00:00It is a second date update right now. We are trying to help out Chrissy this morning. We want to set her back up on a date with Max. It's commercial free new country 99.5 QIK. She has not heard from him since their date at Jay Alexander's. So let's just go ahead and call him right now and see if we can get him on the phone.
00:30Hello? Hi, good morning. Is this Max? Yeah. Hey, Max. Sorry to bother you this morning. This is actually J.R. Lana and Kevin over here at 99.5 QIK. How are you doing? Good morning. Yeah. Hey. Yeah. I know you guys are. What's up? Yeah. So random phone call. I know. We want to see if we can talk to you on the air for a minute.
00:58Actually, about a date you recently went on. Just to be a couple minutes. We want to talk to you about a girl who actually is really, really interested in you.
01:06Okay. And we're talking about Chrissy. We heard you guys went to Jay Alexander's. Had a great date there. She thought she was very impressed by you. Bottom line.
01:15Yeah. And she sounds super sweet, too. And wants to see you again, but can't seem to set it up. And we were hoping we could maybe help out. What's going on?
01:23No. Yeah. She's she's really rude. I'm sorry. Yeah. She's just super rude. She's rude. Yeah. I mean, she doesn't like have common manners when it comes to dating at all.
01:37Well, what happened? Well, you know, we went to we went to the restaurant and she totally ran the bill up on me.
01:43Oh, no. Like, what do you mean?
01:46Well, I mean, like, exactly running the bill. Like, as soon as we sat down, she wanted appetizers. Right.
01:53Like she was like multiple appetizers. Then she ordered a drink and another drink.
01:58Then she ordered a full bottle of wine. And like in all of this time, I had one bite of the appetizer and, you know, one drink.
02:06And she was just like mowing it all down. Oh, man. Yeah.
02:12I mean, I've never been out with anyone like this. Seriously.
02:14Like and then when, you know, when dinner was over and they come to ask for dessert, she was like she absolutely wanted dessert.
02:20And she was so full, she couldn't even eat the dessert. So she took the dessert to go.
02:26Well, and that's that's a pricey place, too.
02:29So I can imagine the bill was, you know, kind of a little bit.
02:33The bill, the bill was well, it was well over one hundred dollars.
02:36And when the check came, she she acted like it didn't exist.
02:40And like I did, you know, when we were talking and everything, you know, I did offer to buy her dinner.
02:44But, you know, she just took that as a hall pass to to go buffet on on on everything.
02:52All right. So you're a little shocked by how much she ate and how she kept ordering things.
02:59Yeah. I mean, it's not like how much she ate or anything.
03:01It's that, you know, she she was, you know, aware that I was going to pay for it.
03:07And I just felt like she took advantage.
03:09Yeah. Price wasn't an issue, obviously.
03:11All right. Well, here's the deal, Max.
03:13We actually have Chrissy on the phone with us, too.
03:15So we can kind of get to the bottom of this.
03:17I know we're broadsiding you again here.
03:19Chrissy.
03:21I don't understand.
03:22Like, wait a minute.
03:23You're mad because I ordered food?
03:25Like, what was I supposed to do?
03:26No, I mean, I just said I'm mad because you ran up the bill.
03:30So, yeah, but like you decided to go out.
03:33Like, you picked the place, you know?
03:36No, I mean, I get that.
03:37But that's just not what you do on a date.
03:38Like, it's just it's it's not like if you're if you're so concerned, like maybe you don't pick Jay Alexander's to start.
03:45Like, I'm just going to eat what I eat.
03:47Like, it feels very controlling.
03:49Like, I can't believe I thought you were really nice.
03:52And like, it just don't know that you're kind of cheap.
03:55Oh, no.
03:57Cheap.
03:57I mean, I paid for the meal.
03:59I mean, you took you ordered a dessert on my tab to go.
04:02I mean, come on.
04:03Yeah, that's kind of it's a first day.
04:06And you know what?
04:06You're right.
04:07That's a lesson learned for me.
04:09Next time I'm just, you know, going out for drinks or not offering to buy someone dinner.
04:14I mean, is it true, though, Chrissy, that you had a couple of appetizers, bottle of wine, dessert, entree?
04:20Yeah, that's a lot.
04:21I thought we were just getting to know each other, enjoying ourselves.
04:24I really wasn't taking a mistake in it.
04:26But who orders a couple of appetizers and a bottle of wine?
04:30Like, you should be respectful and order like a glass.
04:33I mean, I guess I just like we couldn't decide what we wanted.
04:37So it was just one of those things.
04:39You don't have to just eat, you know, one little side dish, you know, if it's on my tab.
04:45But I mean, it's like you're going smorgasbord on the whole thing.
04:48And that's just like that's it's just ridiculous.
04:51I've been on many days.
04:52I've never ever encountered someone like that.
04:54Sorry.
04:55It's just to me, it's real.
04:57Like I said, like you had you had the choice where to go.
05:01And you could have been like, you know what?
05:03I'm not really that hungry.
05:04Or like, why don't we just, you know, maybe like just stick to drinks or something like there were no.
05:09I don't know.
05:09We're just getting to know.
05:10It was just flowing with the conversation.
05:13Let me ask you this, Max.
05:14I mean, this is going to be a deal breaker for you for maybe another date.
05:17I mean, I know the bill was high and you, you know, whatever.
05:21But now she knows where you're coming from.
05:22Would you be willing to give her another chance?
05:25No, no.
05:26It's a deal breaker.
05:27Like I, yeah, I've never been out with anyone like that before.
05:30I can understand that.
05:32That's a lot.
05:34Wow.
05:35Chrissy, you were calling and you were wondering why Max wasn't getting back to you.
05:39Now we know.
05:40I'm sorry.
05:40It's not going to be another day for you.
05:42But I do appreciate you coming on.
05:44Okay.
05:44Well, thanks.
05:45Yep.
05:45And Max, thanks for your time.
05:47Yeah.
05:47Thanks.
05:48Bye.
05:49I totally know where he's coming from.
05:52Because when we like go out to dinner with the kids and the kids are like, oh, I want
05:55extra fries.
05:56Oh, I want extra this.
05:57And we're buying all these extra dishes and then they never touch them.
06:02They take like one bite.
06:03You're like, okay, we just spent all that money on all that extra food and you guys never
06:06even ate it.
06:07It's kind of like the same thing.
06:08Yeah.
06:09It irritates me.
06:10But he shouldn't have taken her such a nice restaurant.
06:12Well, I mean, it's not like she has to get a salad, but I think if she would have got
06:15just maybe an appetizer, an entree and maybe a dessert, it would have been fine.
06:19But to just like keep ordering things and pricey things and knowing where you're at, then you
06:23got to kind of read the situation if you're her too.
06:25Like maybe not do that.
06:26But was she in the wrong?
06:28Do you think she was?
