00:00So, Will, looking at Liverpool's fixtures, obviously we mentioned this tough run and they've come through with sort of flying colours.
00:08How do you sort of reflect on it? How are fans feeling about it?
00:11You know, the gap that they've got at the top of the Premier League is starting to just get wider with Manchester City and Arsenal making a few errors as well.
00:21Yeah, I think everyone has made a point that Liverpool's fixture list from the last international break to the one that's upon us now was very difficult.
00:32You know, when Liverpool had this start to the season under Arnaud Slot, there was a tractor saying, well, they haven't played anyone yet.
00:39And to be fair to Arnaud Slot as well, he said it a couple of times in his press conference that a lot of the teams that he'd played were down the bottom end of the table.
00:48But from, as I say, from the last international break to this one, they've played Chelsea, they've beaten them.
00:55They've beaten the German champions, Bayer Leverkusen and RB Leipzig who were flying in the Bundesliga, Brighton twice.
01:04You know, we've seen what Brighton did to Manchester City at the weekend and they've beaten Aston Villa as well, fairly comfortably at Anfield.
01:11And the only point that they have dropped was a 2-2 draw at Arsenal, which I don't think that's a bad result at all, is it?
01:18Drawing away your title arrivals when you probably weren't your best half, especially in the first half of that game.
01:25So, I suppose they've got some tricky fixtures after the next international break, Manchester City, Newcastle to come and the Merseyside derby.
01:35Liverpool have certainly shown that they can compete with any team in the Premier League, any team in Europe.
01:42I think they will have a wobble at one stage a little bit. It always happens to any team.
01:51They maybe really can't pick up wins for a couple of weeks, but it's about how Liverpool can quickly bounce back after that.
01:59What Arnold Slotkin can do, but Liverpool fans are going into every game now believing that they can win it,
02:05especially when they're going to be playing Real Madrid and Manchester City when the season recommences after the international break.
02:12Well, also on that, you know, six goals conceded, by far the least goals conceded in the league as well.
02:20This is something that must be really charging, their sort of fluent attack.
02:25Obviously, we mentioned it's a bit more of a steady approach under Arnie Slott.
02:29It's all sort of coming together, it seems, at the right time.
02:32I know it's obviously early on, but the fans must be so excited.
02:36Yeah, they are. I mean, there's a perfect balance really.
02:39There's a real steadfast defence there.
02:44Liverpool not looking like they can concede an awful lot of goals against Aston Villa.
02:50The two big chances came from set-pieces, and we know that Aston Villa are very threatening set-pieces.
02:55Sometimes you've just got to hold your hands up, and you've got to rely on your goalkeeper, which this is with Kevin Callaghan.
03:01Going forwards, the devastating under-break countered Aston Villa so many times.
03:08Mo Salah was such a threat in the first half, and then he came alive towards the end of the game as well.
03:14Those attacking options with Diogo Diotta out injured when he gets back fit, and if you can get Federico Chiesa up to speed,
03:20that's six top-quality attackers there that can hurt any team in the midfield as well.
03:27Maybe it's a body light, but the midfield has functioned really, really well this season.
03:35Ryan Gravenberg stepping up, and Alexis McCallister has gone about his business quickly,
03:39and Curtis Jones has started to make that No. 10 role his own.
03:44Maybe in January, he might look to address the midfield.
03:47Obviously, he wanted Super Mendy in the summer, and did he still want to add to the engine room?
03:54But overall, there's a real good mix, and I think that's why confidence has grown among supporters.
