00:00All right, we were trying to help out Tim this morning on the Second Date Update.
00:02We don't have a whole lot of information about this because Tim met Michelle kind of briefly at American Social.
00:10They did exchange numbers.
00:12She said, let's hang out.
00:13And he's been trying to hang out, but has gotten no response from her since then.
00:18I was thinking maybe she gave him a fake number, but we obviously got a hold of her.
00:21So it's her right number.
00:23And we got her on the phone.
00:24Yes.
00:24So we have her on hold right now.
00:25I want to bring her on.
00:26Michelle, you there?
00:28Yeah, I'm here.
00:29Okay, Michelle, thank you for agreeing to talk to us this morning.
00:32I do appreciate that.
00:33And this is about what you just heard us talking.
00:36It's about Tim, the guy you met at American Social.
00:39You guys exchanged phone numbers.
00:41I guess he's reached out and tried to hang out with you, but hasn't really heard anything back.
00:46And it sounded like you were interested when you guys met, but why not set up a date with him?
00:51Yeah.
00:51Well, okay.
00:52First off, we can't be calling him Tim because that's not his real name.
00:56His real name is Michael.
00:58Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa.
01:00Whoa.
01:00Hi.
01:01Hello, Michelle.
01:02Oh, okay.
01:03Tim.
01:04I mean, is it Michael or is it Tim?
01:08Okay.
01:09Let me explain.
01:10Let me explain first.
01:12Oh, by the way, real quick.
01:13Michelle, that is the guy you met at American Social.
01:16We think it's Tim and or Michael.
01:18Go ahead, Michael.
01:19Sorry.
01:20Or Tim.
01:20I don't know.
01:21Okay, yes.
01:23My name is Michael.
01:26That's all I'm going to say.
01:29I didn't.
01:29Okay.
01:30I give out the fake name.
01:33That sounds so harsh.
01:35It's more of a pseudonym, I guess I'd say.
01:37But I come from a pretty prominent family.
01:42If I said my last name, everybody would definitely know the family I'm from.
01:46So I really just kind of like to keep that private because in the past when I've told people
01:51who I am, when they know who I am, who my family is, I come from, then I come from,
01:54I got some money with the family, then people act differently, people treat me differently.
02:00I totally get that.
02:01Yeah, yeah.
02:02What, is this Phil?
02:02No, not my family, but I'm just, I understand why he would, I give fake names all the time.
02:08I don't want anybody knowing my name.
02:10Oh, I didn't know that.
02:11Okay.
02:11This is a first.
02:12Okay.
02:12Sorry.
02:13Go ahead.
02:13So it is Michael then, right?
02:16Yeah.
02:16Yeah.
02:17It's Michael.
02:17And you do this to protect yourself because you think people would be more after what
02:22your family has and what your family's last name is versus what you're about.
02:27Right.
02:28And they try to get, you know, it goes south a lot.
02:31You know, people ask for money, people ask for connections, that kind of thing.
02:35It's just not, and I'm just trying to meet people and just trying to be a normal guy,
02:40you know?
02:40Okay.
02:41I'm kind of curious, Michelle, how did you figure this out?
02:44Yeah.
02:45I found out through your friends, you left and then like, they just straight up told
02:50me like, his name's actually Michael.
02:52And I was like, well, why would he do that?
02:54And they're like, oh, his family, like, you know, they have like money or they have status.
03:00So, and I just like, honestly, I don't care about your family and like who they are.
03:05I think it's really creepy that you do that.
03:06Well, if, if, if you would care if you knew the family, if you knew who my family was,
03:11but I, I can, I promise.
03:12Who's your family?
03:13I want to know.
03:14I don't know.
03:15No, I'm not, not, we're not getting into that.
03:17That would absolutely kill me.
03:18Okay.
03:18I'm not doing that.
03:19All right.
03:20Let's not do that.
03:21No.
03:21But I, I, Michelle, I, I promise I can explain, you know, if, if we go out again,
03:26I can explain it.
03:27It'll make sense.
03:28You understand.
03:29I promise.
03:30Well, I mean, I mean, say this, Michael, but did Michelle, did his friends explain all
03:36that?
03:36Did they tell you all who his family is or did they keep it vague for you?
03:40No, they didn't really explain.
03:42Like, and now I'm here getting explained to me on the radio.
03:46Like, it just is a big lie.
03:48And once you're willing to lie once to me, like, you're going to definitely lie again.
03:52Oh, I promise.
03:54I won't be lying again.
03:55I, I, I know that this looks bad.
03:57I know that this is rough, but I, I, it wasn't the best idea, but I, I promise it'll make
04:02sense.
04:03Michelle, he lied because he has money.
04:06Lana, come on.
04:07We're looking for love here.
04:10Michelle, would you be willing to give, uh, Michael, uh, an opportunity to at least hang
04:15out and explain himself?
04:17You know, I, I really have no questions for this guy.
04:20This was misleading.
04:22You should have just felt like told me straight up, you know, don't.
04:25Like, wait till, how long are you going to wait until telling me what your actual name
04:29was?
04:30Well, maybe after a couple of dates or so, once we know that, uh, you know, it's for
04:34real.
04:34Once I know that we make a genuine connection, like I thought we had.
04:38I don't know.
04:39It's honestly for me, a deal breaker.
04:41You get one chance with me and you lied on the first impression.
04:44So I, I just, I don't see this going anywhere.
04:47Okay.
04:48Wow.
04:49You won't want to go out with them again?
04:50They haven't even gone out yet.
04:52Well, I mean, yeah, go out with them at all.
04:54Really?
04:54You should go out with them.
04:56No, I just, I, I can't believe somebody would do this.
04:59This is so weird.
05:00Like, just give me your name.
05:02Like, I don't really, I think it's a little bit like egotistical to think I would care.
05:06Just give me your real name.
05:08Well, I don't think Michael's going to do that on the air.
05:10No.
05:10Um, so Michael, um, I guess if you've, I mean, she says she doesn't want to go on another
05:15date or go on a date at all.
05:17Um, but I guess if you want to send her a text and explain, maybe she'll be more receptive
05:21that way, but, uh, it doesn't look like it's going to happen right now.
05:24Yeah, I guess so.
05:26I might try to text you, Michelle, and maybe fill you in a little bit more.
05:29Maybe you'll understand.
05:30Uh, I appreciate you guys being on my side.
05:32Thank you, Lana.
05:34You're welcome.
05:35I was trying, man.
05:36All right.
05:37She's missing out.
05:38She's missing out.
05:39All right.
05:39Michelle, thank you for your time this morning.
05:41All right.
05:41Thank you, everyone.
05:42All right.
05:43See ya.
05:43I, who cares?
05:45So the guy was just changed his name because he wanted, he wanted her to like him for him,
05:49not who he was.
05:50Yeah.
05:51He must've had a very bad experience if he's doing this out in public, you know, because
05:54that's going to be a hard sell to anybody like, Hey, by the way, name's not Tim.
05:59It's actually Michael.
06:01Well, how many women only date people because of their money?
06:04Well, it does happen.
06:05I guess he's trying to protect himself in a way.
06:08Uh, but she found it creepy.
06:09How do you see this?
06:10800-992-1099.
06:13800-992-1099.
