00:00Half human, half god, all new. Here's a look at the brand new McFarlane Toys, McFarlane Toys Digital Berserker.
00:30A war with no end. The man known as B is half mortal and half god, cursed and compelled to violence even at the sacrifice of his sanity.
00:37But after wandering the world for centuries, the berserker man has finally found a refuge, working for the U.S. government to fight the battles too violent and too dangerous for anyone else.
00:46In exchange, B will be granted the one thing he desires, the truth about his endless blood-soaked existence, and how to end it.
00:53Sure, he collects a paycheck, but I'm sure he's more interested in his past.
00:57Before, though, we get a closer look at McFarlane Toys, McFarlane Toys Digital Berserker B.
01:01I'd like to thank the folks over at McFarlane Toys that did provide this sample.
01:04Hey, this figure is slated to drop in May 2025, and it's exclusive to Walmart in the back electronics section.
01:11So if you guys are interested to get this one for yourself, mark it on your calendars at in May.
01:15Go to the electronics section of Walmart, and you'll find Berserker there.
01:18In the meantime, we're certainly going to be finding Berserker right here.
01:20And let's take the tape measure and see how tall the figure stands.
01:23This was also created and written by Keanu Reeves himself.
01:26As probably why you can see he bears a little bit of resemblance to Keanu.
01:30The figure, though, is going to stand at 7 inches in height, making a figure that's about 17 and a half centimeters tall.
01:37I think to say this guy comes with a lot of stuff is a bit of an understatement.
01:40First, Berserker does come included with a card.
01:43The card doesn't really actually say anything other than B down below.
01:46That's actually what he goes by as well.
01:48Really nice illustration, though, and I really like the look of that.
01:50On the back, though, of the card, it gives you a little bit of a read-up of his, well, more of a read-up of his backstory.
01:55His real name, though, is Anute.
01:57Anute.
01:58U-N-U-T-E.
02:00Anute.
02:01The war with no end.
02:02Again, this is all the same read-up I read at the very beginning of this video, so I'm sure I don't really need to read it again.
02:08The card itself, unfortunately, though, getting it out of the plastic.
02:10I noticed, though, it was a little on the more warp side.
02:13I'm going to see if I can put this into my sheet protectors.
02:15And hopefully through that, it'll flatten out the card.
02:18Nice-looking card, though.
02:19Of course, along with this as well, you get yourself the McFarlane Toys Digital card.
02:23Now, it hasn't yet been scratched.
02:25It will be scratched in a second.
02:27Go to www.mtd.gg to download the McFarlane Toys Digital Viewer app for your Mac or PC.
02:33Scratch the above right here to reveal your one-time use code.
02:36Create your account and log in.
02:38Then click on Redeem Code at the left panel of the screen and follow the instructions in the pop-up window.
02:42So, we're not going to do the other steps, certainly, involved, but we'll do at least the first step of scratching this.
02:48I just got myself my nail clippers here.
02:49Let's just scratch away the card.
02:54Just like that.
02:56Let's get it.
02:57Whoa, that's a long code this time around.
03:00Probably, in fact, the longest I think we've gotten.
03:03I want to make sure I scratch at least enough away so you guys can be able to see that.
03:06Can you see that all?
03:07It's a little bit right in the middle.
03:08There you go.
03:09That's for you.
03:10Feel free to redeem that.
03:12So, there's the card.
03:13I have no more use for this card, but I'll put it off to the side anyways.
03:17The figure does also come in clear with the Berserker display stand.
03:20Apparently, though, buying vowels isn't so important when it comes to Berserker.
03:24Spelling it only with B-R-Z-R-K-R or Z if you prefer as well.
03:29The stand itself is obviously the exact same as all the DC Multiverse display stands.
03:33So, as well, can be also found as the little peg that can plug into either one of B's boots.
03:38Move it off to the side.
03:39And then, of course, we have all the many fixings to have a look at, though.
03:43So, it's so funny, actually, how often we talk about the DC Multiverse figures lacking weapons, and yet B comes with an abundance of them.
03:52I find, though, that the actual weapons themselves, maybe what we'll do is, where's the pistol?
03:57Oh, the pistol's actually already holstered on the side of his leg.
03:59Apparently, I didn't take the need to pull that out of his holster.
04:02So, he does come with a pistol, and the pistol seems probably like the most reasonably sized weapon the figure does actually have.
04:07Well, it does technically come with a knife as well.
04:09It can be held in his hand.
04:11It can also be housed on the side of his leg.
04:12We'll just slide it back where we found it.
04:15He does also come included with a knife.
04:18Now, I looked everywhere on the figure.
04:20I couldn't find really a place to store the knife.
04:22I thought, okay, maybe it's somewhere in his...
04:24No, it's not in his vest.
04:25It's not in his belt.
04:26It's not located on the side of his leg.
04:29Normally, when you get, like, a knife like this, which I will also point out the fact that the point has been covered in blood.
04:35Normally, though, when you get a knife like this, there is a place to store the knife.
04:37There really doesn't seem to be a place that I can find.
04:40No, no, no pockets, no holsters on the side.
04:42So, he just basically has himself an extra knife.
04:45Then he has, like I said, a lot of stuff.
04:48So, really, one of the benefits also of getting a figure like this, too, is clearly he's not going to have the capabilities with only just two hands
04:54to hold all the many accessories that he has.
04:57So, you can easily then lend them around to other figures.
05:00Like, for example, the figure does have a Tommy gun.
05:02And thinking right away, this would be an ideal weapon to be displayed with the Silver Age Two-Face.
05:07If you've seen my review of that, hopefully that you have.
05:10I did mention, though, in the review that the figure really did need an accessory,
05:13and I ended up just pulling an accessory from the Mattel DC Universe Classics Two-Face.
05:17I think that would be probably...
05:18This would be maybe a better-suited, sized rifle, a Tommy gun.
05:22And, of course, it does have a lot more paint going for it, as well.
05:25I do notice, though, that the accessories themselves...
05:27I mean, even when you look at, like, the shotgun.
05:29If you look at the shotgun, and then you look at the size of B,
05:32it seems like all the weapons are possibly oversized by just two...
05:36Half of a size bigger, if that makes any sense at all.
05:39I mean, when you get to, really, the big guns, like this one right here,
05:42you look at B's arms, and you look at the gun itself.
05:45I think the guns themselves, perhaps, are maybe a tad bit too big.
05:49These ones also add a lot more weight to them, also, as well.
05:51So, you get a Tommy gun, which, again, we've already had a look at.
05:54You get yourself a shotgun.
05:57No, it doesn't actually do that.
05:58I just made that sound myself.
06:00The back stock, though, is colored in a dark brown.
06:02Well, the majority of it is all cast in a really nice black plastic.
06:07I'm not going to be able to recite all the various weapons.
06:09Some of these, I'm sure, are made up.
06:10The M16, nicely molded again in black plastic.
06:14And don't worry, we'll put some of those into his hands as well.
06:17Uh, S60?
06:19M60?
06:20No, M60?
06:21No, some of you, I'm sure, will tell me down below in the comment section.
06:23Doesn't have a removable clip.
06:24Does have some nice coloring added, though, to it.
06:27And then he also comes included with a grenade launching gun.
06:32It doesn't spin at all, but it's nicely, again, cast in black plastic.
06:36And then you get the big boys.
06:37These ones right here.
06:38And if you have no plans to display them with Berserker B, then I'm sure you probably could
06:42display this maybe with a Spawn or some other figure that really enjoys having heavy
06:47armory weapons like this.
06:50Both of them are actually really cool looking.
06:51This might be, though, my favorite of the two.
06:53It's big, and actually, even just holding it in hand, I've noticed that there's a fair
06:57bit of weight to them.
06:58The problem with putting them into B's hands, though, is that it does add some unnecessary
07:02weight to the figure.
07:03I did, though, notice getting this guy out of the packaging, as I try my best to get this
07:06into his hand.
07:07I did notice that his elbows were a little loose, just a little bit loose.
07:12I'm going to see if I can maybe tighten them up just a little bit.
07:14But you can see, like, how much weight the gun now adds to B's body.
07:18And I don't think he really has the means to properly hold this.
07:20Now, you could cheat, obviously, and just bend the elbow.
07:23That's a cool, that's a really cool pose to have the figure displayed in.
07:26And, of course, you can also do the exact same on the other side as well.
07:29So those are all his weapons.
07:31I think we've covered off the bases rather well for that.
07:34Slide everything out of the way.
07:35The figure does also come and include some swappable limbs.
07:37Wait, did you just say swappable limbs?
07:39Yes, I did.
07:40Outside, of course, the trigger-firing finger hands that he has, the figure also does come
07:44and include a couple of closed fists.
07:47With, really, the offerings that they've given this figure, I can't see why I would ever really
07:51want to display him with closed fists.
07:52But if that's the kind of person that you like to be, be that person that you want to
07:55be and have the figure displayed that way.
07:58He does also come with a much wider gripped hand.
08:00I think ideally suited for holding the knife.
08:03Where did I put the knife?
08:04Where did I put the knife?
08:05Oh, the knife is right over here.
08:06No, it's a little bit too big.
08:08Maybe it's probably better suited for, what would be a good gun for maybe holding this?
08:12The M16?
08:14It holds it, but it holds it a little loose.
08:16So he's got a little bit of a wider gripped hand.
08:19Then he also has a severed arm, which I would imagine is probably not belonging to him.
08:24That's a gruesome looking hand.
08:25And all the arm that's attached to it as well.
08:27Now, there's no posability, so if to go in there and look at, start to twist like the
08:32hand, for example, you can't.
08:33The hand and the arm are all one piece.
08:35The rest of the piece of whatever individual this arm belonged to, MIA, we have no idea
08:39where the rest of this guy's body is.
08:40But it looks gruesome.
08:42And if you don't have any plans to display this with Berserker, I'm sure though, as a
08:46horror collector myself, I could find a place for that arm.
08:49Oh, leave it with me.
08:51Then he also comes included with some swappable arms.
08:53Now, the arms that he has already on the ends of his, well, on the ends of his body, as
08:58you can see, if you look at the two of them, they're very similar, although there's much
09:01more battle damage on these.
09:03The hands are a little bit bloodier.
09:04The wrappings that he has around his wrists, they're also more bloodier, but they're very
09:08similar arms.
09:09The arms themselves are a little harder to swap out the first time you do this.
09:13I've actually had to heat this up with hot water.
09:15I've also used a hairdryer too.
09:17And I've noticed probably the best thing to do is just before, unfortunately, mine has
09:22now since cooled, but just before you plan to remove the arm, even though you probably
09:26have done this a couple of times already, I've now swapped the arms, I want to say like four
09:30times leading up to, of course, the preparation of this review.
09:33I would certainly say though, just for the stubbornness of these ball joints, probably
09:37a good idea just to heat it one more time with a hairdryer every time you go to pull the
09:41arm, because the last thing you certainly would want to do is break the arm.
09:43Um, I'm choosing no to swap out this arm because it's the gorier of the two.
09:48And again, basically all it is, it's just a peg.
09:50When you're popping in the peg though, just want to make sure though that that cup joint,
09:53it's not even so much a cup joint.
09:55It's just basically the part that conceals the peg post here.
09:58And basically just then take yourself the arm, dowel it as best you can back in place.
10:04And obviously you'd be able to just rinse and repeat the steps.
10:06You just do it on this side also as well.
10:09So, okay.
10:10So the figure does also have some swappable face plates.
10:12We'll start with B's alt, uh, default.
10:15I don't want to even say like really his default, his default technically getting him out of
10:18the packaging was this screaming face.
10:19But I think if we wanted to start with one that bears a better likeness to Keanu, I probably
10:23would have gone with this head.
10:24And that's probably one of the, one of the reasons I'm sure we're going with this one
10:27first.
10:27So we have this head sculpt.
10:29It's just a neutral expression.
10:30Then we have a screaming face.
10:32Ah, I'm not really sure what he's, who he's screaming at exactly.
10:36And then he has some swappable heads.
10:37So, but if you want to keep like this head, for example, the way to then swap out the
10:42face plates, you basically just grab the bottom of his face.
10:44Now we've seen this with other DC multiverse figures before.
10:47And then there's a hole right here.
10:48It looks like a one-eyed alien on the back of the faces though.
10:51You want to make sure you got it facing the right way.
10:53There's a peg lining up to the hole.
10:55And when you're putting it in, it has to get underneath his bangs.
10:59So you have to kind of put it up first as far up to the bangs that you can get it and
11:03then plug the face in just like that.
11:07And still it's good looking head.
11:09I think though, if I wasn't going to be displaying this guy in a battle damage look, I probably
11:12would have though beelined it back to bees, this head sculpt.
11:15Not that it's the original one, but I would have defaulted back to this one.
11:18I think instead, good looking face overall.
11:21Very much again, it looks like Keanu Reeves.
11:23Well, it looks obviously like Keanu Reeves, if you've seen him in the comics.
11:26Now, again, like the comics themselves were done by Keanu Reeves.
11:29I think it was Keanu Reeves, Matt Kind, and drawn by Ron Garney.
11:34Remember if it serves me correctly, but you know, really like illustrations are really
11:37neat on this guy.
11:38And obviously it translates pretty well in the plastic as well.
11:41So there's this alternative, is this option available.
11:44But if you want to go all out, then he also comes in clear with these gruesome looking
11:48faces.
11:49I really like this one.
11:51I mean, you can see what's little left of his face on the side.
11:54He's got hair on the other, but just a really cool looking head sculpt.
11:57I like that they've added the panel lining on the top of his forehead.
12:00That looks really cool.
12:02What's also cool too, is this one here that also has now, well, the hair is missing on
12:06both sides and he's certainly a lot gorier.
12:10Still paneling looks really good.
12:11I feel like McFarlane has really had a fun time making this figure, because when you
12:17really think about it, I mean, he's been mandated by the DC Multiverse, DC Comics, that really
12:21obviously can't produce gory looking figures.
12:23So I think he's probably had a bigger blast doing B here.
12:26Nice blood though on the side of his face.
12:28He certainly does look sinister though.
12:30And to change out the heads, by the way, let's just, again, you just grab the head, hold
12:34onto it as hard as you can and just pop it off the ball joint.
12:38That's all that's really required.
12:39It's actually a lot easier to take off the head and swap it than it was to change out
12:42the arms.
12:42Take the new head that you want to use, put a little bit of pressure.
12:46There we go.
12:46And pop it back onto the ball joint.
12:48And that's what then B looks like.
12:50Obviously you can go a little more of the extreme if you really want to.
12:53Maybe I might just end up doing this when we wrap up the review.
12:56I don't know.
12:57For the rest of B's body, he does have himself a SWAT vest on, painted really well.
13:01Of course, he's got the pockets there done in the front in the dark chest
13:04not brown.
13:05The actual pants look really good too.
13:07Now, to look at this figure, I will say one thing.
13:10I think proportionally his head seems like it's a little smaller.
13:13Or maybe it's just the fact his body looks a little longer.
13:16Despite being a lean looking body, I think really overall the figure looks really, really
13:20nice.
13:21This would also be a kind of character I could really see battling like the Walking Dead.
13:26He is though a little, admittingly, loose on some of the joints.
13:29We'll kind of talk more about that in a moment.
13:30But I think overall, like from head to toe, whatever head you decide to display B with,
13:34it's a really well-constructed, well-sculpted, and for all intents and purposes, a really
13:38well-painted figure too.
13:40Now, for B's articulation, going back to his head sculpt, being that it is on a ball joint
13:44and all, it's going to allow the head to rotate all the way around.
13:47You can have B's head looking up and looking down.
13:50And of course, you can also move it back and forth as well.
13:52Arms rotate all the way around.
13:53And I did, again, notice that the arms were a little loose on mine.
13:57You can still pull off successfully a T-pose.
13:59No issues there.
14:00The figure does have a bicep swivel, a double hinge on the elbow, and the hands rotate all
14:04the way around.
14:06The upper torso is on a really decent ball joint.
14:08Despite having really a swat vest over top of it, it doesn't seem to hinder at all the
14:12figure's pose ability.
14:14Berserker's legs also do split out.
14:16Although with the harness, though, the holster he's got on the one side and clearly the one
14:20packing the pistol on the other, you can only go about that far on B's legs.
14:24You can bring him forward, sure enough, and obviously you can bring him back too.
14:27The figure does have a swivel at the top of the thigh, a double hinge on the knee, articulation
14:31down below here.
14:32Nothing here at the top of his boot, because his boot's just one continued sculpt from the
14:36lower end of his leg.
14:37However, though, he does have an ankle pivot up and down, an ankle rocker back and forth,
14:42and the figure does also have some toe articulation as well.
14:45I really like the look of B, and what I really like about Berserker is the fact that you
14:48can mix and match and change with the parts.
14:50We haven't really gotten that often.
14:51I mean, to change out a faceplate seems to be more something that they're starting to
14:54do now with the DC Multiverse figures.
14:56It just makes things more, from a cost standing, I would imagine, a little bit cheaper.
15:00Instead of having to mold an entire head, for example, you're only then swapping out the
15:03faces.
15:04But then B does one better.
15:06The figure does also come and include some full-size swappable heads, and I can certainly
15:10understand why they couldn't have gone the route with the faceplates.
15:12Faceplate swapping wouldn't have really worked when you got his hair completely different.
15:16And of course, he does have them swappable arms.
15:18But I think one of the cool things, though, also about the figure is not just the fact
15:21that he has the mix and match capabilities, but that he also has as much firepower as
15:25he has at disposal as well.
15:27The only thing, again, I would say is to go back and look at the rifles and all the other
15:30armory that he has.
15:31I feel like maybe some of the guns seem a little oversized, especially like the shotgun,
15:36for example.
15:36I'll go ahead and get the shotgun into his hand.
15:40I feel like this probably isn't the first time this has happened.
15:42In fact, I think I've probably commented this a couple of times also when we looked at some
15:45DC multiverse figures back when, of course, they still had, of course, their accessories.
15:50Maybe like the gun seems a little oversized.
15:52I mean, again, when you think of what a sized shotgun would be in some person's hand, I feel
15:56like it probably would have been a little bit smaller than that.
15:58But still, though, the fact that B has as many accessories as he has, things not only can
16:03be swapped out to his body, but also things that can be swapped out when it comes to his
16:06weapons.
16:07And all these weapons, too, when you think of how many he actually has, you start to take
16:10the tally, these weapons could easily be borrowed over to other figures as well.
16:14Like, I've already had kind of an idea in mind to maybe have this guy displayed, or the
16:18Tommy gun displayed with a Silver Age Two-Face.
16:20And you have a couple of Spawns, for example.
16:22Perfect looking guns, I think, to be displayed with Spawn.
16:25All in all, it's a really good looking figure.
16:27Like I said, though, this guy is slated to drop in May 2025.
16:31Anybody looking at their calendar, outdated or otherwise, will know right away that we're
16:35kind of getting into May real fast.
16:36This guy is also going to be a Walmart exclusive, and if you guys are looking for him, he's not
16:41going to be in the action figure department, he's going to be in the electronics department.
16:45An area and department I'm quite familiar with when it comes to Walmart, that usually
16:48tends to be the place that I beeline it back, to beeline it to right away, because that's
16:52the section I usually check out what's new in movies.
16:54Instead, I'm not just going to be beelining it back for new movies, I'm going to be beelining
16:58it back to get B.
16:59If you guys, again, are interested, this one is going to be slated to drop in May.
17:02A great looking figure if you follow the Berserker comics.
17:05I think the fact that you can mix and match the parts and detach his arms and swap them
17:09out for something a little bit more gruesome probably has a lot to do with why I like B
17:13so much.
17:14The figure has some pretty cool details just out of the box alone, but I think the thing's
17:18selling point is the fact that you can change out his head sculpt with three other various
17:22looks, and that you can also detach his arms and swap them out with something a little
17:26bit more mangled.
17:27The thing about it, though, is while the heads are pretty simple to change, the face plate's
17:30even easier.
17:31Changing out the arms, though, I would certainly say, try doing it on its own.
17:34You're going to have a little more of a struggle.
17:36Heating it, though, first is probably your best way to go, and even when I heated it
17:40prior to hitting record, I still went back and heated it again just before I hit record,
17:45and then sure enough, the plastic on the arms started to cool down.
17:49Popping out the arms and swapping them out can be a little bit more frustrating, but certainly,
17:53though, the end result, the payoff, though, is the fact that the figure looks pretty cool
17:57and pretty gruesome looking, too.
17:59Now, the figure does have quite a lot of accessories, as certainly we've covered in this review.
18:03So many weapons, I mean, there's more than what he would really even need, though the
18:07weapons, I will say, in many of the cases actually seem a little oversized.
18:11I mean, like the one that he has right now in his hand that's bent, not the shotgun, the
18:14other one, is a big gun, but I think because it's such an oversized gun anyways, I think
18:19I can get behind that that one's going to be bigger.
18:22But things like you look at the shotgun, you look at the M16, I feel like maybe they need
18:26to be a little bit smaller than what they actually are, but I love the idea that we actually
18:29have ourselves guns, I kind of feel like I've been in withdrawal, like we haven't gotten
18:33them for the longest times when it comes to DC multiverse figures, and then there's been
18:37characters that we've looked at lately, like the Silver Age Two-Face, for example, where
18:40he just, he needed really to have a Tommy gun.
18:42Well, now we have a Tommy gun, courtesy of B.
18:45Again, a big thank you to the folks over at McFarlane Toys that did provide this sample.
18:49Keanu Reeves' idea, well, he was responsible for it.
18:52He also helped write it as well.
18:54This was the new McFarlane Toys, McFarlane Digital Berserker B, which again is slated to drop
18:58in May. What do you guys think of this figure?
19:00Let me know down below in the comments section, worth the pickup or possibly a pass?
