Players who could shine at Liverpool under Arne Slot

00:00What sort of players do you see thriving under Arnie Slott, is there any that spring to mind

00:06that could possibly have an incredible breakthrough?

00:09It would be interesting to see how Harvey Elliott developed. Obviously, it's not a breakthrough,

00:16he's been around the season for the first team for a long time, but he's not quite nailed

00:22down the starting spots towards the end of last season. He did, and Jürgen Klopp said

00:26his biggest regret, maybe, is not playing Harvey Elliott. If he really stamps his authority,

00:33he's got a chance, hasn't he, from the first day of pre-season, he'll be there and he could

00:37potentially thrust his way into the starting XI.

00:40And then you look at, maybe, I'm interested to see how a youngster called Lou Chambers

00:45gets on, because Conor Bradley was fantastic last season, he'll obviously still be deputy

00:51to Trent Alexander-Arnold, but is there a chance for Lou Chambers, who has a really

00:54good loan spell at Wigan, to come and maybe be a deputy to Andy Robertson, potentially?

01:00Because Costa Simacas, he's the number two at the minute, but I'm not saying he's kicked

01:08on because he hasn't had regular chances, but we weren't even making the matchday squads

01:12towards the end of last season because of the injury list. Do you maybe look at that

01:16and think, maybe it's time to give a younger player a go?

01:19Yeah, and then you've got, obviously, the likes of Ben Doak, who've been injured for

01:23a long time as well, and he'll be, maybe, hoping he can get minutes with Mo Salah, not

01:30having any other real competitors for that right wing-back.

01:33And Sefa Mbasetic as well, who'll be there from day one of pre-season, who was fantastic

01:37in the 20s, just had injuries last term in Liverpool, didn't rush him back because of

01:44the nature of his injuries, I think, and his age.

01:47Again, there's not a lot of defensive midfielders at the club, only with Taro Endo as the out-and-out

01:51option, so there's a chance for Sefa Mbasetic as well.
