00:12:26You wouldn't know it with today's performance because he was the catalyst for everything.

00:12:31That great bit of movement there, forced Curtis Jones into the slip.

00:12:35What I like about this, carries on his run, doesn't admire his pass, which occupies Endo.

00:12:39And then Fernandes gets the goal.

00:12:41And that gives everyone a bit of confidence.

00:12:43He starts getting on the ball.

00:12:44But look, he waits.

00:12:45He's got that.

00:12:46He always knows that.

00:12:47It's called spatial awareness, isn't it, where he's always scanning, looking around him.

00:12:51And he's always following up the play.

00:12:52Sometimes, you know, you get into a frame of mind, you're playing good passes and you start admiring the pass and forget to support the player with the ball.

00:13:00This is what I love about him the most.

00:13:02He doesn't mind trying things.

00:13:04What a pass that is.

00:13:05Just a poor touch from Jackson.

00:13:07It's not the actual pass.

00:13:08But that's the bravery I'm talking about, taking responsibility in the team, which you have to do.

00:13:13Someone's got to take responsibility to take risks.

00:13:34It's not great defending, but it's still the positivity of the run that ends up causing the goal.

00:14:14And when that hit the post, he must have thought it was never going to happen.

00:14:17He's just, look, watching himself on the screen.

00:14:22I think he would get in any team in the Premier League, probably Europe.

00:14:26And he's just a wonderful player to watch.

00:14:28Well, confident lad who also just seems that nothing phases him.

00:14:33Did you like that in his interview of, look, I knew a bad patch was going to come at some point.

00:14:38Yeah, well, it does come for most players.

00:14:41And then he's been on a fantastic run since he joined Chelsea.

00:14:45His record, he's been the catalyst for Chelsea since he joined the club.

00:14:49And he's gone through a little period where the goals haven't, you know, come as much.

00:14:54But his performance has still been really good.

00:14:56And when you go through a patch like that, I really liked his interview.

00:14:59You know, I know this was going to come.

00:15:02I deal with it.

00:15:02And he looks really laid back.

00:15:04Did you feel that when you went through a bad patch?

00:15:07He didn't have many.

00:15:10You know, but you have these patches and when you're young, sometimes it is difficult to understand why you're having them and how do you get out of it.

00:15:19And the best way to get out of them is keep things simple.

00:15:22But what I really like about Cole Palmer is he actually doesn't.

00:15:27He keeps trying to make things happen and trying the difficult passes and have an effect on the game.

00:15:32So he looks very calm, very cultured and I'm sure that goal will really help him now towards the end of the season to help Chelsea get a Champions League spot.

00:15:41And another Chelsea player stood out for you, Mark Kukurea, who kept Mo Salah quiet today.

00:15:45Yeah, I was really impressed with Kukurea today, I thought.

00:15:49I really liked how aggressive he was against Mo Salah.

00:15:51So you see here, he gets himself into a position where he can see Salah and then he wins the ball.

00:15:57But I like this now, he heads it but then he gets right into Salah's face and doesn't give him any time on the ball.

00:16:02Most Salah obviously can hurt players if he gets the ball and faces you up.

00:16:07Again, yeah, as soon as it goes to him, aggressive, gets to him, wins the ball back and then starts to drive forward.

00:16:12So he didn't really give Salah any joy today to get anything from the game.

00:16:17Again, getting up to the ball, I think he won the ball back nine times, which is more than any other player on the pitch.

00:16:24Really aggressive, I think as a full-back, you have to do this.

00:16:27And if you give Salah the time to get at you, he can cause you massive problems.

00:16:32But again, this is the one where he potentially switched off, but he's got two players.

00:16:37So he gets a little bit lucky on this one that he don't score.

00:16:41But again here, he's ready, front-footed, wins the ball back and then drives forward with the ball.

00:16:47I think this is the last minute of the game.

00:16:49He keeps pushing forward, trying to see the game out.

00:16:53Wins his team a free kick.

00:16:54He doesn't fear any...

00:16:55Cucurella has no fear of somebody's reputation.

00:16:58Sometimes you see players play against Salah and they back away right away, don't they?

00:17:04But when you go into Salah, he can make you look silly, but he had no fear to go up against him.

00:17:15You mentioned that, if you give him a second and he faces you up, you're in trouble.

00:17:18If you let Mo Salah face you up, then nine times out of ten, he's going to make you look silly.

00:17:23So it is brave to do that, but he done it, he got on his face and it certainly paid off for him today.

00:17:29We saw it a bit earlier in the season, didn't we, when Lavia was fit then.

00:17:32They are a better side, a better balance as well when Lavia is in that team.

00:17:44I think Palmer benefited from having him in the team today because he looks to play forward often rather than safe and sideways.
