00:04to you we drove from Philadelphia two days ago and went through Shenandoah
00:10and I kept singing two dozen mountains because there were so many mountains
00:14inspired by you and I butchered it so I'm apologizing for this so the new
00:23albums out first new music in a while right uh-huh yeah it's been a while and
00:28pretty excited about it yeah pretty excited about of course you know why in
00:33the world wouldn't you wouldn't you be you know having having Luke Combs on a
00:36record that you know it's 34 years old you know it was the number one record 34
00:40years ago and then you you know you you put Luke Combs on it it goes number one
00:45again who figured I mean anything touches is gold anything you guys touch is gold
00:49when you were like let's you know maybe redo this again was Luke just we're just
00:53gonna do it with Luke like was it was that always the goal or was it actually
00:56well you know we had just we had we had recut the track uh-huh because you know if
01:00there was anything good that came out of COVID uh it was where a lot of young
01:06people had started you know you know finding you know artists and music and
01:12stuff like that man we started getting a bunch of tick tocks of girls that were
01:16you know singing well you know so and so done me wrong and then you know if he if he
01:19wants to treat me right he'd give me two dozen and we started getting them over
01:24and over and over again and they started exploding then all sudden you know uh
01:30some folks in the audience would would send us at a Luke show you know would send
01:35us you know uh videos of him doing uh-huh doing the songs and yeah and he's
01:40doing it on his show and and then we know a lot of a lot of folks in his camp and
01:45and uh they're going yeah man yeah yeah Luke's doing two you know really yeah
01:49yeah that man I'll send you a little clip so so then we got to think well you
01:53know look if somebody's gonna cover this town you know as popular as this thing's
01:57going somebody's gonna cover it so before they take it away from us
02:02man probably best if we recut it so we got to think well you know if Luke's doing
02:06it live and he likes it good enough he put it to his show maybe we can jump on it
02:10and we can do it that way so we did and the next thing you know we he and I
02:14started going back forth with text and uh next thing you know he he's in the
02:19studio and and throwing down the old second verse is so you go back in to
02:23recut it is it like riding a bike or are you like I got a little rusty I gotta you
02:26know I gotta do this or you just jump right back into it I tell you what uh it
02:31actually was a little little bit of work and I'll tell you the reason why it
02:35was is because uh Noah Gordon our producer he he he wanted me to do it you
02:39know look after 34 years you know things morph yeah you know you know and
02:44if you want to keep it keep it energetic you want to keep it live and you want to
02:48keep it you know where it's where it's new to you so that you get out there
02:51every night and you got a little spark in it you know you you you you put a new
02:55put a put a new little wrinkle in it and then Noah said that man let's do it as
03:01close to the original I literally had to listen to the to the record listen to
03:05yourself yeah do it again and and try to you know try to calm it down to where you
03:11know where you get carried away when you're doing it live where I could you know I could
03:15do it like the record you know and that's so honest and true to you I mean there
03:19actually was some work involved in that so we're talking about Luke a whole bunch of
03:23other people on the album I'm a big Zac Brown man Fran Zac Brown I think he's got a
03:27great voice um you guys match up pretty closely I think it's kind of that was a match
03:32made in heaven to me yeah he's uh man he's quite a talent you really wouldn't it
03:37and them guys that he runs around with pretty talented too man they really are
03:42we are live at the CMA Awards thanks to the four and four well of a game last
03:46night by the oh let me all right so now we're gonna talk about the Eagles it's
03:48great game are you a Dallas fan uh used to be are you a college football fan no you
03:53know absolutely I'm a Packers fan all right I don't I like I'm an Aaron Rodgers fan
03:58so I think we're crimson tight oh yeah we got a couple we got a couple Bama guys
04:02we got Devontae Smith on the Eagles and he is um unbelievable Jalen Jalen Hurts
04:08are you do you still do you still say Jalen Hurts do you still count him because
04:11he transferred I count him Jalen Hurts didn't transfer he went to Oklahoma
04:14we don't talk about Oklahoma we don't talk about Oklahoma he played the
04:18championship with us he might have been taken out the second half but he he's
