01:13Yeah, something you pump your fists to but we wrote that song. We're kind of like oh, we missed the mark, but um
01:19Jordan recorded it that Monday and his fans just reacted so it that song really proved to me that
01:24Great songs no matter what they are
01:26They find their way to the fans and they're gonna respond and demand it no matter what it is
01:30And so it was a good reminder
01:31I'm thankful for that song and it's it's definitely my songwriting out a lot
01:34I was reading about you looking up some stuff and I'm glad that I met somebody else who also loves meat and candy as much as I do

01:50I say this in a lot of interviews when they they ask like what really
01:54Changed my trajectory as a songwriter and an artist that changed it because I was I was writing songs that were okay
01:59When I first got here and then I heard that album and I was like I get what they're doing
02:04Yeah, what old dominion songwriting is doing and they were they were kind of doing what I wanted to do
02:09Which was write songs for other people, but also write their own songs and put out their own music
02:12You said your songwriting was okay, and it got better like what were you like?
02:16I just got to sit in a room just grind this out until I'm like

02:22Well, I was writing songs with people that had never had songs on the radio either and I was like
02:27I've got to figure this out
02:28I've got to be the guy kind of the quarterback of the team and really elevate what I'm doing to get in those bigger rooms to get with those bigger
02:34Artists and actually write songs with people had that had success as as country music
02:38entrepreneurs basically and so
02:41It kind of clicked for me wrote a bunch of different songs, but literally that meat and candy album

02:49Oh, dude, so I've got a lot of new music in the in the hopper and
02:53We got tour hopping with Scotty McCreary right in January man
02:57It's gonna be fun and it's gonna be a crazy busy top of the year

03:02You know what I've written with Scotty a good bit
03:03We are we're signed to the same publisher. So we've written a lot of good songs
03:07I'm mainly concerned about playing golf with Scotty. So are you a golfer?
