Joe Buck previews Newcastle United's Premier League clash against Crystal Palace at St James' Park. Jason Tindall will take charge of the Magpies who know a win would see them move into 3rd place in the table.

00:00So just three days after defeating Manchester United 4-1 here at St James Park, Newcastle
00:05at the back, this time to face an informed Crystal Palace side.
00:08It's going to be a really difficult game I think for Jason Tindall's side, of course
00:10they haven't got Eddie Howe in the dugout, he remains in hospital after being diagnosed
00:15with pneumonia and of course he's sending all our best wishes to Eddie Howe, but Newcastle
00:18have now got a job to do on the pitch and I think they're going to get a much better
00:21test than they did on Sunday from Manchester United.
00:23Crystal Palace are really good, especially away from home, of course they got beat 5-2
00:27at the Eddie Howe Stadium on Saturday, but they took a lead, 2-0 lead in that game, they
00:32almost made a 3-bar for an offside call, so yeah, they're going to be a difficult team.
00:36I remember Newcastle's performance at Selhurst Park back in November, really bad that day,
00:42didn't register a single shot on target, they got a 1-1 draw Palace equalised in the last
00:45minute through Daniel Munoz, but they were really lucky to come away with any point, never
00:48mind, you know, without winning the game.
00:51So yeah, much improved performance from that needed from Newcastle, but Newcastle have
00:54been really good in the last few weeks.
00:55You know, they've got wins on the board, they're one of the most informed teams in
00:59the country, Palace won't want to come here, and you know, as much as Newcastle might face
01:03a tough test from Palace, Palace won't want to come here, so it's going to be a really
01:06interesting battle, really interesting tactical battle.
01:09This time last year, Palace really, you know, did a number on Newcastle with Selhurst Park,
01:14so yeah, I'll see how much Newcastle will develop from there, and of course, the carrot
01:18of winning today means they can go third in the Premier League, which will be massive,
01:22coming up with some very important games, you know, Villa on Saturday, Chelsea and Arsenal
01:26both are playing Brighton before the end of the season, so yeah, it'll be interesting to
01:29see if Newcastle can get a result in performance, as I say, just from my show of Jason Tindall
01:32walking in there.
01:33He's going to have pretty much the same options he had on Sunday, Joe Willock is available
01:37after his concussion protocol ended, so that's a one boost for Newcastle, they've got no-one
01:40injured from that game, and they'll have Joe Willock back, so yeah.
01:43Unchanged teams, probably likely from Tindall, I don't think he'll make too many changes,
01:47but it's nice that he has options, and he has said it's going to be a real tough game,
01:50but one that Newcastle will hope to get three points, and St James' Park have been brilliant
01:54the last couple of weeks, of course, the home form hasn't been perfect this season, but
01:58they've really turned this place into a fortress in recent weeks, and we hope to continue that
02:01tonight.
