00:00The war's not over until the last man comes home.
00:04Here's your look at brand new Caustic Plastic Missing in Action
00:07Colonel James Braddock exclusive 1-6 scale action figure.
00:30Prepare to step into the action packed world of Colonel James Braddock
00:40with our exceptional 1-6 scale action figure featuring the iconic Chuck Norris
00:44in his unforgivable role from the blockbuster film Missing in Action.
00:47Standing an impressive 12 inches tall, this action figure is a true masterpiece
00:51capturing every detail of Norris' legendary portrayal.
00:54Our action figure showcases an astonishingly accurate likeness of Chuck Norris
00:58as Colonel James Braddock from his rugged demeanor to his determined expression.
01:02Every aspect has been meticulously crafted.
01:05With over 28 points of articulation, Colonel Braddock has a super articulated body.
01:09His iconic outfit has been faithfully recreated
01:12and includes a comprehensive array of authentic accessories.
01:15The Colonel James Braddock is not just an action figure,
01:18he's a tribute to one of cinema's most iconic characters, Chuck Norris.
01:22I know Braddock's been looking for Jack Tucker,
01:25but if you're looking to get your hands on Colonel James Braddock from the Missing in Action films,
01:29he is right now as a pre-order over on Caustic Plastic's site.
01:33The deluxe version that was provided for at least this review
01:36is going to be selling for £340,
01:39but again I'll provide the links down below in the video description
01:41if you guys are interested to get on the pre-order while he's available.
01:44I'd like to thank the folks over at Caustic Plastic that did yes,
01:47provide the sample of the Colonel James Braddock that we could have a look at this review.
01:50The figure is slated to drop this month, actually in fact, so March 2025.
01:54Taking of course the tape measure and let's see how tall James stands.
01:57If I'm looking at this correctly, you're looking at Braddock being about 11 3 quarters of an inch in height.
02:03Translating though to a figure that's about 29 and a half centimetres tall.
02:07Collected all up to come and play with the Colonel,
02:09the figure first of all includes an index standee card.
02:12Although it really can't stand on its own,
02:14it would be nice if they included like a little standee base
02:16just to have this mounted along with the figure,
02:18but I guess you could really just prop it up next to the figure
02:20if you want to have it on the shelf that way.
02:22It does feature the illustrations of Giada Giusti,
02:25one of the talented artists behind the scenes that made James Braddock a reality here.
02:29It does also have Missing in Action at the top corner.
02:31Truth will be told, I actually watched Missing in Action out of order.
02:34I watched the first film later on in life.
02:36My first introduction to Missing in Action was Missing in Action Part 2,
02:39which in a grade one birthday party,
02:41you would think that the parents would have been a little bit more smarter,
02:44maybe not introducing them to an action packed film starring Chuck Norris,
02:48but that was sort of my first introduction to Chuck Norris
02:50and I sort of watched all his other films after the fact.
02:52On the back though of the card,
02:54we have ourselves of course a little read up here from the Caustic Plastic team.
02:57We are delighted to introduce a truly extraordinary production
03:00that encapsulates our commitment to quality and craftsmanship.
03:03Between the months of January 2023 and October 2024,
03:06we embarked on a journey to create a limited quantity
03:09of a thousand meticulously crafted pieces
03:11that exemplify our dedication to excellence.
03:14We extend our deepest gratitude to our customers
03:17who have continuously supported and believed in our vision.
03:20Your trust drives us to constantly push boundaries
03:23and create products that go beyond expectations.
03:25Thank you for being an integral part of our journey.
03:28Of course, the cast and crew responsible of this as well,
03:31the art direction, Fabio Verrassi,
03:32the same as well for production manager,
03:34sculpt 3D was Daniel Danko-Angelozzi,
03:37sculpt 3D, Enigo Gill,
03:39sculpt 3D, Sean Dabbs,
03:41master paint, Dario Barbera.
03:43Outfit was done by the KB team
03:45and the artwork featured,
03:46I believe on the front of the card,
03:47this is her illustration artwork,
03:49is Giada Giusti.
03:50Produced by Caustic Plastic Lab in China,
03:52total production run limited to only a thousand copies.
03:55You know, again,
03:56outside of maybe just having a little standee,
03:58I'm sure I probably could find something myself.
04:00I definitely would like to have this displayed along with Braddock.
04:03Let's though, in the meantime,
04:04move that off to the side.
04:05One thing that's also been apparent
04:06sort of with all of the Caustic Plastic figures
04:08that we've looked at lately here on this channel,
04:10Tashiro was probably one of the most recent ones we've looked at.
04:13They seem to all sort of follow the same format
04:15of having a circular display stand.
04:17While the stand doesn't change all that much,
04:19although what may have changed
04:20is also on the bottom of this,
04:21it does say action deluxe figurines.
04:24They also have some rubberized feet
04:25there on the bottom of this as well.
04:26They seem to follow though,
04:27the trend of having a circular display stand
04:29with a placard on the front.
04:32I don't wanna spend a whole lot of time
04:33obviously talking about the display stand,
04:35but you know, other companies would have just only,
04:36just relied on printing the name of the movie on the front.
04:39A lot of cases too,
04:40you'll have much shorter display stands too,
04:42but I really like that they do this.
04:44The missing in action featured a very broad, bold font.
04:47You can see it was all done here in a really nice gold
04:49with some background colors of some darker browns.
04:53I like this.
04:54Now, one thing to be honest though,
04:56I'm not as crazy about
04:57is the printing that they've used for the top.
04:59Now I would imagine that they probably would have taken
05:01some sort of grassy terrain
05:02that Braddock is standing on top of at the moment.
05:04There's some leaves there also as well.
05:06The thing about it though is without,
05:08I think it would have honestly just been easier
05:10if they just took a screenshot of like outside terrain,
05:13something with grass, something with leaves,
05:15and just use that as the image.
05:17With doing it like this,
05:18it sort of comes across a little faded,
05:20like the sun has had exposure to it.
05:23It's the only thing I really don't care about all that much.
05:25I mean, you'll see when we get into the actual figure
05:27and all its accessories,
05:28there's so much more better things to talk about,
05:30more positive things I can certainly say about this.
05:32If anything could be said of a negative,
05:34I would just say,
05:35I don't really like the image at all for the display stand.
05:38But again, there's so many other things
05:40that we're going to be talking about
05:41in a more positive sense.
05:42One thing that's positive though, at least,
05:44is embedded in this,
05:45there's actually a built-in magnet.
05:46So instead of relying on obviously
05:48the neck adjustment clips that fit very awkwardly
05:50always around figure's waist,
05:52instead what they decided to do
05:53is they attach it by magnets.
05:55The magnets sit pretty securely as well.
05:57You can see like I'm not even holding
05:58the display stand at all.
05:59And Braddock is very posed, very poised.
06:02And obviously he's not going to be going anywhere on the shelf.
06:04The trade-off unfortunately though,
06:05is when you put in a guy like this on the shelf,
06:07being that the display stand is a higher lift
06:10than regular six scale stands.
06:12Obviously the stuff that we're getting from Caustic Plastic
06:14may make then for a much taller figure on the shelf,
06:16but I certainly think it's well worth it.
06:18Something that's also really well worth it too
06:20is to come included with this as well.
06:22You get yourself barbed wire.
06:23I would say it's real,
06:25at least in the sense that first of all,
06:26it's metal and there's actually the individual barbs.
06:28I mean, you can certainly feel it
06:29when you put your finger across it.
06:31Yeah, they're prickly.
06:32The thing that's cool though about this is it's wire.
06:35It's all just a metal wire.
06:36So you can bend and manipulate this.
06:38I haven't honestly done much manipulation of it just yet.
06:41When this eventually goes on display,
06:43I'm going to wrap it around.
06:44You can actually see when you go to Caustic Plastic's
06:47listing of Braddock,
06:48that what they end up doing though
06:49is they just take the barbed wire
06:50and they kind of wrap it,
06:51interweave it around the front font of the display stand.
06:54You can also do that as well.
06:55I think that's a really neat touch.
06:56The fact that it would take the time and include that.
06:59As for Jane's remaining accessories,
07:01when you say remaining,
07:02it sort of implies the idea
07:03that there's a whole lot less than to look at,
07:05when instead it actually is a whole lot more.
07:07The figure, first of all,
07:08has eight interchangeable hands.
07:10Now, I've already removed actually the hands
07:12that he had in the packaging
07:13in favor of holding then his gun.
07:15If though, if you took him out of the packaging,
07:17honestly, you would be greeted first
07:19by the figure having closed fists.
07:21Obviously, closed fists are fine,
07:23but with so many cool accessories,
07:25these came out on the ends of his forms right away.
07:28I'm going to put them off to the side.
07:29The figure does also come included
07:30a pair of relaxed hands.
07:33Which again, like, you know,
07:34if you want to have the figure displayed with those,
07:35those are fine and good.
07:36But you'll see,
07:37as we kind of get the lay of the land going here,
07:39there's so many other good things
07:40that come included with the figure.
07:41Why would you want to display him with closed fists?
07:43Why, for that matter,
07:44would you want to display him with relaxed hands?
07:46What you could consider though, instead,
07:48is maybe having the figure carrying around
07:49closed gripping hands like this.
07:51Good for carrying around like the knives,
07:53good for holding like the torch,
07:54good for holding like the wire cutters.
07:56He comes with those as well.
07:57You can see that in all the cases,
07:59all the hands are gloved.
08:01Again, you just easily swap them out
08:02and change with the hands that he has.
08:04What I've already then done
08:05is I've taken the liberty of changing out
08:07for a trigger firing hand
08:09and then an understock gun holding hand,
08:11which is a little bit more of a closed grip.
08:13In fact, actually, if you look at these hands,
08:15you'll see that they are a little bit different.
08:17So here's a regular relaxed hand, for example.
08:19Here's one that has more of a C clamp hand.
08:21Good for holding, again,
08:22the undercarriage of the guns.
08:25I'm going to stand here for a second.
08:27Really, again, like, where do we want to start?
08:29Okay, so the figure does,
08:30I kind of already said wire cutter.
08:32So we can have a look at that, first of all.
08:34All of these, for the most part, are functioning.
08:36Well, the guns also, obviously,
08:38can be functioning,
08:39but all of them have practical functioning parts,
08:41all moving parts.
08:42So like the wire cutter, for example,
08:44does actually open and close.
08:45This is only, though,
08:46exclusive to the DLX and EXL versions.
08:49And actually, some of these,
08:50maybe what we'll do is we'll kind of look at
08:51the DLX and the ELX release accessories
08:54before we cover off the rest of them.
08:56So these do, of course, open and close.
08:58We already looked at hands
08:59that establish the idea
09:00that he could be able to hold these.
09:02He does also have a pack,
09:03but the pack is basically already packed with stuffing.
09:05He really wouldn't be able
09:06to put the accessories into that, for example.
09:08The figure does also come included
09:09with a couple of grenades.
09:11The grenades themselves, large casings here,
09:13are nicely done here in gold.
09:15They almost sort of feel like
09:16they've got a metal touch to them,
09:17and they're also cool to the touch.
09:19I wonder if they've actually made these
09:20of metal instead of plastic.
09:23Speaking of plastic,
09:24I have a plastic explosives.
09:26I guess I'm probably also doing these
09:27a little out of order here as well.
09:28The TNTs, by the way,
09:29are also exclusive as well
09:31to DLX and ELX releases.
09:33You can see as well
09:34they've got the wires embedded in there as well.
09:36They look like they've been made of clay.
09:38Really nice little accessories.
09:39I mean, everything that you pretty much
09:41have seen in the films,
09:42they have then duplicated them up
09:44with smaller accessories
09:45for this version of Norris.
09:47You also get as well...
09:49What else can we have?
09:50The torch.
09:51That's another thing
09:52that we can also look here as well.
09:53The military torch light
09:54is also, again,
09:55exclusive to those releases of him.
09:57It does almost kind of look like
09:58it's illuminated,
09:59but what they've done instead,
10:00it looks like they've added
10:01a little bit of a metallic sheen
10:02on the end of it.
10:05Again, it doesn't really look like
10:06there's a spot to store these on the figure.
10:08I mean, I guess you could probably
10:09maybe put them into the side of his...
10:11like his harnesses, for example.
10:13But again, he comes included
10:14with a torch or flashlight,
10:15so that's pretty cool as well.
10:16How about a pair of binoculars?
10:19Kind of rinsing and repeating
10:20the same descriptions,
10:21but again, like DLX and ELX versions only.
10:24So basically,
10:25everything that we've then looked at
10:26are all exclusive
10:27to this version of the figure.
10:28And don't worry,
10:29I'll put all the links down below
10:30in the video description
10:31to kind of show you guys
10:32links to take you
10:33directly to the listings
10:34of what would be
10:35the regular versions
10:36the DLX and ELX releases.
10:38Nice looking binoculars, though.
10:39Nice looking binoculars.
10:41Again, they've got
10:42a little bit of a discoloration
10:44on the ends of them,
10:45so they don't quite look like
10:46they're the exact same color
10:47that they've used
10:48or cast the plastic in.
10:49Got the military green
10:50on either side there as well.
10:52You can't obviously look
10:53straight through that.
10:54That would be a...
10:55That would be amazing
10:56if you could,
10:57but nice little binoculars.
10:58There's no strap
10:59or anything like that,
11:00so he would have to hold
11:01this in his hand.
11:02He'd actually ideally
11:03be able to hold it
11:04in this hand, too.
11:05The C-clamp hand
11:06would be a better suited hand,
11:07a much wider gripping hand
11:08for holding things
11:09like the binoculars.
11:10What else can we look at?
11:11Maybe not as interesting,
11:12but we'll certainly
11:13include these as well.
11:14The figure does have
11:15some swappable pegs.
11:16Always really a good idea
11:17that if pegs happen to break,
11:18it happens to hold
11:19the best of us.
11:20If the pegs break
11:21or you happen to lose one,
11:22you've got yourself
11:23at least four extra spares
11:24to work with.
11:25You also, as well,
11:26get yourself...
11:27Well, we've looked at those.
11:28We've looked at those.
11:29What else can we cover off here?
11:30Well, the figure does also have...
11:31What's another good thing
11:32that we can...
11:33I don't want to...
11:34I kind of want to keep
11:35the guns for the end.
11:36Maybe what we'll also
11:37look at, too,
11:38is the figure does have
11:39an M7 bayonet.
11:40It's actually
11:41one of two knives.
11:42The other knife
11:43is actually holstered
11:44right now on his belt
11:45or on his harness here,
11:46which can be unsheathed
11:47if you want.
11:48Now, with this knife,
11:49the way that they've
11:50designed it,
11:51nicely painting this
11:52in silver
11:53Of course,
11:54the handle itself
11:55is done in black.
11:56If you look at the side
11:57of his leg, for example,
11:58there is a holster
11:59where you can take,
12:00then, the knife
12:01and sheath it on the side.
12:02So at least those
12:03have places to store.
12:04And I guess, really,
12:05while we're also
12:06holding the figure as well,
12:07this piece actually
12:08does open up
12:09and you can slide out,
12:10as well, his secondary knife.
12:11The knife...
12:12Actually, the two knives,
12:13just to put the figure
12:14down here for a second,
12:15are different from one another.
12:16I think, actually,
12:17this...
12:18Is this maybe
12:19the M7 bayonet?
12:20And this is basically
12:21just a smaller knife.
12:22But he does come
12:23included with both of those.
12:24And, again,
12:25they have dedicated spaces
12:26to be stored
12:27on both the figures.
12:28So, again,
12:29we'll just kind of
12:30put this back in place
12:31so I know everything
12:32is leased in place.
12:33And we'll just sheath that
12:34on the side of his leg.
12:35One thing you...
12:36Actually,
12:37it's kind of interesting
12:38when I opened up
12:39the packaging
12:40and I then took out
12:41the display stand,
12:42the knife and the pegs
12:43were actually
12:44at the bottom of the tray.
12:45If you get this figure
12:46for yourself,
12:47and I certainly recommend
12:48that you do,
12:49when you are taking
12:50the display stand out,
12:51that the knife
12:52might actually be
12:53in the same spot.
12:54So you want to
12:55just make sure
12:56that you kind of
12:57look at everything first
12:58and don't just rush
12:59to take everything out
13:00just in case
13:01the knife gets lost.
13:02Certainly,
13:03what would potentially
13:04be lost is the figure
13:05does also come included
13:06with his watch.
13:07Now, the watch itself
13:08does actually have...
13:09I want to make sure
13:10I've got it facing
13:11the right way here
13:12in accurate time.
13:13I haven't yet chosen
13:14to put this on
13:15the figure's hand.
13:16I mean, obviously,
13:17it would just be a case
13:18of popping off
13:19the hand from the forearm
13:20and kind of get everything
13:21prepped before we jump
13:22to the turntable.
13:23But you just want
13:24to be careful.
13:25Unfortunately, though,
13:26the way that they
13:27pack the watch
13:28is they put it
13:29inside of a bag.
13:30Not that that's a bad thing,
13:31but I wish that the bag
13:32was resealable.
13:33So if you did want
13:34to put it back in the bag
13:35and then reseal it,
13:36I'm sure I probably
13:37could find myself
13:38a small enough
13:39Ziploc bag,
13:40put that in there,
13:41zip it off in case
13:42I don't have the figure
13:43displayed with it.
13:44Again, though,
13:45it's just like
13:46I kind of wish that
13:47instead of having to
13:48damage the bag
13:49with a zip tie at the top.
13:50That's all.
13:51So we're going to be
13:52putting that on the figure
13:53a little bit later as well.
13:54He does also have,
13:55I've mentioned this
13:56probably already
13:57a couple of times,
13:58he comes with this pack.
13:59Now, the pack,
14:00while it may look like
14:01you'd be able to
14:02store stuff inside,
14:03what may be involved
14:04on your part, though,
14:05is say if you want
14:06to store the torch,
14:07you want to store
14:08the binoculars,
14:09the TNT,
14:10all that stuff,
14:11you would have to,
14:12first of all,
14:13unstrap this,
14:14and inside,
14:15you can actually see
14:16there's a rectangular
14:17piece of foam.
14:18So, again,
14:19you probably could easily
14:20take the foam out
14:21if you want.
14:22It would just make
14:23this a little bit more relaxed,
14:24and then, of course,
14:25you'd be able to store
14:26all the accessories into that.
14:27So there's technically storage
14:28where you could put
14:29all the extra things
14:30with Norris,
14:31you could just put them
14:32in the bag instead.
14:33What else does he have?
14:34I guess we can kind of
14:35now move into
14:36the gun territory.
14:37You know,
14:38this is kind of where
14:39things get a little cool.
14:40The figure, first of all,
14:41does have a hand grenade,
14:42an MK.
14:43Now, first of all,
14:44it comes inside
14:45of a holder here,
14:46which, again,
14:47can be held basically
14:48on the back of his body.
14:49If you were to open this up,
14:50though,
14:51what you would find inside
14:52is the MK2 hand grenade,
14:53and just carefully
14:54slide this out.
14:55This does, I believe,
14:57also open up.
14:58There we go.
14:59And then you can take yourself
15:00then the grenades
15:01we've already had a look at,
15:02and then they basically
15:03just sit inside the chamber.
15:04It seems, though,
15:05like you can take
15:06both of those grenades,
15:07and, yeah,
15:08they both fit in place.
15:09And at least the way
15:10they've designed this,
15:11just make sure
15:12to carefully snap this in place,
15:13the way they've designed this
15:16is that at least
15:17the grenades aren't
15:18going to come out.
15:19They're still rooted in there,
15:20and also you've got yourself
15:21a little sight scope
15:22here as well
15:23that can also drop up.
15:24The thing about it, though,
15:25you want to be careful
15:26is when you snap it
15:27back in place,
15:28snapping's not really
15:29the best word you really
15:30want to be using,
15:31but I find, like,
15:32the first couple of times
15:33I did this,
15:34it was pretty stable,
15:35and this stayed in place.
15:36But since then, though,
15:37it seems like these...
15:38It could also just be
15:39the fact that now
15:40I've added the extra weight
15:41of having the grenades
15:42sitting inside
15:43with then the second grenade.
15:44There it is,
15:45inside there as well.
15:46Maybe that's adding
15:47the extra weight?
15:48Yeah.
15:49It seems to clip
15:50a little bit better.
15:51Maybe, again,
15:52we just want to slide it up
15:53a little bit.
15:55Do I have it?
15:56Not quite, not quite.
15:57But, yeah,
15:58this is the one other thing
15:59that I've noticed with this
16:00is that the hand grenade
16:01just doesn't stay
16:02as well in place.
16:03It seems to come off...
16:04It comes open
16:05very, very easily.
16:06But, again, for me,
16:07I'm only going to end up
16:08displaying this
16:09inside the bag anyways,
16:10which, again,
16:11you want to just make sure
16:12that the sight,
16:13the scope,
16:14doesn't slide up
16:15in the process.
16:16Because, again,
16:17if you're pushing it down
16:18in the bag,
16:19you don't want that
16:20to get clipped.
16:21The figure does also
16:22come included
16:23with the...
16:24I guess we'll look
16:25at this one next.
16:26We'll leave the big gun
16:27for the last.
16:28The figure does also have
16:29the M60 machine gun.
16:30Look at the mass firepower
16:31of this.
16:32It does also have
16:33a removable clip
16:34and you have yourself
16:35a couple of variations
16:36of clip.
16:37So you get two of these
16:38which are,
16:39I would almost even say,
16:40somewhat identical
16:41to one another,
16:42about the same length.
16:43And then you've got
16:44a longer one also as well.
16:45And all of these,
16:46as well,
16:47can fit on the undercarriage
16:48and snap in place.
16:49Of course,
16:50this one does also
16:51have the strap as well
16:52so you can also just
16:53strap that on the side
16:54of his body as well
16:55if you want.
16:56The gun looks nice though.
16:57The gun looks really nice.
16:58I would imagine
16:59it probably would have
17:00started in this black plastic
17:01and then they would have
17:02then dry brushed
17:03the silver over top of that.
17:05It's a really nice looking gun.
17:07But I think, by far,
17:08my favorite gun
17:09that comes included
17:10here has to be
17:11this one right here.
17:12This is the M16A2 rifle.
17:14Now with this one,
17:15this one is again
17:16only exclusive
17:17for the DLX
17:18and the ELX releases.
17:21This also does come included
17:22with an ammo belt as well.
17:23And with the ammo belt,
17:24what you do is
17:25you lift this piece
17:26up right here.
17:27And if you look to the side,
17:28actually,
17:29just before I put it in,
17:30I want to show you
17:31that it seems like
17:32all the individual bullets
17:33are all made of metal.
17:34So, so, so cool.
17:36Obviously,
17:37when it comes to putting this in,
17:38so you're going to lift
17:39this up already.
17:40This just slides in place.
17:41And then this comes down
17:42and sort of snaps in place.
17:46Now with this
17:47and obviously the hand grenade,
17:48I wanted to really be careful.
17:50Yes, if you probably put
17:51a little bit more pressure
17:52to this, this would...
17:53I mean, this one snaps better
17:54than the hand grenade.
17:55I think, honestly, though,
17:56if I put more pressure to it,
17:57I probably would be able
17:58to get the MK2
18:00to actually snap
18:01right better in place.
18:02For me, I just,
18:03I didn't want to take the risks
18:04of pushing too far
18:05and actually something
18:06breaks on it.
18:07Saying that, though,
18:08I mean, this one actually
18:09does securely hold it
18:10a little bit better.
18:12These also swing down as well.
18:15And if you look
18:16to the back of this,
18:17it does also have the lever
18:18that swings back too.
18:20Now again, I'm not going
18:21to push too far back,
18:22but at least you get the idea.
18:25Generally, though,
18:26when I think of Braddock,
18:27I usually tend to think
18:28I'm carrying around this as well.
18:29So again, like, you know,
18:30there's a lot of firepower
18:31to wield with this figure.
18:33This also does swing out
18:34in the back as well.
18:35I'm not really quite sure
18:36what that does exactly
18:37on the back of the stock,
18:38but this also swings out too.
18:40It's a really nice looking gun,
18:41though, really nice.
18:42Really, of the three, like,
18:43guns that he's wielding,
18:45I'd probably say, like,
18:46this one is my favorite
18:47of all those three.
18:48So let's move everything
18:49out of the way.
18:50I think we've kind of
18:51covered off as much as we could
18:52with all those
18:53individual accessories.
18:54We need to spend
18:55some dedicated time
18:56talking about the Colonel now.
18:57Now again, I'm a big
18:58Chuck Norris fan.
18:59Admittingly, again,
19:00I kind of watch
19:01the missing in action movies
19:02a little out of sequence,
19:03but, you know, again,
19:04I got to say, though,
19:05this is one of the best
19:06figure releases we've gotten
19:07so far from Caustic Plastic.
19:08Now, they've done,
19:09obviously, Universal Monsters.
19:10Some of those have been
19:11fantastic looking figures.
19:12Never really got the chance
19:13to get those.
19:14And, of course,
19:15they also did, as well,
19:16Toshiro Mifune,
19:17which we've looked at
19:18a couple of those
19:19also here on this channel.
19:20Being, though, with Toshiro,
19:21I was more, like,
19:22casually into a fan
19:23of his films.
19:24I would certainly, though,
19:25say I'm a bigger,
19:26more diehard fan
19:27of Chuck Norris.
19:28So for me, at least,
19:29this is a figure
19:30that I have more
19:31invested interest in,
19:32and I got to say,
19:33I'm really, really happy
19:34with the results of him.
19:35I'm going to open him up
19:36right now.
19:37First of all,
19:38we're obviously going to
19:39spend some time
19:40talking about his head sculpt.
19:41The head sculpt,
19:42he seems sort of
19:43more war-torn.
19:44Obviously, he's got
19:45some bags under his eyes.
19:46The coloring on all
19:47of these head sculpts,
19:48by the way,
19:49are hand-painted.
19:50You can see the amount
19:51of work went into
19:52not only just the sculpt alone,
19:53but how much work
19:54went then into
19:55painting the figure.
19:56Of course, he also has
19:57his bandana here
19:58on the side.
19:59It's not that long, either,
20:00so it's not going to
20:01affect at all
20:02when it comes to
20:03figures articulation.
20:04But yeah,
20:05I think they've done
20:06such a great job here
20:07likeness-wise
20:08for Chuck Norris.
20:09Of course, Chuck Norris
20:10sporting his very,
20:11very cool beard.
20:12Chuck Norris was known
20:13in movies,
20:14most of all,
20:15for having beards.
20:16There were a few movies,
20:17obviously,
20:18when he fought
20:19Bruce Lee, for example.
20:20I don't think he had
20:21the beard at that point.
20:22But for me,
20:23at least,
20:24I always tend to think
20:25of Chuck Norris
20:26with the beard.
20:27Boy, oh boy,
20:28that's such a good-looking
20:29head sculpt.
20:30I think there's so much life
20:31and I wouldn't even say
20:32lack of life.
20:33You can see behind
20:34Chuck Norris's eyes.
20:35It says something,
20:36obviously,
20:37for how much
20:38sculpting,
20:39how much talent,
20:40behind the scenes,
20:41getting the sculpt
20:42to look as good
20:43as it does here.
20:44Now, for his outfit,
20:45he's got himself
20:46his Vietnam,
20:47this is an OG
20:48107 Jungle jacket.
20:49Again, the coloring matches
20:50pretty close to the way
20:51we've seen in the film.
20:52He's got a pack here
20:53on the side for his belt.
20:54It does, though,
20:55look like the belt
20:56would be detachable.
20:57I would almost have a worry,
20:58though,
20:59that detaching the belt
21:00would have a harder time
21:01putting it back in place.
21:02On the back,
21:03obviously,
21:04he's got his harness here.
21:05The harness straps in
21:06and it seems to be linked
21:07on these little ringlets
21:08here on the belt.
21:09Again, it looks like
21:10they're potentially
21:11able to be removed,
21:12but you would imagine
21:13how small of an eye hole
21:14do you have to work with here?
21:15That would be probably
21:16quite difficult
21:17to try to detach.
21:18The jacket looks very good,
21:19though.
21:20Of course,
21:21he's got the pants
21:22matching that as well.
21:23I like that they've added
21:24a little bit of wear
21:25there, too, as well.
21:26It obviously looks like
21:27they've been soiled.
21:28Again, he's crawling around
21:29in the jungle.
21:30You would like to think,
21:31as well,
21:32his outfits,
21:33both top and bottom,
21:34have some wear and tear to them.
21:35Again, I do like
21:36that they've added
21:37a little bit of scuffing brown
21:38added in there.
21:39The pants look good.
21:40He's got these really long laces.
21:41For a second,
21:42I thought the laces
21:43were too long.
21:44You probably could also
21:45go in there
21:46and tie the laces up.
21:47I chose not to,
21:48at least for this review.
21:49I just want to keep the way
21:50that the laces were
21:51just to show you.
21:52I suppose,
21:53if you went in there,
21:54you probably could easily
21:55tie up the laces
21:56and double knot them
21:57if you want to, as well.
21:58The boots look good, though.
21:59These are all done in plastic,
22:00so it doesn't seem to
22:01impede at all
22:02the articulation of the figure.
22:03I can still move his feet
22:04up and down.
22:05I can move his boots
22:06back and forth.
22:07He's got some nice sculpting
22:08on the bottoms of his treads.
22:09Again, these do attach
22:10magnetically to the display stand.
22:12I do really wish
22:13that more companies
22:14could do stuff like that.
22:15Let's look at the figure's articulation.
22:18Going back to
22:19James Braddock's head sculpt.
22:20Again,
22:21I could probably spend
22:22easily the next 20 minutes
22:24talking about how good
22:25the head looks on here.
22:26Obviously,
22:27when it comes to his poseability,
22:28his head's going to look
22:29very high up,
22:30and it's going to look down.
22:31You can also move it
22:32back and forth, as well.
22:33If I kind of move things
22:34behind the scenes
22:35out of the way,
22:36you can see that he seems
22:37to only have one single hinge,
22:38but it makes for much more
22:39of a seamless neck.
22:40Sometimes,
22:41what they end up doing
22:42in companies,
22:43they end up putting
22:44a double ball joint.
22:45There's a ball joint
22:46normally at the base of the neck,
22:47and there's a ball joint
22:48at the top of the neck
22:49that attaches to the head.
22:50In this case,
22:51they only relied on the one,
22:52but honestly,
22:53he does everything
22:54you would need him to do anyways.
22:55I don't feel like
22:56there would be a need
22:57to have a ball joint
22:58Now, for his upper torso,
22:59it seems to be
23:00on a ball joint, too.
23:01You can have him
23:02crunched forward.
23:03You can have him
23:04looking back.
23:05You can also move it
23:06back and forth, as well.
23:07Arms come out.
23:08I would say just shy
23:09of a T-pose,
23:10a little less than 90 degrees.
23:11You can take those arms,
23:12and you can move them forward.
23:13You can move them back.
23:14He has a...
23:15It doesn't seem like
23:16he's got a swivel right here,
23:17or maybe he does.
23:18Yeah, he does have
23:19a swivel right there.
23:20I noticed, though,
23:21getting the figure
23:22out of the packaging,
23:23that this arm
23:24was certainly tight,
23:25and I assume the same
23:26for this side.
23:27Yeah, there's a swivel
23:28there right...
23:29You can actually even feel it,
23:30or you'd have to
23:31take my word for it.
23:32You can feel it right there.
23:33The figure does have
23:34a double hinge on the elbow.
23:35Good for, of course,
23:36when it comes to him
23:37holding the guns.
23:38You can rotate, of course,
23:39the hands all the way around.
23:40Hinge those back and forth, too.
23:41His legs split out.
23:42Not maybe to the point
23:43where he could do
23:44those high kicks.
23:45Norris was all good for that.
23:46But you can certainly
23:47move the legs forward.
23:48You can move them back.
23:49There's a swivel
23:50at the top of the thigh.
23:51Double hinge on the knee.
23:52And even though, again,
23:53when it comes to his legs,
23:54even though his feet
23:56are, again,
23:57encased in plastic
23:58for his boots,
23:59still there's a decent range
24:00enough in there.
24:01So you can move the boots
24:02up and down.
24:03You can also rock them
24:04back and forth as well.
24:05Boy, oh boy.
24:06What a nice looking figure
24:07this ended up being.
24:08Now, again,
24:09you don't have to go
24:10the route of getting
24:11the Deluxe or the ELX
24:12versions of Chuck Norris.
24:13Again, if you wanted
24:14to get Braddock,
24:15he is right now
24:16as a pre-order
24:17over on Caustic Plastic's site.
24:18I'm just getting this guy
24:19to stand a little bit here.
24:20Yeah, he's available
24:21right now over on their site.
24:22If you guys are interested,
24:23as right now,
24:24he's a pre-order.
24:25You can certainly click
24:26the link I'm going to
24:27provide down below
24:28in the video description.
24:29For me, Chuck Norris
24:30is one of those
24:31standout action stars.
24:32Like, you know,
24:33as you got later
24:34into the action movies,
24:35you know, of course,
24:36with Stallone,
24:37you had Arnold Schwarzenegger,
24:38Jean-Claude Van Damme,
24:39personal favorite of mine.
24:40And, you know,
24:41speaking of Caustic Plastic,
24:42Caustic Plastic is going
24:43to, in fact,
24:44be doing a Frank Dukes,
24:45I believe,
24:46from Bloodsport.
24:47I can't wait for that one.
24:48But yeah, though,
24:49as Chuck Norris,
24:50Chuck Norris is one of
24:51those earlier action stars
24:52I was introduced to.
24:53And what a great idea
24:54was it to have kids
24:55watching an action movie
24:56starring Chuck Norris
24:57when he's saving
24:58prisoners of war.
24:59But either way, though,
25:00Caustic Plastic
25:01has done a fantastic job
25:03on, also,
25:04Colonel James Braddock,
25:05the one six-scale
25:06deluxe figure.
25:07Like I said,
25:08he is a pre-order right now
25:09over on their site.
25:10If you guys aren't
25:11interested and want to
25:12get your hands on him,
25:13you may want to do that
25:14before the figure
25:15does sell out.
25:16Oh, by the way,
25:17there is a specific way
25:18of having the MK2
25:19hand grenade close.
25:20I was thinking it was
25:21more just friction
25:22that kept the barrel
25:23at bay,
25:24when in actual fact,
25:25it's this switch
25:26that plays more of
25:27a significant role.
25:28When you see it
25:29to the side like this,
25:30you'll see that the
25:31canal is open.
25:32When you bring it
25:33forward, though,
25:34you can see now
25:35there's a little lip
25:36of plastic that ends
25:37up sitting inside
25:38this little groove
25:39right here.
25:40So you just bring
25:41this over,
25:42swing it over across,
25:43close the barrel shut,
25:44and then close
25:45this back in place.
25:46And it stays
25:47generally in place.
25:48Banging it will still
25:49open up the barrel,
25:50but it's certainly
25:51a lot more secure
25:52than just assuming
25:53it was a friction
25:54that was keeping it closed.
25:55In the end, though,
25:56I'm only going to
25:57just ultimately
25:58putting it back in the bag.
25:59But I wanted to show you
26:00at least there was
26:01a specific way of
26:02keeping the barrel
26:03closed on the hand grenade.
26:04I must have had
26:05some vague recollection
26:06of Missing in Action.
26:07First, I thought that
26:08the film franchise
26:09went a lot longer
26:10than four years,
26:11and that there were
26:12a lot more sequels
26:13than just two.
26:14Yet the original
26:15Missing in Action
26:16came out in 1984.
26:17The final film,
26:18Braddock, Missing in Action
26:19Part 3, came out in 1988.
26:20So a whole lot more
26:21names after the fact.
26:22And then he went on
26:23to be a walker,
26:24Texas Ranger.
26:25Now, when it comes to
26:26certainly the plastic release
26:27of him by Caustic Plastic,
26:28they chose instead
26:29to go with the 1984 release.
26:30I think that's probably
26:31the better idea.
26:32I don't know if that means
26:33we're going to be getting
26:34additional James Braddocks
26:35from maybe the other sequels,
26:36but I think that this one
26:37gives you everything
26:38that you would really
26:39essentially need.
26:40Now, in obviously
26:41the wrap-up of this review,
26:42I've got the character
26:43displayed right now
26:44with the M16 machine gun
26:45strapped on his back
26:46right now as well
26:47with the MK hand grenade.
26:48And I've also got
26:49the M16 explosive
26:50within a hand as well.
26:51I mean, with so many
26:52things that you saw
26:53in this review,
26:54the thing that you
26:55really have to be though,
26:56selective.
26:57Selective when it comes
26:58to choosing which
26:59Braddock is best for you.
27:00Now, the one that we
27:01looked at in this review
27:02is the DLX.
27:03The DLX and the EXL
27:04are going to have
27:05exclusive accessories.
27:06And I tried to do my best
27:07to kind of show you guys
27:08what the exclusive
27:09accessories are.
27:10It's basically the M16A2
27:11rifle, which for me,
27:12I think it's probably
27:13the biggest reason
27:14why you'd want to get
27:15the deluxe version.
27:16Again, like the backpack
27:17is going to be a DLX release,
27:18the TNT, which again,
27:19he's got currently right now,
27:20the binoculars,
27:21the wire cutter,
27:22and the display stand.
27:23Actually, I think the
27:24display stand is still
27:25with the standard release.
27:26So like you have to be,
27:27again, choosy as to
27:28which figure you want to get.
27:29If I was to make the
27:30recommendation for you guys,
27:31I would probably say,
27:32especially if you want
27:33to have the character
27:34displayed with the M16A2
27:35rifle, probably go the
27:36route of the deluxe.
27:37The deluxe, by the way,
27:38FYI, is going to be
27:39selling right now on
27:40their site or is a
27:41pre-order on their site
27:42for 340 pounds.
27:43You may have to do
27:44the conversion,
27:45obviously figure out
27:46what that's going to
27:47work for you.
27:48But yeah, if you guys
27:49are a big fan of
27:50Missing in Action,
27:51Chuck Norris as a whole,
27:52it's a great figure
27:53to be picking up.
27:54A big thank you again
27:55to the folks over at
27:56Caustic Plastic that
27:57did provide the sample
27:58of the upcoming release,
27:59Missing in Action,
28:00Colonel James Braddock,
28:01that we had the chance
28:02to have a look at this
28:03review.
28:04Let me know down below
28:05in the comments section
28:06what your first
28:07introduction was to
28:08Chuck Norris.
28:09Maybe it was Walker
28:10Texas Ranger.
28:11Maybe it was even his
28:12fight with Bruce Lee,
28:13which is one of the
28:14greatest fights around.
28:15But what was your
28:16first introduction to
28:17Chuck Norris?
28:18Let me know down below
28:19in the comments section.
28:20If you guys also did
28:21enjoy this video,
28:22you can do it a solid
28:23throw to like.
28:24You guys want to
28:25stick around for more
28:26so?
28:27I hope so.
28:28We are, by the way,
28:29wrapping up the reviews
28:30right now for James Braddock.
28:31We're not done yet
28:32though with Caustic Plastic.
28:33There's going to be
28:34one other figure that
28:35we're going to be
28:36looking at this week.
28:37So you may want to
28:38make sure you're
28:39coming back for that.
28:40And as always,
28:41thanks for watching.
28:42See you guys next time.
28:43Bye.
