00:00Let's look at Darwin Nunes and maybe let's take a first look at, you know, a bit more
00:06timelessly his Liverpool career. Obviously, he's played a lot of games under Jurgen Klopp
00:12specifically. You know, the fans maybe sort of expected more of those comparisons to Luis
00:17Suarez when he first came in. What have you sort of made of his Liverpool career and how
00:24has he adjusted to Arnish slot? But, you know, just start with how he's sort of been received
00:29at the club so far? I think his performance against Aston Villa was almost the microcosm
00:37of his Liverpool career. You know, he scores a real good goal but he misses a couple more
00:42chances as well. Easier chances potentially. One where he goes through one-on-one and the
00:49header in the second half and he's teased up by Andy Robertson. It's been up and down.
00:54I think everyone would agree that there have been some unbelievable moments from Darwin
01:00Nunes. He's a handful for any defence when he's at the top of his game. He can cause
01:09chaos but he can be frustrating as well. But I think this season what Liverpool fans have
01:15appreciated more is his defensive work has stepped up. There's been so many times when
01:19he's dropped back and put the opposition under pressure rather than maybe staying on
01:26the final defender's shoulder. He's putting it in for the team and then obviously that
01:30means he's got to get up the pitch quicker then. I mean there's one moment in the Aston
01:34Villa game I remember when he was at and it almost was a sentiment fielder because Curtis
01:39Jones had gone and pressed and Darwin Nunes sort of thought, right I need to go in and
01:43drop in here otherwise we're going to be exposed. So he looks like he's maturing.
01:50But if you're judging Diogo Diotta's performances this season and Darwin Nunes' you're probably
01:56going to say that Diotta's just shaded it. But I think Arnaud Slob will have to protect
02:03Diogo Diotta just because of his injury record. So he just needs, I think he has a bit of
02:08a run of games so far. He's done well. Liverpool have kept on winning but you still think there
02:15can be more to come from. Yeah do you think the sort of main part of his game and a big
02:22positive is that he can play sort of anywhere across that front line. We've seen him have
02:26some amazing performances on the left and he comes inside but it's just the chances
02:31that he constantly tends to miss that sort of overshadow his best work in the Liverpool
02:36shirt. Yeah he can play on the left but he hasn't played there yet. On the slot it's
02:41Luis Diaz and Cody Gappo who've been the options there. So he is seen as a centre
02:46forwards primarily now and I think that's a good thing for him because it probably was
02:51difficult having to go sometimes on the left and that involves different defensive duties
03:00and different attacking duties as well. Whereas when he's playing through the middle I think
03:05you know a sustained run he can barely acclimatise to that. So yeah I think that's a good point
03:10that'll help him settle down a little bit more but I'd say he's still only 25. He arrived raw
03:18and I think Liverpool knew he was arriving raw. So one day he had to try to hone and on the slot
03:25looks like he's doing that.
