00:00Hello there, good afternoon. Northeastern areas are going to see a much brighter and warmer
00:05day ahead, particularly if you compare it to the cloudy and cool days we've had recently.
00:08And it's all because this area of high pressure that's been giving us the settled conditions
00:12recently has just shifted its way slightly southwards. So we're starting to see a change
00:16in our wind direction, more of a northwesterly flow moving into northern areas. So we're
00:20just about getting rid of that easterly flow that's brought in the cloud from the North
00:23Sea. But at times we could still see it today across east Anglian coast, parts of Kent as
00:28well. Now eventually through the rest of the week into the weekend, this area of high
00:31pressure will continue to sink its way southwards. But that means a change is on its way and
00:35it's going to allow Atlantic mobility to take hold once again, dragging in some frontal systems
00:40at first across the north and becoming more widespread into Saturday. Some more cloud,
00:44perhaps some rain and also some showers. But before we talk about that, let's take a look
00:48at this weekend. So it was quite a cloudy start across the southeastern half of the UK. That
00:53cloud is burning back now towards coastal areas, but it's likely to linger through much of the
00:57afternoon across east Anglia, parts of Kent as well, mainly around coastal areas. And we've
01:02also got some more cloud pushing into the northern coast of Scotland too. But elsewhere, there's going
01:07to be plenty of clear skies, wall to wall sunshine and feeling warm in that sunshine too. Particularly
01:13across northeastern parts of Scotland, northeastern parts of England, almost a 10 degree difference here
01:18if you compare temperatures to yesterday. But across central and southern areas, a slightly cooler day
01:23compared to yesterday. But it is still going to be feeling warm in the light winds.
01:28Now, as we progress through into the evening, once again, there's going to be plenty of clear
01:31skies. So turning chilly once again, still a chance of some rural frost in places, but it's not going to
01:36be turning quite as cold as it has done of late. We're still going to continue to see more cloud push into
01:41northern areas of Scotland, perhaps some light drizzle across Shetland by the time you reach the morning.
01:46And it's also likely that we'll see some mist and fog patches towards dawn too. So lows of around four to five
01:51celsius, perhaps a touch lower in rural spots under clear skies. So a chilly start, some mist and fog,
01:58but that should clear away quite readily through the morning. There's a chance we could see some low
02:02cloud just skirt southern coasts and still plenty of cloud pushing into the far north of Scotland.
02:07Once again, some drizzly outbreaks for Shetland and turning a bit breezier too in the far north of
02:12Scotland under those cloudier skies. But once again, elsewhere, another dry day, wall to wall sunshine,
02:17and it's going to be a warmer day across the board, really, as we head into tomorrow. Highs of 22,
02:22possibly 23 celsius across England and Wales, and even Scotland, we could see another 20 or 21 degrees celsius.
02:30Now, as we progress into the weekend, as I mentioned, there is a change on its way. It's going to be warm to
02:34start, but cooling off by the time we reach Sunday, likely that we'll see more cloud and rain and
02:39showers, and some of this could be heavy at times. But if you want more information on this weekend's
02:44weather, we can catch Aiden later here on YouTube. That's it from me. Bye bye.
