00:00Winning the Premier League title changes everything, and for Liverpool, lifting the title under
00:09Schlott in his first season sets a powerful tone.
00:14But success also brings fresh challenges, especially in the transfer market.
00:19There's less urgency to rip things up, but that doesn't mean the Reds will stand still.
00:26That's philosophy is built on fluidity, intensity and positional intelligence.
00:32Expect Liverpool to look for players who fit that vision, even if the headline-grabbing
00:37signings are fewer than in previous summers.
00:42Key areas are still under review.
00:44Depth in defence, another creative midfielder and long-term cover at full-back could be considered.
00:51There's also the question of outgoings. With big-name departures possible, this window will be about balancing evolution with consolidation.
01:02The pressure of being champions means rivals will raise their game.
01:07Schlott and the recruitment team must respond, not just with quality, but with foresight, strengthening for today while preparing for tomorrow.
01:16We spoke to Liverpool World's Will Rooney to break down how winning the league title changes Liverpool's summer and what kind of business fans can expect at Anfield.
01:31In terms of winning the Premier League, obviously a massive summer ahead, it does affect your summer recruitment.
01:38Obviously, some players will look at Liverpool now as well, so maybe Liverpool do have that bit of a bargaining chip saying,
01:44you know, we've won the league, we're going to try and defend our title.
01:48Yes, we want to add some top players to go and get that title again and maybe even push in the Champions League a bit more next season.
01:56But how does it sort of affect the summer recruitment, winning the Premier League?
02:00Obviously, it's a great achievement, but, you know, they've got a bit of a bargaining chip as well, knowing that they have, you know, they are the Premier League champions.
02:09Well, that's it. I mean, what player doesn't want to join the team that are champions?
02:14And as things stand, a favourite is to go and do it again next season.
02:18It might be different how Manchester City go and recruit, how Arsenal go and recruit, etc.
02:23But, look, if you're having a bet now, you'd probably be back in Liverpool to go and do it again.
02:28And as you say, the Champions League was a little bit disappointing.
02:32They only reached their Isles of 16, ran into a very good PSG side who could go on and win the competition.
02:38So they were unlucky there.
02:40The next season, Liverpool will be going into the campaign, trying to create history.
02:45Everybody surpassed Man Utd and going out and out for the most titles won in England.
02:51And that's a big thing because you think of all those titles won under Sir Alex Ferguson,
02:56the Man Utd and Liverpool were left in the way.
03:01And now Liverpool have got a chance, given the issues at Man Utd, to become the dominant force again in England.
03:08Now, I know Man City have obviously been that in recent years.
03:11But, I mean, in terms of clubs of real stature around the globe, you know, Man Utd and Liverpool are right up there.
03:19And why wouldn't you want to be part of this journey?
03:21Why wouldn't you want to come and play for a manager in Arna Slott who has proven himself to have real acumen, real prowess?
03:29And a lot of people doubted him maybe last summer.
03:33Was he going to be the right recruit?
03:35Was there going to be the right appointments?
03:37I mean, even after the Tottenham game himself, he admitted that someone's been looking at it thinking,
03:43it's the right choice.
03:46Because he knew he was an unheralded name.
03:49But he's gone and proven himself leaps, you know, manifold.
03:58So, if you're, say, a striker and Liverpool needs one, why wouldn't you want to go and lead the line for Liverpool?
04:04If you're a left-back, why wouldn't you want to go and play in defence that has been excellent defensively
04:09and you're going to have the licence to get forwards as well?
04:11Why wouldn't you want to go and do that?
04:12It was just pure elation from the moment I arrived at Anfield, even making my way there before I went to the moment I left.
04:22I mean, I left around 10 o'clock-ish.
04:25I don't know, still fireworks going off, still plenty of supporters around the grounds.
04:29So, God knows what time they left.
04:33But it's a feeling they'll want more and more in our fans.
04:37Now they've experienced that, they want to experience it on the regular basis.
