00:00Thank you so much for watching Riff TV.
00:02Now, this interview is obviously with video, but I don't interview everybody on Zoom.
00:07That's why I put it on my Talkin' Rock with Meltdown podcast.
00:10We talk to rock artists from all over the genre.
00:13So check out Talkin' Rock with Meltdown wherever you get your podcasts.
00:16And now, to today's video interview.
00:20I didn't even know I was going to be talking to you today, and I wore my Detroit Kiss shirt.
00:24So, I don't know if you can see it.
00:27Oh, yeah.
00:28There you go.
00:29Oh, look.
00:30Come here, Herman.
00:31Come here, Herman.
00:33Oh, well.
00:34Now you're shy.
00:35Camera shy.
00:36I never asked you.
00:37I don't know if I ever talked to you about this before.
00:39Were you at the Kiss show at Tiger Stadium?
00:42No, I was not there.
00:45I think I was on tour or something like that.
00:48I think I just could make it.
00:50That was the first show.
00:52Yes.
00:53That was the very first show that they got together.
00:56And it sold out in, like, you know, like a minute or something like that.
01:00Yeah.
01:00That was my first, like, because that was in June of 1996.
01:03And I just got here in November of 1995.
01:05So, that was, like, that was, like, my first big, like, Detroit, you know, show, you know.
01:11Yeah.
01:11That was awesome.
01:13So.
01:13What a great first big show to be at is that one.
01:17I mean, that's insane.
01:19My first concert, though, was at the Pontiac Silverdome, which I believe is no longer there.
01:26And it was Iggy Pop, Santana, and the Rolling Stones in 1981.
01:32No kidding.
01:33Yeah.
01:33Who took you there?
01:35My sister and my cousin.
01:37Yeah.
01:37I remember you had to buy the tickets through, like, some cosmetic company.
01:42You had to, like, mail in for the tickets.
01:44It was very weird.
01:46Wow.
01:46And that was a great first concert.
01:47Yeah.
01:47My first concert was Ozzy and Motley, that tour in 1984.
01:52Come on.
01:53Yeah.
01:54Are you serious?
01:55Yeah.
01:56So, that was the one.
01:57I saw it in Buffalo, where I grew up in January.
01:59But that was the tour that Ozzy snorted the ants, supposedly.
02:03Yes.
02:04That's true.
02:04Yeah.
02:05Yeah.
02:05Yeah.
02:05God, what a great first concert.
02:08Yeah.
02:08The band Wasted opened up.
02:09You remember that band?
02:11No.
02:12It was Pete Way from Fastway.
02:14Oh, nice.
02:16And the music was playing in the auditorium.
02:18It was Bubba Riley from The Who.
02:20And at the part, the last part where they go, they're all wasted.
02:23The guy yelled, wasted.
02:24And the lights went down and the whole thing.
02:25Oh, that's cool.
02:27And that's funny, because Bubba Riley, that's, Kiss has been using that forever for their intro.
02:34Yeah.
02:35Forever.
02:36Oh, there's Herman.
02:36Oh, there he goes.
02:37So, anyways, we'll talk about Motley here in a few minutes.
02:42But you texted me earlier about a documentary.
02:44So, what's going on?
02:46Yeah.
02:46I have this documentary that's coming out.
02:49And it's about, you know, like, kind of going after your dream and picking up and taking a risk.
02:56And, like, you know, just kind of going for it.
03:00And it talks about this guy, Mike Savage, was like, oh, we want to do this documentary on you and all this stuff.
03:08And I was like, you know, okay.
03:10If it's, like, about, like, inspiration and going for your dreams, let's do it, you know.
03:17So, it starts out, you know, everything is in Michigan.
03:21It starts out like that.
03:23And going through, like, the War Memorial and Grosse Pointe South and blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.
03:30And then moving to California.
03:31And everybody's in the documentary from, you know, Dolly Parton to, you know, Tommy and Nicky and Michael Anthony and Katie Lang and Zombie.
03:46And everybody's in this documentary.
03:48It's really, really cool.
03:50And that's going to be coming out very soon.
03:52So, I'm super excited about it.
03:55Is that the one that you were filming while you were here, when you played here, right before the pandemic broke?
04:01I believe so, yes, yes.
04:03So, you know, we were going to put it out.
04:06And then the Molly thing happened.
04:10I was like, well, maybe we should wait and, you know, add some of that in, you know, as a really good ending.
04:18Do you have a title when it's coming out, all that kind of stuff?
04:22I think it's going to be called A Hollywood Dream.
04:26So, it's, so, because that's kind of what it is.
04:31You know, I just kind of took a chance.
04:32You know, I could have easily stayed in Gross Point.
04:37Sorry.
04:38I could have easily stayed in Gross Point and just, you know, been fine and stuff.
04:42But I took a chance and, you know, rolled the dice and slept in a dirty old rehearsal room for years and, you know, went for it.
04:52Just never gave up on my dream, you know?
04:55Yeah, I kind of did the same thing.
04:57And I don't, you know, I'm trying to make my interviews about me.
04:59But it's like when I was 20 years old, I had this job with benefits and I was making, you know, a decent living for a 20-year-old kid.
05:07And I gave it all up to have no benefits and get $5 an hour and try to make it in radio.
05:13Yeah, there you go.
05:14But see, aren't you glad you did, you know?
05:16But that's what it's about, you know?
05:19Like, everybody has a dream, but it's tough.
05:24But you've got to give it a shot.
05:26You've got to give it a shot because you'll never know.
05:29You'll never know.
05:29Like, oh, I could have, would have, should have.
05:32But, I mean, life without risk is no life at all.
05:36So, I think that's really important because there's so many musicians, so many great artists, actors, sports figures that are just in their room, but, you know, are afraid to take that next step, that next leap.
05:54And I think there's so many people, like, that I know that are incredible musicians or sports figures that are, like, just, like, really nervous about taking that next step.
06:09And thank God we have, you know, so many great artists and actors that were from small towns or anything like that and said, well, you know what, I'm going to give this a shot.
06:22Because, who knows, we might not have a, you know, Eddie Van Halen or a Paul McCartney or anybody or a Little Richard.
06:32Who knows, you know, all these people, if they just made that decision, like, eh, I don't know.
06:38Well, that leads me to the Motley thing.
06:40So, how hard or how easy was it to leave a situation that you were in for 15, 16 years and go to join Motley Crue?
06:48Obviously, you knew these guys for a long time.
06:49You're big fans of theirs, but was it easy?
06:52Was it hard?
06:53Was it, where does that lay?
06:55Well, it was very difficult, of course, because me and Rob were 17 years, very close, had a wonderful working relationship, a friend relationship.
07:07And we made so much, so much great music together.
07:12And this opportunity came and I was like, you know, got to do this for me.
07:19And, you know, I want to see this through my eyes and experience everything I can experience in my life.
07:32And I, you know, I'm happy I did.
07:35It's like the greatest thing ever.
07:38I mean, I'll be on these private plane and playing these massive shows and, you know, it's just a dream.
07:48And that's what's important because there's so many musicians that are, or actors or anybody, artists that are like, I don't know, you know, it's one in a million shot.
08:02But, like, you got to do it.
08:04And there wasn't any part of you that was thinking no.
08:09I was, no, but I just was very nervous about talking to my friend about it and trying to explain to him my situation and how I felt and what I wanted to do.
08:26Yeah.
08:27What was it like the first time you played with Motley?
08:29Like, not on the stage, but, like, maybe in rehearsal or something.
08:31Well, it was funny because I'm always, and this is a true story, I'm always very prompt.
08:40Like, I was here before you were here.
08:42Exactly.
08:42It's not as if you had punched in.
08:43Right, exactly.
08:45So I'm very, you know, I'm always on time or maybe even a little early.
08:51And it was rehearsal.
08:54And I was like, okay, cool, man.
08:57I'm really early.
08:58So I'm going to go to Target and I'm going to get, like, stuff for the tour.
09:03I'm going to get, like, toothpaste and floss and deodorant and blah, blah, blah.
09:08I'll go to Target.
09:08And then so I walk into rehearsal with all my stuff.
09:13And they're like, dude, where have you been?
09:14And I'm like, what are you talking about?
09:15I still got, like, 15 minutes.
09:17And they're like, rehearsal started, like, 45 minutes ago.
09:20And I was like, oh, my God.
09:22So I was shocked.
09:25I couldn't believe that happened.
09:27But when we started playing, it was magical.
09:30It was magical, you know, we, with a show, there's certain, like, how bands have certain endings or they have certain intros or things are different from the record.
09:43But we played and we played from the first note to the last note all the way through, no stopping.
09:51And we could have played a show that day.
09:53And it was incredible because I just worked and worked and worked and concentrated and watched these shows every day and what hits they're hitting here and how they're hitting this and what happens here and how are they – they took this part out.
10:12So I was so prepared.
10:13So I came in and just – and did it like that.
10:16It was very smooth.
10:18And they were like, well, now what are we going to do, you know?
10:20So it was great.
10:22And the first show, you know, it's online and you could just see me.
10:26I'm just smiling and looking around and all that stuff and waving to people and stuff.
10:32It was like after you, like, lose your virginity.
10:34And I was like, I just had sex with, you know, blah, blah, blah, this girl.
10:38And, you know, you're so excited and all that stuff.
10:40That's how I was.
10:41That is hysterical.
10:42I remember I texted you.
10:43I'm like, hey, tell me about the show.
10:44And I think you just texted me back.
10:46It was perfect.
10:47There was something like that.
10:49It's like, you know, I mean, talk about childhood dreams.
10:52And just like you were just talking about, it's like you've been a Motley fan as long as I've known you.
10:56And obviously a lot longer than that.
10:58But just to stand up on the stage with those guys must have been just incredible.
11:03Yeah, it was weird.
11:04It was very – it went right back to my childhood, of course.
11:07But then, which was so weird, is the second night, only the second show I played with them, Ace and Peter came.
11:17And they drove, like, I think hours and hours.
11:21They were, like, Ace got in his car.
11:24And, like, dude, they drove hours to see this show.
11:29And it was so cool because I didn't want them to come to the first show.
11:32I was like, you know, what if I just stand there and the guitar is feeding back?
11:37And I'm like, like, pee all down my – you know, I'm just a mess.
11:43But, no, but they came and they just stood next to each other and were watching.
11:47It was so weird, you know, so weird.
11:51That's great, though.
11:51But, I mean, man, more your childhood heroes.
11:54Exactly.
11:55And that's what I'm talking about, like, about the – going back to the documentary, like, you have to go for your dreams.
12:04You've got to take risks and, you know, make sure the risk is, you know, something safe.
12:12You're not going to, like, jump off a building.
12:13But if you want to go for a certain job or an audition or anything like that, you know, do it.
12:22Yeah, someone told me years ago to put yourself in uncomfortable situations because you never know what might happen.
12:28Right.
12:29Yes.
12:29Yeah.
12:30So, you know, the first show you played, if I'm not mistaken, that was on the Def Leppard tour?
12:35That was the big stadium shows?
12:38That was – actually, we did two warm-up shows at Atlantic City.
12:44Oh, yeah.
12:44And I wonder why.
12:47Now that I'm thinking about it, I wonder why we did warm-up shows.
12:51I wonder if it was because of me.
12:53Maybe.
12:54I mean, it makes sense.
12:55What if, like – who knows?
12:56What if I just stood there and, like, just played guitar solo through Home Sweet Home or something?
13:01They didn't know what was going to happen.
13:03So, yeah, we did these two warm-up shows.
13:05And then we went to South America, and it was – it was on, man.
13:11It was on.
13:13And it was, like, massive, massive stadiums.
13:18And we just – it was really warm because it was, like, February.
13:25I think it was February when those warm-up shows were, and then we went to South America.
13:30But it was really warm outside, so it was gorgeous weather.
13:34And we were on this plane.
13:36You know, like, the planes you take to Europe?
13:38That's, like – I think they're, like, 500 seats or something.
13:41Like, that's massive.
13:42And that was our private plane.
13:44It was Motley Crue and Def Leppard and the whole road crew and everything.
13:48And we were on this plane.
13:50It was – I mean, that right there was crazy.
13:53And then we would land, and we were in this nice hotel, and we would all hang out and, like, hang out at the pool and eat and go shopping.
14:02And tons of fans were outside of the hotel.
14:07And I would go down and say hello to everybody and listen to the fans' stories and what they were – like, what their feedback was.
14:16And I liked to engage with the fans and stuff like that.
14:20And it was so – it was such an incredible time.
14:25Like, it's a time in my life that I'll never forget.
14:28And – but then it all goes bad because one day Tommy was, like – and I was, like, didn't think anything.
14:39And I was, like, he got a little caught.
14:41And then he's, like, oh, I don't feel so good.
14:44And then Nicky was, like – and I was, like, oh, no.
14:49Now they're both coughing.
14:51And we all hang out together.
14:53So we all – and we have all these cars that take us, like, four SUVs to the show.
14:59But we want to hang out with each other.
15:01So we're all squeezed in in this one car.
15:03So we're all talking in each other's face like this.
15:06So what's up, dude?
15:07Yeah, yeah, yeah.
15:08Oh, yeah, that's – yeah, that's – yeah.
15:10So then all of a sudden I get sick.
15:13So we're all sick in it.
15:14We called it the Motley Flu.
15:16But it was right near the end of the tour.
15:19But we all got it.
15:20So –
15:21That is – yeah, that's crazy.
15:23So obviously, you know, you're tight with Tommy and Nicky and stuff like that.
15:26How does your relationship like that translate to playing music with them on stage?
15:33It's strange because, you know, you have, like, little quirky things with your friends
15:40and, like, little gestures or funny things.
15:45And those funny things, if you watch any of these shows online, those funny things will escalate on stage while you're working.
15:56So it's like if you're working some job and you and your friends are screwing around and making each other laugh, and that's what it's like on stage.
16:05And so, like, if me and Nicky are singing in the mic together, he'll step on my foot so hard, you know, like, just out of fun.
16:16And we'll, like, you know, mess around with each other, you know, just try to make each other laugh.
16:22And that's what we do.
16:25You know, we just have a blast on stage.
16:27It's really, really fun.
16:29Now, what did you learn about Motley Crue that you didn't know before going on tour with them?
16:35Is there something that you take away and go, man, I didn't realize that, you know, even though you've been a fan or a friend of theirs for so long?
16:41It is very, very, like, they're very punctual.
16:50They're really – everything is so professional, and they're so respectful of each other's time, and it's very – everything is very serious.
17:03Like, they're meet and greets.
17:05Everything is very serious.
17:06We have to be here.
17:07We have to be there.
17:08We have to be – you know, they're very –
17:11They're great to the fans, and I think it really makes me happy because they always talk about, like, the show, and they're very particular.
17:22Oh, about this and that and that, and they always talk about the show after the show or the next day, and we're on a group text, and we'll talk about, like, oh, this or that about the show or the fans.
17:34And, like, they're very into, like, talking to the fans and hearing what they say and stuff.
17:42It's – they're really – it's – they're really great people because they're so serious and into it, you know?
17:51They're just wonderful, wonderful people.
17:54They really are.
17:56I mean, they care a lot.
17:58That's for sure.
17:58Yeah, and as far as new music and stuff is concerned, so where does that stand right now?
18:04Well, we have songs recorded, and I don't know when it's going to come out, but they have – you know, everything is a plan.
18:14Everything is mapped out and structured, and everything is – you know, we're going to do it here and there, blah, blah, blah, blah.
18:23So the songs are recorded, mixed, mastered, and they're so good because, like, I'm, like, I can't wait for them to come out.
18:31They're so good.
18:32I'm really excited about them.
18:35Hold on.
18:35Hold on.
18:36Back up for one second.
18:36So you have a whole album full of stuff done?
18:39No, no.
18:39Just a few songs.
18:40Yeah, I got it.
18:42Yeah.
18:42So, yeah, just, like, these songs we went and recorded, and, you know, who knows what's going to happen.
18:49Like, I don't know if we'll just release singles or an album or, you know, it's up to those guys.
18:56So I don't know, but we just record and see what happens, you know.
19:01But these songs that we recorded are so good.
19:05You know, they're heavy and the melodies and everybody's just killing it on these songs, really.
19:11How much input did you have into them?
19:14Did you bring riffs to the guys or anything?
19:16Oh, yeah.
19:16Just, you know, we all sat in the room and did it together.
19:21So it was just, like, you know, because me and Nicky have written for years and years and years together.
19:27So it was nothing new.
19:30And me and Tommy have worked in the studio together, you know, many times as well.
19:34So it was nothing new being in the studio.
19:37But it was new with Bob Rock.
19:39Because I was like, oh, there's Bob Rock, you know, and I walked in.
19:42Oh, yeah.
19:43You've never worked with him, have you?
19:44No, I never worked with him.
19:46I've worked with everybody, but I haven't worked with him.
19:48But what was so wild was we got in a room.
19:53It was, like, total old school, man.
19:56You get in the live room and there's my amp and there's Nicky's amp and there's Tommy's drums.
20:03There's a mic, Mike, because I'm so used to, like, just playing in the control room.
20:09It's like, oh, no, no, no.
20:10We're all going to get in this room and we're going to play.
20:13And that's how we recorded.
20:15It was incredible.
20:18I've never recorded that way.
20:20I've never recorded that way.
20:22And it was maybe one of the best experiences I had recording.
20:28It was so fun.
20:29Do you think you may record like that in the future with maybe your other projects?
20:33I hope so, because it was a blast.
20:36I had to, like, make notes and all this stuff and we just played through it.
20:42It was incredible.
20:43So what are your thoughts now of Bob Rock after having met him and worked with him a little bit?
20:49Well, there's a reason he's one of the greatest producers out there.
20:54And the guy's incredible.
20:57He's incredible.
20:59Like, I was totally blown away by how he worked and his ideas and everything.
21:08There is a reason Bob Rock is Bob Rock.
21:13Yeah, and those records, I mean, that he produced for Motley back in the day, even the one with Karabi, just sound amazing.
21:20Great albums.
21:22Oh, great albums.
21:23But that's the thing.
21:24They all got in the live room together.
21:27And that was what was so cool.
21:29That's like what I heard, you know, of them telling stories and stuff.
21:34They all got in the live room together.
21:35And that's how they did those records.
21:38And I'm so glad I got to experience that.
21:41You know, obviously, we've known each other for years.
21:43And, you know, it's one of those things where I'm so happy for you because, you know, you've done so many things in your life.
21:49But you're so excited to work with some of these guys, your childhood heroes.
21:53You're not jaded.
21:53It hasn't even really – you're still a fan.
21:57Oh, of course.
21:58I – and that's what I'm so thankful for.
22:01I'm just so – I mean, I'm now 32 years old.
22:07Not really 32 years old.
22:10But I'm still so excited every day.
22:14Like, Nicky was like, oh, this is my rehearsal list.
22:17And I was, like, so excited just about rehearsal coming out, you know?
22:21You know, I'm lucky that I still get, you know, such joy out of playing guitar every hour of every day.
22:32It has still not gone away.
22:34I was just playing guitar before I was talking to you.
22:37Yeah, that doesn't surprise me at all.
22:38It's like you're one of those guys just walks around with your axe strapped on, huh?
22:42Yeah.
22:43Oh, all the time.
22:44All the time.
22:44And, you know, when I don't, I have, like – if I'm, like, in the bathroom, in the bathroom, like, then I'll take, like, you know, this little fella and just, like –
22:55you know, do that kind of stuff, you know?
23:00Because I can walk around with that a lot easier.
23:03That is so cool.
23:05Hey, by the way, I'm just sitting here thinking about this.
23:07The concert I went to with Motley and Ozzy, they actually wrote about in the book The Dirt because Tommy had found out backstage from a fan that his girlfriend at the time had sold naked pictures of them to a skin magazine to afford wedding rings.
23:23Mm.
23:23So that was the concert I was at.
23:26Oh, well, that's cool.
23:27See, that's a good concert to go to.
23:29Yeah, it was kind of cool that I was reading a book, and I'm like, holy crap, that's the one I was at.
23:32Right, so –
23:33I was supposed to go to the one in Detroit, but it was a school night, and I couldn't go.
23:40My mom wouldn't let me go.
23:42Yeah, I paid $12.50 for that experience, and, man, I wish I could have those prices back again today.
23:49Right, I know.
23:50Just add a couple zeros to that.
23:52Yeah.
23:52So you got the machine shop coming up on February 9th.
23:55Hey, you know, I've talked about this with you before, but you just talked about massive stages, and now you're going to play clubs.
24:01But you'll just play wherever there's an amp, right?
24:04I love – I guess I just love being on stage with the guitar in my hand because I get so excited about playing these shows.
24:16I mean, we start in Santa Ana on January 26th, and we go to Los Angeles at the El Rey Theater, and then Vegas and Colorado Springs and Illinois.
24:26So we're hitting everywhere, and I couldn't be more excited.
24:32And it's in the dead of winter.
24:34So, like, I'm like, yeah, let's do it.
24:37That's what I'm talking about.
24:38I'm still just very, very excited about picking and grinning.
24:44And, you know, I love the machine shop, and that show's almost sold out.
24:50That's okay.
24:51Yeah.
24:53I mean, it's so far away.
24:55It's February 9th, but, I mean, the show's almost sold out.
24:59So I'm so happy and thankful for that.
25:03You know, you've been to the show.
25:04You know how we do, like, a medley at the end of the show?
25:08So we're going to do a motley medley.
25:11So it's going to be a lot of fun.
25:14It's going to be really cool.
25:16Yes.
25:16And then you got a new song you're going to be dropping here pretty soon?
25:19Yes.
25:20It's called The Ghost, and it's kind of written about my signature guitar and all that stuff.
25:27And really cool, really heavy.
25:29I'm going to have that come out on Halloween, and super heavy, just crazy, crazy guitar playing like I do.
25:39Yeah.
25:39So it's fun.
25:41No, I'm looking forward to that.
25:42And Don Jameson wanted me to ask you about getting shut down on the Monsters of Rock cruise.
25:46You know, you'll play anywhere, I suppose, but then they shut you down.
25:50Yes, yes.
25:51I guess I was on, like, this cruise and, like, this metal cruise and, like, you know, all this craziness.
25:59And I'm playing, and I'll never forget, I'm doing this bluegrass song.
26:06And I'm playing a banjo at this thing.
26:10And then they shut us down because we weren't out to sea because I won't play, like, on the cruise because I get seasick.
26:18So we're docked, and I'm doing that show.
26:22And they shut us down for volume.
26:25But it was funny.
26:26It wasn't like I was playing, like, you know, death metal or anything.
26:30I seriously was playing bluegrass and playing a banjo.
26:35Maybe the metalheads were like, hey, let's, why don't we shut them down?
26:40Yeah, Roy Clark would have been proud.
26:43Yeah, that's right.
26:45Yeah.
26:45So I think you might have told me about this before.
26:48So you don't go on the cruises?
26:51No, I get seasick.
26:52Okay.
26:54Yeah, so I get seasick.
26:56And, you know, I get really nauseous.
26:59And I'm like, oh, God, what a nightmare.
27:02You know, if I was stuck down there and stuff, oh, I'd be dying.
27:07So, yeah, I've never done it.
27:08But I always get asked, you know, and I'm very thankful that I get asked and stuff like that.
27:12But, yeah, I was once on, like, a little boat.
27:16And I was like, you know, I was like, oh, oh, oh, oh.
27:23You know, and I was like, oh, I'll never do that again.
27:26Yeah.
27:26Hey, now, this is your time of year coming up.
27:29I mean, my time, too.
27:30I just love to follow.
27:31Have you checked out any of the horror movies lately?
27:35The Nun is great.
27:37I saw that, yeah.
27:37you know really good um what else i think everybody should see the nun in the theater
27:44because that one's like explosive and you gotta get the sound in there and it's just killer
27:48yeah there's so many great ones i mean there's been so many great scary movies that have
27:54come out you know the really great one is that um it follows yeah you know i think that's so
28:01cool and you know a little older the witch and all that those all those ones that like don't really
28:08have the crazy special effects but i'm excited for the new exorcist i think that'll be fun
28:13you know what about uh are you a fan of saw that's that's coming out uh next week i've seen all the

28:44i haven't seen a preview or anything yeah the the haunting in venice and the nun both brought in
28:49around 15 million dollars this weekend they were like uh one and two so uh but yeah the nun was
28:54fantastic i met her by the way uh bonnie i met her a few months back oh really yeah at the one of the
29:01comic cons here from the guys from twisted do you know the twisted guys yes yes i do big fans and i
29:07mean i think they're great but think about this like were there these cons these conventions back when
29:17we were kids yeah no they weren't no i mean i think there were not like little like maybe star
29:24trek ones or something like that like but they were very underground but could you imagine going to meet
29:31like linda blair like you know or or anybody or jack nicholson back in the day like you'd lose your
29:40mind yeah i think the closest we probably had when we were kids was the autoramas and they'd bring in
29:44like you know uh burt ward or whatever his name you know batman or you know i'm talking about
29:49when they yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah of course adam west adam west all those guys yeah right exactly
29:54yeah yeah which was cool you know but uh i mean could you imagine it like go or like peter chris is
30:03over there you'd lose your mind you know like what this is the greatest thing ever you know and you can
30:09get popcorn a hot dog you know you're all set this is uh you know there's a lot of things that
30:13that happen nowadays that weren't around where kids they didn't have those big these big festivals
30:17like none of that stuff was around and uh there's a lot of craziness going on and now that's pretty
30:25much all you see is these festivals but it's great but i mean just think of being out
30:32in the sun the blazing sun since like 10 a.m to 10 p.m you know i heard it was at the uh
30:43incarceration there's no shade anywhere everybody was outside all day long yeah yeah yeah i i played
30:50that a few times and i went up into that uh into that prison it's really crazy i mean that's insane
30:58they they said they would like when kid like back in like the 30s or the 40s like if little kids like
31:07if they're like you know 10 12 13 if they were like going down the wrong path or something they'd
31:13take them to that jail and put them in a cell not would they put them in a cell alone but there were
31:20like these crazy murderers and everything like just to set these kids straight you know to scare
31:27straight yes you're right right could you imagine that happening today no way no i mean that would
31:35be terrible oh yeah let's take jimmy to the uh to the prison and see if we can scare them straight
31:41oh my god it wouldn't work for me of course yeah but you can't do that kind of stuff anymore but uh
