A is for Apple
01:09A is for many other things also as well
01:12I do like that the actual A does look like it's the same material as a Muppet
01:16It's kind of sort of got that texturing feel to it
01:18Just recently in fact we actually looked at the Boss Fight Studio Fraggle Rock
01:21And one of my real takeaways though for Gobo was the fact I really wish that the figure could have had texturing similar to this
01:27Anyways nice little capital A
01:28Moving on to the side the figure does also come include with his pigeon
01:32Now I think this is Bernice
01:33Bernice
01:35He doesn't have any feed so I don't really know what the bird's really been eating or snacking on for that matter
01:39Luckily though Bernice hasn't made any bit of a mess anywhere around the rest of the accessories
01:43It's a nice little painted bird
01:45He does have technically also a finger
01:47Although I don't think he can really rest Bernice on top of the finger
01:51That'd be just next to impossible
01:52Maybe you could balance it
01:53I don't think that's going to happen though
01:55I guess they probably could have maybe put pegs right there
01:58Or I guess they could have maybe molded the hand to have Bernice on top of it
02:01Still though you get yourself the pigeon friend
02:03So that's not a bad thing at all
02:05The figure does also come included with his book
02:08Now what's the book about?
02:09The book is about boring stories
02:11One of the things that Bert apparently really likes is boring stories
02:14Hopefully this review isn't going to be all that boring
02:16The pages themselves also don't open up
02:18You can't close the book at all
02:20So you know to just have this displayed on a shelf somewhere
02:23I guess you probably could have this also in the figure's hands
02:25The figure does also have like hands I guess for holding the book
02:28You just basically
02:29Whoop!
02:29Don't want to drop the book in the process
02:31You basically would just take the book
02:32Feed it in between his fingers
02:33And you can have the figure hold the book that way
02:35Probably would also help as well Bert be able to read
02:38If the book was the right side up
02:40So we'll just get the book like kind of in his hand like that
02:43Yeah he holds it okay
02:44Okay
02:45What else does he have?
02:47Well I mean he also does come included with his rare bottle cap collection
02:50One of the very elusive Figgy Fizz happens to be part of his bottle cap collection
02:55I do actually like that they've taken the time to detail each one of the bottle caps
02:59Some of them though look very similar to one another
03:01It also actually is inside of a frame
03:04So there's a way to at least prop that up
03:05The figure does also come included with his collection of paper clips
03:09I remember like
03:10Was it Christmas on Sesame Street?
03:12Bert and Ernie had to exchange gifts
03:14And they went to Mr. Hooper
03:15And unfortunately though
03:16They only had their only other thing to pay for the items
03:19So Ernie for example saw the cigarette box
03:22A cigar box
03:23And wanted to get it for Bert's paper clip collection
03:26Unfortunately though he didn't have anything to pay for it
03:29So instead what he ended up giving to Mr. Hooper
03:31Was he gave his rare
03:32It was not his rare
03:33But his rubber ducky
03:34Bert ended up wanting to get the soap dish for Ernie's rubber ducky
03:38But only really had his paper clip collection
03:40So he ended up giving Mr. Hooper his paper clip collection
03:43In the end though Mr. Hooper visited both of them
03:45In the basement apartment on Sesame Street
03:48And he ended up giving both the gifts of the rubber ducky back to Ernie
03:51And the paper clip collection back to Bert's
03:54It was a good feel good story
03:55The paper clip collection as you can see
03:57Is now sitting inside the cigar box
03:59Cigar box does close
04:01So that's a really nice touch also as well
04:02It says boy oh boy
04:04Oh boy
04:05Really nice the fact that they would include that
04:07I also love the fact that the lid can actually close
04:10He does also come include some swappable hands
04:13Again I know we've already looked at a couple of these already
04:15Comes with pointing hands
04:16They're good for holding the book hands
04:17Comes with also a pair of
04:19I guess these hands would also really be good for holding the book too
04:22Because you can also take the book and just wedge it in between the fingers
04:24Yeah that's probably the better hand to do the job
04:27Still it's not really a hand for holding Bernice
04:29But I guess you could probably try your best to balance it on the end of the finger
04:32For the rest of the remaining accessories
04:34Bert does come include with a head sculpt
04:36Now the head does have an alternate face
04:38Where of course now this does have the opening mouth
04:40If you look at the differences obviously between the two
04:42The faces are very similar
04:43The mouth is open clearly on one and not on the other
04:46You may also notice too
04:48That the placement of the eyebrows is a little bit different too
04:50Would you actually believe that Bert does have
04:52Articulate
04:53I don't even want to really say articulate
04:54He has interchangeable eyebrows
04:56So if you like maybe the lower eyebrows
04:58From Bert's head on this one
05:00And you would like to maybe put it on this one instead
05:02All you have to do
05:03And I can't believe they did this
05:04You just detach the eyebrows
05:06There's a hole here and a hole here
05:08And a peg on either side
05:09You take the eyebrows from this Bert's
05:11Don't lose them whatever you do
05:13And just plug them in place
05:15That's all you have to do
05:16So if you want to have Bert a little sterner
05:18I mean Bert seemed to always have this look
05:20When I mean when Bert Ernie was always like laughing
05:23That's what he was doing
05:26Bert would end up always having this look on his face
05:29The fact that they would do that
05:31And not rely solely on just head sculpts alone
05:33To pull the job off
05:34That's so awesome
05:35That NECA would do that
05:36And of course also we want to make sure
05:37That we put the eyebrows back in place
05:39What was Bert's laugh
05:41It was
05:42I can't remember now
05:44It'll come to me
05:46It'll come to me a little bit later
05:47Yeah you can also do the eyebrows too
05:49Where
05:50See if they're curled
05:51That's the way Bert would laugh
05:54So you can really technically take the eyebrows
05:56And flip them around as well the other way
05:57So if you really want to have the eyebrows a little bit lower
05:59I mean being the fact that it's not a completely straight line
06:01The unibrow you basically could just flip around
06:04If you want to have it a little bit lower down on his face
06:05Changing out the head sculpt by the way
06:08Is a pretty easy thing to do
06:09Just grab onto the turtleneck sweater that he has
06:12And just sort of wiggle the head
06:13Until finally it frees itself from the peg
06:15Take the new head that you want to use
06:16And just plug it in place
06:18You may have to apply a lot more pressure
06:21Than you think you have to apply
06:22I've already taken the liberty of heating the head
06:24But I guess I didn't really heat the head as much as I could have
06:27And of course you just plug the head
06:28Plug the head back in place that way
06:30Spin it around so you guys can see it from all the sides
06:33It's you know it's kind of interesting though
06:35That if you were to look at the letter A
06:37Which again Bert does not start with the letter A
06:39It's actually textured
06:40And yet though Bert's face and his hands aren't
06:44I kind of thought that they would have used
06:45The same sort of texturing style
06:47As they did for the letter A
06:48Anyways though
06:49Maybe they probably end up doing that
06:50Because it was a bit of a distraction
06:52From the figure's sculpt
06:53Maybe that's probably one of the reasons
06:54Why they chose not to
06:55But the head sculpt though for Bert
06:56Either one of them by the way
06:57Looks really really nice
06:59Big fan of Bert
07:00I don't know if I like Bert as much as Ernie
07:02I mean Grover
07:03Grover still for me is like the goats
07:06The goats when it comes to Sesame Street characters
07:08I do hope we get ourselves a super Grover down the road
07:10As for though the rest of Bert's
07:12What are we talking about here?
07:14Bert's sweater here
07:15The sweater is stripes
07:17And stripes is pretty close to the way they look in the actual series
07:20It's alternating colors of yellow, red, and blue
07:22I mean you talk about Freddy Krueger's colors being hard on the eyes
07:25Nothing more harder on the eyes
07:27Than looking at Bert's sweater
07:29Of course it does have the turtleneck on the top
07:31This sweater itself is actually made of a very soft plastic
07:34You could feel if you were here right now
07:36Wait, how'd you get in here?
07:38Get out
07:39Get out
07:40I don't know how he got here
07:41If you were to be here though right now
07:43You'd basically be able to feel that there seems to be a ball joint
07:46So you'd be able to still be able to move the torso up and down
07:49It's kind of hard still to do
07:51But there seems to definitely be some sort of ball joint system inside the figure's body
07:55Or a crunch
07:56Allowing a little bit of a torso bend that way
07:58Down below of course he has sculpted legs
08:01I will say though one thing about Bert's feet
08:03Is not only are they small
08:05But being the way they've sculpted the way that they are
08:07Or I guess more so the way that they're hinged
08:09I have sometimes a harder time to get this guy to balance
08:12It could also be the fact he's so top heavy as well
08:14But yeah, you could also really make use of a display stand
08:18Even though really, yeah, the figures don't come included with them
08:20They are using technically universal ball joints
08:23Or ball holes on the bottoms of his feet
08:25So basically you just plug the peg into that
08:27And you could use a display stand from another figure company instead
08:29For the figure's articulation though for Bert
08:31The head's going to be on a ball joint
08:32I know, yeah, I don't have the head completely on there
08:34But the head does look up
08:35It looks down
08:36You can move it back and forth
08:37You can rotate it
08:38Providing, of course, you've got it properly attached to the peg
08:41The figure does seem to have still a crunch on the top of his torso
08:44And there's a little bit of movement there
08:46Of course, yeah, you could still rotate the figure's torso this way also as well
08:49The arms do rotate all the way around
08:51You can take Bert's arms
08:53Not quite pull off successfully a full T pose
08:56A little less than 90
08:57Again, the arms do have a single hinge
09:00The hinge is right there
09:01Unfortunately though, they had to break up the striping
09:03Just do a lot for the joint there
09:05I mean, there's really no way around that
09:07If they were to only just go in there and paint it
09:09You know the paint would only flake off anyways
09:11The hands do rotate all the way around
09:13Whether you want to use these hands or the other ones provided
09:15The legs do have ball joints
09:16So the legs can split out as far as this
09:18You can take the move forward
09:20You can move them back
09:21There's a nice generous swivel at the top of the thigh
09:23Single hinge only for the knee
09:25Lower leg rotation
09:26Ankle pivot up and down
09:28And you can maybe also notice as well
09:29That they smartly colored the joint a different color
09:32So it looks like Bert has himself some socks
09:34Ankle pivot back and forth
09:35Ankle rocker, I should say
09:36And the figure again, I already mentioned
09:38The figure does have pegels on the bottoms of his feet
09:40Nice looking figure
09:41Even though again, like
09:42I don't know if I would have paired Bert along with A
09:44When we all know that Bert starts with B
09:46Hey, congratulations everybody
09:47You know that Bert starts with B
09:48Coming included though with A
09:50I guess would be the good way to start the alphabet
09:52And starting looking at these figures from Sesame Street
09:54Bert, of course, comes included with all the accessories
09:56That I think the figure really should have had
09:58Of course, the most crucial things
10:00Is the fact he comes included with his paperclip collection
10:02And that he also has himself his rare bottle cap collection
10:05Figgy Fizz
10:06I don't know
10:07Is there a Figgy Fizz somewhere in there?
10:08Probably isn't
10:09But yeah, he's a nice looking figure
10:10Smart also too
10:11That they found a way to incorporate
10:13Swappable unibrows
10:15The fact that you could actually take off the eyebrow
10:17On one Bert's head
10:18And then swap it out then with the other
10:20I think that's pretty cool as well
10:21A big fan of Sesame Street
10:23I grew up with Sesame
10:24I think any kid in the 80s
10:26Sesame Street was a staple in their households
10:28And on the TV all the time
10:29Of course, now from what I've known
10:31From what I know
10:32Neck has already released an Ernie account
10:34And of course, we're looking at Bert in this review
10:36So there's two other figures that I'm still hoping to pick up
10:39I hope though that the line's going to continue
10:41I mean, there's quite a lot of characters
10:42That make up the streets of Sesame
10:44I certainly hope that the next is going to be diligent
10:46To release all those other characters
10:48At the very least
10:48I do hope that they do a Grover
10:50And hey, you never know
10:51They could maybe do like a convention exclusive Super Grover
10:54If that's the case
10:55I'm all in
10:56I got Bernice on the end of the finger of Bert
10:58Actually, no
11:00I cheated
11:00Look at this cheater over here
11:02I actually used just a little bit of an adhesive
11:03Just so that the bird could stay long enough on Bert's finger
11:06While the figure obviously is also looking at his boring stories
11:10And being included with a capital A
11:11I didn't realize you could spell Bert with A
11:13No, that joke's already gotten old
11:15In fact, there is no A at all in Bert
11:17If there was, his name would be Bart
11:19And that's not his name at all
11:20The figure looks fantastic though
11:22If you grew up watching Sesame Street
11:23Sesame Street is one of those
11:25As a series though
11:26It's carried over from decade to decade
11:28Being passed down to children
11:30Children's children
11:31Children's grandchildren
11:32Well, you get the idea
11:33Sesame Street has been around
11:35Longer than I've been alive
11:37So finally having ourselves figures
11:38Based at least from the time frame
11:40That I watched Sesame Street
11:41During the early 80s run
11:43Bert now looks fantastic
11:45I'm looking forward to putting this guy on the shelf
11:46And still wanting to get my hands
11:48On the Ernie and the Count
11:49As far as I know
11:50Those are the only figures
11:51That NEC has released so far
11:52From the Sesame Street line
11:53With hopefully many more to follow
11:55Of the accessories
11:56I know I mentioned this in the review
11:58I think the accessories for Bert
11:59Are suitable enough for the character
12:01That he does have his rare bottle cap collection
12:03His paper clip collection
12:04And again, a swappable head sculpt
12:06That has an interchangeable unibrow
12:08Could this maybe be the first time in history
12:10That NEC has released a figure
12:11With a reversible or interchangeable unibrow?
12:15I think it is
12:16What do you guys know, think of Bert?
12:17Let me know down below in the comments section
12:18Have you guys now started to collect
12:20The new Sesame Street line from NECA Toys?
12:22Including, of course, Ernie and the Count
12:24I don't think there's been any other announcements
12:26Or releases, for that matter
12:28Of any other Sesame Street characters
12:29But if you are a fan of Sesame Street
12:31What is your favorite character from the series?
12:35Let me know down below in the comments section
12:36Could it be maybe unibrow Bart or Bert?
12:38I now go on calling him Bart
12:39Could it maybe be Ernie?
12:41Could it be maybe the Count?
12:42Or could it be my personal favorite?
12:44Could it maybe be Grover?
12:46Definitely love Grover, though
12:47What is your favorite Sesame Street character?
12:49Let me know down below in the comments section
12:50If you guys certainly did enjoy this video
12:52Do it a solid, throw it a like
12:53You guys want to stick around for more so?
12:55I hope so!
12:56Thank you, thank you
12:57Certainly, though, while we are wrapping up things right now
13:00For Bert, there will be more NECA reviews
13:01Coming away for the rest of this week
13:03As always, thanks for watching
13:04See you guys next time
