00:00Yeah, here's your problem. Somebody set this thing to evil.
00:03Here's your look at the Mattel Master Universe Masterverse, the new Eternia's Roboto.
00:22Skeletor stole away with Man-at-Arm's latest creation, Roboto.
00:25Using his diabolical havoc magic, Skeletor reprograms the artificial intelligence
00:30to do his evil bidding.
00:31This mechanical warrior went from being nuts and bolts to just being nuts.
00:35Let's take the tape measure and see how tall the new Eternia Roboto stands.
00:38He's 7 inches in height, or working out to be a figure that's 18 centimeters tall.
00:44Good as a replacement Roboto, because up to this point,
00:46the only one I had in my collection of this size was the one from the Revelation line.
00:51For that time, he was fine for being a Roboto,
00:53but I think the new one that we're getting here, Crazy or Not,
00:56seems to be the better-looking release of him.
00:58Because of that, even though he's technically evil,
01:00I think I'm rather going to be displaying this guy along with more of the Masters
01:03than with Skeletor's cronies.
01:05Here's what the figure looks like with Cyclone,
01:07Mecha Neck, let's bring also in Fisto,
01:09let's bring in Man-at-Arms,
01:10because I guess he's technically responsible for all this,
01:13and an ugly-looking Thunder Punch He-Man.
01:15That He-Man sure does have a face for radio.
01:17Looking, though, at the four accessories,
01:19three of those accessories will swap out with the hands that he has on the ends of his forearms.
01:23The fourth accessory does actually then swap out with the faceplate
01:26that he currently has right now.
01:27It's not really looking all that good underneath.
01:30Before we actually check under the hood,
01:32let's check, though, those arm attachments.
01:33The first thing, and probably my favorite thing,
01:35is the figure does come in clear with a spinning blade attachment.
01:38Don't get that too close to your face, whatever you do.
01:41I do like that it spins.
01:42I do like that it's cast in silver.
01:44And it does seem, though,
01:45that the blade is a different color than the arm.
01:47Is that just me?
01:48Maybe it's just me.
01:49I'll just check my eyes here.
01:52Again, all you really have to do is pull the hands off from the ends of the arms,
01:56and then just swap them out with any ones of these.
01:58The figure does also come in clear with a really odd-looking thing.
02:01When you look at all the other things that he has for arm attachments,
02:04everything is technically this kind of silverish gray.
02:06This stands out sort of more like a sore thumb,
02:08or it looks almost more like a slime blaster from Ghostbusters 2.
02:12This, again, is black.
02:14It basically is just going to detach one of these
02:16and replace it with one of these.
02:18So, like, the figure already does have
02:20closed or gripping hands on the ends of his forearms.
02:22Maybe you don't like that look.
02:24Just go ahead and remove those.
02:25Before I actually do remove it, though,
02:26I want to say that the hand is, again,
02:28a different color than his forearm.
02:30Odd that they really chose not to have it the same color
02:32as this area of his arm,
02:33because then it would have kept things consistent.
02:35I guess maybe they want to make it more specific
02:38that his hands are a different color.
02:39I don't even know the logic behind the scenes at Mattel.
02:42Anyways, though, if you wanted to remove the hands,
02:44just wiggle it back and forth.
02:45You don't have to wiggle,
02:46but remove and wiggle the hands,
02:47and then replace it with the arm cannon.
02:50I don't know if it's an arm cannon.
02:52Maybe it pipes icing on cakes.
02:55I don't know.
02:55Maybe it sprays fertilizer all around the Eternian guards.
02:58I don't know.
03:00I don't know.
03:00It's just, again,
03:01it's one of the strangest things.
03:02If I was really to display the figure with anything,
03:04I'd probably choose instead to go with the claw,
03:07or I would go with the spinning blades of death.
03:11Unpeg this.
03:11And by the way,
03:12all of them unpeg fairly easy.
03:14Although looking at this with a hole on the end like this,
03:17I would have imagined that they would have included
03:18like a blast effect or a firing effect
03:20that would have plugged into there.
03:21Because it almost does look like
03:22something should belong on the end of it.
03:24Blast?
03:26Maybe that's about it.
03:28Yeah.
03:28The only other thing that he also has,
03:30probably, again,
03:31my favorite things would be the blade of death,
03:33but it also does come include with a claw.
03:34The claw does open and close.
03:35The claw?
03:36The craw.
03:37Is that from Get Smart the movie?
03:39I'm the craw.
03:40The claw?
03:40No.
03:41The craw.
03:43I'm working only with memory,
03:45so that might not be 100% correct.
03:47He does have, like, again,
03:48an open and close claw.
03:49I do actually like the fact
03:51that it does open and close.
03:52And again,
03:53if you want to double up the duty,
03:54just remove the hand that he has on this side,
03:56replace it with the blade on this side here.
03:59Again,
03:59you don't have to choose
04:00to go with the same configuration I'm going.
04:02You want to have it the opposite way?
04:04Do it the opposite way.
04:05And if somebody tells you otherwise,
04:07you just say no.
04:08The guy that was on YouTube,
04:09the very smart-sounding guy
04:11that's always,
04:12I always watch his reviews,
04:13he told me I can have the blade
04:14attached on either side.
04:15Who's this guy you're talking about?
04:17I don't know,
04:17some review spot guy.
04:18Anyways, though,
04:19with the blade on one side,
04:20his claw on the other,
04:21this guy's ready to be dealing out business.
04:23Unfortunately, though,
04:24the business that he's dealing out
04:25isn't going to be for the good guys.
04:27This Roboto is all evil.
04:29Now,
04:29one thing that's kind of cool,
04:30though,
04:31about Roboto is he does have
04:32two swappable faceplates.
04:33The way that he looks right now
04:35looks somewhat harmless.
04:37Like,
04:37this is Robocop
04:38that hasn't been tankered,
04:40tankered with,
04:41so he doesn't seem to be crazy just yet.
04:43The thing about it,
04:43though,
04:44is if you do actually look under the hood,
04:46Roboto's hiding
04:47a horrible,
04:48horrible secret,
04:49which I guess probably
04:49isn't the easiest thing to do
04:50when the hood is actually on,
04:52when this mouthpiece is on.
04:53But when I remove it,
04:55you'll see there's
04:56quite horrific sights underneath.
04:58Before we actually do that,
05:00Roboto still does have
05:01the clear torso piece.
05:03In this case,
05:04though,
05:04it doesn't rotate
05:05where when you turn it back and forth,
05:07it's not going to do anything
05:08at all to these gears.
05:09The way to move the gears,
05:11though,
05:11if you look in the back of the figure,
05:12he does actually have a spinning disc.
05:14Now,
05:14when you spin the disc,
05:15as you can see,
05:16it rotates all four,
05:17I was going to say all three,
05:18all four gears,
05:20and it does a nice job of doing that.
05:21I think,
05:21actually,
05:22when we looked at the other Roboto,
05:23this other Roboto,
05:25I don't think did anything,
05:26did it?
05:27I don't think he did.
05:28I don't think anything on him
05:29actually did rotate.
05:30Somebody's going to tell me down below.
05:31No,
05:31no,
05:31he does.
05:31He does.
05:32No,
05:32no,
05:32I don't see that he does.
05:35Yeah,
05:35so I do actually like the fact
05:36he does have a working gimmick.
05:37The gimmick also isn't tied into his waist,
05:39so he can still very freely
05:40move his waist around.
05:41Let's see the sights.
05:42Show us the horror.
05:44Okay,
05:45so here's Roboto's head sculpt.
05:47You may be able to make out
05:48that it almost looks like
05:49he's got a brain underneath that.
05:51That's really,
05:51really cool,
05:52though.
05:53Now,
05:53if you don't like this look to Roboto,
05:55he does also have this mouth guard
05:57that does have an open side.
05:58Actually,
05:59both sides are open,
06:00and that's to,
06:01again,
06:01reveal the horror.
06:02If you go ahead
06:03and take the mouth guard off,
06:04I'm going to say faceplate,
06:05but if you take the mouth guard off,
06:06you basically just attach it on one side.
06:08There's one hole there.
06:10Detach it on the other side.
06:11Always wait until the last minute.
06:12Look at this guy.
06:12Wait until the last minute.
06:13Pop that off.
06:15Look at what we're looking at underneath.
06:16It kind of either looks like
06:20like a Terminator,
06:23like an endoskeleton,
06:24or a Daft Punk.
06:25Why do I feel like I've seen this
06:26on an album cover somewhere?
06:28I mean,
06:29you could really ideally
06:30leave it off altogether
06:30if you want to
06:31and just have them display that way,
06:33but if you choose instead
06:34to have this alternate mouthpiece,
06:36again,
06:36it's going to tab right here
06:37and it's going to connect right here,
06:40so we'll do that.
06:40We'll just put it on one side,
06:41do it on the other,
06:42and now you still get
06:44like a mouth guard for him,
06:46but now you can see
06:46like his kind of robotic teeth
06:48on either side.
06:50How should you like this mouthpiece?
06:51I think it's a little cooler
06:53than the other one.
06:53It's also a different color as well,
06:55so there's some variety
06:56with what you can display this guy with.
06:58For the rest of his body, though,
06:59I know we've kind of already
07:00looked at the fact
07:01he's got the clear torso here.
07:02He's got some really nice
07:03metallic use of blue here,
07:05some metallic silver on his forearms.
07:06All the colors you expect
07:08Roboto to have,
07:08even the outlandish purple
07:10that he has on his trunks
07:11has that as well,
07:12of course,
07:13he's got red pants down below.
07:14I would even say red pants,
07:15more red legs,
07:17and he's got the knee guards there too.
07:18Very, in fact,
07:19similar to the kind of Roboto
07:20that we had in before,
07:21but, you know, again,
07:22the more that I like
07:23the look of this Roboto,
07:24the more I feel like
07:25I'm going to end up
07:25retiring the one
07:26from the revelation.
07:27Was it the revelation?
07:28I think it was the revelation.
07:29For the figure's articulation,
07:30Roboto does move his head
07:32all the way around.
07:33The head looks up
07:34and looks down
07:35and moves back and forth,
07:36although moving it back and forth
07:38can seem to be
07:39a little bit more difficult
07:40moving it up and down,
07:41no issues whatsoever.
07:42You rotate, of course,
07:43the torso all the way around.
07:45You can take the arms
07:46and rotate them
07:46all the way around.
07:48The figure does also pull
07:49a 90 degree angle bend
07:50in his shoulders
07:51or a T pose if you prefer.
07:53The figure does also have
07:54swivels in his biceps
07:55and nice detailing,
07:57though, for his biceps.
07:58You know,
07:58I don't want to jump right
07:59to really talking about
08:00the articulation on the figure
08:01and spend so little time
08:02talking about how well
08:03they've sculpted
08:04the figure's arms
08:05and his leg down below as well,
08:06but I think his arms
08:07are some of my favorite things
08:08that are sculpted on the figure.
08:09Okay, back to the articulation.
08:11The figure does have
08:12a double hinge on the elbow.
08:14The arms technically do rotate,
08:16not here necessarily,
08:17but where obviously
08:18the hand would have
08:18originally been.
08:19Anything that you add
08:20after the fact
08:21would also rotate there as well.
08:23Simple logic.
08:24Legs do split out.
08:25They're on ball joints,
08:26after all.
08:27You can take the legs
08:27and move forward.
08:28You can move them back.
08:29Roboto also has one
08:30of those things as well
08:31where you can drop
08:31the legs down.
08:33This just gives him
08:33some extra reach.
08:35If you don't like
08:36that gappage
08:36that starts to develop
08:37on the tops of his thighs,
08:38you just push the thigh back up.
08:40That's all that's really required.
08:42The figure does also have
08:43a swivel three quarters
08:44of the way up the thigh.
08:45What?
08:46Does rotate there.
08:47The figure does also have
08:48a double hinge on the knee.
08:50Nice and tight,
08:51by the way,
08:51on all these joints.
08:52Ankle pivot,
08:53ankle rocker,
08:55and yeah,
08:55foot peg holes
08:58on the undersides of his feet.
08:59Boy, I was having a hard time
09:00getting that all out.
09:01Evil or not,
09:02whether he's packaged that way,
09:04I think ultimately
09:04I'm still going to display
09:05Roboto on my shelf
09:06as one of the masters.
09:08He's always really been
09:08a master in my mind,
09:10and even though,
09:11again,
09:11I'm probably going to be
09:12replacing and finally
09:13retiring this guy,
09:14this Roboto,
09:15loose legs and all,
09:17has really been my staple
09:18robot for a while
09:20when it comes to displaying
09:21the six to seven inch scale
09:22Master Universe figures.
09:24I feel like now
09:24it's probably a perfect time
09:25to retire the one from,
09:26what was it again,
09:27Revelation?
09:28Who really cares?
09:29Revolutions?
09:29I think it was Revelation.
09:31Still going to now
09:32replace him though
09:32with the Master Universe
09:33new Eternia Roboto.
09:34Evil or not,
09:35I think he's definitely
09:36a vast superior looking Roboto.
09:38You can choose really
09:38to have this guy
09:39display on the shelf
09:40with the likes of Skeletor.
09:41I though prefer,
09:42Package tells me,
09:43Package can tell me one thing,
09:45I'm still in the end
09:46going to display this guy
09:47as a good guy
09:47because Roboto's
09:48always been that way
09:49ever since I was a kid.
09:50Never judge a robot
09:51by its packaging
09:52because if you were
09:53to go by the packaging
09:54you'd know that Roboto
09:55is all evil,
09:56but I'd like to think
09:56they're still good at hearts,
09:58whatever robotic heart
09:59he actually has.
10:00Now even though
10:01he's not an exclusive
10:02to their site,
10:02what I ended up ordering
10:03this guy from
10:04was Mattel Creations.
10:05Not just because
10:06he was probably
10:06one of the only places
10:07that seemed to be
10:08stocking Roboto right now,
10:10but for the price
10:10of what they were
10:11selling him for,
10:1122 bucks.
10:12Now I know again,
10:14me saying 22,
10:15that's 22 US dollars.
10:17I'd probably be well
10:17and more expected
10:18to pay about $35
10:19for this guy
10:20and then all the fun
10:20shipping that goes
10:21on top of that.
10:22But being that
10:23I had already ordered
10:24Voltec Hero from before
10:26and I also ordered
10:27a couple of other figures
10:28from Mattel Creations,
10:28it just made the most sense.
10:29I was already there anyways.
10:30It's a one-stop shop.
10:32I ordered Roboto
10:32at the exact same time.
10:34Now if you guys
10:35are interested
10:36to order this one,
10:36not that this is a plug
10:37at all the Mattel Creations,
10:39but right now
10:40he is still available
10:41in stock,
10:42although they do
10:42put in red,
10:43only a few left
10:44at fast
10:45and they felt the need
10:46to add exclamation marks
10:47after left
10:48and after fast.
10:50Not that I want to say
10:51that you have to get
10:52there right away,
10:53but at the time
10:53that I finally get around
10:54to posting this review,
10:56he might already
10:56be sold out.
10:57If you guys probably
10:58have had better luck
10:59maybe finding this guy
11:00out in the wild,
11:01I have had zero luck
11:03finding anything Masters
11:04in Canadian stores.
11:06So for me,
11:06again,
11:07Mattel Creations
11:07seemed to be the best bet
11:08for right now.
11:09Roboto is going to be
11:10eventually going to be
11:11replacing the Roboto
11:12I've had for so long
11:14on my shelf.
11:14I'm probably going to
11:15end up giving it,
11:16I think,
11:16to my friend's kid
11:17who's now just started
11:18to find that he's loving
11:19Master Universe figures.
11:20Why didn't you give him
11:21the new one?
11:22No, no, no.
11:23No, no, no.
11:23Let's not act hastily on this.
11:26I'm going to, in fact,
11:27probably give him
11:28the revelation of Roboto.
11:29He's still a fine figure.
11:30He's a little loose
11:30in the legs,
11:31but for a while,
11:32like, he was my go-to.
11:33That go-to now
11:34has been replaced,
11:35funny though enough,
11:36by an eviler Roboto.
11:38Eviler?
11:38Is that a word?
11:39It's going to be a word,
11:40at least in this review.
11:41What do you guys
11:41think of Roboto?
11:42Let me know down below
11:43in the comments section.
11:44Even though he has
11:44a skeletal face,
11:45if you pick this one
11:46up for yourself,
11:47would you display him
11:48along with Skeletor,
11:49or would you team him
11:50up with the rest of
11:51He-Man and his Merry Men?
11:53If you guys did enjoy
11:53this video,
11:54you can do it as well
11:54and throw it a like.
11:55You guys want to stick around
11:56for more so?
11:57I hope so.
11:58Hit that subscribe,
11:59turn on that bell,
12:00and of course come back.
12:01Even though we kind of
12:02are wrapping up things
12:03right now for a robotic
12:04mechanical warrior,
12:05we are going to actually
12:06kind of be looking
12:07at some more Master stuff,
12:08it seems,
12:08throughout this entire week.
