00:00all right it's me being sworn in in the stand i gotta tell the truth the whole truth and nothing
00:05but the truth so help me god yes help me god all right so here we go uh let's see meredith is
00:13actually back tomorrow she's uh went to new york and did a yankees game if you saw her on social
00:19media she's like i don't know word one about baseball but she went up there because her man
00:23is the huge yankees fan so it was a great look for anthony to get up there she did hear some
00:27other stuff that she was into but just not the baseball game so she'll be back tomorrow but
00:32today that means it's all on you saw me to give these questions and also to grab questions from
00:38the audience for me so i get one pass uh and i get one boomerang back to you that you have to answer
00:45any question that i answer i can i can boomerang that back so what we got uh you know you the boss
00:51man oh you the program director i want to know the best thing and the worst thing about being
01:07pd or why yeah best part and the worst part about being pd um all right the the best thing is the
01:15best the best thing is the creativity like when you're a program director just for those that don't
01:20understand program director is like the um not the boss but you know kind of like the shift
01:27commander or shift director or whatever it's not like your big boss um but you do kind of get your
01:34end of those meetings and the creativity that comes along with it like us when we do the dr adams
01:41giveaways us when we do the um the uh way back wednesday shirt line that we're doing or like the fact
01:48that we're launching nine o'clock the classic you know work day kickoff like so we could do a 90s and
01:532000s kind of mix like we come up with those ideas we sit down with a with a bunch of people in the
01:59room uh and really kind of hash those out so that creativity the ability to be able to do that and
02:05kind of answer listeners who who are going at us online and want to see different growth spaces that's
02:11a good thing um the bad part it's not bad but it's not as great is just the weight on your shoulders
02:19because you're you're in charge but you're not you know that's why i said it's not like you're a big
02:26boss because there's a lot of incidents where things are given to you by your corporate people
02:32or your people who above you that you have to carry out you know whether it's you know uh cutting a
02:37budget whether it's you know doing you know just stuff that you don't not the sexy stuff um and and
02:43another the other parts are that you don't like i mean like i get a certain amount of vacation a year
02:48and honestly the last three years i haven't taken on my vacation because it's just stuff happens like
02:53you know you get ready to leave so go do something and then you know you gotta handle this or this
02:59person's sick or this person's out or you know this person you know davi retires you know then i gotta
03:05like go through the hiring of us so it's like every time i got ready to go and do something
03:10it's like nah i gotta be here yeah so you know i gotta now try and squeeze in a vacation before
03:15the end of the year again and it's august so it's it's a little rough that's the hardest part
03:21i guess all right long story short i guess all right so uh meredith's not here but i'm gonna ask
03:27a meredith-esque question did she leave this one because i hate when she leaves no i was just trying
03:32to put myself in meredith's head and i'm like what would she ask okay everybody knows one night
03:38stands are weird especially if you run into the person unexpectedly yes this is a meredith back
03:45here okay i want to know if you've one ever had a one night stand and have you ever crossed crossed
03:54the past with them again yeah i've had one i've had one of course everybody's had i would think
04:02everybody's had one night stands oh i know that but i'm trying to see the the crossing paths um
04:07okay any weird situations there i mean okay so so i did have i had a one night stand and um we were
04:17okay everything went down i'm not even gonna get in all that and and we didn't really communicate
04:26after that like in true one night stand fashion it was just kind of like a bow bow and then um we had
04:33to find my daughter a school and my uh ex at the time was like yo like i want to go visit this school
04:41in our neighborhood see how it is let's go take the tour and so i had to meet her there and so she's
04:47there with my daughter and i pull up and then we walk in and i see this girl and i'm like
04:53like she's the principal she no she was the she was like the person who was doing the tour she was
04:59the administrator oh and i'm like oh i'm like oh maybe she don't remember me she did but she didn't
05:06say nothing but the real back and forth were like yo this could like really like be a problem
05:13at any point like and it yeah it was really weird and then afterwards after we was like i was hoping
05:20i'm like i hope she ain't feeling this school and she ended up like we ended up sending my daughter
05:24to another school and then i heard from the chick like right after like okay that was awkward and i'm
05:29like okay yeah that was i appreciate it though thanks bye-bye and yeah we just i never that was
05:36circle back yeah never never she never hit you up after that again no i mean we we stayed in touch
05:42but i mean that was just like social media high and by then after that it wasn't nothing nothing else
05:45popped off all right um yeah and then one more uh out of the nine four one and this was actually a
05:51question that i was gonna ask and i just saw them come through with it has there ever i mean not has
05:57there ever but everybody has you know a couple decisions that they made throughout their life that
06:02they wish they could take back if you can take one thing and uh change one thing about your life a
06:12decision anything something anything you could change one thing what would it be that happened
06:18throughout your life throughout life um one thing um
06:25that that question that question is i mean this might be too deep but um when i when i left to go to
06:35college and come down here i didn't go home a lot i went home on holidays but i wasn't like really running
06:41back and forth going home because i was like i'm in florida that's indiana it's like it's not as sexy
06:46um and i my parents didn't come down here a lot so there was a span when i first started working in
06:53radio and didn't take breaks like because i was trying to get on i didn't go home a lot for those
06:59holidays because that was with the days you could work you know so people took vacation so i would stay
07:03and i missed out i it hits me now because my mom and my dad both are gone that i missed out on a
07:10bunch of time i caught up when i had daughters and then it was like they were like we're seeing
07:14our grandbabies so i'm taking them up there for the summer i'm going back and getting them i'm seeing
07:19my parents more they're coming down here more but there was a block of time that i missed probably
07:24those those those real active parts with my parents because i was too i was i was too into it like i was
07:31just grinding too much it wasn't like i was just studying studying i was studying but i was studying to
07:36get into the radio thing and and i think that i missed out on some opportunities i would probably
07:40take more time more time with your parents yeah just to be there and just to be you know kind of
07:46like more involved i was involved but i was involved from a distance and i think i missed out on on a
07:51bunch so i got one that a lot of people have always been asking and we tried to answer this one on the
07:57text line okay but i'm gonna put this out there so that everybody can hear it for one last time
08:01what everybody wants to know what happened with the nut house um okay um all right well i mean
08:11basically this is what happened to every what's happening to everybody i mean we all i mean i i can't
08:17speak for everybody but i know that i'm here i'm hearing of people who are going through stuff at
08:21their companies which are like restructuring and downsizing and all that and uh we ended up you
08:28know losing not when i say we i mean like our company we had like 68 different stations from
08:34around the country and there was like a restructuring a cut um downsize whatever you want to call it
08:41layoffs or whatever uh be just because of you know the economy and um we all lost qik q105 wild we all lost
08:52bodies um and we won one of the things that came down was that you know we were taking the two-person
09:00show which was a you know great deal for us and honestly like i mean i've worked with stiff and butt
09:06for 22 22 and 23 years like you know so those are i mean we don't you know and people people respond to
09:14it because we don't have a lot of turnover at wild like we have we've had bodies where people have missed
09:19like you know like whether it was uh paco and special ed and you know people like that in the
09:24past or navajo or any of the people who've been there you know and who've moved on but we haven't
09:29had a lot of turnover and so you know seeing that kind of like effect was really like that was one of
09:35the things i was talking about about the fact that you know something that you couldn't change like
09:39people people have always heard me being they're like you're the boss so you're the boss or my email
09:43says orlando the boss or whatever but realistically like you know you can be in charge and not be in
09:49charge i'm in charge of stuff like you know that i'm able to control but when the boss is up top
09:54it'll be like listen you have 30 people now you now will have 20 and i'm like wait a minute what
10:00you know and then that's that's where that comes from so um they ended up being a victim of that and
10:06and and it sucks it it hit all us in the gut because i'm like we've seen a lot of people that
10:11we've lost in that process but it's never touched us in here and for it to touch us in here it was
10:17like yo any any one of us can get it i was i walked around the office for like three days afterwards just
10:22like yo i could be next which in essence could be true it's like because my name ain't on the wall
10:28it ain't orlando beasley it's orlando davis so yeah so so that's that's that's the the nuts and bolts of
10:35that so you know unintended nut house that's the nuts and bolts no they people can always ask i just
10:41can't answer it now because i mean the text is shut down but yeah that that's the that's the
10:45the way and that has nothing to do with the davi thing davi is davi retired because davi has ownership
10:51yeah he has he has other businesses he has a ownership stake and so it's like do you work for
10:56somebody else or do you do better putting money in your family's pocket for you that's always going
11:02to be a saluted thing with me even though you know that's somebody who changed i don't think that
11:07what when they talk about the sweeping changes or whatever that made that have to happen so
11:12that's where we are all right out of the 646 orlando what would you do if you caught your
11:20daughter's smoking weed uh what would i do if i caught my daughter smoking weed yeah that that's the
11:31question oh um i mean daughter like now or like when they're like in college or something uh it
11:39doesn't have really an age or when you catch them to say if it's now i'm bugging i'm like yo like what
11:45are you doing i mean first of all i'd be shocked because they they abhor anything smoking like the
11:50vaping and whatever else and i'm hoping they stick with that um but i do know with kids around them
11:56their influences are going to be different now especially because they're in public school now
12:00but um i you know i would be shocked but then i would just sit down and kind of talk to them about
12:05i mean you can't whoop it out of them you know um i wish you could but you can't um i do think that i
12:12would i would sit down and explain it to them and just be like man everything that you want to do with
12:16dance with being healthy with all of the health stuff that they do focus on i'm like all that shot
12:21to hell if you are smoking and putting all of those chemicals in into your system so i would i
12:27would have that conversation and then kind of show them that that how that goes i guess i really don't
12:34want to think about this though hey it's life man i said i'm here with the tap out like i want to tap
12:41out on that but i'm like i don't know what the hell is gonna come next um okay all right last last one
12:47yeah out of the 813 they would like you to name something that you love and then something that
12:54you hate about everyday part here at wild so me meredith joey babs something that you love and
13:03something that you hate about us and joey's here to hear you why are you leaning in my face like that
13:09what's the problem come on joey come here joey joey joey joey listen i uh joey is staring at me
13:17right now um he's getting ready for that uh not a classic classic kickoff what do i love and what
13:23do i hate about each individual day part like oh man uh i i mean i i love about the freak show i
13:33love the fact that we get to come in here and wild out and do what we do um what do i hate i hate
13:40this early in the morning i hate that part i mean it is quite early um about the midday show i mean uh
13:51i don't know i i i hate i don't hate anything about hates my mustache i hate i hate joey's thighs being
14:00out every time you come in the room because he's always got those hoochie daddy shorts on um but but i
14:05love i love the fact that you know that people get to ride out you know to the whole you know the
14:10whole joint while they're out and moving around because that's just that's a big chunk of the day
14:14so it's really like in the middle of the day where everybody touches everybody kind of like as they're
14:18moving around um that was in the afternoon i love i love the fact um that she is kind of like plugged in
14:26like you know she talks about a lot of different topics and stuff that is kind of moving fast
14:31throughout the show so it's not long breaks that they used to like shut down you know now it's
14:36like it's just it's hitting at a faster pace and the in the the the ratings are showing that too
14:41so i love that uh hate i hate the fact that she calls me so much during her show
14:47every time she got something to say she rings me on the phone like hello she's like
14:52guess what and i'm like i just always gossip it's never really anything i need to know so i'm like i'll
14:58shut down my day of all the time uh and uh i mean that's it that's it that's it pretty much
15:04that's it i guess i don't i mean am i supposed to hate something else you didn't say anything you
15:10loved about joey oh yeah i actually did you said you love that he rides out and all that okay i mean
15:15i love i love joey the fact that joey is like you know always plugged in like he's with buster he's
15:21you know he's always somewhere i don't know how he gets to be everywhere but he's always somewhere
15:27and then i get to hear about that as a part of the show he's the plug yeah he's definitely on it
15:31um let's see uh the boomerang uh uh i don't even know what i want to ask you what what is something
15:37um what is something that what is something that you wish you would have have done differently in
15:45your past oh
15:47is this for me and joey or just for me i mean it's just for you because you asked the question
15:54but i mean joey can answer it but i mean uh something that i could have changed uh you know
16:02you ever like hear those people when they're like oh yeah if when i was back in high school i would
16:06have done this i would have done that uh i think i wish i would have applied myself more uh when i was
16:12back in high school uh i didn't try at all and it kind of says something because i still had like a
16:183.3 average i had like an 88 i was still good uh i learned a lot in my high school but if i actually
16:25would have applied myself and i would have looked at school a little bit more differently and more
16:30importantly um especially with college too because dude i just drank and had fun in college uh i wish i
16:37would have taken it a little bit more seriously and i would have maybe like you know i love where
16:42i am as far as my career but i think i would have probably started radio a little bit earlier um did
16:48classes earlier and paid attention more in class and and actually applied myself that's one thing i
16:55would have changed all right what you got josepi i wish i didn't take all them college loans man
17:00i wish i'm rich i wish i would uh apply myself a little bit better in uh in high school i think
17:06i was so set on uh like doing radio or media um that i was just like about networking all i knew
17:14was how to like i had that gift of the gab to just kind of talk to people and you know just kind of
17:19network and you were just alluding to like the you know i don't know how you get in these places but
17:23you did but that's always been like my my whole stees is just kind of you know working my way into
17:29them situations it's crazy because i i was a shy kid in like middle school high school but the
17:33equalizer is them turntables yeah that's it that's that's it start playing the music
17:38icebreaker hey can you get this song over me icebreakers exactly but yeah i wish i would have
17:44did that i wish i would have applied myself better in school so i wouldn't have so many
17:47i plead the feezy that's a wrap right there there we go
