00:00Oh, Chuck, hey, daylight saving time is here.
00:02You're actually doing okay.
00:03Those one-hour energy shots must have worked.
00:05Dave, these one-hour energy shots have me awake.
00:09I feel great.
00:10I am shocked.
00:11Say it.
00:12Say it.
00:13Dave, you were right.
00:14Yeah.
00:19Dave and Chuck the Freak are going dark-sided.
00:24Everything's ungodly.
00:25Dark-sided.
00:30Many times on the show, we've talked about some disturbing things involving funeral workers.
00:38Yeah.
00:39Oh, yeah.
00:41Sometimes dark-sided things happen at dark-sided places.
00:46It's true.
00:47Oh, yeah.
00:48In this case, though, something we, I don't believe, have heard of before.
00:53A Houston embalmer apparently cut off a dead man's genitals.
01:02What?
01:03I'm off.
01:03Dead man's genitals.
01:06Where was this at?
01:08But.
01:08Houston.
01:09Oh.
01:10To keep them?
01:12What?
01:13To keep them?
01:13This lady.
01:16The lady like them.
01:18Oh.
01:18It was a lady embalmer?
01:20Oh, my God.
01:21Oh, no.
01:23Is to be determined as we get the story here.
01:26Oh, my.
01:27From KPRC-TV.
01:30Take a listen.
01:30The allegations here are rare and disturbing.
01:35This embalmer is accused of stabbing this dead man twice in the groin area, then cutting
01:40off part of his private part and putting it in his mouth.
01:43Investigators say it all happened.
01:45Oh, my God.
01:46It happened.
01:46Okay, so wait.
01:47Hold on.
01:48Hold on a second.
01:49Dead man's dong in your mouth?
01:51You put a dead man's dong in your mouth?
01:53One time.
01:55But.
01:55What in the God?
01:57That was a twist.
01:58I didn't see coming.
01:59I was just like.
01:59Did you see that?
02:00Well, no.
02:01And even, you know, my mind was just like, oh, so she cut off his genitals, whatever.
02:04But when she put him in his mouth.
02:07That's all.
02:07Okay, hold on.
02:08Because I missed.
02:09Because I was very distracted by the reporter.
02:12Bryce?
02:13Yeah.
02:17I didn't even notice him.
02:19She cut them off.
02:21And she put them in the dead man's mouth?
02:24Yes.
02:25Well, better than her mouth.
02:27Yes.
02:27Better than her mouth.
02:28Lady embalm-er.
02:30Just cut the winner off and then put it in your mouth.
02:34Holy cow, huh?
02:35Sweet God.
02:35Is that just, you're just, you're just, you're just hating?
02:38I don't know.
02:39That's a, you just hate men or something?
02:41Completely insane.
02:42At the bare minimum, she got a screw loose.
02:44Oh, yeah.
02:45Yeah.
02:45Yeah.
02:45Many screws loose.
02:47Okay, let's start it off the top again so you can listen for yourself to Bryce's comments.
02:51Okay?
02:51He's like, jeez, you're not going to believe this crap is crazy.
02:54Here's the story.
02:57The allegations here are rare and disturbing.
03:01This embalmer is accused of stabbing this dead man twice in the groin area, then cutting
03:06off part of his private part and putting it in his mouth.
03:09Investigators say it all happened after she learned about his past.
03:13At Memorial Mortuary on the southwest side, it's a situation that no family would ever
03:18want to hear about their loved one.
03:20This was a vicious, brutal attack of a corpse.
03:25The person's already dead.
03:26It's kind of shocking even to me.
03:28Licensed embalmer Amber Laudermilk is accused of using a scalpel to twice stab a man in the
03:33groin after he died of pneumonia last month.
03:36She cut off his private part, put it in his mouth, according to records, and told a trainee
03:40who witnessed it, you didn't see anything.
03:42She did that in front of someone?
03:44Two troubled lives coexisted at the same time, but this person clearly, our suspect clearly
03:49just went off the edge.
03:52Harris County Precinct 1 constable deputies investigated.
03:54They say employees were too scared to report her, who, according to records, cover the dead
03:59man up with a towel when a colleague noticed the disfigurement.
04:03While a motive isn't clear, records show mortuary staff had just learned the victim was a registered
04:08sex offender.
04:09How important are ethics in this line of work?
04:11Ethics is everything in this line of work.
04:15Jason Altieri runs Southeast Texas Crematory, not connected to this case, admitting this
04:21could have been hard to predict.
04:22He says...
04:23That's so many people in the funeral business are so creepy.
04:26Sorry, normal people in the funeral business, but there are people that bring you down.
04:29This guy that they've chose to interview, he's creepy as well in his short funeral shirt.
04:34Families should be aware of where loved ones will be cremated, feel comfortable to ask questions,
04:39and be able to visit and see it in person.
04:42Whether we have, you know, a particular judgment one way or the other, it doesn't matter.
04:47We're there for a family, and we have to keep that in mind.
04:51Staff reported the case involving Laudermilk to the Texas Funeral Service Commission.
04:56The executive director says it's the only criminal abuse of corpse case across the state
05:01in the last two years.
05:03Dealing with the loss of a loved one is an incredibly difficult time, and there are predators
05:07who exploit this vulnerability.
05:09Families should proactively verify the credentials of funeral homes and directors, he says, using
05:14the agency's license lookup before putting someone to rest.
05:18Laudermilk has been a funeral director in Texas since 2021, according to records.
05:23Now the state will seek to suspend and possibly revoke her license.
05:27It makes us all look bad, and that's the sad thing about this.
05:30Is that body smoke we're seeing?
05:32Yeah, I think so.
05:33They're burning bodies.
05:34There's lots of heat coming out of there.
05:35He said ethics is everything.
05:38Yeah.
05:38Essex.
05:39I got this.
05:40Memorial Mortuary tells KPRC2 Laudermilk no longer works there,
05:44but declined to provide any additional details, citing a personnel matter and ongoing legal
05:49case.
05:50The state funeral service commission says investigators will be looking into the business
05:54as well to make sure all rules got followed.
05:57I guess my whole thing about, you know, someone in your life passes away and it's terrible,
06:05man.
06:05Like, it's a terrible time.
06:07And like, all of a sudden, like a lot of the time, all these things are just thrown at
06:12you and you have a million different things to worry about.
06:16I got to get on Google and I got to search up and do all these things to try and figure
06:23out whether or not a place has had incidents before.
06:27How about when a place has an incident?
06:29It's just gone.
06:30And yeah, like it just, let me just say this, though.
06:35I run a reputable business.
06:38A crazy lady decides to cut a man's dick off and shove it in his mouth.
06:42I could never have predicted she would do that.
06:45Why should my business have to close down?
06:47Well, OK, I'm not.
06:48I'm not.
06:48But the thing is, like, they at least have to do something to, like, make sure that person
06:57doesn't work there anymore.
06:58It can't just be like, well, because she's fired from this place.
07:02But can she go down the street?
07:04She should lose her.
07:05Yes.
07:06That's what I'm saying.
07:07Like, when you just when they figure out, oh, no, you're into corpses.
07:11Well, like, that's why you're doing this.
07:13You're in a corpse.
07:13You know, she had a motive.
07:15At least there was a motive.
07:16He was a sex offender.
07:17That's what, like, I'm not to play devil's advocate.
07:20You know, but, like, it's like.
07:21She shouldn't have done that.
07:22Yeah.
07:23But, like, it's like, there, you know, I don't know.
07:25There's reasoning behind it.
07:26Like, I understand it.
07:28That's, I guess, how to say it.
07:29Yeah.
07:29I understand it.
07:30It's just that he's already dead.
07:34You're not teaching him a lesson.
07:35No.
07:36You're not.
07:37Like, there's no lesson being taught.
07:38There's no.
07:38You didn't save the victims.
07:40Like, you just did something super weird.
07:45Yeah.
07:45There she is in court with her sunglasses on inside.
07:48Yeah.
07:49And it's pretty insane to do that, obviously.
07:51Yeah.
07:52I mean, like, super insane to do it.
07:53And she might have gone through something like that.
07:55And that's what triggered it.
07:57That's what triggered it.
07:58And I get it.
07:59But at the same time, it's like, okay, well, what you've done, though, means you can't do
08:04that job anymore.
08:05Right.
08:06You know?
08:06Yeah.
08:07Yeah.
08:07It's like, even though you might personally feel like they don't deserve any respect or
08:12whatever, it's like, there's like laws you still have to follow, unfortunately.
08:16And like, that sucks, you know?
08:17Yeah.
08:18No.
08:18Because we might say like, hey, when you, if I figure out you're that, and if I was dictator
08:24Chuck, it would, might be that you don't, you're not alive anymore.
08:29You know?
08:30Because I wouldn't want to risk my daughter or son living in a world with you.
08:35That's the guy.
08:35That's the guy.
08:37You know?
08:39Well, because cutting it off is one thing that's crazy.
08:43But then to shove it in the mouth, too.
08:45Yeah.
08:45That poor embalming student.
08:48Maybe they changed their minds in the whole deal.
08:51Yeah, maybe they get out of the business now.
08:52Like, I need to rethink this.
08:53I don't know.
08:54It wasn't that big a deal.
08:55Oh, my God.
08:56I didn't mind it.
08:57Yeah, that is crazy.
08:58What do you do?
08:59I work at H&R Block now.
09:01That guy they interviewed.
09:03Gaving us all a bad name.
09:04That's what he said off the top.
09:06Being a corpse.
09:07It's unfortunate because it makes us all really look bad.
09:10He kind of sounds like this a little bit.
09:12I know he does.
09:13That's what I thought.
09:14I saw that clip off the top.
09:15I'm like, oh, he's got that voice.
09:17Yeah.
09:17He works at a crematorium.
09:20Yeah.
09:20Yeah, and they did the interview right in front of where it all takes place.
09:24He's like, hold on.
09:25An arm fell out.
09:26Hold on a minute.
09:27Arm fell out.
09:28It's been like they literally show the smokestack of bodies being burned.
09:33Oh, my God.
09:34I think that there might be a crematorium near where I used to live.
09:37Oh, yeah?
09:38And it was right around the corner.
09:40And I always was like, I'd see smoke and be like, hmm.
09:42I drove by one the other day because I take these weird ways home now.
09:46Now, and I realize, oh, you know, this place, that's all they do.
09:50Yes.
09:51That's like they are.
09:52People are dropping off stuff there.
09:54It's a weird thing that that is like you're so desensitized.
09:57It's weird to become desensitized to death at that level.
10:00I think like it's.
10:01Yeah, but you have to.
10:02You have to.
10:03I think it's part of it.
10:04Yeah.
10:04You have to.
10:05You have to.
10:05Yeah.
10:05You have to.
10:06You have to.
10:06Yeah.
