00:00Hello there, welcome to your Wednesday evening weather update from the Met
00:04Office. High pressure continues to cast an influence over our weather through
00:08the next few days and what that means mostly light winds, most places also dry
00:14a bit cool by night but warm in any sunshine in shelter and then through
00:19Friday this weather front here could bring a few showers towards the Western
00:23Isles and then later in the weekend as temperatures recover further the air
00:28becomes a bit more unstable towards the southwest and there's a chance of some
00:32showers which could turn thundery for the time being through this evening and
00:37overnight a mix of cloud and clearer sky certainly more cloud across this eastern
00:41strip here with a breeze coming in from the North Sea where you see those clearer
00:46skies the chance of a local frost across one or two spots as temperatures dip
00:50down probably close to freezing across the glens of Scotland hanging on to higher
00:55temperatures towards the west but even places such as the Midlands seeing
00:59temperatures four or five Celsius as we head into Thursday morning and so for
01:03most it's a bit of a chilly start and a mix of cloud and sunshine notice one or two
01:08just light showers moving in across the eastern side of England southeast Scotland
01:14but there'll be the exception rather than the rule and despite the fact we'll see
01:18cloud drifting across the sky there will be some sunshine and the cloud will break
01:22later as well so a fine day for most certainly a better day across Shetland with
01:27some brighter skies coming through so a bit of a breeze coming down towards the
01:31far south east even so temperatures 19 for London 17 for the western side of
01:36Scotland and 15 for Northern Ireland now southern parts of Wales will be
01:42coming in at 18 or 19 help with that sunshine but wherever you are temperatures
01:46falling away yet again into Thursday night and Friday morning and like the last few
01:52nights we could see one or two mist and fog patches temperatures then dipping down to
01:56mid single figures a cool start to Friday but Friday will be brighter for most more
02:02the way of blue sky and sunshine everywhere dry and temperatures reflecting that
02:08coming in probably 16 to 20 Celsius so warmer now through Saturday there's a chance of
02:13some showers across the Western Isles generally speaking it's a warm day
02:16temperatures climbing into the 20s helped with that sunshine and some moderate to
02:21high levels of UV now for more details of your 10 day trends check out our
02:25YouTube channel and I'll see you again soon
