00:00Hello there, good evening.
00:01Well, once again, it's been a beautiful spring day, wall-to-wall sunshine in some places.
00:06That's away from eastern coasts though, more cloud here and I'm afraid to say there's more
00:10cloud on its way as we head through the overnight period, at first across Yorkshire, Lincolnshire,
00:14East Anglia and then eventually drifting its way further inland through the course of the
00:18night, leading to quite a grey start across the south-eastern half of the UK, but across
00:22Scotland, Northern Ireland, parts of Wales and Cornwall, a clear night to come, but that
00:26does mean it's going to be largely chilly, possibly seeing some rural frost in places
00:31by the time we reach the morning, but for many even under cloudier skies, it's likely going
00:36to be a chilly start to the day.
00:39So it is going to be quite a cloudy start across much of England and Wales, particularly across
00:43the south-eastern half, but eventually we'll see that cloud burn its way back towards the
00:46coast, particularly across the coast of East Anglia, Sussex and Kent, for example, too, might
00:51see quite a cloudy day across shorelines, but it's going to be an improved day across much
00:56of north-eastern Scotland, north-eastern parts of England, too. Less cloud and that allows
01:00temperatures to really warm up, so you're going to see plenty of sunshine and it's going
01:03to feel warm in that sunshine, too. Highs of 20 degrees across Aberdeenshire, likely
01:07seeing 19 to 20 degrees across north-eastern parts of England, but even elsewhere it's
01:11going to be a pleasant day, temperatures widely in the mid to high teens to low 20s.
01:16So Thursday is a pleasant day ahead and you're really going to feel that temperature difference
01:20across north-eastern parts of Scotland, north-eastern England, a good 10 degrees difference
01:24if you compare it to the day before.
01:27As we head through into the evening, once again, plenty of clear skies, so temperatures soon
01:30dipping away once again, perhaps some low cloud just creeping into southern coasts and still
01:34plenty of cloud across the far north of Scotland. Shetland and Orkney, for example, seeing quite
01:39a cloudy night and likely seeing some rain and drizzle by the morning. And it is going
01:43to turn chilly once again under those clearer skies, but likely not turning quite as cold as
01:47it has done of late.
01:50Now there could be some spots of mist and fog during the morning, but this should clear
01:53away fairly quickly and it's going to leave a fine and settled end to the week across much
01:58of England and Wales. Still plenty of sunshine, plenty of warm sunshine, too. The only caveat
02:03is across the far north of Scotland. More cloud pushing in here, turning quite breezy under
02:08these cloudy skies and also some drips and drabs of rain and drizzle just starting to clip
02:12into the far north and northwest of Scotland by the end of the day. But elsewhere, a pleasant
02:16end to the week. Highs of 21 degrees, possibly a degree or two higher where we see the sunshine
02:21stick around.
02:23Now as we finish off the week and head towards the weekend, there's still going to be lots
02:27of fine and settled weather, particularly across the south. But we're eventually going
02:30to start to see a breakdown as that high pressure sinks southwards. This allows some frontal systems
02:34to move in from the north. So it's likely by the end of Saturday into Sunday, we're going
02:38to see more cloud and also some more rain and those temperatures are on the decline as well.
02:43But obviously for more updates on that, you can subscribe to our YouTube channel and then
02:47you won't miss any updates. Bye bye.
