Some areas of low cloud affecting the far south of England and northern Scotland overnight, thick enough across Shetland to produce some spots of drizzle. Elsewhere, clear skies and a few mist or fog patches. Feeling chilly, particularly across the south. - This is the Met Office UK Weather forecast for the evening of 10/04/2025. 00:00Hello there, good evening.
00:01Welcome to your weather update from the Met Office.
00:03I hope you've managed to enjoy some of the warm spring sunshine this afternoon.
00:07As we head into this evening and overnight, temperatures are soon going to dip away after
00:12sunset.
00:13It's a chance we could see some low cloud as well, particularly across southern areas
00:16as we head through into this evening.
00:17Similar across the very far north of Scotland, some cloud pushing in here.
00:21It might just be thick enough to produce some drizzle across Shetland as well.
00:25But for many, a dry night, a clear night, so turning a little bit chillier and likely
00:29we'll see some mist and fog by the time we reach the morning too, particularly across
00:32the far south.
00:33It's not going to feel quite as chilly as it has done recently to start the day and any
00:38mist and fog will readily clear through the course of the morning and that leaves a very
00:42nice end to the week.
00:43Lots of sunshine around, wall to wall sunshine in places and light winds and it's going to
00:47be feeling very warm indeed.
00:49A slightly different story though across the very far north of Scotland, once again more
00:53cloud here, some drizzly outbreaks moving into the Northern Isles by the time we reach
00:56the afternoon and slightly breezier here too.
00:59But for many, a very pleasant end to the week.
01:02Highs of 21 Celsius, possibly 22 or 23 where we see that sunshine.
01:08Now into the evening, we're going to begin to start to see a little bit of a change.
01:12Once again, more clouds, some drizzly outbreaks still just lingering on across the far north
01:16of Scotland.
01:17We'll see some clearer skies to start the night, but eventually we'll start to see more cloud
01:22just start to push its way into Cornwall and a chance we could see a shower by the morning
01:26as well.
01:27And fairly similar temperatures to the night before too, a little bit chilly in places,
01:31a chance of some mist and fog too.
01:34Now into Saturday, there is still going to be lots of dry weather around, but we are beginning
01:38to see a change to something more unsettled.
01:41More clouds starting to push in from the southwest, this likely bringing in some showery outbreaks,
01:46particularly as we head into the afternoon for parts of southwest England, southern parts of
01:50Wales, and similarly across the very far northwest, more cloud feeding in here, possibly seeing
01:55some rain later into the afternoon, but you can still see there's going to be plenty of
01:59dry weather around, perhaps just a bit more cloud, and it's still going to feel very warm
02:03too.
02:04Highs of 21, possibly 22 Celsius where we see more sunnier outbreaks.
02:09Now for the second half of the weekend, a more unsettled spell of weather, we have this
02:14cold front moving its way in from the west, bringing in more cloud, outbreaks of rain,
02:18and also, if you notice the colours behind me, it's also going to bring in something slightly
02:21cooler too.
02:22So Sunday, an unsettled day ahead, cloud, outbreaks of rain, some showers, and feeling cooler too,
02:29and that leads us into a more unsettled week as we head into next week.
02:33But for more details on that, you can subscribe to our YouTube channel so you don't miss any
02:37updates.
02:38Bye bye.
