00:00Newcastle United win for the fifth match in a row with a 4-1 win here over Manchester United and a simply brilliant performance by Eddie Howe's side, Jason Tindall's side today of course, Newcastle were fantastic from minute one, Manchester United really poor, I think we all expected them to put up a bit more of a fight and I suppose at times they were okay, but yeah, Ruben Amarin won't be happy with his side's performance, but enough about Manchester United, we're here to talk about Newcastle United,
00:30a 4-1 win, didn't really get out of third or fourth gear too much, I think they could have stepped up if they wanted to, but their energy levels were absolutely fantastic from minute one, Sandro Tonali ran across, he probably covered every single blade of grabs three or four times, he was unbelievable, he was absolutely everywhere and it was his goal that got them ahead, Alexander Izak with a lovely little flick over the defence and there was Sandro Tonali to score a brilliant volley, it was an absolutely fantastic goal and one that
01:00you know, Newcastle was really happy with, there was a few players in that team who would catch the volley the way he did and it was deserved, because Alex Izak's assist was fantastic, so for him to be able to catch that as he did and you know, the score was, yeah, it was a brilliant start and one that Newcastle really needed, they were on top, that's the age, I think Manchester United did well for the first sort of 10-15 minutes to quiet the crowd, but after that, Newcastle were really on top and
01:23they looked to push on, but they were hit with a bit of a hammer blow, just for half time, Garnaccio equalised us for Manchester United, it was Tino Livermanto I think and Dan Byrne caught a little bit upfield, just from the press and Garnaccio gets in and tucks it past Nick Pope, I think that was the only mistake them two made really, Byrne headed everything today, and Livermanto was brilliant again at left back, he was absolutely superb, he has been, you know, he's been one of the most impressive players the last few weeks and with Thomas Tuchel in the stands, yeah, I'm sure he'd have had a long,
01:53hard luck at Livermanto's performance, I'm sure he'd been happy with what he did, but yeah, as I said, they're going to break 1-1, probably, I think, a tad harsh on Newcastle, I think they probably deserve to go in ahead, but with Manchester United, you know, you've always got, I wouldn't know, you know, as much as the men have been in brilliant form this year, you always have to worry when it's Manchester United, but they put any worry that they had completely behind them in the second half with a couple of really good goals, really well worked goals, and goals that Eddie Howe, even though he wasn't here, would be really proud with, especially Barnes'
02:23second, but we'll come on that in a minute, but the first one was Harvey Barnes gets on the score sheet, great work again by Tino Libermanto down the left, his ball across to Jacob Murphy, Jacob Murphy fires it back in, and Barnes follows up and fires home, now it was a brilliant goal, and another assist for Murphy, you know, he got two goals on Monday night, he just keeps racking up these goal contributions, he's 19 for the season now, and as I said, with Thomas Tuchel in the stands, who knows, who knows what the future might hope for Murphy,
02:53it's, you know, it forces Masurawi into a mistake, I don't think I'm wrong, I don't think his press really makes a mistake, obviously Masurawi falls, but it's the desire and the willingness to get in the faces of the other team, get in their opposition's, you know, space, and Barnes did that, and he picked up the ball 30 yards out, drove Alexander Uzak to his left, Murphy to his right, he didn't use either of them, he just drove through the middle of the defence, no Manchester night player, tackled him and just fired him to the top one, it was a proper striker's finish, or proper finisher's finish,
03:23brilliant goal, and, yeah, that put the game beyond doubt, if there was any doubt, certainly, you know, that was the moment that the game was, the game was sealed, Nick Pogue didn't have too much to do at the other end, he made a good save in the first half, but other than that, Manchester night really didn't threaten, and that's when you knew, as soon as Barnes got that goal, it went 3-1, and, you know, a two-goal lead, they were never really going to relinquish that, and then Bruno finished it off in perfect fashion, you know, Joel Linton again, winning the ball high, he headed the ball from Bayern's kick, and the ball fell to Bruno, and Bruno had the simplest job to tap home,
03:52and, and, and scoring, yeah, it was, it was a good goal, again, it was another one of it, that's shown intent to press high, of course, you can't legislate for the keep at a pass, it's Rachel Linton, but it doesn't matter, they, they, the intent was there to push high, and really pressure this man who defends, and 4-1, yeah, it was, that was, that was, that was the icing on top of the cake, really, Bruno celebrated, took all the acclaim of the fans, of course, there's only one Bruno was signed across the stadium, Bruno Fernandes was taken off to a, a round of boos, he enjoyed playing the pantomime villain today, but he won't have enjoyed his team's performance today, and he got to go,
04:22in a, a really important week, you know, they've got Crystal Palace and Aston Villa to come, on the back of a really good win, against Manchester United, wins against Manchester United don't come often, they do now, you know, that's five in the last six against them, home and away in all competitions, but yeah,
04:34it was good to get this, this really important week off, to a strong win, they've got another three goals, on the goal difference, so that's six in total, and of course, they started the game with Chelsea,
04:45and drawing against Ipswich, so that was a big, you know, a big boost for them, and they managed to capitalise on that, mistake by Chelsea, and yeah, they're now going to go into, potentially, that game against,
04:55oh, they are going to go into that game on Wednesday, knowing that if they win, they're going to go third, which is absolutely, you know, a brilliant return for them, but yeah,
05:02it's just such a crucial week, Newcastle, but Newcastle United deserved everything they got to, they were absolutely brilliant, Manchester United not very good,
05:07and yeah, five wins in a row, for Eddie Howe's side, and of course, there's no updates we had on Eddie Howe, whether he'll be available, you know,
05:15if he'll be on the touchline on Wednesday or not, but if Newcastle can do what they did today, even in the absence of Eddie Howe, you know,
05:21Jason Tindall, Graham Jones on the touchline, it was, yeah, it was an Eddie Howe performance, without Eddie Howe on the touchline,
05:27so yeah, it was a brilliant win for Newcastle, it's always good for them to get a win over Manchester United, it always lifts the city, they can beat Manchester United,
05:34and they've done that today, and yeah, it deserves the first Premier League double ever over, over the Red Devils as well, yeah,
05:38it was a fantastic day for Newcastle, Newcastle for Manchester United 1, and they deserved every single one of the three points of picking.
