00:00How can you tell that someone who has passed away is contacting you?
00:07What happened to my family on Saturday morning was no, like, there was no question about what happened.
00:18And it's so weird because it's not like one of those things where a bird showed up and whenever a blue jay shows up.
00:23Yeah.
00:24This was like contact.
00:26So a lot of you may or may not know, but my mom passed away from breast cancer in November.
00:33Love her to death.
00:34She fought it hard.
00:36In August, she told us she wasn't going to do it anymore.
00:38It came back.
00:39We prayed with her, prayed for her.
00:41And luckily for us, it didn't last another year of suffering.
00:44She passed away in November.
00:48So my dad turned off her cell phone and turned it in to AT&T with my brother's help.
00:54Canceled the number.
00:55Canceled everything.
00:56Yeah.
00:57Yep.
00:57And Saturday.
01:00No, I take that back.
01:00Friday was my niece Shay's 18th birthday.
01:05And Shay was the oldest granddaughter to my mom.
01:08Sweetest person on the planet.
01:09I love Shay so much.
01:10I love her dearly.
01:12She got a phone call from my mom's cell phone.
01:18Shay did?
01:19On her 18th birthday at 9.15 in the morning.
01:23Get out of here.
01:24That is trippy.
01:28And like I have goosebumps from head to toe.
01:31Right?
01:32Because I really do believe like, like I've had some experiences where I'm like, whoa,
01:37that was my dad and that.
01:41I mean, you put so many posted the screenshot up at at the MRL show and it's a screenshot
01:47of the call log.
01:48Like it says 912 missed call.
01:53And I blurred out the number because immediately I'm skeptical.
01:57I'm always like I always go to a scientific or some sort of explanation.
02:01And I said, I bet you Shay put the house number in as the cell phone number.
02:05And maybe pop who still lives at home called her and it came up as that, but it didn't because
02:10I blurred out mom's number.
02:12So now let's call it and see what happens.
02:15Okay.
02:16You know, and why you're doing that, like, let's just play devil as an advocate, right?
02:20Like somebody got the phone number.
02:22It's being used now.
02:23What are the odds that that number accidentally dials your, your, your mom's granddaughter
02:30on her 18th birthday?
02:32Yes.
02:33The odds are weird, right?
02:34Insane.
02:35The number you dialed is not a working number.
02:38Oh, now I really have goosebumps.
02:41But that's got to make you happy.
02:43Oh, it made all of us happy.
02:44Yeah.
02:44It made me happy.
02:45It made me happy for about five seconds.
02:47And I realized that I was mad that she didn't call me.
02:48Like, why is she calling Shay?
02:50Because it was her birthday.
02:51Don't.
02:52I know.
02:52Don't be a party pooper.
02:54Believe me, Dean and my niece who also live here, my son, Dean, and my niece had the same
02:58reaction.
02:58I always took signs from my dad of like, if I had a dream about him or if I did see a
03:03rainbow, because we talked about that, like specifically before he passed.
03:08And like, there's like, I can come up with reasons that those things happened.
03:13Like this, you can't come up with a reason.
03:16I just called the phone live on the air.
03:17It's dead.
03:18The line doesn't work.
03:19That's nuts.
03:20And it called her at 915.
03:22By the way, can we talk about one more thing?
03:26Your niece, her battery is about to die at 9 a.m.
03:31She must not have plugged it in overnight.
03:36Rhonda and Maiden said, oh, my God, that was for sure your mom, Aeney.
03:39Yeah.
03:40I want to hear other stories like this.
03:42Like, did you have a weird moment where, you know, like maybe the doorbell rang or maybe
03:48you got a phone call to anybody else get a phone call from someone who is dead?
03:51I'd love to hear those stories.
03:53Crystal in Knoxville.
03:54Hi.
03:54Welcome to the Manny Roy and the Rents show.
03:56Hey, how are you?
03:58A little, a little, like, I don't know how I feel.
04:01Not shaken.
04:03Right?
04:03You're not shaken by it.
04:05I'm shook by the whole thing, but not like in a bad way.
04:08Right.
04:09Surprised.
04:10Yes.
04:10I think it's very cool, but a little, a little creepy, but cool.
04:14Yeah, exactly.
04:15Yeah.
04:15What did you want to say?
04:17So my father was a mechanic, and on the day of his funeral, we, the hearse was started
04:22and ready to go.
04:23As soon as we put his casket into the hearse and shut the doors, the hearse just died.
04:30And so we were convinced that that was him because he's a mechanic and it was working just
04:34fine.
04:35And so now, that meant we had to take his casket out, put him into a new hearse, and
04:40so it's very fitting.
04:42I'm not going.
04:43Let me work on one more.
