00:00 >> How are you feeling first being back after dealing with some back tightness?
00:04 >> I mean, I feel good, appreciate it.
00:07 >> Just for you when you are coming in and trying to find that rhythm again,
00:11 just what does it mean for tonight to kind of get the ball falling and
00:14 you guys pulling off the win as short handed as you were?
00:17 >> I mean, the win is all that matters.
00:20 We get paid to take care of ourselves.
00:24 We got all the best treatment in the world and access to gym.
00:26 So, the win is the most important.
00:29 I'm just glad we won.
00:30 >> Kobe Buffington got a little burned tonight.
00:35 Just curious what he saw in the young guy.
00:36 >> I mean, great for his development.
00:39 It's gonna take time.
00:41 It's gonna be a long journey, ups and downs.
00:43 And repetition is a great thing in this league, whether it's in the G League or
00:49 he's up here with us, and he's able to get some live action.
00:53 And I think G League's meaningful minutes as well as here.
00:56 You're trying to win no matter what, you step out on the floor.
00:59 So, it was great for him.
01:01 He was confident, got some shots up, talking, communicating,
01:04 trying to play defense.
01:06 >> DJ, it seemed like Dylan Brooks tried to bait you and
01:08 a few of your teammates in this game.
01:10 Just how did you navigate that throughout this game and
01:12 then put your foot on the pedal to kind of close this one out?
01:16 >> Maturity.
01:17 I mean, you gotta give credit to him for what he does.
01:20 He plays tremendously hard every single night.
01:25 I'm a fan just knowing him from him in college and just seeing his career.
01:31 Just doing what he does, that's what he does, and
01:34 you just gotta be mature about it.
01:36 >> DeJounte, we've asked coach about what he thinks of Sadiq and his energy.
01:39 Just as his teammate, what have you seen out of him and
01:42 just the kind of energy that he brings on the court?
01:43 >> I mean, just he's a, I mean, he went to Villanova.
01:49 And I say that as you look around the league and
01:52 all the Villanova guys just how smart and the way they play the game.
01:56 Both ends of the floor, they just compete at a high level.
01:59 And it translated to the NBA for him.
02:02 And he's firing his niche, his role, and he's continuing to work on and
02:08 off the floor and getting better.
02:10 He's a confident guy.
02:11 And me, I just try to help as much as I can cuz I wanna see him and
02:15 everybody else succeed.
02:16 So it's just great to see him and everyone else do well.
02:19 >> DeJ, you got to the line 15 times, which I think might be a career high.
02:24 It's definitely a season high.
02:25 Was that a point of emphasis just to try to attack the rim in this game?
02:28 >> I mean, just playing my game and they gave me calls.
02:31 That's it, that's all.
02:31 >> DeJ, this is the 23rd time all the starters have scored above 10 points.
02:38 That's the most in the NBA.
02:39 Can you speak to what the guys who have stepped up,
02:40 because that's gonna tend to from lineups.
02:42 Cuz the guys in and out, and you guys have stepped up, and
02:44 there's been a lot of issues.
02:46 >> I mean, it just shows the talent of the team.
02:48 You got a lot of guys who could play basketball at a high level.
02:53 And also just being unselfish, trying to play the right way.
03:00 Do stay in confidence, whether they miss or make shots.
03:04 But most importantly, just like I said, just wanting the guy next to you to
03:07 succeed, I think that's the most important, the talent's there.
03:11 So it's all about putting it together.
03:14 >> Thanks, DeJ.
