00:00On today's show, a massive day for my first guest Neil who has spent years looking for
00:05his biological father.
00:06He takes the plunge to phone this show.
00:09We have a duty of care and that meant that we had to give him the devastating news that
00:12his father had sadly passed.
00:16I emailed the show and in two days he turned around me and said they've found my birth
00:22dad.
00:23But then sadly he passed around January and now I've got two half sisters.
00:29These are diametrically opposed opinions.
00:32One saying your dad was a great man, one was saying he was no man whatsoever.
00:38It was amazing, talking on holiday every year.
00:41I'm here to defend him today.
00:43He was a useless dad to me, it was horrible to me, I hated him so much.
00:46Why was he horrible to you?
00:48Because he wasn't there for us!
00:52Peter is here to meet his father Douglas for the very first time.
00:55He says that Douglas abandoned him over 30 years ago.
00:57You taught me how to shave, Doug, my granddad.
01:00He was there for me, my granddad.
01:02Where were you, you lazy bum?
01:04You knew where we lived, you knew we were at my nan and granddad's, you knew it, Doug.
01:10So why didn't you bother?
01:15Hello, my friends.
01:16Good morning and a big, big welcome to the show.
01:21It is a massive day for my first guest, Neil, who has spent years looking for his biological
01:38father, only to find out just two days ago he'd sadly passed away.
01:42However, big news.
01:43We've managed to track down his half-sister and his stepsister, Neil, desperate to meet
01:48them both.
01:49This guy literally needs some understanding of where he came from.
01:52Both of these sisters with very different stories.
01:54But first, and I'm going to go to one of the green rooms, because this guy, just imagine
01:59being, I mean, he's 31 years of age.
02:02He'd never met his parents.
02:04He takes the plunge to phone this show.
02:06We have a duty of care, and that meant that we had to give him the devastating news that
02:10his father had sadly passed.
02:13We then let him know that there's other people from the wider family.
02:16And I would reckon all of it's a big shock, me old son.
02:19How are you?
02:20Fine.
02:21Thank you, is the first thing I want to say.
02:25Appreciate you being here.
02:27When you sat down and thought, actually, I must phone the Kyle show, how much did it
02:34take to do that?
02:36Well, basically, I've been searching since I was about 18, and...
02:43Growing up, what were you told?
02:44You need to speak up a bit.
02:45Growing up, what were you told?
02:46A lot of things, really, that I was put into care, at a young age, for my own safety.
02:52And I've been tracking, trying to track my step birth dad down.
02:58No luck?
02:59No luck.
03:00And then, because I watched Jeremy Kyle, I emailed them, and then...
03:04Why now, though?
03:05This is my question to you, Neil.
03:06I know this is difficult, and I don't expect, and I've said it on many occasions, and I'd like
03:10the audience to understand this, both here and at home.
03:12It's very easy for us to do this every day.
03:14When it is so raw, your life, I just...
03:18I understand how difficult it is, but why now?
03:2131?
03:22Why not two years ago?
03:24Why not five years ago?
03:26Why now?
03:27Well, I have been searching for years, but come up at a dead end, and I've always wondered what my birth family are doing, what they're up to.
03:37Devastation when you discovered from us that your dad had passed.
03:39Then I emailed the show, and within two days, they turned around to me and said they found my birth dad.
03:47But then, sadly, he passed away in January, and I've got two half-sisters.
03:53I understood this line more than anything.
03:55Did he ever think of me?
03:56Did he ever try and find me?
03:57There are many, many questions that you have.
04:00What you need to know is that, you know, I know you had a great upbringing from your adoptive parents, but I also understand that many people quite rightly want to fill in the gaps.
04:11The interesting thing about this story, and I'm going to be totally straight with you, is that there are two very different sides to this story.
04:21Now, one of the easiest things for us to do is to trace a family member, put people back together, and we wouldn't be naive enough to assume that it's always going to work out.
04:30This is, I mean, these are diametrically opposed opinions.
04:34One saying your dad was a great man, one was saying he was no man whatsoever.
04:38Yeah.
04:39And, interestingly, so you're aware, the stepdaughter Joanne, the one who has no blood from your father, she says he was an absolute diamond.
04:51His biological daughter said he was a waste of space.
04:53I am duty-bound to tell you the truth.
04:56What I would like you to do is sit here, I'm going to interview those two, and then we'll bring you together. Is that okay?
05:02Okay.
05:03You sure?
05:04Yeah.
05:05Really appreciate you doing this, mate.
05:06Thank you very much indeed.
05:07Give me a round of applause.
05:09Right.
05:10So, let's go with that.
05:12So, there's a guy, 31 years of age, did not know his biological father, found out just from this show two days ago that this man had passed.
05:23As I said, this is a pretty rare story for us.
05:27Two completely different views.
05:29First up today is Joanne, um, stepsister to Neil.
05:32Um, this guy, his father was her stepfather.
05:35She'll tell you, best man in the world.
05:37Joanne's on the Jeremy Kyle Show that way.
05:38Can I start with your story to fill in the gaps?
05:51Um, did you hear Neil talking then?
05:53Yeah, I did, yeah.
05:54I mean, one has to have sympathy.
05:55He's the same age as you.
05:56He never knew his father.
05:57Yeah, I have got sympathy for him.
05:59Phil came into your life at the age of 11?
06:01Yeah.
06:02Because you got with your mum?
06:03Yeah.
06:04You say he was fantastic.
06:05Yeah.
06:06You always called him Dad.
06:07You smile when you see that picture.
06:09Yeah.
06:10Um, you say he treated your son as his own.
06:12Oh, he did, yeah.
06:13My oldest lad, yeah.
06:14So, he was like a granddad?
06:15Yeah, to four.
06:17He was, um, amazing.
06:19Took us on holiday every year.
06:21Brilliant.
06:22He'd had his faults, like every dad does.
06:23He don't come with a manual.
06:24But I'm here to defend him today.
06:26And Tony...
06:27Defend him against what?
06:28Against Bethany, his daughter.
06:29Why would you need to do that?
06:31Because she's making him out to be somebody he's not.
06:33He's not a bad dad.
06:34Yeah, because he's not even been in my life.
06:36He's been a particularly appalling husband, though, hasn't he?
06:38And father.
06:39I don't know.
06:40You are not bi...
06:41I'm going to be totally straight with you.
06:42Yeah, you can't.
06:43I'll do this, be quiet.
06:44Not biologically linked to him.
06:45Absolutely have an understanding.
06:46Your mother...
06:47Right, what's your mother called?
06:48Hillary.
06:49Right, your mother gave us a statement.
06:51And in all the time I've done the Jeremy Carr show,
06:53I fell off my chair.
06:54This is what your mother said.
06:55I was married to Philip for 25 years.
06:57Although he wasn't Joanne's biological father,
06:59he brought her up as his own.
07:01He was a great dad and a great husband.
07:03He knew about his other kids,
07:04but he never tried to look for them
07:06as he was happy with me and Joanne.
07:09Philip received a letter from an adoption agency a few years ago,
07:12presumably about Neil,
07:13but he didn't get round to contacting them.
07:15I don't know about that.
07:16We always knew about Bethany and Sophie,
07:18but frankly, my husband wasn't interested in a relationship
07:20with either of them.
07:21With the greatest of respect, you're here to defend him.
07:24How can you defend a man?
07:26Bethany, Neil, Sophie, but three,
07:29have had no relationship with a bloke
07:31because he's more interested in his new family
07:33and hasn't given a damn about his feet.
07:34Come on.
07:37I'm not here to defend his past.
07:39Well, come on.
07:40I'm not here to defend his past.
07:41How do you think it sounds to them?
07:43Well, whatever he did in his past...
07:44Good dad, he was an awful dad.
07:46Probably to them, but not to me.
07:48He was really...
07:49But you say, I'm angry with Bethany.
07:50I'm angry with Bethany.
07:51I get that...
07:52I am.
07:53I'm angry with her because...
07:54Why?
07:55She was two days old or something when Phil left,
07:56my dad left.
07:57So how does she know what my dad was like?
08:00Well, I would think the point is she doesn't
08:03and she feels she should have known.
08:05She was offered it.
08:06He paid CSA.
08:07He paid £22,000 to CSA.
08:09Well, get you after the break to stay there.
08:11If you were her, would you understand...
08:13Wait.
08:14Leave the picture, Matt.
08:15Would you understand her frustration?
08:17Yeah.
08:18You told my team he paid for those children?
08:20He did, yeah.
08:21What?
08:22£22,000 CSA.
08:23Every year.
08:24He went to work, so did my mum, and paid CSA.
08:26And you told my team to balance it out.
08:28The minute it was stopped at 18, they came looking for him
08:31because all they are are money grabbers.
08:33Does anybody stop and think they might have just wanted a relationship
08:35with their father?
08:36They came round to my mum's.
08:37My mum said, are you all right?
08:40And she said, yeah, can I speak to my dad?
08:42He's not here.
08:43He's at work at the minute.
08:44Can I have his phone number?
08:45My mum said, what for?
08:46Because I want to borrow some money off him.
08:48So Bethany and Neil had no relationship with him.
08:51No.
08:52Because he was more happy with you and your child.
08:53Neil's in there.
08:54We've seen her.
08:55Sophie can't be here today.
08:56Beth's sister, right?
08:57Beth and I grew up not knowing our dad.
08:59He walked out on us when we were kids.
09:01He was violent towards our mum.
09:02She got proof of that.
09:03Our dad knew about Neil.
09:04He received a letter from the adoption agency, but he didn't do anything about it.
09:07I don't like Joanne.
09:08We never got on.
09:09It annoys me that our dad was there for her and didn't bother with us.
09:13I feel like he never loved or cared about us.
09:16You sort of get that.
09:17Yeah, I get it.
09:18But at the end of the day, that's before he met my mum.
09:22Thank you so much.
09:23After the break, Bethany's on this stage.
09:25Don't get it.
09:27It was a useless dad to me.
09:28It was horrible to me.
09:29I hated him so much.
09:30Why was he horrible to you?
09:31Because he wasn't there for her!
09:34Do you think you're being lied to?
09:40Do you have evidence to prove it, like home videos, recordings or texts that you want
09:44to confront someone with?
09:46If you're 18 or over and you'd like to be considered for the show, email talk at ITV.com
09:50along with your number.
09:51Text TALK plus your name to 63334.
09:54Text cost 25 pence plus one standard rate message.
09:57Or you can call my team today.
09:58It's 09011.
09:59It's 123456.
10:01Course cost 25 pence plus network access charge.
10:13Welcome back before the break, talking to Joanne.
10:15Do you understand what I'm saying?
10:16I'm not having a go at you almost.
10:17Yeah, I understand.
10:18I understand what you're saying.
10:19Bethany didn't know that he'd died.
10:21He did.
10:22She did.
10:23Neil got left in care.
10:24Sophie had nothing.
10:25You're getting all of this, which is unfair.
10:27You're here defending his honour.
10:28It fills in your life 25 years.
10:30But you can't.
10:31Put the boot on the other foot.
10:32Be Bethany right now.
10:34Bethany knew that my dad had died.
10:36She knew.
10:37Bethany's on the Jeremy Kyle Show.
10:39Give her a round of applause.
10:40How did I know?
10:44How?
10:45How?
10:46How did I know that he died?
10:47How did I know he died?
10:48How did I know he died?
10:49Right.
10:50I'm not going to shout.
10:51I'm not going to argue with y'all.
10:52I'm not.
10:53I'm only here for Neil.
10:54But I didn't know he died.
10:55He was in the Telegraph for one.
10:56I don't read the Telegraph.
10:57And your mum was told.
10:58No, she was in the Telegraph.
10:59Let's cut to the chase.
11:00Bethany, welcome to the show.
11:01I'm excited to meet my half-brother, but I don't know why Joanne's here.
11:04They're not even damn related.
11:05She's had everything I never had.
11:07That's what you told us.
11:08Yeah.
11:09Tell us.
11:10Yeah, see.
11:11Two days old, my dad walked out on me in the hospital.
11:14Never saw nothing of him whatsoever.
11:16I find out he gets with Hillary and then Joanne, which, obviously, his relationship.
11:22I'm not bothered about it.
11:23But then I find out...
11:24Have you tried to have contact with him or did you when he was alive?
11:26No, I don't want nothing to do with him.
11:28He was a useless dad to me.
11:29It was horrible to me.
11:30I hated him so much.
11:32Why was he horrible to you?
11:34Because he wasn't there for her.
11:36He wasn't there for me.
11:37No, but if you're Jane, he was horrible.
11:39You mean he wasn't there for you?
11:40Yeah.
11:41Not that he was horrible to you because...
11:42Horrible because he wasn't in my life.
11:43I understand that.
11:44At five years old, my stepdad stepped in.
11:47Your mum is Jane.
11:49Yeah.
11:50I was with Phil for three years.
11:52He was having an affair with your mother, Hillary.
11:54And walked out on me and the girls.
11:57Phil disappeared out of our lives and never, ever bothered contacting me or the girls again.
12:02He told me he had another son, Neil, but had nothing to do with him either.
12:06Jo, you've got to help me out here.
12:07I'm only getting told what I've got told.
12:09Yeah, you're getting told off your mum.
12:10I'm sorry.
12:11Yeah, my mum's...
12:12I'm really sorry.
12:13I'm here because I grew up with Phil.
12:15Yeah.
12:16You would have that.
12:17And do you know what?
12:18I've been loved to have had a sister in my life.
12:19And that's me being honest.
12:20Do you understand that they would feel hacked off?
12:22Yeah, I do.
12:23So it's not...
12:24They are so hacked off.
12:25Why were they not invited to the funeral, Jo?
12:27You was...
12:28We had the message back off your mum saying that you were going to come to the funeral.
12:32And we didn't want...
12:33We didn't want any trouble at my dad's funeral.
12:35You nearly said you didn't want them there.
12:37What right do you have?
12:38You're not even related to him to tell their kids they can't be at the funeral.
12:41What?
12:42Yeah.
12:43Why would I do?
12:44Why would we want to cause trouble?
12:47The thing was, it was a big shock when Phil died.
12:49When my dad died, it was a big shock.
12:50Well, I want proof.
12:51It wasn't your dad.
12:52You want proof?
12:53It wasn't your dad.
12:54It was her dad.
12:55Yeah, it was her dad.
12:56It wasn't your dad.
12:57But he brought me up.
12:58He didn't bring her up, though, did he?
12:59Because on this birth certificate, his name's on here.
13:02See, we got told his name wasn't on the birth certificate.
13:04Yeah, well, all right then.
13:05If you were told.
13:06But the thing is...
13:07Come on, Jeremy.
13:08What does that say?
13:09Phillip, my father, and then my mother's underneath.
13:14Do you not understand how she feels?
13:16I can understand, yeah.
13:17Did he admit to these other kids?
13:18He admitted that he'd got two children.
13:20He didn't tell me about Neil until just before Christmas.
13:22So he told you about Bethany and Sophie.
13:24Why would he...
13:25You know this amazing man who was such a great, great iconic figure in your life?
13:27I think he was embarrassed about him leaving Neil.
13:30So what, just sweep it under the carpet?
13:32He was like...
13:33In reality, the man isn't here, she's defending his memory,
13:35and you sort of get that, and she came in knowing...
13:38And why don't you believe he's not dead?
13:40Because I don't believe, because I did write it.
13:42But he is dead.
13:43He is.
13:44I wrote a letter to him.
13:45I wrote a letter to him.
13:46No, no, darling.
13:47Listen, he is genuinely...
13:48He is.
13:49He's passed, okay?
13:50But that...
13:51Bethany, I wouldn't...
13:52Do you know, my dad is...
13:53I know he wasn't my real dad.
13:55I know he wasn't my real dad.
13:56You stopped me when I was even a kid.
13:58Going to Astor.
13:59You stopped me in the street.
14:00I wrote a letter to him and sent two pictures of me and Sophie.
14:03Not to me, you didn't.
14:04You want to go...
14:05I didn't see you.
14:06Well, you sent it.
14:07The only time I've ever seen you is when you came to my mum's ass.
14:09It was good to me.
14:10But he gave you everything.
14:11Because, in fact, he gave you everything.
14:13Are you jealous of her, understandably?
14:14No, I'm not.
14:15Let me just grab Neil.
14:16Stay there one second, guys.
14:17Because I just want to hear what he has to say about this.
14:19I mean, this guy's known nothing.
14:20He's listened to you two arguing about a man who seems to have got it completely round
14:24the wrong way.
14:25I don't really understand.
14:26What should you make of that?
14:30You need to speak, my friend.
14:31I know it's difficult.
14:32I'm shocked.
14:33I need to take you out there.
14:36Okay.
14:37You all right?
14:38Come with me.
14:39Come on, you'll be fine.
14:40I know it's difficult.
14:41I really appreciate you coming.
14:42I'm going to meet your half-sister, okay?
14:43Big day.
14:44I mean, you know...
14:47Bethany's passionate, isn't she?
14:48You all right?
14:49Yeah?
14:50And make sure you speak when you're out there, all right?
14:52All right?
14:53Go on.
14:54CHEERING AND APPLAUSE
14:55What?
15:09Are you all right?
15:10Yeah.
15:11You're quite tall.
15:12That's nice.
15:13I'm sorry.
15:15I'm just going to change tack a little bit, because one of the things I've said about
15:26this show from day one is it's a journey, and there is good and bad.
15:30There are many people on this stage who have suffered, notably Neil and Bethany.
15:35Joanne, I want to say something to you.
15:36I really actually massively admire the fact that you can come here and defend somebody.
15:42She would judge your dad on what she knew, and that says to me quite a lot about her.
15:49The way she embraced you says a lot about her.
15:51I think she would acknowledge, without wanting to stay in his memory, that you two have been
15:55victims of his rather tardy behaviour as a father, and I suspect that she understands
16:02as much as she can what you've been through.
16:04Neil, your sister on your right feels exactly, I guess, as you do, that, well, he was never
16:13there.
16:14You're grinning at him.
16:15Yeah.
16:16I'm just glad that he's fine to us.
16:17Sorry, I can't hear you.
16:18I'm glad that he's fine to us.
16:20What does this mean today?
16:21Everything.
16:22When you listen to what you listen, and there's a picture of your dad, by the way.
16:26Is that what he looks like?
16:28No, that was a few years ago.
16:31All I get told is that I've got his eyes in his nose.
16:33You do look like him.
16:34Neil, you could understand Bethany's anger, cos that's what you went through.
16:37When you look at that picture and you hear her saying he was this, he was that, he was
16:40great, what does that make you feel like?
16:43Upset, really, cos he hasn't been there.
16:47Um, really, really important that we, we do our best to help you get through this.
16:52I think all of you need to try and work together, because it's not easy for you either, right?
16:57No, it's still raw.
17:00So...
17:01And I guess you came here because you are extending an arm of friendship, right?
17:06Yeah, I do want them both in my life.
17:08I always have.
17:09I've always wanted a little sister.
17:10Is that something you want?
17:12Just water under the bridge.
17:14Sorry?
17:15Water under the bridge, start again.
17:17That's good to hear.
17:18APPLAUSE
17:19Because the story...
17:20APPLAUSE
17:21And this is, um...
17:26This is not a, er...
17:28This is not a nasty judgement on your step-dad or your father, but...
17:33He's not in here dealing with this, is he?
17:35And the one good thing that should come out of this...
17:37Well, look, he isn't.
17:38Yeah, precisely.
17:39Well, you see, absolutely.
17:40But the thing is, whatever mess has been left behind, we'll obviously do our bit.
17:45We'll see you together with Graeme and do our best to help you.
17:47Go that way.
17:48Thank you so much for coming on.
17:49Thank you, my Graeme.
17:50Thanks a lot.
17:51Thank you very much indeed, Graeme.
17:52Good luck to everyone.
17:53My next guest today, Andre, is here for all-important lie detector results with his girlfriend Charmaine.
18:00Andre says that they met whilst he was driving the local bus, but now worries their relationship was taken a wrong turn.
18:05Who wrote this?
18:06He's asked her to take the lie detector on the show and says if she fails, his bus won't be stopping near her any time soon.
18:13Somebody has written on this damn...
18:15Are you ready for this?
18:16Do the free rides end today.
18:18You're fired, scriptwriter.
18:20Andre's done the Jeremy Kyle Show that way.
18:22CHEERING AND APPLAUSE
18:24Are you a bus driver?
18:27I'm a bus driver.
18:28Let go.
18:29Apparently, we've got a lot in common, Mr...
18:31We have.
18:32Apparently, you're deaf in your right ear and I'm deaf in my left ear, which means we're not going to hear a thing that's going to go on.
18:37That's correct.
18:38No, no, no, no.
18:39Er, 49 you are.
18:40Correct.
18:41And you've got a girlfriend who's 25.
18:42Correct.
18:43It's a romantic moment.
18:44You are driving the bus.
18:45Correct.
18:46Why are you leaning towards below?
18:47Oh, so we can hear each other.
18:48You know when you were driving the bus?
18:50Yes.
18:51What number was it?
18:52It was the 282.
18:53282 where?
18:54To Alteringum.
18:55Nice.
18:56Alteringum.
18:57It's posh though.
18:58It is.
18:59People that live in...
19:00Never mind.
19:01Anyway, so you're on the bus and you're the bus driver.
19:02And do you have like a conductor anymore or do you do it all yourself?
19:03I do it all myself.
19:04So you're multi-talented.
19:05I'm multi-talented.
19:06You not only drive but you sell and buy the tickets, yeah?
19:09So you're driving and you see that... What happens?
19:11The bells.
19:12I drove round the car and all the bells were going off.
19:14Why?
19:15Because I've seen Chamaine.
19:16She gets on.
19:17She gets on.
19:18And we have an internal mirror.
19:19We could see each other and she was there looking at me.
19:21I'm looking at her.
19:22And as the eyes were glancing.
19:23What were you looking at?
19:24Her face?
19:25Her face.
19:26Her beauty.
19:27Her looks.
19:28And then I said to her, I said, is there any chance of me having a little chat?
19:33You know when you're in with the old bus driver says you want a chat?
19:38Yeah?
19:39So I think she's...
19:40Was it park and ride after that?
19:41Park and ride.
19:42So where did you have a chat?
19:48In the station.
19:49Did you?
19:50I said, you're coming for a coffee with me.
19:52So we went for a coffee.
19:53We had a little chat.
19:54Exchange numbers.
19:55So I told her, I said, I'm breaking up for a week's holiday.
19:58Gets on, puts my number in my shirt pocket.
20:01What did I go and do?
20:02Washed it.
20:03Washed my shirt.
20:04He drives up and down for three days of his week-long break from driving a bus in a car looking for this woman.
20:11True or false?
20:12True.
20:13You've got Muppet written here at that point.
20:15I am.
20:16What happened on Monday?
20:17So on the Monday morning when he goes back to work, pulls into the station.
20:21Did they say you're on?
20:22In the station?
20:23Yes.
20:24When you saw her at the bus stop that morning, it really was like...
20:28Fate.
20:29Yeah?
20:30It was fate.
20:31And then we took it from there.
20:32So all of this is lovely, right?
20:33It is.
20:34All of this is fantastic.
20:35What the hell are you doing on the Jeremy Kyle show?
20:37Because you shouldn't be here if it's all going well.
20:40I know I shouldn't be here.
20:41Well, why are you then?
20:42I can't hear any more.
20:43Why are you then?
20:44Because she was deleting sexes.
20:48Right.
20:49Tell me what happened.
20:50I don't know why we're getting this close.
20:51Tell me what happened last Friday.
20:52On Friday, it was my day off.
20:54I got received a phone call from a quarter past nine in the morning saying that she was
20:58bored.
20:59She didn't know whether to go back home or she wanted to go to her mate.
21:02So I said, listen, if you're seeing me tonight, why don't you go and see your mate for a few
21:06hours?
21:07Because we see you only two days a week.
21:09Oh, you're not living together?
21:10No, we're not living together.
21:11So there was no call.
21:14Normally, she rings and I thought it was something a bit suspicious.
21:17I thought, well, why aren't she ringing?
21:19I just sent the text that I don't want to see you tonight.
21:21I'll see you tomorrow.
21:22Oh, fishing, fishing.
21:23That's what men do.
21:24They're the opposite to what they want, by the way, ladies, just so you're aware.
21:28So as I was brooding all night, thinking about what to say to her the next day, so I'll
21:33give her the benefit.
21:34We met.
21:35About four hours later, she had the chance to tell me everything.
21:38I just turned round and said to her, what time did you phone me that morning?
21:42What time did you get off the phone?
21:44She said, well, before I rang you.
21:47So when she went to the toilet, I checked her car log and there was no car log.
21:50If she had nothing to hide, she wouldn't have done it.
21:53My trust is wavering and I need the truth.
21:55I need her to do the lie detector, yeah?
21:57Yes.
21:58Charmaine's on the Jeremy Carr Show that way.
22:00CHEERING AND APPLAUSE
22:07Oh, no, lovely.
22:09Hiya.
22:10Hi.
22:11What was it about him?
22:12Erm, just the, like, attraction.
22:14I thought it was there, so...
22:16The older man thing, yeah?
22:17Yeah.
22:18Are you in love with him?
22:19Yes.
22:20Well, what the hell's going on?
22:21Why are you on the Jeremy Carr Show?
22:22I want happy endings today.
22:23I don't understand.
22:24Talk to me.
22:25Come on, come on, come on.
22:26What?
22:27He doesn't trust me.
22:28He doesn't trust you because you're 25 and he's 49.
22:30He doesn't trust you because he's got reason to.
22:32What are we talking about here?
22:33Yes.
22:34Erm, obviously, I know I did wrong by...
22:35What did you do?
22:36I don't even understand what you're supposed to have done.
22:38What did you do?
22:39Deleted the texts.
22:40Why?
22:41Because, obviously, I was having a conversation with my friend about...
22:44Is that a male friend?
22:45No.
22:46Female.
22:47Why do you...
22:48Sorry, I know I'm missing the point.
22:49Why do you have to see her text messages to trust her?
22:51I didn't...
22:52It was nothing...
22:53It was...
22:54I asked her a question.
22:55What time did you get off the phone?
22:56Let's make it serious a minute.
22:57Tell her how this makes you feel and then you tell him how it makes you feel.
23:00That's the thing.
23:01You know, like, I used to call me the Hulk?
23:04It's a bit similar to the film, like, The Avengers.
23:07When Thor turns round, I need my Hulk and he's like,
23:10No!
23:11No!
23:12It's exactly what I'm saying.
23:13I can't express myself.
23:16I can't let this...
23:17You're like Thor and she's an Avenger.
23:19It's a bit...
23:20It's hard to explain.
23:21That's how deep it goes inside with me.
23:22I'm not...
23:23I'm not...
23:24Will you stop going,
23:25Ah, he's a soft idiot!
23:27You've got a man up!
23:28I am a man.
23:29It's not how you treat a woman, is it?
23:30No.
23:31How do you treat a woman?
23:32How does a woman want to be treated?
23:33Trustworthy.
23:34You trust her?
23:35You trust her?
23:36Oh, yeah.
23:37100%.
23:38Are you surprised?
23:39Who rang this show?
23:40Me.
23:41I mean, you must have been able to have this conversation yourselves.
23:44Well, I tried, but it's, like, hard for him to, like, actually get him to listen.
23:50What do you want to say to him?
23:51It's like, obviously...
23:53I do understand where he's coming from about, obviously, I shouldn't have deleted the text.
23:57If it is, could we just need to just...
23:59Sometimes I think, and I know this is what we do, right, every day, but sometimes I think people just...
24:03They paralysed their relationships by overanalysis the whole time.
24:06Do you know what I mean?
24:07A text.
24:08You look into her eyes.
24:09Is she telling you the truth?
24:10Look into her eyes.
24:11Are you telling the truth?
24:12Find out in three.
24:13I'm coming back with those results.
24:14Don't go anywhere.
24:15Write down.
24:16How many people in this audience think this woman's a cheat?
24:17Put your hand in the air.
24:18Why isn't that enough for you?
24:19Oh, hello.
24:20This boy is here because he wants you to man up and say, I didn't do enough, and if you don't, you're going to blow him.
24:30Don't push it.
24:31Don't push it.
24:32I haven't done enough, OK?
24:33Why do you believe in Jeremy?
24:34You've not done enough.
24:35Come on, then.
24:36André.
24:37Is it André?
24:38André.
24:39Has it always been André?
24:40Not Andrew or anything?
24:41No, no.
24:42André.
24:43He is quite cool for 50, isn't he?
24:44I think the women would definitely know to get on your bus.
25:00Now, you did the lie detector.
25:02Was it all right?
25:03Yes.
25:04Am I going to have to open it and I'll read there's an admission?
25:06She said that when she was on the number 83.
25:08No?
25:09Did you ever think that you'd pull the bus driver?
25:11No.
25:12How many people in this audience think this woman's a cheat?
25:14Put your hand in the air.
25:15Yeah.
25:16Why isn't that enough for you?
25:18Oh, hello.
25:21Since the start of your relationship with André, have you had sexual intercourse with anyone else?
25:25We asked Charmaine.
25:26You said no.
25:27Why did you say no?
25:28I was telling the truth.
25:29Sorry?
25:30I was telling the truth.
25:31Oh, hello.
25:32Here we go.
25:33Adam is so jealous.
25:34Don't upset the other one.
25:40She passed every single question.
25:42Now, I've got an idea.
25:49Oh, no, I was joking.
25:54Anyway, apparently you've got a celebration dance.
25:59That's correct, yeah.
26:00It's getting worse, this part, by the minute, isn't it?
26:02Come on, then, to dance.
26:03Let's just give this man a round of applause.
26:05We're going to celebrate you now.
26:06APPLAUSE
26:07I'm going to see you.
26:10Are you doing this seriously?
26:15Is this my apology to you?
26:16You want me seriously to do this?
26:18Yeah.
26:19Well, this is an alien dance.
26:21A what?
26:22An alien?
26:23When it starts off going...
26:25How am I going to...?
26:26LAUGHTER
26:27CHEERING AND APPLAUSE
26:28CHEERING AND APPLAUSE
26:30CHEERING AND APPLAUSE
26:32CHEERING AND APPLAUSE
26:34CHEERING AND APPLAUSE
26:36CHEERING AND APPLAUSE
26:38So...
26:40CHEERING AND APPLAUSE
26:42So, Happy?
26:43Happy?
26:44You out of here?
26:45Good man.
26:46282 in Ultringham.
26:47Won't be on your bus ever.
26:48Get out of here.
26:49Give me a round of applause.
26:50Come on!
26:51CHEERING AND APPLAUSE
26:53APPLAUSE
26:58Good luck to them around the next guest today.
27:00Peter is here to meet his father, Douglas,
27:01for the very, very first time.
27:03He says that Douglas abandoned him over 30 years ago
27:06and he's never been told why
27:07and he is desperate for the truth.
27:09Huge day for both of them.
27:10But actually, first up, what we're going to do,
27:11I'm going to go and meet the father, Douglas,
27:13who's in the green room.
27:14A few health issues, but a guy who says,
27:17look, I want to put my side and I'm massively, massively
27:20inspired today to get this right
27:22and I thank the show for trying to put us together.
27:24But I want to get the story out.
27:25How are you, sir?
27:27You all right?
27:28Yeah, fine.
27:29I know there are some health issues
27:30and I appreciate you being here.
27:32The problem with these sorts of moments,
27:34and I've said this for a good many years, right,
27:37we find somebody, it's all sweetness and light,
27:41it's all brilliant,
27:42but that doesn't really ever answer the real issue,
27:44which is a lot of people who have not had a person in their lives
27:47have a lot of questions for you.
27:49Peter's 34.
27:51Yeah.
27:52He says, I was abandoned as a child.
27:54No.
27:55What happened?
27:56Well, the ex-master wanted to ask me for a divorce.
28:00Yeah, but that doesn't mean that the kid doesn't stop being yours.
28:02Why didn't you see the kid?
28:03I used to send birthday cards.
28:05No, no, why didn't you go and see the kid?
28:06Well, didn't I see him?
28:08Yeah.
28:09Moved.
28:10No idea where I are.
28:11No idea at all?
28:12No.
28:13Can I ask you a question?
28:14You say, I haven't seen him since he was two years of age.
28:15I'm gutted, I didn't watch him grow up,
28:16I don't know why his mum divorced me.
28:18All I did was work hard and pay the bills.
28:20I didn't even cheat.
28:21She took the kids away from me and left me heartbroken.
28:24I'm not having a go, but you've got to understand one thing today.
28:27Even though you're 69 and even though he's 34,
28:30you are the dad here and he's the kid,
28:32and he, I know, is going to say,
28:33hold on a minute, the emphasis should be on him to apologise
28:37or, in essence, say, I could have done...
28:40Could you have done more?
28:42Come on.
28:43At the end of the day, no.
28:45You don't think you could have done...
28:46I tried what I...
28:47But it's not to convince me, Doug.
28:49Do you see what I'm saying?
28:50All right, but for him,
28:52can you look him in the eyes and go,
28:54I did enough to be in your life?
28:56That's all...
28:57It doesn't matter to me.
28:58Don't take this the wrong way.
28:59It matters to him.
29:00And I've done this so many times.
29:02Yeah.
29:03The person who hasn't been in the life goes,
29:04yeah, sorry I wasn't there.
29:05And it ruins it.
29:06Because you have to sell to him.
29:09Because in his mind...
29:10Yeah.
29:11You slagging the mother off ain't going to work.
29:13You...
29:14You saying, oh, I didn't...
29:15He wants something concrete.
29:16Do you understand that?
29:17And this is...
29:18This is different.
29:19This isn't, oh, a lovely, happy reunion.
29:21It could well be brilliant,
29:22but this guy, I'm telling you, says...
29:2434 years or 30-plus years.
29:27What father does that?
29:28That's what he's saying.
29:29I'm almost coming in here first to say to you...
29:32But how can...
29:33How can you get in touch with somebody
29:34when you don't know where they are?
29:36Don't forget technology wasn't around in some days.
29:38I can... I get it.
29:39But you...
29:40What I'm trying to say to you in the nicest possible way
29:41is you have to convince him, not me.
29:42Do you get that?
29:43Fine.
29:44Could you have done more?
29:45No.
29:46No.
29:47What has it done to...
29:48What has it done to you not seeing your kid?
29:50Truthfully, that's also what you've got to tell him.
29:52It hurts.
29:55He's desperate to have a relationship with you
29:57and I know that you're desperate to have a relationship with him.
29:59Yeah.
30:00And I hope I can facilitate that.
30:01I just want you to understand
30:02it probably ain't going to be a walk in the park initially, all right?
30:05That's fine.
30:06I know because of the health reasons we're going to leave you here.
30:07You stay with Stu.
30:08I'll talk to him and bring you back, all right?
30:09Give him a round of applause, guys.
30:10I'm running.
30:11OK.
30:12So, the kid that hasn't seen his father for 30 years,
30:17and he does have questions,
30:19Pete is on the Jeremy Kyle Show that way.
30:21Give him a round of applause.
30:26How tall are you?
30:27Thank you very much.
30:29Yes, you are tall, aren't you?
30:30There's a bloke at the back.
30:32He's eight foot seven.
30:33Welcome to the show, Pete.
30:34Did you watch that?
30:36Did you hear what I was...?
30:37I heard what he said, yeah.
30:38It's BS.
30:40He knew where we were.
30:42He's always known where we were.
30:43Even if he didn't get along and the end did, fair enough.
30:48Don't stop me.
30:49I've got my children.
30:50I still go and see them.
30:52There's trains, coaches, coaches.
30:55There's no excuse what he says.
30:57Absolutely no excuse.
30:59Why now is my question.
31:0034 years of age by your own...
31:01I want closure.
31:02Really?
31:03It was hard for me.
31:05My mum was always with my sisters.
31:08Who raised you?
31:09My mum.
31:10All on her own.
31:11Good job.
31:12Did an absolutely amazing job.
31:13Couldn't have asked of a better mum on the planet.
31:15Super.
31:16You're very close to your mum, you're very close to your grandad.
31:21I've got a statement from Patricia.
31:23Douglas had the opportunity to see Peter.
31:26I never stopped him.
31:27Instead of paying maintenance, he said he would go on benefits so he didn't have to pay.
31:31What hurts me most is that he never fought for me or the kids.
31:35Even though I moved north, he had the chance to keep in contact.
31:38He had the details but he chose not to.
31:40If that's the case after 34 years, you've built your life, you've got your kids, you've got your life sorted in effect.
31:45Why now?
31:46What do you say closure?
31:47What if you...
31:48What is closure, though?
31:49Because you might not get what you want.
31:50To be honest, he's still my dad.
31:51They always say that.
31:52But he is.
31:53No, no, I get that biologically, but what if you do not get what you expect to get?
31:57Are you...
31:58All I want is the truth.
31:59I want answers.
32:00He says he couldn't have done any more.
32:02Like I said before, trains.
32:04I do it for my kids.
32:06Why couldn't he have done it?
32:07He's 32 years.
32:13You don't need to preach to me because I'm completely with you.
32:16Who taught me how to shave, Doug?
32:18My grandad.
32:19Who was there for me?
32:20My grandad.
32:21Where were you, you lazy bum?
32:31Hardy, the happy reunion.
32:32Come with me, killer.
32:33He's through here.
32:34And the thing is, for me, I don't...
32:36It's not for me to say.
32:37When I do reunions, I worry.
32:39Shall I tell you why?
32:40Because people come through there and they go,
32:41Oh, it's great, 34 years.
32:42And then later...
32:43He's giving me the apology.
32:44Well, this is about you.
32:45It's a huge moment.
32:46I mean, you haven't seen this guy for 30-plus years.
32:49This is your dad.
32:50I don't even know him.
32:51This is your dad.
32:52Hi.
32:53Right, Peter.
32:54Hang on, I'll just stand up and do it.
32:57I just want to shake your hand.
32:59Yeah.
33:00Stay there.
33:01It's fine.
33:02OK, thank you.
33:03That's all right.
33:04Move off a bit better.
33:06I didn't think after what you said out there,
33:09you'd put your hand out.
33:10Talk.
33:11You've got to listen to this.
33:12It's out of respect.
33:13You were never there.
33:14Ever.
33:15I know.
33:16You had the chances.
33:17When?
33:18You always had the chance.
33:19You knew where we lived.
33:20Didn't.
33:21You knew we were at my nan and grandad's.
33:22You knew it, Doug.
33:23Yeah, but you moved away.
33:24No, we didn't.
33:25We've always been in...
33:26Did you know the grand and grandad's address?
33:27Yeah.
33:28Why don't you go round there and get their new address then?
33:30It's not like it's going before.
33:31He's never moved.
33:32He's lived there for 34 years.
33:34Fine.
33:35Could you...
33:36I told you this.
33:37Always lived there.
33:38Always lived there and you knew it.
33:39You absolutely know it.
33:41So why didn't you bother?
33:43First, I started sending Christmas cards, birthday cards and more.
33:48You sent one?
33:49And I was told...
33:50You split up.
33:51It doesn't matter.
33:52No, listen.
33:53I was told that someone received the cards via your parents...
33:58Could you have done more?
34:00Could you have done more?
34:01Could you have done more?
34:02Could you have done more?
34:03Come on.
34:06Come on.
34:07Where could I go and...
34:08Come on, Dougie.
34:09What do I have to do?
34:10Bottle feed you?
34:11There was no one there.
34:12Look your son in the eyes and tell him you couldn't have done more.
34:15Go on.
34:16Go on.
34:17I know you're upset.
34:18No, no.
34:19Tell him you couldn't have done more.
34:20Because that's a lie, mate.
34:21It's written on your face.
34:22I thought I could have done more when I didn't know where you was.
34:24Stop saying that.
34:25It's BS.
34:28We split up.
34:29You split up.
34:30Fair enough.
34:31Right?
34:32Don't ever sleep my mum because she's an absolute world to me.
34:34I know.
34:35She would never dare you.
34:36Right.
34:37That's right.
34:38You split up into January.
34:39You set one card into February.
34:41And then that was it.
34:42And what did you turn around and say in the letter, in the card?
34:45You'd rather go on the dole than pay maintenance.
34:48No way.
34:49Yeah, you did.
34:50Who told you that?
34:51Did you pay maintenance then?
34:52Yes.
34:53No, you didn't.
34:54Not one penny you ever paid.
34:57Not one.
34:58From the moment we split up, I was putting money into a bank account.
35:02Where is that money then?
35:03I was trying to ask me.
35:05Oh, come on.
35:06This is comical.
35:07There's no way in the world.
35:08Don't ever sleep my mum.
35:11And I won't do my house.
35:13You're the lazy bum.
35:14Why?
35:15Because she could have done more.
35:16I go and see my kids.
35:18I jump on a coach.
35:19I jump on a train.
35:20Why couldn't you have done that?
35:23Because she'd moved.
35:24I don't know where she is.
35:26You're going to make this ever work.
35:28You want to drop the she.
35:30You want to go, do you know what?
35:32I was hacked off when your mother finished it with me.
35:34And rather stupidly, because I didn't...
35:36He never remarried.
35:37He never had any more kids.
35:38And he probably was still in love with the mother.
35:40You basically, because that annoyed you, upset you, devastated you,
35:43your kids suffered.
35:45What you've got is a boy, a 34, man, saying,
35:48Dad, you ain't been around.
35:50Why?
35:51For you, just man up and be honest, for God's sake.
35:54You're a family man.
35:56Don't apparently tell me why you were not there.
35:59I've got my sisters as well.
36:02I've been in touch with one of those.
36:04Oh, have you?
36:05Well, she got...
36:06One of those.
36:07One of those.
36:08You found me, your sister.
36:09So you didn't find...
36:10That's your daughters!
36:12They phoned you.
36:13One of those.
36:14Who phoned this show?
36:15Me.
36:16So he came looking for you, and your daughter...
36:19Come on, Doug, you're not giving...
36:20It doesn't matter to me, because you'll disappear off in a minute,
36:23and that's the way it works.
36:24But this boy is here, because he wants you to man up
36:27and say, I didn't do enough, and if you don't,
36:29you're going to blow it.
36:30Why don't you realise that?
36:32You're going to blow it.
36:33I will show that.
36:34Blow it.
36:35Don't push it.
36:36Don't push it.
36:37I haven't done enough, OK?
36:39Why are you blaming Jeremy?
36:40You've not done enough.
36:41Come on, then.
36:42I'm sorry, I wasn't there.
36:43I'm really sorry.
36:44Which sister did you contact?
36:46They contacted me.
36:47They found me.
36:48Which one?
36:49Which one?
36:50Do you remember the name?
36:51Yeah.
36:52Oh, right.
36:53What do you want from today?
36:54And I know something happened.
36:55What do you want from today?
36:57I'd like to have a relationship with Peter.
37:00If it's possible.
37:01Why did you say, don't push it, to me?
37:03Exactly.
37:04He's trying to help.
37:05Yeah, I know.
37:06You said to me, don't push it.
37:07Why not?
37:08Somebody needs to.
37:09I'm talking to my son.
37:10Good.
37:11And you're...
37:12...butting it.
37:13Because I'm trying to make you understand at 69,
37:15because I would have thought you would have known by now yourself,
37:17as a father and a man, that the onus is on you to basically put this right,
37:22because he's still the kid and you're the parent.
37:24That's why.
37:25Right.
37:26That's all I'm saying.
37:27I want this to work.
37:28Man up.
37:29Go with her.
37:31So, you said you sent money, cards and everything else?
37:33Yep.
37:34Well, obviously, you knew the address then, didn't you?
37:36Of her parents.
37:37That's where we lived!
37:39So, you could have gone to the parents.
37:40Why don't you send a letter saying where have they moved?
37:42They never moved, Jeremy.
37:43Oh, God!
37:44He would not tell me.
37:46We lived there.
37:47They're in the same house that they've been in for 34 years.
37:51I heard she remarried and went there.
37:53He said, I'm sorry, I didn't do enough.
37:55Now, we swing it round.
37:57There comes that moment in your life, which you know about, right, Pete?
38:00Which is, do I want this?
38:02Yes.
38:03You said outside he's my dad.
38:04He can't do any more than apologise, can he?
38:06It's how you take it forward from that moment.
38:09How do you take it forward from that moment?
38:12What do you want?
38:13Obviously, he's my dad.
38:14I want a relationship with you.
38:16I've missed out.
38:17So have I.
38:18Yeah?
38:19Can I just say without you thinking I'm big, because you're not going to like me after
38:24this, but you might one day thank me.
38:26That sentence sums up what is wrong with you as a father.
38:30Your son said, I've missed out.
38:32The correct answer was, I'm sorry, son.
38:35I'll be there for you.
38:36What did you say?
38:37Seven.
38:38You're 69.
38:39You're the dad.
38:40I said before then.
38:42You know what I mean.
38:43I'm trying to help you, Doug.
38:44I am trying to help you.
38:46Seriously, mate.
38:47I'm trying to help you.
38:48Yeah.
38:49So what have you got to say?
38:50I've been battle from both sides and I can't even get a word out.
38:53Because you're just full of BS.
38:55Well, shut up then.
38:56Go on.
38:57Go on.
38:58Not a word.
38:59Go on.
39:00When I came in here, I was expecting all this, but I want Peter to ask me, give me questions
39:07so I can answer them.
39:10There's one simple one.
39:11Why?
39:12Where the hell have you been?
39:16For you?
39:17I haven't.
39:18For all of us.
39:19Even my sisters.
39:20Where have you been?
39:22I haven't.
39:23Exactly.
39:24Don't you think you've got something to say?
39:26I'm very sorry.
39:27Happy you came.
39:28Shake your dad's hand.
39:29I'm happy I came.
39:30Still a lot of work to do.
39:32We will do our best with the team.
39:34Thank you very much.
39:35All right?
39:36Thank you very much.
39:37All right.
39:38Give them a round of applause.
39:39I'm out of here.
39:41I've said it before.
39:42I say it again.
39:43At the end of the day, not every one of those is going to be like roses around the door.
39:46There's work to be done.
39:47We'll help them with that.
39:48And we'll let you know.
39:49I'm back after the break.
39:50Back in three.
39:51Don't go anywhere.
39:52Right back.
39:53She lent in to talk to you, but then she stuck her tongue down your throat.
39:55Shut up, you horrible, dirty little man.
39:58All right.
39:59Thank you very much.
40:00You're welcome back.
40:01Now, you might just remember my next guest from a previous show.
40:17Take a look at this, my friends.
40:20She checks your boxer shorts.
40:21She has done.
40:22Yeah.
40:23Clean ones or dirty ones?
40:27Dirty ones.
40:28I've been wearing them all day.
40:29What happens if he has cheated on you?
40:32It's over.
40:33It's not going back.
40:34Lies for two years telling me he never did it.
40:37It'll be over.
40:38Since the start of your relationship with Kelly, apart from what you've admitted to,
40:42have you passionately kissed anyone else?
40:43You said no.
40:44Why did you say no, Paul?
40:45Okay.
40:46The truth.
40:47This test says you're a liar, pal.
40:48Oh!
40:49I haven't kissed anyone.
40:50Go away from me!
40:52Stop it, mate.
40:53Give me a bit.
40:54He failed every single question.
40:56Oh!
40:57Tell her the truth.
40:59I have been.
41:00No, you haven't.
41:01Why'd you fail every question, then?
41:02I don't know.
41:03I haven't.
41:04She lied.
41:05It's called a lie-detator.
41:07Now, this is shocking.
41:08Two days after the show, Paul admitted to Kelly that my test was right.
41:12He went on to confess that he passionately kissed another woman and had sexual contact.
41:17Now, today, for some reason, Kelly's daughter Emma is back on the show.
41:20She is furious, right, that Paul is treating her mum badly and more angry that her mother
41:26has given him a second chance.
41:27Emma says her mum is devastated, embarrassed, she even had to go for an STI check, unsure of
41:32what Paul could have passed on.
41:34This young lady says they need their heads banging together.
41:36Emma's back on the car show that way.
41:37Welcome back, sweetheart.
41:38You're as gobsmacked as we.
41:39In the name of the Lord, why is your mother giving this man another chance?
41:52Because she thinks, because it was at the beginning, it was kind of forgivable and it
41:55was just the once.
41:56Right, let's talk about this.
41:57Let's get it absolutely nailed on.
42:00He fails the test, calls it a pile of rubbish.
42:03She looks devastated.
42:04You're cuddling her.
42:05She says, I never want to see you again.
42:0748 hours later, he gets home.
42:09You've got a speaker.
42:10What does he admit?
42:11What does he say?
42:12Because he kissed her and he had sexual intercourse with her and he...
42:16No, sexual contact.
42:17Yeah.
42:18And this was another woman at the very beginning of the relationship.
42:21How many times did people roll that excuse out?
42:23It would only been together a few hours.
42:25That's what he said.
42:26Yeah.
42:27And your mother bought that rubbish, did she?
42:28Yeah.
42:29Why?
42:30I don't know.
42:31I don't believe it myself.
42:32Why do you think that she would forgive him?
42:35I don't know.
42:37It's called low self-esteem.
42:39That and because she really loves him and he's good with his words.
42:43Do you think that he loves her when he's doing whatever with other people?
42:47Obviously not.
42:48You say, you've picked up the pieces once too often and today you hope will be the final
42:54thing.
42:55He says, look, I'll be honest, I admit I cheated at the start.
42:57Somehow I thought that I could cheat the test.
43:00It was right.
43:01I was wrong.
43:02This is a woman who kissed me.
43:03It was nice.
43:04So I kissed her back and then we had sexual contact.
43:06I'm desperate, he says, for Kelly, who I love to trust me.
43:09Should you get him out?
43:10Yeah.
43:11Paul's on the Jeremy Carr show again that way.
43:21See, here's the interesting thing when I come to work that...
43:24There.
43:26Here's the interesting thing when I come to work this morning.
43:29You're a man who slagged me off, told everybody that my test was rubbish and now you're back
43:32on your hands and knees.
43:33So you are going to do it now down that camera.
43:37The test was right, yeah?
43:38Yep.
43:39So the Jeremy Carr lighter's right and you're a liar?
43:41Yep.
43:42So why are you back?
43:43I want to prove that I only lied about that one thing and I want to fight for my relationship
43:47with Kelly.
43:48You know the thing you admitted to with this woman?
43:50Yeah.
43:51What was at the beginning, was it?
43:52Yeah.
43:53What happened?
43:54I was at her place.
43:55Went there to basically tell her that we could no longer be seeing each other.
44:00Because you'd met Kelly.
44:01Yeah.
44:02She leant in.
44:03She leant in, yeah.
44:04And I just assumed she could lean in to talk to me.
44:07Of course.
44:08So she leant in to talk to you but then she stuck her tongue down your throat?
44:12Yeah.
44:13And then she stuck her hand down your trousers?
44:15Yeah.
44:16So in essence, that, you felt that you could get away with that.
44:21You told my team, you've begged for this, I will pass this second lie detector 100%.
44:26I thought I could get lucky.
44:27It's time to wipe the slate clean, I love this woman, yeah?
44:29All right, let's get her back out.
44:30Kelly's back on the car show that way.
44:32You're mad.
44:40Don't even think, by the way, that you're going to cry.
44:43Don't even think you're going to run off.
44:44Don't even think you're doing that to me.
44:46Get your head out of your backside.
44:48What is wrong with you, woman?
44:49You failed the test.
44:50What's wrong with you?
44:52Sorry?
44:53Don't even go there.
44:56Don't cry to me today.
44:58You weren't having anything to do with him and you have him back.
45:00Why?
45:01I'm not really back with him, I'm just...
45:03So this is acceptable?
45:04No.
45:05So why haven't...
45:07He's told me it was at the start.
45:09So what he's told me, I need to know.
45:11We have two kids together.
45:13It's hard.
45:15How many people in the audience think Paul's going to pass this test?
45:21I know he isn't.
45:22Sorry?
45:23I know he isn't.
45:24Before his first test, Paul only admitted to having sex with another person on one occasion whilst Kelly was present.
45:38We remembered that, yeah?
45:40His first test then came back deceptive.
45:44Despite his utterances that it was fake, two days after that test, Paul confessed to you, Kelly, that during their relationship, at the beginning, he passionately kissed and had sexual contact with another woman.
45:57However, Paul made another admission just before the second test that halfway through his relationship with Kelly, he went out dogging on four separate occasions...
46:11..where he had sexual and oral contact with other people.
46:17It wasn't sexual.
46:19I've admitted to it.
46:21I'm in a fighting for a relationship.
46:22Did you know about that?
46:23No.
46:24How do you feel about that?
46:25It's over.
46:26I was pregnant.
46:27So you admitted to the dogging before this test.
46:29Did the firm belief that you'd pass this test...
46:31No.
46:32..and you'd get her back?
46:33No.
46:34..because he failed every single question again.
46:35Oh!
46:36How?
46:37I don't know how.
