00:00Well, Candace, obviously confused, because she wants another date with this guy, Drew.
00:04It sounded like a fun date down in Riverview.
00:07Yeah, they went to a barbecue place, and she said he walked her to her car,
00:13and he said, I can't wait to see you again.
00:16They talked about going out on another date, and she's like, he hasn't contacted me,
00:20so I was like, all right, well, what happened after the date?
00:21What did you do?
00:22And she's like, I didn't do anything.
00:24They didn't even follow each other on social media, so that's out.
00:26Yeah, well, she also said they were flirting, there was a little hand-touching,
00:30shoulder-brushing, that type of thing, so good chemistry.
00:32They definitely liked each other.
00:33So here's the deal.
00:34We did talk to Drew off the air, and he did agree to come on with us, okay?
00:38So we want to bring him back on to get his side of things, so let's talk to Drew right now.
00:43Drew, are you there?
00:44Yeah, what's up?
00:46Hey, man, we really do appreciate you coming on with us.
00:48You just heard what we had to say about your date.
00:51I mean, we really want to set up another date for you guys,
00:53and Candace obviously really wants to see you again.
00:56What's holding this up?
00:57Yeah, so I just want to set this sort of straight.
01:02I do not have any interest in meeting up with Candace again.
01:07She was very rude on the date, and honestly, seemingly a little clueless about the dynamic
01:14of the situation, so I just...
01:17What happened?
01:18Okay, so basically while we were eating dinner, like, you know, a barbecue meal in the middle
01:28of dinner, she all of a sudden hands me, like, one of those dental floss picks.
01:34Okay, gotcha, yeah.
01:36And, like, asks me pretty casually, like, hey, like, can you, like, you've got food in
01:41your teeth, like, can you floss?
01:44It's sort of, like, distracting, and, like, can you do that?
01:48And I was, like, really taken aback.
01:50Sort of thought it was a joke, but she was just holding this little toothpick, like, sort
01:54of in front of me, and...
01:56Wait, she requested that you floss?
01:59Yeah, yeah, she requested that I floss in the middle of the meal.
02:02What?
02:03Because she said it was disturbing?
02:05Distracting.
02:06Distracting?
02:06She, it was just, yeah, she, like, said she was having a hard time, like, eating.
02:10Because all she was doing was focusing on that piece of food that was stuck in between
02:14your teeth.
02:14So what'd you do?
02:15Did you take it?
02:16I was, like, at first I thought it was a joke, and then I took it, and I was, like,
02:20okay, and then I didn't want to really do it at the table, because I think that's
02:25gross.
02:26Right.
02:26I was in the, like, went to the bathroom, like, washed my hands, and, like, did it sort
02:31of just in this state of shock, like, whoa, what's going on?
02:33Well, you're probably embarrassed a little bit, too.
02:36Yeah, I mean, it's, like, she's, like, shaming me into flossing because it's inconveniencing
02:41her in the middle of a first date.
02:43Anyways, and then I got back, and she's, like, oh, like, thanks, that's much better.
02:49That's much better.
02:51Oh, man.
02:53Wow.
02:53I mean, nobody wants to have food stuck in their teeth.
02:57No, but also, you don't want to get called out about it either.
03:00Oh.
03:01On a first date?
03:02I understand doing that, like, at the appropriate time, but we were in, like, we kept eating
03:08after.
03:09She's like, before I finish my meal, I need you to floss, basically.
03:12Yeah, like, mid-meal, a mid-meal floss.
03:15Like, what, and just how casually she sort of asked.
03:19That's probably not a big deal to her.
03:21I mean, she probably says this all the time.
03:24I mean, I floss my teeth in the studio all the time in front of you guys.
03:27Well, yeah, but I've known you a long time.
03:29I was on a first date.
03:31You know, it's not the first time I've ever worked with you.
03:33That's true.
03:34Well, listen, here's the deal, Drew.
03:36I could see why you'd be taken back by that.
03:39We do have Candice with us on the phone.
03:41We told you that.
03:42And I want to bring her back on.
03:44Candice?
03:45Yeah, here I thought I was being nice by telling you that you had something in your teeth,
03:49and you think something of it like that?
03:52I mean, it's clearly, like, a pretty rude thing to do in the middle of a first day when
03:58we just met in the middle of dinner.
04:00Rude, rude, not to tell you.
04:00I don't understand how you don't see that that's sort of a weird and rude thing to do.
04:06Because you would stuff in your teeth, and I was trying to help you out.
04:10But were you acting grossed out by this, Candice?
04:12Like, oh, man, I can't eat unless you floss?
04:14I mean.
04:15Yeah, she did act grossed out.
04:18That's so weird.
04:19That's not how I felt.
04:22Like, this is not how it went.
04:23Like, here I thought I was doing a good thing by telling you that you had, like, crap in
04:28your teeth, and you take it like that.
04:31Crap in my teeth?
04:32Like, there was, like, a corn thing that I was eating.
04:37Like, that gets stuck in your teeth all the time.
04:40It's annoying that you think that I was being rude or whatever, when here I just think I'm
04:44trying to be helpful, so I don't even know what to say.
04:46Well, Candice, do you think you could have told him after the meal instead of, like,
04:50right in the middle?
04:50I mean, because, like, that was kind of what you insisted on, right?
04:53You insisted on he flossed, like, in the middle of the meal?
04:56Yeah, I mean, it was staring right at me.
04:58Like, I don't want to look at that.
05:00Like, get it out.
05:02Got it.
05:03And the fact that you aren't seeing how it could possibly be rude is even more alarming
05:09a little bit.
05:10Whatever.
05:11Yeah, guys, I kind of feel like if you're fighting over something in your teeth, this
05:15may not be the best start to a successful relationship.
05:18Yeah, seriously.
05:18But at least we got to the bottom of it.
05:20I mean, like, he wouldn't even talk to me.
05:22So, like, at least we got answers.
05:24Wow.
05:24Well, Drew, I'm taking it that you have no interest in seeing Candice again.
05:27You said that already.
05:28I'm just going to clarify that.
05:30Yeah, that's correct.
05:31Please don't text me anymore.
05:32All right.
05:33Well, Candice, now you know what happened.
05:35And I guess it just was a little too forward for Drew.
05:38And I'm sorry we couldn't make another date happen for you.
05:41Don't be sorry.
05:42Sounds like it's for the best.
05:43Okay.
05:43Sounds good.
05:44All right, guys.
05:45You take care.
05:46Yeah, thank you.
05:46All right.
05:47Okay.
05:48Listen, if it's you and I at lunch, all right, and you go, J.R., you got something in your teeth.
05:52I'm like, you're my friend.
05:53I get it.
05:54But if we're on, like, a date and it's something you don't know and it's in the middle of the meal and it's like, hey, do you mind going and flossing?
06:01Because I can't.
06:02It's a little distracting to me.
06:03When you say it like that.
06:05That's how she said it.
06:06I mean, I also do think that he should have maybe had some tougher skin than that, thicker skin than that.
06:12I'm surprised a guy is turning a girl down for a date over that.
06:16He's probably going to be a little embarrassed, don't you think?
06:18Well, then, I can't believe he came on their show with us.
06:21I mean, now he just made it worse.
06:24All right, we're at on this 800-992-1099, 800-992-1099.
06:29We're at on this 800-992-1099.
