00:00McCord out of Syracuse this guy can rip it. I love winners and this guy wins. He
00:05won big in high school, he won big at Ohio State, and he came to Syracuse and
00:10he turned that program around. The number one passing team in the country is the
00:15Syracuse Orangemen and it's because of this cat McCord. He gets better and
00:20better and better. I'm anxious to see where his game is because I got a
00:25feeling this guy can go a long way man. You know everybody talks about how much
00:28of a jump it is from college to the NFL, so just kind of testing myself. I think
00:33it'll be a good test run for whatever NFL offense I'm in. I do think I'm the best
00:37quarterback in this draft. I feel like playing this position you have to have
00:40that mindset every single time you step on the field that you're the best player.
00:52You know me, you know I love football statistics and let me tell you an
00:56impressive stat. The Chevy Silverado is the undisputed champion. Capability,
01:02versatility, and strength. That's a truck with MVP stats. Explore Chevy Silverado at
01:10Chevy.com. QB Class is presented by Chevy Silverado.
01:14Well, well, well. Kyle McCord, the Syracuse Orange man. What's going on? 6'3". Is that
01:23218? Is that pretty accurate? Yep. 6'3", 218. In Mount Laurel, New Jersey. Sir. I just want to
01:29reflect real quick on your career at St. Joseph's Prep. Is that Marvin Harrison?
01:33That is Marvin. Was he your receiver there? Yeah, it was a little unfair. Your dad. Okay.
01:39Derek McCord, he played quarterback at Rutgers for Dick Anderson. He did. He had me three years old
01:44taking five-step drops in the backyard from under center. But yeah, I owe a lot of my success to
01:50what he did, especially for me early on. What's Mark Sanchez in this number six? Sanchez is one of
01:56my very best friends. He comes in here all the time. What has Mark Sanchez in that number got to do
02:02with you and you wearing that number? So I grew up a Jets fan. I wore number six because of him
02:06and it just stuck. The Jets are going to love you after this meeting. You want to go play for the
02:12Jets and wear number six? That'd be a hell of a story, wouldn't it? You chose Ohio State. Yep.
02:17And you were there for three seasons. You just hung around and were patient? Is that what your
02:22thinking was? Yeah. I sat behind CJ for two years and in the moment, obviously wanted to compete and
02:27play, but looking back on it, that was the best thing I could have done, being able to learn from him.
02:30So you go through these two years of battling and backing up and competing, and now it's 2023.
02:37It's you and this Devin Brown guy. He's wearing a weird number. I saw you guys play at Indiana in
02:42your first game. My dad coached at IU. Matter of fact, I'm sitting in the end zone up in the boxes,
02:47right in the end zone. You threw this all go out there to Marvin. Bottom line though is you love
02:51this play, don't you? Bread and butter. Four verticals. I want you to rip through all go the way you see
02:56that play. At Syracuse, we would call them Pumas. And so if they're press or cloud, they can convert.
03:03If not, they're falling out at 14 and then seam read. So keeping it skinny versus one high. So
03:09that'd be hash plus three and then two high. We're teaching them to bend it inside that safety. Same
03:14thing to the field. And then the same thing, got a Puma on the outside back checking protection.
03:20And then he has two way go. Get the red ink, will you? And circle that check option. Okay.
03:26Yeah. Have a seat here. Let's watch a couple of these. 70% of the time when I study this concept,
03:31we call it all go. The back gets the ball. You with me? Yep. And I really want to just make sure,
03:37even though you have that cannon, let's not forget these check downs. Yes. So here we are,
03:42we're playing Penn state. We're at Ohio state. You remember how you called this? Yeah. So this would
03:46just be three by one Trump, right? And then yak. And then this is just, hello. Hello. It's
03:50just four birds. I love this because it's an example of you doing what? Checking the ball
03:54down. Which is not what Kyle McCord wants to do, man. But this is a drill we're going to do today
04:00where you're going to get moved off the spot. And I want you to make a note about awkward
04:04check downs. You're gonna have to check it down with the sidearm off balance delivery. And I want
04:10you to only throw it when that back gives you his eyes. You feel his eyes? Yep. That's a great play by
04:15you here, man. Great. I mean, I love it. You seem to really like this concept. Yeah.
04:20Where are you with your eye manipulation? Just take your drop in the gun and say, I'm the post safety.
04:26Yeah. So if you're the post safety saying, I want to work this way, they can only see your face mask.
04:31So I'm having my head here, but my eyes are on the side of my head. So if you're taking your drop,
04:36your face mask is looking that way. So he thinks you're working that way. So you can move them
04:40and then you can still periphery that left side and then take your drop. And you just want to take
04:44a neutral drop. Like, I don't think there's any reason to have to turn your shoulders and make it
04:48harder on yourself. Just take your neutral drop and then let that thing rip. Neutral drop. Neutral
04:53drop. You know what, man, that's a new word. I'm using that, but we know 70% of the time on all go in
05:00the NFL, where is it going? To the check down. It's going to the check down. Make a note about first year
05:05starter and circle it. I don't think people realize this. You were a first year starter at
05:10Ohio state, right? A lot of pressure. Then you go to Syracuse and you're a first year starter.
05:16Now you're going to the NFL and you're a first year starter. Nobody has any patience anymore.
05:21None. But my point to you is you got to learn that there are going to be growing pains.
05:26Do you like pressure or do you love it? It's a privilege. I love it. You feel pressure.
05:30That means something's expected out of you. I went to Dayton, man. I was a backup at Dayton.
05:35I wasn't worth a shit. Just so you know, I felt pressure as the backup quarterback at Dayton.
05:40I felt pressure. I wasn't worth a shit. I'm like, Oh God, my girlfriend's here. They might put me
05:45into game. It was raining out. I couldn't throw the wet ball. How did you feel coming out of the
05:51tunnel in the shoe as the Buckeyes starting quarterback? It was a privilege and you know
05:57the standard and you just want to live up to it. What did you learn as you're playing your first six or
06:02seven games at Ohio State? Biggest thing for me was one taking what the defense was giving me. I mean,
06:07this was obviously not a, not a great play here. This was first and 10 too, which makes it even
06:11worse throwing that in the red zone, but just taking what the defense gives you and trusting
06:15your eyes, you know, there's never going to be a perfect read or a perfect play.
06:18One of my favorite plays of this game is they were heating you up with a lot of internal pressure
06:23right up the gut and you checked to this toss crunch play and you hit it for a big game, man.
06:29It was a huge play to get you out of trouble. So just make another note. If you would, you like
06:34making notes here? I know you're learning RCE. Let's recognize, let's communicate and that's going
06:39to lead us to high levels of execution. So today I want you to be audible ready. I'm going to give
06:44you a couple run audibles. The way we're going to word place today is East coast cities are to the
06:49right. West coast cities are to the left. If we're in a bunch formation and you ever get screwed,
06:55the number one run is Chucky. They named it after me because it kills all out blitzes. It crushes
07:02internal action. You with me? Yep. So if I ever said Chucky, Chucky, Chucky, New York,
07:08we're running this play. You guys ran at Ohio state. You with me? Yep. Clay Thompson. Is he an
07:13outside shooter? Yeah. Steph Curry. What do you think the L in Clay stands for? Left or right?
07:18Left. What about the R in Curry? That would be the right. So now let's just say we got
07:23the video people. They come in and they say, Hey, McCord, they heard you audible into Chucky,
07:29New York. Well, now the next time is let's, let's go Chucky, New York, and let's add the
07:35word Clay Thompson. So now we fake the toss and we throw the quick screen back to the X. You
07:40like it? Easy, easy. Chucky, New York. You feel me? Yep. Easy, easy. Chucky, New York.
07:47Clay Thompson. You like knocking on wood? You with me so far? Yeah. You went 12 and
07:520 at Ohio state. 12 and 0. You're going up against the Irish and it's just, they got
07:57to transfer quarterback. You get fourth and goal. What was the play call here? Run fake
08:02and get, get the, uh, back in the flat here, but didn't love it. So that's one. It's your
08:06first read in the flat. And then two is, is backside. Nothing there. No. Make a note about
08:11spider to Y banana, will you? Spider to Y banana, Y banana Z over and Y banana Z hide. I mean,
08:17you guys could use a little help there. And it comes down to this, doesn't it? Yep. Coach
08:21Freeman punted that ball, didn't he? He did. He punted that ball. He's probably thinking
08:24his defense is going to step piss you off. Yeah. I mean, I punted the ball a couple of
08:28times. Drew Brees goes, are you out of your freaking mind? And then Peyton Manning said,
08:33without you, you must, you're going down. Yeah. Did it piss you off? He punted it to you?
08:37Yeah. I mean, I just wanted a chance. You're going over there now. Third and what? 19. Third
08:41and 19. And I'm thinking, what player are they going to go? Come on. You already know
08:45what it's going to be. I'm thinking they're going to run all go. You already know what
08:47it's going to be. But you guys ran my favorite play. I call it vertigo and it's five verticals
08:52out of an empty backfield set. You know, for us, this was really just a walkthrough play.
08:57You know, never got a live rep of this ever. Nobody would ever believe that. Isn't that,
09:01is this unbelievable? Yeah. You never had one rep at it in your life. Just a walkthrough
09:05rep. So we got one once we got off the plane on, on Friday in the parking lot.
09:10But you know, it still didn't get it done. You still got to go down to fourth. It's the
09:13last play of the game. Did you know they had 10 guys on the field?
09:16I felt like there was just an open gap there. And I looked back to the sideline and I kind
09:20of pointed to it. You don't want to make a big scene, you know, have, have them see that
09:24they're missing a guy. You noticed it though, right? Yeah. The luck wasn't with the Irish.
09:27So what was the play call here? This is just 13 cab. What a hell of a win though,
09:31man. What are you saying here? Hey. I mean, you know how those, those Notre Dame.
09:35What are you saying there? Boosters are there. They're letting us hear it all game.
09:39Come on. What are you saying there? No, I don't know if I can repeat.
09:41Come on, man. Let me feel a little Kyle McCord. What are you saying there?
09:44I was probably just telling them to, you know, go the fuck home, beat the traffic.
09:48You know, nobody, no Notre Dame fan is from Indiana. They got flights to catch to go back home
09:53and stuff like that. So I love it. Now you come and you're playing Michigan. I keep hearing
09:57about these two interceptions, this McCord guy threw against Michigan. And I have this feeling,
10:03you know, every interception has a story. There's a lot of reasons. The split was too,
10:09whatever. There's a million reasons. They make a note about an RPO and circle that. RPO stands for
10:15what? Everybody's sitting at home. Run pass option. That's what they say. You know what it stands for
10:19for me? I've seen quarterbacks get their faces planted. So I want you to remember RPOs,
10:27the way I see them, they're for premier looks only. Isn't this an RPO, the first interception?
10:32Yep. Reading that backside back there. And aren't you, you're reading this guy, right?
10:36Yeah. And if he scrapes, isn't this slant going to be wide ass open?
10:40Should be. And what does the receiver have to do on all slants? He's got to cross what?
10:45His face. Doesn't cross face. We got a problem. What'd Marv say on this? He should have crossed face?
10:49Yeah. I mean, I think that he was expecting maybe a little bit of a back shoulder,
10:52back shoulder throw, put it on his body. Miscommunication and you know, it sucks.
10:56Slants. Let's make a note on slants, will you? You know, you're going to have to get these
10:59receivers on the same freaking page, right? Because they don't want coaches to work with
11:03you guys much anymore. They just want, Hey, let's play a fucking double header in Brazil this week.
11:07I don't believe in that, man. I think you got to work. We're going to learn from every one of our
11:11little mistakes. Even if it was somebody else's mistake. Yeah. I personally put that interception
11:16on Harrison. He's got to what? My world. Cross face. I mean, if I'm sitting here with Mike
11:20Congren and Bill Walsh and Brett Favre and Joe Montana, they're going to say,
11:23Jerry Rice walks in, got a cross face. Isn't it true on the interception here at the end of the
11:29game? You got a big play to Marvin who might score. Yeah. I thought, I mean, I saw that cover too.
11:34And you know, dig first cover too is great. Can rip that in backside and, you know, catch a run
11:38for a touchdown. Maybe that was a hell of a drive though. Cause you get two completions and you're,
11:42you're standing back there cooking. Yeah. And so the play before that through a dig and he caught it
11:48and they punched it out and we recovered it. And so we were going tempo. We called switch verts
11:53and we had them, we had them fucked up. And so we're getting on the ball and they call a timeout
11:58to review it right before. So they had an opportunity to kind of scheme it up. And then
12:03we changed the play call. Oh, you changed it. Yeah. And the rest is history, but that's hard to play
12:08quarterback, hard to make throws down the field with that kind of pressure. Yes. Yeah. But anyways,
12:12this is 65%. You throw for 3,200 yards, 24 touchdowns and six picks. That's you, isn't
12:21it? Yeah. And then I do my history. That's the seventh most yards in the history of Ohio
12:27state. Yeah. In your first year and you're 12 and one. Yeah. And you lost the game really
12:32on a couple interceptions that I'm just really trying to be your agent here. Yeah. One of
12:38them was a receiver got a cross face. The other one, you get planted in the ground.
12:43Yeah. What happened now? The Missouri game, it's a bowl game. I go out there and you're not there.
12:48Yeah. Tell people out there what, what happened to you at Ohio state. I don't understand.
12:52Yeah. I mean, it was, I mean, the transfer portal, let's, you know, the wild, wild west,
12:57you know, I had a few conversations and things happened quickly and I decided to get in the
13:01portal before the bowl game. Um, so happened fast. They just couldn't commit to you as the
13:06quarterback or what? Yeah. I mean, it was, uh, just, you know, I thought just going on from year one to
13:12year two, I'd make a big improvement and wanted to come back and, um, you know, they went in a
13:15different direction. Shit, man. Yeah. So you're saying goodbye to the Buckeyes. And just like
13:20that, you go to Syracuse. Now this guy, he comes in and I got to ask you this, Will Howard, he's,
13:25he was in here the other day. He's a hell of a guy too. Do you, do you look at the Buckeyes
13:29thinking son of a bitch? No, I was happy for them. Uh, I think it worked out for me going to
13:34Syracuse and obviously worked out for them. So I think it was one of those rare instances where,
13:39um, both parties benefited from it. Why, why, why'd you go to Syracuse? I don't,
13:43who is this Fran Brown guy? Yeah. So I put my name in the transfer portal Monday at midnight,
13:4918 hours later, he was sitting in my living room telling me why I should come to Syracuse.
13:53There were some previous relationships. Let's not bullshit ourselves. What were those previous
13:57relationships? So he, uh, he worked at Temple. He was a coach at Temple. Fran Brown did. Yup.
14:03And lived in Mount Laurel. And, um, so his wife and my dad worked together in the hospital and my dad
14:08just being stereotypical dad, like showing off my highlights and stuff like that. He came to a
14:13youth game, one of my youth games in sixth grade and then fast forward. So there's only like 15 kids
14:17on that team, small little team. Three of us ended up playing for Syracuse last year. So when I say,
14:21hey, McCord, John Gruden. Yeah. University of Dayton. Yeah. What do you say to me?
14:27The Syracuse university. No, I'm playing. Uh, I'm, I'm all Syracuse. I saw some of the same
14:33concepts you ran at Ohio state though at Syracuse from the exact same formations. Like, uh, remember
14:38our play vertigo against Notre Dame? Yup. That's exactly what it is. Now, how'd you get them off
14:42sides? This was like a free play. We're using a dummy snap count or something. Yeah. We're using
14:47the clap. I know you probably hate that, but, uh, yeah. And so we just call this fire. So it's no play
14:53unless they jump. So you shift to an empty play. We got a freeze cadence. We try to get them.
14:58Yup. Exactly. Is that what you're doing? Trying to get them to jump off sides? Is that all that
15:02bullshit? Yup. So if they jump, we run vertigo. Exactly. If they don't jump, you got an audible
15:07to a play? Yup. Yup. Give it to them. You're playing UConn right here. You got Jim Moore in
15:10there. What are you calling this? Bunch right 15 crash. Bunch right 15 crash. What if you got an
15:15all out blitz? What would be a great audible? Great audible. You could go seven man. Oh,
15:19no, no, no, no, no. It's going to be, uh, we're going to go Chucky and this would be New York
15:23right here. What if I want to throw a quick screen over there to Meeks? Clay Thompson.
15:27Chucky, New York, Clay Thompson. Yup. What are you doing on this? Honest to God. Yeah. When are you
15:31ever going to throw a burst? If you ever aren't going to throw one? Huh? Cover two. I mean, I'm sure
15:36though, if we keep watching, you know, one or two will maybe pop up. You ever heard of the walking
15:40dead? I have. You know, this guy, Rick Grimes, he's got this knife. I got a walking dead hat for you. I want
15:47you to have that. You can wear that on the field. I like it. Anyways, Rick Grimes, he just cuts
15:52people up. He kills all these guys. Yeah. And that's kind of how I feel when I watch you. You
15:56are really after blood when you play quarterback. No, it's fun. I mean, every once in a while,
16:01it's a little bone to the back, man. Get a completion. Yeah. But you're like, you're like
16:05Rick Grimes, man. Yeah. You're really an aggressive Rick Grimes, badass. I love Rick Grimes.
16:11One more time, all go special. Here you go. There it is. There's a burst. There it is.
16:15Congratulations. But you are the number one vertical passer in the country. I mean,
16:19ball's thrown over 20 yards in the air. Yeah. It's not even close, man. What the hell's going
16:23on at Syracuse? What's the mindset that your offensive coordinator and all these guys are
16:28selling? I mean, it was fun. I mean, knowing that you're going into each game thinking you're going
16:33to pass it at least 40 times. I think there was a game that she had 40 attempts at halftime. So
16:38it's, you know, air it out. And, you know, but still, we were a tough team. We had a
16:43thousand-yard rusher. And so I think when you're having success through the air, it opens up a lot
16:47for the offense. I mean, you're aggressive in every situation. Yeah. When you get third and one
16:51against NC State, what's your recollection of this play? Hurry. Really just a one-man route,
16:57max protection. Who's this number five guy? Umari Hatcher. You know, you go with this play,
17:02I would think you'd have number two paying you out there. Whose idea was it to put this guy in there?
17:06That was mine. I mean, right, right before we were running out, Ross Douglas, her receiver coach,
17:10he was like, who do you want out there? I was like, let's put, let's put Umari out there,
17:14see what he can do. So it was fun. Did the kid know you said that? Yeah. Yeah. I mean,
17:18I think obviously that heightens his, yeah. Yeah. It gives him a lot of confidence knowing,
17:22you know, I can pick any receiver on the team and, you know, I want you to go.
17:25Let me tell you something, man. You know what? That's what I love about you, man. You see,
17:29you're getting everybody to play hard for you. Yeah. 12, 300 yard games,
17:33seven times in a row. Yeah. 34 a game, 50 times or more three. You threw it over 60 times twice.
17:41I mean, geez. Yeah. That's what I got this hat for you for. I bought you this hat. It's a Rick
17:46Grimes hat. Sweet. It says walking dead on it. You can have that hat. They can have all this stuff.
17:51You see that when I watch you, you, you are not looking to run as much as you are looking to just
17:57rip it. Aren't you? A lot of the big time throws and NFL and college come off the scramble. So if you
18:02can extend plays and make the defense cover the receivers for six, seven seconds, you know,
18:07good things tend to happen down the field. This is the biggest reason I'm excited about you. I mean,
18:12when we got Brett Favre in Green Bay, he would reverse his field and I can still hear the head
18:16coach, Mike Holmgren going, no, no, no. Hell yeah. Great throw, Brett. There ain't very many guys
18:24walking in here that can do what you can do. I'm talking about pouring it on over their head,
18:28ripping it in there, tight window throws. This is as impressive as any of those gunslinger plays
18:33to me. I mean, this is the wide side of the field, man. On time with no hitch. Boof. Love it. Let's
18:40talk about your snap count at Ohio State. Stand up. Give it to me. What is it? It's a hat.
18:44White 80. White 80. It's a hat. So I love that. That was, that was, you know, my bread and butter.
18:50What's your count at Syracuse? You're not going to like this one. Let's hear it. Set.
18:53Set. Okay. I didn't know you. That probably. How do you know that? Boiling your blood. I don't like
18:59RPOs. What's our, have a C. RPO. What's RPO stand for? It stands for. Ridiculous what? Ridiculous
19:06protection offense. Yeah. Clapping. I can handle the clapping. Here's your new count today. It's
19:11going to be your count. Okay. We're going to say set hut. Yeah. Two syllables, one word. Set hut. Then
19:16we're going to go color number, color number. We can speed it up or slow it down, but after the second
19:21color number, we're rolling into set hut. Yep. So let me feel the cord snap count. Come
19:27on. Let me hear it. Okay. Here you go. Stand up. Put your hands under the table like that's
19:30the center. It's hot. White 80. White 80's hot. Perfect. You're perfect. Now let's talk about
19:37the word Silva. S-I-L-V-A. Whenever we start audibling, it's Silva, Silva, set hut. So we don't
19:44jump off sides. I can't take false starts. They're driving me nuts. Yeah. I had that Rick Grimes
19:49knife down here. I was going to screw my eyeball out the other day. So let me hear you. Get
19:53up there now. We're going on one. It's bunch, right? It's 15 crash. Okay. Let me hear you.
19:59It's a hut. What 80? It's an all out blitz. Hey, easy, easy. We're going, uh, Chucky, New
20:04York. Chucky, New York. Here we go. Silva, Silva. It's a hut. Perfect. I love you, man. That's
20:09excellent. Let me hear it. Are you ever in the huddle? Yeah. After a dead ball. Let me see you
20:13get in the huddle and call all goes special out of your favorite formation. Like I'm a, let's
20:18say I'm a receiver. I'm a tight end. I'm kind of, ah, fuck. Come on. Let me see your
20:23presence in here. What do you say? Here we go. Here we go. We're going to go Lou, Y
20:26cross 15 crash on one-on-one ready to break. Where's your eye contact at? You got to look
20:31at the guy. I mean, you got to tell a story in the huddle. So if I'm saying Lou, I'm looking
20:35at the receivers, Y cross, looking at the Y 15, letting the line know the protection.
20:40So you got to tell a story. So you play quarterback your whole life. I mean, hell, you're 44 and
20:44one in high school. Yeah. You're 12 and one at fucking Ohio State. You're undefeated
20:47damn near at Syracuse. Yeah. I expect a certain presence. Right. And when we break the huddle,
20:52how do you break the huddle? Oh, one-on-one ready break. And if it's a shitty break, you
20:57got to, if they're not running to the line of scrimmage, does the coach, do I always have
21:01to be the asshole? No, it has to be the quarterback sometimes, man. I tell you, I got to see Tom
21:06Brady play quarterback for the Patriots against my brother who was coaching Washington. I swear
21:11to God, Tom Brady was the best offensive coach I've ever seen on field. Yeah. Get the fucking
21:15huddle. Let's go. I mean, it was like, it was practice, man. Yeah. I loved their, I just
21:21loved it. That shit is really contagious, man. When your quarterback has that vibe, has
21:25that type of energy and confidence. I think it, I think it permeates into the whole room,
21:31you know? Yeah. I feel like all the best, all the best guys in the NFL have it. I start
21:34calling you Maserati McCord. I like it. Huh? I like it. Oh, shit. This, this is something
21:39though that needs to be talked about because when people see this, I think they think you're
21:44stiff. Yeah. I think they think that the perception is what, when they see that. I can't
21:50run the ball. Can't run, can't scramble, can't create. Yeah. But the reality is what? They count
21:56sacks. Some big, tough athletics on bits. Yeah. They count sacks as, uh, as rushing yards in
22:01college. So yeah, a little trick play here. But I mean, you, you will take, take the ball down and
22:06run. It's just, they don't have a lot of design runs for you, do they? Yeah. No. So a lot of the,
22:11the runs that's your, uh, scramble drills, stuff like this. So one of the things I really want to
22:15work on today is you scrambling a little bit. I like it. Uh, because a lot of these coverages
22:21people are playing now, we might double pain you. Let's double Gadsden. Yeah. Let's take this guy's
22:27arm out of the game and they don't account for you as a scrambler. Right. Uh, when I say that word
22:33up there effort, what, what resonates with you? I think as a quarterback, um, that's one,
22:38your preparation during the week, doing the, the, the stuff that takes no talent,
22:42watching extra film, um, being the first guy and last guy out. And then on the field,
22:46I think it's just leaving, leaving everything out there. And I mean, I think this is a good
22:49example of that, you know, not exactly how you draw it up, but I think it's your, your will to
22:53win. I mean, this, this is a guy selling out for his team, man. Freaking awesome. Give me some on
22:57that. You like that one? Well, they turn the lights out when you score. Yeah. In the dome. I
23:01thought maybe I was having a stroke or something. Every time the fucking guys score,
23:05the lights go off this pit game. Yeah. Five interceptions. Yeah. It was the only game you
23:10had where you really had multiple picks. Every interception has a, what has a story. So the
23:15first thing I do is I don't listen to some of these bullshit podcasts where, Hey, he threw five
23:21picks. He threw two picks against Michigan in the big game. I got to see him when you throw the ball
23:26in tight windows, shit can happen. What'd you think of this first one? Uh, I mean, you want to be
23:30aggressive and you know, I thought there was, you know, not a terrible decision, but
23:35you know, it's football ball bounces and you know, weird way sometimes. And yeah,
23:39that's rough. The luckiest play in the history of it's rough. Every once in a while, the ball's
23:44going to be tipped in the middle of the field. And a lot of times it's not even the quarterback's
23:48fault. The second one now is a bad decision. Yeah. We got to take account for these. I just
23:54want to hear from you. What is your thinking here on this all go special? This 15 crash. Yeah.
24:00Four verts getting too high with a trail technique. So his head's turned to me. So I'm
24:05thinking kind of a back shoulder seam throw right here in the middle of the field. Uh, and then he
24:08gets his eyes right back. Sometimes you get fooled by coverage. Yes. Yeah. Now what happened on this
24:13one right here? Yeah. A little option route right here. So slant till you can't, but if he's playing
24:18heavy inside, uh, he's going to run out. So thinking that I was going to have that throw and then he did
24:22a good job. Undercut it. Yeah. Shit happens, man. But he fooled you. Now what about the route?
24:28Sometimes the route isn't great. This was an option route with our tight end. And so, uh,
24:32versus inside leverage, man, he's going to run out, but right here to him. I mean, I can't blame him
24:36because that looks like zone, how low they're trailing. He doesn't feel like, you know, there's
24:39a guy attached on his hip. So he's thinking it's zone. So he turns outside, but I'm anticipating him
24:44to, to run out just, uh, not on the same page here. And, you know, I think we had a ton of option
24:49routes in our offense. And as much as, uh, you know, we had success off of them when you're not on the
24:53same page. It's not good. It's a great answer. You're giving great, great answer. Then the last
24:57one here, tell me about your technique on a screen pass. Yeah. So this is two minute drive at the end
25:03of the half, you know, just being too aggressive. If it's not there, just throw it at his feet and
25:07play the next down. You come back after the, the five interception game and you go 234 in a row
25:14without a pick with the same playing style. Yeah. So I want to know what you learned. Obviously you
25:19still want to be aggressive, but you have to take, uh, calculated risks. And so I think that was,
25:26uh, something for me after that, that pick game, I went back. I was just super critical on myself,
25:30um, put the ball in, um, you know, harm's way a little too much that game and, um, just learned
25:35from it and, uh, you know, made a lot of strides. So here comes the number six hurricanes. They got Cam
25:40Ward. He's a hell of a player. What's your feeling when that, when the hurricanes come in,
25:44they got you down 21. Yeah. I mean, I knew it was going to be a game. Did I know that we were
25:48going to go down 21 to start? No, but that was the best thing about our offenses. You know,
25:52we could score, we could score quick. It was almost whoever at the ball last was,
25:56was going to win it. Um, so it was fun. You guys really, I mean,
25:59shocked the world here winning this game, but just maybe just tell me what that was like.
26:04It was awesome. And, uh, I think this kind of validated coming to Syracuse. It was a kind of a
26:10full circle moment for me going from Ohio state and losing last game of the year to Syracuse to
26:15winning last game of the year like this. So it was pretty sweet. And then the holiday bowl real
26:19quick against Washington state. I mean, this was a shred. Yeah. You know, in a world where a lot of
26:24guys opt out and don't want to play in a bowl game, all of our guys want to finish it the right
26:27way. You know, you're saying some stuff there. I'm not losing sight of you guys all went out and
26:31played in this game. Yeah. And that meant a lot to me as a fan. I'm not flying all the way out
26:36there to watch your backups. Yeah, exactly. I want to see you guys finish the God dang season.
26:40And I watched you out here, not only play quarterback, you ran the freaking show. Yeah.
26:45You went like this and this was a exclamation point. Yeah. I mean, your, your mic declaration,
26:51your communication down after down, after down your aggressiveness and your arm play,
26:56your ball placement. I mean, shit. Uh, you are a quick decision maker, aren't you? Yeah.
27:01I want to go over this sequence with you that you run. I call it Trey, right? 15 Willie
27:06or Trey, right? Formation. We're running a tight zone. We called it 15 Willie. Yeah. But if I added
27:13a out route over here and an out route over there, I called it skyline. Yeah. Cause you can eat chili
27:18three ways in Cincinnati. I like that. You see me? Yeah. It's good stuff. So you can hand it off.
27:23You can throw it here or you can throw it there. You got three options. Yeah. But with Syracuse,
27:27you guys will hand it or you'll have slants or sluggos or dancer. I'd like you to just show me this
27:33formation. I call it Trey, right? Get up there. We'd call this black, um, black cap. So cap lets us
27:39know we're cutting off on the backside and then we just have double, um, drifts. And so what's a
27:45drift, a five yard slant, a five step, five step slant. Yeah. Um, and then they had the option to,
27:50to convert them, um, versus press. This was one of the plays where I told them just to trust it.
27:55And so if they took an inside release, they were telling me that they were going to run the drift.
27:59Uh, but then if they went outside, then I would know they're going to convert it to a go. And
28:04then sometimes I could give them a signal or whatever, um, change it to an out, change it to
28:08a three step slant, change it to a, you know, lock go ball. It was a great play for us. And we had a
28:12lot of success on it, especially in the high red. You're telling me these receivers are running
28:16five step slants that convert to go balls against press. Correct. And you're saying against cover too,
28:23why would we throw it? There's nobody out there for the back. Let's just hand it off.
28:27Exactly. And we hand it off and just gouge them. Exactly. You know, what you see on film is what
28:31you coach. That's why when you install something, I want to go see it on tape. And just like you
28:36said, that's what's happening. Now, what are you doing here against Boston college? I mean,
28:40I see the safeties down over here on the right. Yep. That's exactly where my eyes are.
28:44So we're throwing this? Uh, no. So you're going to work the other side. So with that safety down to
28:48the field, if he, he comes down the run, he's trying to play the run, you're throwing the drifting
28:52behind him. If he were to get out of there, I'm just handing the ball off. It's good stuff.
28:56It's really good stuff. So here's one against Cal. You can do it both ways. Yep. What's this?
29:00Is this still black cat or is this something else? This would be red. Yeah. Oh, there's an R for
29:04red. So it's red cat. Yep. So one more time you're running black cat and this receiver is going to
29:10run a five-step slant unless it's press. And if it's press, he's going to get the outside release
29:15and run a go. Yes, sir. And if that corner jumps outside of him, he's going back to the slanted.
29:19Yep. This is unbelievable, Matt. It's a little unfair. I mean, it's unfair. You got you throwing it,
29:25but look at, look at these corners at Washington States. They're like, God dang, man. This is
29:29basically you and your wide receiver just playing hand signal fun, isn't it? Yeah, exactly. Let's
29:34have some hand signals today. I want to have, personally, I'd like to have a five-step slant.
29:39Let's call it drift. Okay. Draw it up there. Draw the drift up there. Okay. Okay. I want a hand signal
29:45for that. Just write the word drift up there. Okay. I want to have a hitch, five-yard hitch. Okay. I call
29:51that a hammer. I want a sluggo, a slant and go. Okay. So that's a sluggo. And I want to fly. I want
29:57the guy to fly a go ball. He's gone. Okay. And I would like to have a one-step bullet slant. A now,
30:05I call it. Yeah. Right freaking now. I think a quick out, I call it an Omaha, a quick out. I think
30:11we need that. So real quick, is that six? Yep. Six. What's the signal for a drift? Hurry up.
30:16Go like that. What's the signal for a hitch? What's the signal for a sluggo? Sluggo,
30:21go baseball. Okay. What's the signal for a fly? Fly, like your pants, sipping up your pants. And a
30:25now, a one-step bullet slant. Watch. And a quick out. Good. So when I get these receivers today,
30:31the one thing I really want, we're going to get a wire on you. Have a seat. And I want you to go over
30:35there and take these receivers. Okay. And I fucking want this done, man. I want six hand signals. Yeah.
30:41And you're going to have to signal these guys that route. I like it. You love it or like it? I love it.
30:46And the last thing is slot combos. Real quick, in your world, these two receivers are a slot.
30:51What's this slot combo? We just call this little Fred screen. Okay. Go up there real quick. Yeah.
30:56And just on the other side, let's write down, I call this a Bubba, a bubble. Bubba. Take a look at
31:02this one, Kyle. This is number two down here at the bottom, these two receivers. Dodge. Is that a choice
31:06route for that guy? Yep. Ooh, I call it looky. Looky. This is not one of my favorite plays. This gets me,
31:12this is like taking three Viagra right here for me. This shit fires me up. Fucking love this. What
31:18do you call this one up top? Oh, dragon. Is that a slant to drag? Yeah. You got to have a dragon shit.
31:24What's this? Uh, this would be pause with drive backside. A locked hitch with the high big box fade.
31:30Yep. What is this up top? Venus. Venus. Yep. That's a pivot option with an out route. You like that
31:36against cover three? I do. Box those. We'll get those on the way over there. Okay. I might ask you
31:41to put in four or five with our guys. I want all those hand signals. All right. Okay. So let's put
31:45a package in. You with me? Yep. So I'm going to call this formation flank right. We have the Y and
31:50the F together. They're in a tight alignment here. You with me? Yep. It's an automatic slot. If I ever
31:55say flank right tie, the tailback goes in motion to the Y and he reloads. Okay. So we're motioning
32:02empty. Huddle call would be flank right tie. Okay. If I ever put both fists together and I said,
32:08Freddie, Freddie, Freddie, Freddie, Freddie Belitnikoff, that means we're going fast.
32:11That tells everybody we're going, Hey, Freddie, Freddie, flank right tie, flank right tie.
32:17If you see any split safety look at all, I want 680 lookie. Okay. We have a Y stick with your little
32:25lookie over here. But as a general rule, if it's any form of split safety coverage, I like this. Okay.
32:31The next one is 80 and 81 juice. As soon as it's single high, three deep, I want 80 juice. Okay.
32:40That means we're running all go. And this running back out here, he's going to run a one-step pitch.
32:44And if it's a blitz, you can throw him the ball. Flank right tie. What if it's four across? What are
32:48we going to? It's going to be lookie. What if it's three deep zone? Then we're going 80 juice. 80 juice.
32:53Right. You love it or like it? I love it. Now, what if they blitz you? I want you to get the 356.
32:58356. 356. 357 to the left. That's your full blitz protection audible. And the route is canon. This
33:06man is running a sluggo. Yeah. Just like you like. If they jump it, I want you to pump that sluggo
33:13and move that free safety. And I want to throw that seam right down the pro numbers. Sluggo seam.
33:18You got me? Mm-hmm. Then out here, you're going to have that little smash route as your outlet.
33:22Yep. You love it, don't you? Yeah. It's good stuff.
33:24Ask me what we're going to do if it's man to man. What are we going to do if it's man?
33:27Well, we're going to go to 80 or 81 swat. Swat. When we go 80 swat, this guy's running
33:32a post. These two guys are building a wall. It's like a double mesh. This guy here, whoever
33:38it is is going to run a corner. And here comes this guy running right underneath there for
33:42a big one. Yeah. I only want this against what coverage? Man. We're not going to be a fucking
33:48dolt. What's a dolt? A dolt? Adult. D-O-L-T. Write it down. Dolt. I don't know what that is.
33:54I always call guys. Are you a dolt? One day, Chris Sims goes, hey, what's a dolt? I said,
33:59look it up in a dictionary. He looked it up. You know what it is? A stupid fellow. Don't
34:04be a stupid fellow. Bunch formation, shit show. What can you audible to? Chucky.
34:08Chucky what? New York.
34:10Where's New York? To the right.
34:11What if you want to throw a quick screen? What's it going to be? It's going to be Clay.
34:13When I go flank right, tie, and it's cover three, what do I want?
34:17Juice.
34:18And if I go flank right, tie, and it's man to man, and there's a truck driver, what are
34:22we doing? Yeah, we're getting to the mesh, hitting the swat.
34:25What's the name of the club? I fucking love that. You like it?
34:27Yeah, I do. And if it's split safeties, it's 380 what?
34:29Lookie.
34:30You absolutely crushed this. You know that?
34:32It's good stuff. I like it, yeah. Did you have any fun today?
34:34Yeah, it was good. It was great.
34:35Any other questions? You got anything for me?
34:37I mean, you've been around the best. What makes the elite different from everybody else?
34:42Forget about the talent. You got to have talent.
34:44But it's the combination of the daily grind. It's their routine. It's their mental toughness.
34:51It's all the things that you have. But you got to learn how to study. You got to demand
34:57to be coached. You know, Rich Gannon, he's from Philly. He's from right there in Delaware.
35:01Went to high school.
35:01I know he did.
35:02Yeah.
35:03I mean, nobody I love more than Rich Gannon.
35:06When he came into the Raiders, we had to turn that team around. He walked in there,
35:10hey, coach me, man. He wanted tip sheets. He wanted information. He demanded it. If I didn't
35:15give it to him, what the hell are you doing? What the hell is it out? You know, you got to
35:19really want to be coached.
35:20Right.
35:21But you got to be fucking relentless.
35:23I know.
35:23You know, you got to keep studying. You got to keep accumulating knowledge. I just think
35:27you have what it takes to be great.
35:29I appreciate it.
35:29You know, if you're in a system that's, you know, boring you or it's not letting you tap
35:34into some of your true potential, let them know.
35:37Right.
35:38Hey, man, don't be a guy sitting there going, well, we're going to get our fucking ass kicked.
35:43You know what I mean? And don't be a bobblehead quarterback. Don't sit in there. Yeah, I like
35:47it. I don't like that play. Don't call that with me. I fucking hate that play. Otherwise,
35:53you're, you know, you become adult.
35:55Yeah.
35:55What's adult?
35:57Stupid, stupid fella.
35:58That's right.
35:59Yeah.
35:59That's right. But thanks for putting up with me today, man.
36:02Yeah, it was fun.
36:02I am. I am. I am.
36:04Your biggest fan.
36:15Kyle McCord, he's a gunslinger. I think he's the best kept secret in this draft. Nobody throws
36:21the ball down the field better. I just want to see him do it right here at Gruden's QB school.
36:26It's one thing to watch these guys throw on film, but it's another thing to see him throw it live.
36:31I think a couple of these drills are really going to help these guys get better. And if
36:36they can get 1% better, man, it makes me feel nice.
36:39I want quickness, man. What kind of quickness do I want?
36:58Mind, arm, body. That's right.
37:03Hey, one at a time, it's going to come right back at the quarterback. Reach for the ball,
37:07cut the flight, time down, pluck it and tuck it. Right back at us. Bring the ball with you.
37:12Love it. Pluck it.
37:16Get your ass down here, McCord. Jog it down. Kyle, here we go. Let's go 10 yards. Nice and ultra-high corner.
37:23Good. Nice and easy. I don't want to kill anybody. Nice and easy. Beautiful.
37:3110 yards. 10 yards. Stick your right foot in the ground. 10 yards. Stick it. Boom.
37:38One more time. Good. Let's jog it down. Here we go. Oh, I got a new hip, man. I got a new hip. I got
37:44a new attitude. I got a new quarterback. I got a gunslinger. Outside foot is back. Let's run a slant
37:50route. Got to cross that corner's face. Otherwise, we get deep shit. Ready?
37:59Very nice. Very nice. Got to cross face. Good. Good. Good. Let's get one in the gun, Kyle.
38:08Convert your feet now. Silver side.
38:11Good. Very nice. This time, I want you to simulate like it's press coverage. Work his ass in.
38:19Out in. Silver side. Good. Let me feel one more on the outside. Silver side.
38:30Okay. Good. You pretty lathered up, Kyle? Yeah. I just want to feel a little bit of juice on this one,
38:36okay? Sure thing. Same rhythm. But I want to feel a little pepper on this. Silver side.
38:45Good. One more time. Just a little pepper here. Silver side.
38:51Very nice. Good. One more time. Last one. A little Brett Favre mustard on it. Silver side.
38:59Love it. We're going to throw some quick screens. Here we go. I'm going to flip on my ball.
39:04I'm going to call out a name. Lamb here. Curry. Clay Thompson. Rodman.
39:16Is that as quick as you are? Is that as quick as it gets? I can do it a little quicker. Okay. Good.
39:20Good. Good. I'm just trying to bust your balls. This is my nature. You know, that's why a lot of people,
39:24you know, they don't like me much. You're an acquired taste.
39:26Oh, damn. Gruden. It's a lay game. I don't move around as good as I used to. It's a
39:33bitch getting old. Here we go. Clay. Lamb here. Curry.
39:44Rodman. Very good. That's good. Three claps. Good job, man. Good job. Let's huddle up. I'm going to
39:50yell a coverage. He's going to get me to a play. Let's go bunch right. Yep. 92. Do a little
39:54enthusiasm now. Here we go. Here we go. Here we go. We're going to be in the gun here. We're going to
39:57go bunch right. 92 duo on one-on-one. Ready? It's a total shitshow. It's an all-out blip. Easy. Chucky,
40:04Chucky, New York. Chucky, New York. Chucky, New York. Silver, silver. It's hot. Good. There's one good answer.
40:10Let's put the ball at the 50-yard line. We're coming in. Quickly. Let's jog it down. Here we go.
40:15Let's go Freddy. Flank right. Tie. Use a dummy count. Here we go. It's going to be flank right,
40:20tie, and then it'll be dummy. Dummy, dummy. Ready? One 80. One 80. Hot, hot, hot, hot. It's covered
40:26three. It's three deep. Hey, here we go. Here we go. We'll go juice. Eddie, juice. Eddie, juice.
40:31Silver, silver. It's hot.
40:37Let's go Freddy again. Get him going on the ball. Flank right, tie. Let's go. Flank right, tie.
40:41Here we go. Dummy, dummy, dummy. Here we go. One 80. One 80. Hot. Fuck it's man-to-man. Everybody
40:47sees it. Here we go. Swat, swat. Eddie, swat. Eddie, swat. Silver, silver. It's hot. Love it.
40:54Love that. Good. Get him again. Go. Go. Here we go. Here we go. Freddy, Freddy, Freddy,
40:59Freddy. What's the formation? Flank right, flank right, flank right. Okay. Dummy, dummy. Here we go.
41:04White 80. White 80. It's hot. Four across. Two deep. Here we go. Lookie, lookie, lookie, lookie,
41:10lookie. Silver, silver. It's hot. I love that. One more time. Go, go, go. Here we go,
41:16Freddy. Flank right, flank right, flank right. Here we come. Here we go. Cannon, cannon, cannon.
41:21356, 356. Love it. Love it. Don't be nervous. Silver, silver. Slant and go.
41:31I love it. Good. Riverside. Here we go. Riverside. Jog it down. Everybody just start lingering around
41:36like you're looking for one of the pretty girls in the crowd. Let's go, Freddy, flank right, tie and pick
41:41one. Let's go, Kyle. Here we go. Hey, Freddy, Freddy, flank right, flank right, flank right, flank right.
41:45Let's go, 80 juice, 80 juice, 80 juice. 12 seconds. 11. Silver, silver. Love that.
41:53Love it. Out of ball again. Again. Here we go. Freddy, Freddy, flank right, flank right, flank right.
41:59Dummy, dummy. Hurry, hurry. Split safeties. It's split safeties. Here we go. Here we go. We're
42:02going. Lookie, lookie. Oh, shit. No. Now they went back to fucking. Here we come with the blitz.
42:07It's a cannon, cannon. 356 cannon. Cannon, cannon. Here we go. Silver, silver.
42:11Silver, silver. Beautiful. Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful. Love it. Great shot. Give me four
42:19wide outs about 12 yards deep. When I point to you, start clapping your hands. Five and a hitch,
42:24perfect rhythm. Silver, silver, silver. Very nice. One more time. Silver, silver, silver.
42:31Silver, silver, silver. Good. One more time. This time, I want you to get knocked off the spot
42:39to your right slightly. You with me, Kyle? Yes, sir. A little internal pressure problem here.
42:44There you go. Silver, silver, silver, silver. Put your ass moving. Good. A couple more. Here we go.
42:51Let's get bumped off our spot. Let's got to go to our left this time. Here we go. Silver, silver, silver,
42:54silver. Very nice. Good. Where's my running back? You know this guy right here? He doesn't know
43:02anybody that runs check downs. He refuses to throw them. Come on. Now listen. My running back at 500
43:08yards, he's hating. I want you, my friend, to get through the progression. Okay. And I'm going to try
43:13to move you right or left. And I'd like to see an awkward delivery check down through the forest here.
43:19You can do that. When I clap my hands, let's get to the check down. You got me? Yep. Silver, silver, silver,
43:23silver. This way. Come on. Love that. Love it. One more time. Let's go the other way. Silver, silver,
43:31silver, silver. This way. Good. Last two, I want to get a real weird, weird Mount Laurel, New Jersey
43:42awkward check down. All right. Have a little bit of weirdness in you sometimes. Shit. Come on. Silver, silver,
43:49silver, silver. This way. Now. Excellent. Excellent. Where's that walking dead hat? Hey,
43:57go give that to the quarterback and say, are you Rick Grimes? Ask him. Yeah, this is my
44:03shit right here. Thank you. Appreciate it, bro. Where's those colored shirts? Let's go. Just give
44:07them all different colored shirts. Hurry up. Red, blue, green. Have a little fun here. Here we go.
44:13Hey, we're having a little scramble drill. So the quicker we get these shirts on, the quicker we can
44:18do the drill. Come on, you beauties. I'm going to yell out of color and he's going to throw the ball
44:23to you. You got to get two feet in. Silver, silver's hot. Got to go get it. Yellow. Nice. Silver, silver's hot.
44:33That's a good set right there. Good. I just want the wide outs with, uh,
45:03Kyle, give these guys the single receiver hand signals that they need. So we'll do three. So if
45:08I give you, call this a drift, just a five step slant, like a glance route. Kind of does remind
45:14me of Rick Grimes. Kind of ruthless, like, look at him. That's an Omaha, just a four step out. So
45:22it would be like six yards. Yeah. Tighten down a little bit. And then the last one, be like baseball.
45:28So it's a slow go. Okay. So it's on three step slant and go. Yeah. So drift, slow go, Omaha. Hey,
45:35everybody got it? Yes, sir. We're good. Left side. Silver, silver side.
45:41Drift. Good catch. Yes, sir. Let's get one over here. Come on now. Why are you tired? Let's go
45:51Freddie, Freddie, Freddie, Freddie, Freddie. Let me use a dummy snap cap. Let me hear a black cat
45:56with a hand signal. Here we go. Here we go. Hey, dummy, dummy, dummy, dummy, dummy, dummy. Ready?
46:01Why are they so hot? Hey, easy. Black cat, black cat, black cat, black cat. Silver, silver, it's hot.
46:15Nice. One more time. Ready? Why are they so hot? Hey, black cat, black cat, black cat, black cat. Silver, silver, it's hot.
46:23All right. That's a great job with some split logic. Good. Last thing I got, get those wideouts
46:31back with you. I need three slot combinations. Okay. They don't let us coaches have any meetings.
46:39So you got to meet together, get it done yourself. I got to go recruiting. I got to find some new players.
46:45That's all I do now is you fucking recruit. All right. The first one, I'm just going to get
46:49it. It's going to be pause. So it's going to be a slot fade by number two and then number one,
46:53locked hitch. Fucking NIL recruiting bullshit. How as well let the players run the team.
47:00And then the next one we'll do, we'll call it Lucy. So number one, mandatory outside release.
47:05And then number two, you have option route. Sorry for getting upset.
47:11Shit. We'll go Detroit. So Detroit, it'll be a drift, five steps, just like that. And then number
47:18two, I'll have a stick. So going five yards, sit out, sit. Once I give you my eyes, burst out.
47:23Okay. And then Detroit, it's just me like a basketball. Look how attentive they are. See
47:26it? You get a quarterback and knows what he's doing. When I used to get in the huddle with my
47:30receivers, they'd look at me like, shut up. Let's go have a beer. Big difference.
47:37For Detroit? Yeah. Pause. Lucy. All right, here we go.
47:43Are you guys with me? I'm going to start counting down 10 all the way to zero. You better not screw
47:49it up. 10, 9, 8, Detroit, Detroit, Detroit, Detroit, Detroit, Detroit, Detroit, Detroit,
47:545, Silver, Silver, it's hot. What was that? Detroit. Very nice.
48:01Yep. Very nice. You guys got another one? Yeah.
48:047, 6, 5, Silver, Silver, it's hot.
48:08I love that. Here we go. 10. Hey, pause, pause, pause. No, no, give me another one.
48:21Here we go. Hey, Lucy. No, no, one more. Hey, Detroit.
48:243, 2, 1, Silver, it's hot.
48:30You did a great job. Let's bring it up, man. Let's bring it up. Let's just get a quick break here.
48:34We got Kyle McCoy. What do you got for us? What's a good message for all these young cats?
48:38Um, shoot. I would say just focus on the process. Um, don't get caught up in all the social media
48:44hype and, you know, where they got you going and, you know, drafts and stuff like that. Just focus on the
48:48process. Be a great team player and then the rest will take care of itself. You know, just take
48:53advantage of every opportunity. Um, you know, don't, don't look at the, the big picture and get
48:57caught up like, damn, I got to have a thousand yards this year. Like, no, just focus on every day,
49:01you know, just stacking days, uh, on top of the other and, you know, just keep relying on each
49:06other, you know, lean on each other and you know, you guys will be great. So appreciate you guys for
49:09coming out of good stuff. Let's go shred. Let's just shred the shit out. Shred them. Let's go shred on three.
49:15One, two, three. All right, let's go. Can we just get those targets last thing from McCord?
49:19You guys, wideouts, you guys are done. I don't want to. Yes, sir. Put those targets, baby.
49:23Facing us. However you guys like them. Yeah, sure. Appreciate it, bro. Thank you.
49:26Let's just see from about right here if you can hit it in with us. Okay.
49:31One more time. Nice. Middle? Yeah.
49:35Yeah. Where you want to go? Middle? Yeah. Middle? Yep.
49:40I love you, man. That's good. Okay. Let's get, let's just see. You think you're hot
49:44shit now, don't you? Huh? What do you think you're such hot shit? This one right here is like
49:50you're running a special seam against cover two. You feel me? I mean, you can see it on film.
49:56Full top right corner. Top right pocket.
50:07Let's get the hell out of here. That's freaking awesome, bro. I gotta keep going.
50:14Ah! Yeah, I love you, brother. Thanks for coming, man. That was fun. Yeah.
50:19Appreciate your coach. That was good. You remember anything?
50:21Yeah. I remember a lot. Shit. Take the fucking check down.
50:24I think McCord is a sleeper in this draft. The buzz I hear, he's going up on a lot of people's
50:30draft boards. He showed he could manage the game at Ohio State with his good defense. And when he
50:35needed to score a lot of points at Syracuse, he wasn't afraid to pull the switch. This guy can really
50:41play quarterback and he's got a lot of arm talent, which is pretty obvious.
