00:00Good evening, everyone. I'm Laura Ingraham. This is the Ingraham Angle from Washington tonight.
00:04Chuck Schumer needs to get a new joke writer.
00:07Donald Trump's first 100 days can be defined by one big F word. Failure.
00:19It's hilarious. And why did Kamala really pick Twisted Tim?
00:23I also was on the ticket, quite honestly, you know, because I could code talk to white guys.
00:30Plus Trump's sales pitch to CEOs.
00:33My hair looks so beautiful because of your product.
00:36But first, Trump's on a roll. That's the focus of tonight's Angle.
00:43After months of negotiation, President Trump just signed a landmark minerals deal with Ukraine's President Zelensky.
00:50Now, this is going to give the United States access to valuable, really important rare earth minerals.
00:56Now, the man just doesn't stop.
00:57Now, this comes after last night's Trump bonanza.
01:00Not only the rally, but Trump smashing the biased press, as only Trump can do.
01:05When ABC empathizes with an illegal alien with MS-13 tattoos on his knuckles, this is what happens.
01:11On his knuckles, he had MS-13.
01:14There's a dispute over that.
01:15Wait a minute. Wait a minute.
01:17He had MS-13 on his knuckles tattooed.
01:19He did say, oh, he had some tattoos that are interpreted that way.
01:22But let's move on.
01:22Wait a minute. Hey, Terry, Terry, Terry.
01:24That was Photoshopped.
01:26That was Photoshopped.
01:28Terry, you can't do that.
01:29Hey, they're giving you the big break of a lifetime.
01:31You know, you're doing the interview.
01:32I picked you because, frankly, I never heard of you, but that's okay.
01:35I picked you, Terry, but you're not being very nice.
01:40Pass the popcorn.
01:41Trump exposes them at every turn.
01:44We follow the legal process.
01:46I can't have a trial, a major trial, for every person that came in illegally.
01:52We have thousands of murderers that came in.
01:55We have to get them out.
01:56We have to get them out fast.
01:58Really bad guys.
01:58But in our country, even bad guys get due process, right?
02:02If people come into our country illegally, there's a different standard.
02:06These are illegal.
02:08They came in illegally.
02:09But they get due process.
02:10Well, they get a process where we have to get them out.
02:14I have a question.
02:15Do these reporters do any research?
02:18We had a president that was grossly incompetent.
02:21You knew it.
02:22I knew it.
02:22And everybody knew it.
02:23But you guys didn't want to write it because you're fake news.
02:26All right.
02:27And by the way, ABC is one of the worst.
02:29I have to be honest with you.
02:31Okay.
02:31This was thoroughly enjoyable.
02:34Okay.
02:35The reality show continues.
02:37But you can only truly appreciate how hands-on Trump is as president, how forward-thinking
02:42he is, when you're reminded of how bad President Biden was.
02:47Now, remember Biden's first cabinet meeting?
02:49It wasn't until April 1st of 2021.
02:52But counting today's for Trump, Trump's already held three public cabinet meetings,
02:57and gave the press almost unfettered access.
03:00We'll go around the table and you can hear it.
03:02These are cabinet meetings where they're very open and transparent.
03:06And I can guarantee you Biden didn't do this.
03:09No, he did not.
03:10Now, on his good days, Biden would basically read an opening statement.
03:14Then his staff would shoo reporters out of the room.
03:18Now, wait for the bonus at the end of this one.
03:21While most of the cabinet will have a role in helping shape and press the jobs plan,
03:26today I'm announcing that I'm asking five cabinet members to take special responsibility.
03:33Now, we've got a lot of business to do and get done.
03:37I thank the press for being here.
03:39But talk to you all later.
03:41I mean, everything about that was bad.
03:57No questions from reporters.
03:59Then, of course, the social distancing with the masks.
04:03COVID performance theater.
04:05Never forget that.
04:07Now, in fact, Biden's staff had such little confidence in his cognitive ability.
04:11That they didn't schedule regular cabinet meetings.
04:14Or they just scripted them all when they did occur.
04:17Now, back in July of last year, a source told CNN that the entire display is kind of an act.
04:23They would come and say, hey, the president is going to call on you about 25 minutes in and ask this question.
04:31What are the bullet points you'll respond with?
04:34He was so decrepit that Joe even turned over his final cabinet meeting to his wife.
04:41Weak, weak, weak.
04:44But with Trump, it's strength all the way.
04:47Now, while some prior Republican presidents might be cowed by some less than fantastic poll numbers, not Trump.
04:53He goes on the offensive and stays on the offensive on the issues that matter.
04:58After Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy spoke today about the outdated air traffic control technology we have, Trump swooped in and added some key details.
05:09Booted Edge did a horrible job.
05:11They wasted billions and billions of dollars hooking up wire equipment to non-wire equipment to satellite equipment.
05:18And a third grade student would know it doesn't work.
05:22It can't work.
05:23And they spent, they wasted tens of billions of dollars.
05:26But we want to put a brand new air traffic control system in.
05:31I mean, what president gets into the details like that?
05:34Now, for more than two hours, Trump, Vance, every cabinet official, and even his chief of staff, gave important updates to the American people.
05:43No hiding, all on camera.
05:46Attorney General Pam Bondi spoke about shutting down the cartels.
05:50Your DOJ agencies have seized more than 22 million fentanyl pills, 3,400 kilos of fentanyl, which saved, are you ready for this media, 258 million lives.
06:05Oh, I love when she turns to the cameras.
06:07Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent on our work on artificial intelligence.
06:13America, under your leadership, is on the verge of becoming an AI superpower.
06:17We had high tech and finance on one side, natural resources led by energy, which the previous administration tried to kill on the other.
06:25And you're filling in between with precision manufacturing that we're going to be bringing back through good trade policies, good tax policies.
06:35An AI superpower.
06:37I love that.
06:38And speaking of trade deals.
06:40They said you wouldn't be able to do global tariffs.
06:43We did it.
06:44They said everyone would retaliate.
06:45No one retaliated outside of China.
06:47They said no one would come to negotiate.
06:49We're talking to dozens of countries.
06:50They said no one would have offers.
06:52We have dozens of written offers.
06:53They all want to negotiate.
06:55They want to make a deal.
06:55And after absurdly high gas prices under Biden, we got some very good news on the energy front.
07:02Oil, gasoline and diesel prices are the lowest they've been in years.
07:07How does that happen in 100 days?
07:09That's a messaging.
07:10Your message that we're pro energy.
07:12We're not against energy.
07:13We're for it.
07:14That sends a message to the marketplace.
07:16Already led to tremendous savings for American consumers across the country.
07:20No backing down.
07:23The commitment to bulldoze the failed establishment with real solutions, it's refreshing.
07:28Frankly, it's breathtaking.
07:30J.D. Vance said it best.
07:32You sit in the Oval Office and you see these portraits of presidents past.
07:35And let's be honest, most of them have been placeholders.
07:38They've been people who've allowed their staff to sign executive orders with an auto pen instead of men of action.
07:46And the reason the media attacks this administration as chaotic is because the president is solving the problems the American people set about to solve.
07:58Now, despite the barrage of criticism from every liberal sphere, it's very predictable.
08:03The Trump team, and I noticed it today, maybe you did as well, seems so much more organized and unified than the first time around.
08:11They're really on their front foot.
08:13They're working as efficiently, as quickly as possible to tackle the problems that D.C.'s big spending unit party created.
08:20Plus, Trump's having a lot more fun at every turn.
08:24You've done a great job, Susan.
08:26I think everybody agrees.
08:28Yes.
08:28Yeah.
08:28If you have anybody that disagrees, please, in front of us, the media.
08:41Yes, I do.
08:42Just raise your hand if you have the courage to do so.
08:46Happy Trump is best.
08:47Trump, I think I'll say that every night.
08:49I love it.
08:51I mean, guys, there's no need to sour on America.
08:54Do not listen to the naysayers.
08:56For the first time in decades, we can all see a path forward to a new golden age.
09:02That's the angle.
09:04All right.
09:04And as President Trump is getting things done for the country, my next guest is doing the same in Florida.
09:09Here with me now is Governor Ron DeSantis.
09:11Governor, great to see you.
09:13I've been watching what you're doing down there.
09:16And, you know, a lot of the red state governors are working in tandem with this administration.
09:19I think it's important that we check in with them, not just cover Washington.
09:24On the illegal immigration front, Governor, you, I believe you arrested more than 800 or so during what's called Operation Tidal Wave.
09:34But you're having some trouble getting all of these illegals deported.
09:39Tell us how states and the federal government can work together to move these people out of the country even more rapidly.
09:47Well, Laura, when President Trump got elected, I called a special session of the Florida legislature to get legislation requiring all state and local law enforcement agencies to actively participate with DHS and immigration enforcement.
10:05We're not a sanctuary state.
10:06We ban sanctuary cities.
10:07But that's not enough.
10:09You've got to be on the team.
10:10The leadership in the Florida House opposed me.
10:13We were able to get it done.
10:14And so now we have this integrated effort, first of its kind, with DHS and the Trump administration.
10:20And the numbers, I think, are going to end up being much higher than 800.
10:24We're going to have an update on that tomorrow.
10:27And so those are the types of numbers you need to really be able to put a dent in what Biden did.
10:32I mean, Biden let in millions and millions, and there were already millions and millions of illegal aliens.
10:38You've got to get those numbers up.
10:39So we're proud of doing that.
10:41We're the only state that's doing it at that level.
10:43However, we're ready to do more.
10:46We want DHS to prove some of our plans.
10:49We have the best emergency response and problem-solving units in the country.
10:54I can set up, at a moment's notice, within 72 hours, 10,000 beds for illegal so they can be processed and deported.
11:03We can run flights to El Salvador wherever they need to.
11:07So we're doing a lot.
11:12We're doing more than any other state.
11:14But we could do a lot more.
11:15And so we're working with DHS.
11:17And if they give us the approval on that, you'll see those numbers go up even more.
11:21So specifically, what do you need?
11:24Is it money?
11:25Is it some type of official green light?
11:28What is it?
11:29Yeah, green light, just authorization.
11:32So we have been deputized, our state agencies and a lot of our local, to exercise immigration enforcement authority.
11:39When Biden was president, if our highway patrol pulled over an illegal for driving drunk, they would call ICE.
11:46ICE wouldn't come get them.
11:48And then we weren't allowed to do anything beyond that in terms of immigration enforcement.
11:52Now we're deputized under President Trump's administration.
11:55Our guys can just take them and get them into processing for deportation right away.
12:01I'm confused.
12:01What can't you do specifically?
12:04Well, if we're going to launch a unilateral operation, we would need the DHS's blessing.
12:12I mean, we will go in.
12:13We won't even need DHS to necessarily be there.
12:16We will go in.
12:17We'll find.
12:18We have tens of thousands of illegals in Florida that are already on deportation orders.
12:24So you hear all this about due process.
12:26They've already been processed and have been ordered to be removed.
12:29We can go in and get those.
12:30So I think what we can do is provide more manpower, more space, and then we even have
12:37the ability to process.
12:38But we need that to be blessed and we need that to be in tandem.
12:42So if we can get that done, I think those numbers, you know, we talk about 800, 1,000
12:46in a sweep, those numbers will go up dramatically more in Florida.
12:50And if red states, just the red states did even a fraction of what we're doing in Florida,
12:56you would see those numbers go up across the country in a way that would really be meaningful.
13:00Are you not getting your calls returned?
13:03I mean, you have a great relationship with all these guys, Kristi Noem, President Trump.
13:07So well, I think I think it's a couple of things.
13:09I mean, I think one is Biden decimated the agency.
13:13And so they're really working to stand things back up.
13:16I do think they probably need Congress to provide more financial support for them.
13:21I have personally talked to Tom Homan about about our capabilities.
13:25And we want to do we have put our National Guard and they did they did request that.
13:30So we got our National Guard helping them on things as well.
13:33So part of it is they're good.
13:34They got a lot of stuff that they have to do, given what Biden left them.
13:39But, you know, we're ready.
13:40I know that they've seen some of the plans that we've offered.
13:43So we're going to finish up this tidal wave and then hopefully take it to the next level after that.
13:48Yeah.
13:49What's the tidal wave has to turn into a tsunami of illegals being moved out of the country.
13:54And I think we have we have governors in every state who would be willing to do more.
13:59And this is something new.
14:01I didn't know about, you know, what was happening on this front.
14:03But I'm sure it's going to be cleared in the way we'll be cleared to get this done.
14:07Governor, thank you very much for telling us about this.
14:10And we appreciate it.
14:12All right.
14:12Ahead, desperate Democrats are turning to group therapy sessions.
14:16I kid you not.
14:17The details next.
14:22All right.
14:24I'm tempted to start a GoFundMe to support Democrats' mental health in the age of Trump.
14:29It feels like every passing day we're finding another way that Donald Trump is turning the American dream into a nightmare.
14:35It's 100 days of just crap.
14:36The rights of our friends and family, our neighbors, American citizens across this great country are being taken away.
14:47Won't you give to support their mental health?
14:50Wait, are his neighbors J.B. Pritzker, billionaire, TDA members, MS-13 members?
14:54What is he talking about?
14:55So absurd.
14:56But again, we know what they want.
14:59They want an open border and zero deportations.
15:03So Trump's success, it's really driving them totally bonkers.
15:07And over in the Senate, they want you to think that they're so devoted to America, they're so tough, that they can pull an all-nighter and play Sesame Street.
15:16Chaos.
15:16C-H-A-O-S.
15:19Chaos.
15:19Another five-letter word is Trump.
15:23T-R-U-M-P.
15:26My friends, that is the Senate Minority Leader, the Democrats, here to react.
15:30Laura Trump, host of My View with Laura Trump.
15:32We just did an Instagram Live together because you haven't been in the studio for a while.
15:35It's so great to see you.
15:37All right, Laura, you were RNC co-chair.
15:40You know, parties go through their little evolutions and challenges and so forth.
15:43What would you tell them?
15:45What advice would you give them now, given what you just saw?
15:48I mean, I don't know.
15:49S-A-W.
15:50Yeah.
15:51It's a three-letter word.
15:52Yeah.
15:53It's going to take a lot to bring this party back.
15:55First, they're going to have to be honest with the American people and start admitting the problems that this country has faced.
16:01And they're not willing to do that, Laura.
16:02What you're seeing are stunts.
16:04We got a stunt there from Chuck Schumer.
16:05We've had a stunt on the Capitol steps.
16:08We got a stunt from Cory Booker, who did an all-nighter at 24 hours.
16:12They're not addressing the problems.
16:13And that's why the American people are not voting for them.
16:17And so any advice I would give them, I would say, you've got to talk about it.
16:20And they have to be authentic.
16:21And that, therein lies a lot of the problem for the Democrats.
16:25They tried to manufacture that Joe Biden was okay and that we should all vote for him.
16:29They've tried to manufacture that Kamala Harris was a great candidate.
16:32Nothing they're doing is resonating and nothing they're doing is speaking to the American people.
16:36In addition to your great show on the weekends, in addition to everything you're doing, politically, professionally, you're in music.
16:43Now, you heard them singing.
16:47Now, what would you rate that?
16:48I mean, if you could just rate that singing ability, the chants and everything, any talent there whatsoever?
16:53I will say it was very special to witness that.
16:57And that's a word that I think could go either way.
17:00A zero to ten, I'm going to give them about a 0.5.
17:03All right.
17:03Well, Michelle Obama says, apparently, that there's something that your father-in-law is doing that's really, really getting to her.
17:11Watch.
17:11In this current climate, for me, it's, you know, what's happening to immigrants?
17:18You know, so it's not the fear for myself anymore.
17:22There's so much bias and so much racism and so much ignorance.
17:26I don't know that we will have the advocates to protect everybody.
17:30And that makes me, that frightens me.
17:34It keeps me up at night.
17:36That was a keeper up in Martha's Vineyard or in Hawaii at the $23 million compound there?
17:41And her husband was a two-term president, African-American, and the country is an awful, rotten, racist country.
17:48Yeah.
17:48Well, and the problem is this is a party that's so obsessed with identity politics that they basically told us all over the past election that you couldn't even have people of the same gender, the same races, talking to one another, you know, sharing ideas.
18:01It's like they want to separate everybody.
18:02And yet Donald Trump got more votes from Latino Americans, from Hispanic Americans, from African Americans.
18:07Do you believe she is kept up at night by any of this?
18:09No, she's not.
18:10And she's also not using the correct terminology.
18:13It's not immigrants.
18:13It's illegal immigrants.
18:15And that's the slippery slope the Democrats are finding themselves in.
18:18They are not being honest with the American people.
18:20And now people are starting to see it.
18:21Well, he deported millions of people, turned them right around at the border.
18:23So was she losing sleep back then?
18:25Good question.
18:26Laura, vice chair of the DNC, David Hogg, sorry, may be ousted from his position for being a white male.
18:35Watch.
18:36The Democratic National Committee reportedly considering removing its newly elected vice chair, David Hogg, after receiving complaints surrounding diversity, equity and inclusion.
18:46A candidate who lost the vice chair race to Hogg claims the election was discriminatory toward women of color.
18:53Is it Hogg or Hogg?
18:55I honestly don't know.
18:56Laura, your thoughts?
18:56This has nothing to do, I don't think, with the fact that he's a white male.
19:00It's probably because he is creating a lot of infighting within the party.
19:04And as you pointed out, I'm the former co-chair of the Republican Party.
19:08We didn't have any of that turmoil when I was there alongside Michael Watley.
19:12This is a convenient way for them to use their own policies against one of their own.
19:17I think it's because he's been a complete disaster as vice chair.
19:19Yeah, well, he's going to challenge every incumbent.
19:21Great strategy, Laura.
19:22Great to see you.
19:24Thank you so much for joining us.
19:25All right, Trump's big, beautiful reconciliation bill hitting some snags in Congress.
19:29And the president warns that if it doesn't pass, it could have a disastrous effect on you.
19:34Maybe the biggest thing we're working on, maybe bigger than tariffs in a certain sense, is the, we call it the one big, beautiful bill.
19:41The Democrats are trying to stop it at every turn.
19:45It would mean a 58% tax hike if they were successful and lots of other bad things beyond the tax hike.
19:53But with us, it'll be the biggest tax cut in American history.
19:57How are we doing with the bill?
19:59We're doing great.
20:00We're day in, day out, hour by hour negotiations to make sure your stuff is in there and to make sure we have the border resources, the defense resources,
20:09and to save the people some tax money and make sure all those tax cuts that you ran on are in there.
20:15And that helped get people back to the workforce.
20:18Here to tell us more about that big, beautiful bill, negotiations on it, is Missouri Congressman Jason Smith, chair of the House Ways and Means Committee.
20:25Congressman, other than maybe Mike, you know, the chief speaker of the House, Mike Johnson, you're probably the most important person.
20:32And Scott Bessant, and obviously the president.
20:34But in these negotiations, it seems like there's a lot of money still being spent.
20:39The Senate seems to want to spend more money than the House does.
20:42How are you going to reconcile that?
20:43You know, we've been working with the Senate hand in glove, especially since the budget resolution was passed two weeks ago.
20:49Six to eight hours that myself and committee staff on Ways and Means and Finance has been trying to make sure we're all on the same page.
20:56We have to deliver all of the president's priorities, make permanent the expiring provisions of the successful Trump tax cuts, no tax on tips, no tax on overtime, tax relief for seniors.
21:08Everything that the president campaigned on, we're preparing that and we're going to deliver it.
21:11But how are you going to cut spending?
21:12So we have to cut at least $1.5 trillion worth of spending.
21:17Real cuts or the fake budget tricks that they do over in the Senate, which you and I have talked about before?
21:23They're going to be real cuts.
21:24We've been looking at all kinds of ways to make proper reforms in health care, proper ways to have efficiencies.
21:35There's work requirements that you can do in various government programs.
21:39We also need to repeal a lot of the bad tax policy that was put in by the prior administration.
21:47You know, there's a big fight over deductibility of state taxes.
21:51There's a big dispute about that right now.
21:53I know you're all working through that, but that would cost real money, correct?
21:56It does.
21:57The deduction that was put on back in 2017 on the state and local income tax basically was a trillion dollars.
22:05That was the pay for.
22:07That's very large.
22:08That was used to drive down lower tax brackets for every single American.
22:13Well, Congressman Hakeem Jeffries says something dire will happen if this bill passes.
22:19Watch.
22:20We got a budget that's in front of us that is trying to enact the largest Medicaid cut in American history.
22:28People will die if this budget is successful.
22:33That's how urgent the fight is.
22:35This budget is unacceptable.
22:39It's unconscionable.
22:41It's un-American.
22:42No specifics there, but how are people dying?
22:46Well, all I have to say is the Democrat Party is completely out of touch with reality, Laura.
22:52If we don't pass this bill, Americans will face the largest tax increase in the history of America.
22:58The child tax credit, which is something that he says he supports, gets slashed in half from $2,000 to $1,000.
23:03The guaranteed deduction, which 91% of all Americans use to file their taxes, that gets slashed in half.
23:09Congressman, how do we afford another trillion for the military, which I heard about today at the cabinet meeting?
23:14That's a lot of money.
23:15We're spending, we're still spending, I know we want to upgrade our military, but that costs real dough when we have $1.3 trillion in interest payments on the debt.
23:23That's a lot of money, but there will not be a trillion dollars in military funding within this big, beautiful bill that the president's wanting to deliver.
23:32There will be some military funding.
23:34I think it's about $150 billion is what passed out of the Armed Services Committee in the House.
23:39But a trillion is real dollars.
23:41Over time, they want to increase the spending.
23:43Congressman, great to see you.
23:45We're going to be watching.
23:45Thank you very much.
23:46I'm afraid.
23:50Those are the exact words Kilmar Abrego Garcia's wife used when she tried to get a second protective order against the Democrats' new action hero.
23:59This story keeps getting worse.
24:01Here with all the disturbing details is Fox News senior correspondent Kevin Cork.
24:05Kevin.
24:06This is just sickening.
24:07If you think about what this poor woman has been through, and yet people are out there championing this guy,
24:12Fox has obtained a second protective order filed against the so-called Maryland man, Kilmar Abrego Garcia, an illegal alien from El Salvador.
24:21By the way, this is the second order filed by his wife.
24:24This one happening back in 2020.
24:26Now, in it, she accused him of physical abuse, threatening her, even claimed to have a recording where he allegedly says he'd kill her and nobody could do anything to him.
24:36Now, this was a year before she filed another protective order against him in which she accused him of being a repeat wife beater and said she has videos of his violence and claimed she's afraid even to be around the guy.
24:50So, to be clear, the man in the media, the Democrats have been hailing as Joel, he's just a Maryland man, who was separated from his family when he was deported back to El Salvador, break out the small violins.
25:03Well, this is on that guy's rap sheet.
25:06Illegal alien, alleged MS-13 gang member, again, reaffirmed by an immigration court by a judge, accused of being a repeat domestic abuser by his own wife multiple times.
25:17Oh, yeah, and while we're at it, also suspected of human trafficking in Tennessee while driving a convicted human trafficker's vehicle with at least eight people in it and no luggage, allegedly going from Texas to Maryland.
25:30That's the guy.
25:31Now, for what it's worth, today, the Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, reiterated the administration's position that Garcia's fate is in the hands of the executive branch, not the courts.
25:41And he refused to say if efforts were being made to bring him back to this country, which, by the way, Laura, even if the guy came back, as you have pointed out, Stephen Miller and others have said, he'd just get sent right back out anyway.
25:56Think about the Democrats trying to reconnect with middle America.
26:01And this is the poster boy for doing it.
26:04It makes no sense whatsoever.
26:07Absolutely.
26:08But thank you for that update.
26:09Unbelievable.
26:10Kevin, thank you.
26:11All right.
26:12Of course, none of this matters to the radicals on the bench who've made it their mission to protect illegals instead of following the law.
26:20Radical judges are still putting illegals first.
26:23But the Trump administration has put up with any of this and warned early on that if you interfere with the lawful actions of ICE officers, you will be prosecuted.
26:33But apparently far left Milwaukee judge Hannah Dugan thought Tom Homan was kidding and now she's been temporarily relieved of her official duties.
26:43So shucks by the Wisconsin Supreme Court after she allegedly snuck an illegal alien out the back door to evade ICE.
26:51But in solidarity with Dugan, her sister in robes, Judge Monica Isham, is threatening not to hold court in protest.
26:59What a great way to remove radicals from the bench.
27:02What a great way to remove radicals from the bench.
27:02They're self-deporting.
27:05Here to discuss David Schoen, former Trump impeachment attorney.
27:08David, I mean, this is all this is all day we've gotten great news.
27:12OK, now they're they're closing their courtroom so they can they will stop upending the law.
27:18But to be to be less than humorous here, how many illegals do you think these radical judges have actually helped to escape over the years?
27:27You think of what they've done to they did to John Eastman in California, disbarring him, a total injustice.
27:33But these are clear cut cases for disbarment, are they not?
27:37Yeah. And the hypocrisy behind this is really startling.
27:40Can you imagine? I mean, we hear from Democrats calling for, you know, the rule of law and constitutional crisis and so on.
27:46But they're all based on a policy agenda.
27:49Here we have lawless judges.
27:51Literally, they may feel compassion for some illegal immigrant or something like that.
27:55They're entitled to personally.
27:56But to have someone go out the back door to evade law enforcement officers for a lawful arrest.
28:02It's shocking. We have statutes on deportability here.
28:06The statutes are being applied.
28:08They're the law of the land.
28:09You know, I have to say this.
28:10I mean, Justice Jackson said it best probably in 1949, the case Terminiello versus the city of Chicago.
28:15We run a risk of turning the Bill of Rights into a suicide pact.
28:19He said the choice isn't between order and liberty.
28:22It's between liberty without order and anarchy without either.
28:26And that's the risk here when we pick and choose which policies we're going to enforce and not enforce and help people evade.
28:33The Bill of Rights is key.
28:35I've been a civil rights lawyer for decades.
28:37I represented the ACLU's interests in Alabama for over 20 years, both ends of the spectrum, when they were the real ACLU.
28:43So everybody ought to be in favor of civil rights, but not lawlessness.
28:48Now, David, I also have to ask you about comments that President Trump made last night about Kilmer Abrego Garcia.
28:54Watch.
28:55The order from the Supreme Court stands, sir.
28:57You came into our country illegally.
28:59You could get him back.
29:00There's a phone on this desk.
29:01I could.
29:02You could call up the president of El Salvador and say, send him back.
29:04Right now.
29:05And if he were the gentleman that you say he is, I would do that.
29:08But the court has ordered you to facilitate that.
29:12David, do you think what the president said will be used by the other side and perhaps hurt or compromise the administration's case?
29:23The other side will certainly try to use it.
29:26I think what President Trump meant is he has a good relationship with the head of El Salvador and so on.
29:32But he also respects their sovereignty.
29:34This person was sent there.
29:36He is trying to facilitate, I think, his return.
29:39He can't force it.
29:40But what you said earlier in the piece is absolutely correct.
29:42This person will be deportable and deported if he were to come back.
29:47President Trump has made it clear he will not defy court orders.
29:51He has said great things about the Supreme Court and so on.
29:54But he will also exercise his executive power.
29:57Well, the problem here is that an individual at the Justice Department who was rushing this case, I think, said, oh, we made an error in putting him on the plane.
30:08Right.
30:08Because of his supposed fear of persecution against some street gang that no longer exists.
30:14So that that set this whole ball rolling, did it not, David?
30:19And that's why the court ultimately said, well, OK, you guys admitted you didn't should also try to facilitate.
30:25But that's what happened.
30:26Absolutely.
30:27He shot from the hip, quite frankly.
30:29The lawyer didn't know what he was doing.
30:31He was transferred out of that particular position, I understand.
30:34Yeah.
30:34So, yeah.
30:36I'm sorry.
30:36So.
