00:23and they tell me all sorts of tales about stuff they've seen
00:26and had happened to them in and around the house.

00:40All right, how you doing, man?
00:41I'm doing great.
00:41John?
00:42I'm well, thank you for having us.
00:44Jess?
00:45Excellent.
00:45All right, good to see you guys.
00:46Thank you guys so much for swinging by the studio here to talk about
00:49the Orson Star House in Royal Oak.
00:52And I saw you guys did something a few months back with Channel 7,
00:56and that was kind of cool because when they filmed it,
00:58it was like this rainy, kind of eerie kind of day.
01:02But first of all, John, tell us about the house.
01:04So the house is the oldest house in Royal Oak.
01:08It used to be a cabin.
01:11Well, it started off as a cabin across the street where the 7-Eleven is.
01:16Eventually, they moved it to where it stands now.
01:19What year was that?
01:20Do you know?
01:21So the house now built in 1845.
01:25Okay.
01:26The cabin, obviously, prior to that, they need a little more room,
01:30so they built the house where it stands.
01:33And, Dave, whereabouts exactly is this house?
01:36This is on the corner of Main Street.
01:39And what is it?
01:4013 Mile.
01:4113 Mile.
01:42Okay.
01:43So maybe like right off the corner, a couple houses down,
01:47sits in this little neighborhood, quiet, end of the street.
01:51Can't miss it.
01:52Little White House.
01:53Yeah.
01:53I mean, it looks old, obviously.
01:55You know, it's one of those older houses.
01:56But Dave and John, you guys got to teach Jess how to, you know,
02:00do the marketing with the hat on the right way.
02:04I'm just kidding.
02:05There it goes.
02:07But, and Jess, well, Jess, tell me about, before we started,
02:12you talked about some sort of spirit box encounter you had at this house.
02:15Is that right?
02:16We've had spirit box encounters at the house,
02:18but specifically we were referring to kind of what got me into the whole
02:23paranormal investigation to begin with.
02:26Okay.
02:26Well, tell us that.
02:27Go ahead.
02:27Okay.
02:27So we were at Eloise.
02:29This was John and myself before Flyer Paranormal was official.
02:34And we're in Eloise, second floor.
02:37And what year are we talking about here?
02:3919.
02:40Yep.
02:4020.
02:40So you guys are kind of new at this.
02:42We're relatively new.
02:43Right.
02:43And so we get into Eloise and we're on the second floor and we all start
02:49feeling strange in the specific room and I broke out my spirit box.
02:55And prior to this,
02:56I had told the guys I didn't want to hear a specific name on the spirit box.
03:00So my friend died when I was 17 years old,
03:04had a Ouija board encounter, supposedly contacted him.
03:07Very strange.
03:08Never touched a Ouija board again.
03:10We get here.
03:10I tell everyone that I didn't want to hear his name and what comes through the
03:14name, but Steve, Steve, Steve, Steve, my buddy.
03:17And you were there, John?
03:18There.
03:18Yeah.
03:19And so everyone was kind of looking at me because I had told them prior,
03:22they're like, what in the world, you know?
03:24And so then it says, you know, after I'm lost and I recorded it,
03:28I have it, you know, chopped up and, you know, on a video.
03:33So it's,
03:34it's pretty interesting to get information like that from beyond.
03:39Yeah.
03:39Interesting is one way to put it for sure.
03:41So, uh, yeah, Dave, uh, how long you've been doing this?
03:44Um, same thing.
03:45So basically a little quick story, uh,
03:47John and myself went to school together since the third grade,
03:51I saw him post a paranormal music box online on Instagram.
03:56Like look at my little toy.
03:57I'm like, I know what that is.
03:59So I reached out to him.
04:01Hey, buddy, uh, are you into the paranormal?
04:04He said, uh, yeah.
04:05He said, are you?
04:06I said, uh, yeah.
04:07So he's like, uh, how about we start a team?
04:10And there we go.
04:11We just started it from that ground up.
04:13Wow.
04:13That's cool.
04:14So where does the name flyer paranormal come from?
04:17So, uh, flyer paranormal comes from Dave and I's high school.
04:21Uh, we went to the willow run school district, our high school,
04:24our mascot was the flyers.
04:26Okay.
04:27So the high school's gone.
04:29They joined forces with Ypsilanti.
04:31So it's, it's a combined district.
04:33So there's no more willow run.
04:34So we thought what better way to relive our childhood doing this ghostly
04:40stuff with our, you know, old school, high school mascot.
04:44Now, before we get back into, uh, the, uh, Orson star house,
04:47cause like I said before, I have a million questions about this.
04:50Uh, you guys grew up in Ipsy and, you know, here on the haunted Michigan,
04:53you know, show that it's like Ipsy comes up quite a bit.
04:57So, uh, Dave, have you, uh, investigate anything in Ipsy?
05:00You know what?
05:01No.
05:02Um, but I know of a lot of places that are haunted.
05:06Um, uh, the closest we've investigated was the soup cemetery in Belleville
05:13right off the 94 service drive.
05:15Okay.
05:15Um, pretty close by, um, other side of the willow run airport.
05:19So, um, other than that, I know of a lot of places around that people say
05:24that are haunted, that have been investigated and we've just never went
05:28that route yet.
05:30Um, uh, honestly, the reason why I think is because a lot of people are
05:35closing that idea down, um, of being investigated, having people come into
05:40their property, you know?
05:42Yeah.
05:42That's the thing.
05:42It's like some of these places, uh, I have, I have friends of mine that own
05:45restaurants and stuff and, and they welcome this, but some of them don't,
05:49you know, because they, they don't want, you know, they don't want that kind
05:53of reputation or that kind of stigma attached to it.
05:55So, all right.
05:56So let's get back to the Orson star house.
05:58So when was the first time you guys investigated this, Jess?
06:01Well, these guys actually started flyer paranormal before I joined.
06:07So the first time we were there December of, uh, 21.
06:11And so how do you hear about this house and how do you get permission to go in
06:15and watch it?
06:16So we're friends with, uh, another fellow from a team out on the West side
06:20of the state.
06:21We were communicating with him about, you know, we needed a spot to go.
06:25So he was like, Hey, check out Orson star house.
06:27I'm really low.
06:28So we call up Orson star house, get in touch with Alex Kerrigan, Kerrigan,
06:32the docent for the museum.
06:34Great lady.
06:36Um, so we scheduled a time, we go out there, uh, and she says, you can have it
06:41from this time to this time.
06:43And we went out there and did our thing.
06:45Now nobody lives there.
06:45No one lives there.
06:46Okay.
06:47But they hold events there throughout, you know, throughout the year and not
06:51just paranormal events like, uh, coming up on May 20th is like civil war days
06:55for the house.
06:58And it was turned over to the city, what in the sixties?
07:01Um, late sixties, early seventies.
07:02So it's a historical house.
07:04Oh yeah.
07:04Yeah.
07:04I gotcha.
07:05They consider it as like a small city museum.
07:07All right.
07:08So I'll, I'll go around the room here.
07:10So Jess, what's the craziest experience you've had in the Orson star house?
07:14Okay.
07:14That, I guess that was just recently.
07:16Uh, we had a group upstairs.
07:17We were in the child's room and, uh,
07:20And by the way, hold on.
07:21Stop right there.
07:21Do you know the child's name?
07:23So there's many different children.
07:25Okay.
07:25Uh, you know, potentially we've come into contact with a few, which is kind of
07:31subjective depending on, uh, how you interpret the, uh, EVPs that we've
07:36collected.
07:36Okay.
07:37You know, but, uh,
07:38So you're in the room.
07:39We're, we're right next to the room and we have a bunch of, uh, we have EMF
07:44detectors.
07:44We have a soccer ball.
07:46We have six or seven people up there.
07:49And all of a sudden all of us feel a chill, right?
07:54Like wind rushing through all of our devices go off.
07:58So they all start blinking, indicating that there's some sort of disturbance in
08:02the electromagnetic field and the soccer ball moves and everybody's just kind of
08:08blown away.
08:08Right.
08:09Cause you collect as much subjective evidence as you can.
08:12But when you have multiple different hits, then you, you tend to be able to
08:16believe that that, that was something.
08:18And how far did this soccer ball move?
08:19I mean, it, it moved a couple inches.
08:22It wasn't like it was kicked down the hall or anything, but it was, and everybody
08:25was able to witness it.
08:27And with, uh, various devices around the circle going off before this happened,
08:33you know, it was just, uh, it was really interesting.
08:36So at that time, are you calling out a specific person's name?
08:40You're in the child's room.
08:42So you don't know a name?
08:43Not, we didn't ask for a specific name.
08:45We're asking to make communication with whoever wants to communicate, you know?
08:49And so there's a wide variety of possibilities.
08:52There's so many different artifacts in the house that could potentially have energy
08:57associated with it.
08:58So we were just trying to make contact and then it was just kind of a rush of, uh, energy
09:04moving through the room.
09:05And, uh, John, was that your biggest experience there or you got a different story?
09:08So, uh, if I could add to, you asked about the name, uh, Lydia Starr's name did come
09:14through.
09:15Oh, Lydia.
09:15Okay.
09:15So that is one of the, uh, children that, uh, passed away.
09:19I mean, they're all dead now, right?
09:20Well, I was going to say, do you know the history of all the people that lived in the
09:23house?
09:24Like how, like when they died and different things like that?
09:26Just the immediate Starr family.
09:28Okay.
09:28Um.
09:29And were they the original owners?
09:30Original owners.
09:31The house scene forged.
09:33I think it was four generations of Starr's up until the late 1960s.
09:37Okay.
09:37And then, uh, the house went kind of dormant and then the city took it over.
09:41So that, so for over a hundred years, the same family owned that house?
09:47Yeah.
09:47Just kept handing it down or whatever the case is?
09:49Just kept moving down the line.
09:50Gotcha.
09:51So what was your greatest experience there?
09:53My greatest experience there, uh, December, 2019.
09:57It was our very first investigation at the house.
10:00First time in the house.
10:01Uh, Alex gives a tour to everybody that comes in, explains the different rooms and items
10:06and where they come from.
10:08And let me, let me back up.
10:09So at this point, are you just like, uh, are you just there on the tour?
10:12So, so no, we were there to investigate.
10:15So we were there to investigate and Alex, you know, asked us if we wanted a tour of the
10:20house before we got going.
10:21We said, yeah.
10:22It's just, it was just Dave and you at the time?
10:24Uh, it was myself, Dave.
10:26We had two sisters on the team at that time.
10:29Okay.
10:29Yeah.
10:29Jeannie and Sandy.
10:30And then my wife comes along as well.
10:32Okay.
10:33So by the way, my wife would not, she wouldn't come.
10:37So my wife hates it, but I'm like, you have to go.
10:41I need your help.
10:41My wife doesn't go to things that aren't haunted.
10:43So anyways, but go ahead.
10:44So Alex has Dave, Jeannie and Sandy, uh, giving them the tour.
10:49I'm trying to clear card space on my laptop.
10:53I'm in the kitchen.
10:54The kitchen door is kind of right behind me to my right and I'm clearing space.
10:59My wife's in the other room over in the living room area.
11:04Next thing you know, the, the door behind me kind of blacks out.
11:09I turn around real slow and there's, you mean in your peripheral, in my peripheral, it blacks
11:16out.
11:16I turn real slow.
11:18There's something standing there blocking the light coming from the, the other room.
11:23Um, and then when I get fully around, I see it, it disappears.
11:28I go back, I'm doing my thing, comes back again.
11:32Okay.
11:32So I turn around this time.
11:33It stays longer.
11:35So this happened again for a third time.
11:37I turn around, I'm looking at this shadow figure.
11:40So was it a, was it a shadow person?
11:43It was a shadow person.
11:44Okay.
11:45Uh, probably about almost six foot tall.
11:48Of course it had a brimmed hat on.
11:50So everyone there in the basement.
11:53My wife's in the other room.
11:54I didn't tell anyone about it.
11:56And then on the way home, I'm like, I'm telling my wife, I got to tell you something.
12:01She's like, no, I have to tell you something.
12:04And I was like, all right, you go first.
12:06She said, when you were in the kitchen, this man kept coming and standing in the doorway at
12:11the kitchen.
12:12And she said, she said he came three times over there.
12:17And I was like, shut the heck up because that's the exact thing I was going to tell you.
12:22And so, I mean, the confirmation about the shadow figure in the house.
12:26So she's in a different room, sees the same thing you are, and you're in a different room.
12:29Did anyone else on that tour see it or just you and your wife?
12:31Just me and my wife.
12:33Gotcha.
12:33And like I say, the other part of the team, they were in the basement with Alex doing the tour.
12:38Gotcha.
12:38But man, you will see snippets of, you know, shadow movement in the house here and there.
12:46No kidding.
12:47Since then, I haven't seen a full-blown shadow figure again, but I think it's just a matter of time.
12:53That's quite a welcome to the Orson Starr house.
12:56Very first time.
12:57Yeah.
12:57Dave, what do you got?
12:58What's your greatest experience?
12:59Oh, man.
13:00Just a couple of different kinds of noises there.
13:03But you would think, okay, subjective, correct.
13:06These noise were a little bit different.
13:08It was on the upper landing by the ceiling on the way to the basement.
13:13So you got the kitchen, and it's one-step landing basement stairs.
13:18The difference is when you go on the outside of the door, you don't see a place where somebody can get up
13:25or, you know, get on there and make noise, like footsteps.
13:29So I heard what sounds like somebody upstairs running or little kid's footsteps.
13:38I'm like, what the heck was that?
13:40I said, John, he's at the bottom of the stairs.
13:42Everybody's in the basement.
13:44Nobody's on the second floor.
13:45Nobody's on the top floor.
13:47Nobody's outside.
13:48Nobody's anywhere.
13:50I said, John, check this out.
13:52He's like, what?
13:53Listen.
13:54He's like, come on now.
13:56I was like, check, listen?
13:58Sure enough.
14:00He's like, what the heck?
14:01So we bounced outside, opened the door really fast, looked up on the roof.
14:05Nothing.
14:06This was nighttime.
14:08You know, it could have been an animal, but it sounded like thuds, not like little creepily crawlies.
14:14We couldn't find where they would even get up at.
14:16So another time was they have these old wooden beams in the middle of the living room.
14:23Oh, yeah.
14:24About four or five people from the investigation was left over that night.
14:29So I heard this loud boom, like a vibration boom, almost something, I don't know, a loud pipe or something got hit, and it vibrated the whole area because it sounded like another dimension or even outside somewhere.
14:46But it came through the house, through that wooden beam, and I turned to everybody like, I know you guys just heard that.
14:53Like, that was super loud.
14:54There's no way.
14:55You heard it, John.
14:56No.
14:56No.
14:57Oh, you didn't hear it.
14:57No.
14:58And that's a theory I have about the spirits affecting people in different ways.
15:03But I'm not the only one that heard that exact same sound from that exact same wooden pole either.
15:08Other people have on tours?
15:11People have told me, oh, my God, I've heard that also.
15:14So I'm like, wait, what?
15:15Very, very crazy.
15:17It almost makes you feel like you're going crazy sometimes because, like, you guys didn't hear that.
15:22Come on, man.
15:23Like, quit playing with me.
15:24We had a good argument that day.
15:26Yeah, yeah.
15:28Yeah, well, I know I'm not crazy, and I'm a believer.
15:32Well, let me ask you and John about this.
15:35Both of you guys have necklaces.
15:36Is there any reason for that?
15:38I would say more of a protection thing.
15:42I was going to ask that, yeah.
15:43I love stones.
15:44You got something, too?
15:46I feel like, okay, you guys need to protect me, apparently.
15:50I thought it was maybe just your Mr. T-Starter kit or something.
15:52I didn't know what was going on here.
15:54Oh, no, I love stones, you know.
15:57Oh, so, yeah, so it's that kind of, it protects you or whatever.
16:01Oh, yeah.
16:02Have you ever had anything follow you home or away?
16:06So, yes, I have, and it's kind of funny.
16:12I use a particular flashlight for investigations.
16:16Now, why is that?
16:17Just because it's small, compact.
16:19Okay.
16:19I can clip it right in my pocket.
16:21It's just, yeah, it's just easy.
16:22Easy.
16:23Gotcha.
16:23So, it comes in red light, comes in white light.
16:27So, as soon as I opened it, the white light was broke.
16:30It never came on.
16:31All right, whatever.
16:33I came home, put my flashlight away.
16:36My wife and I step out.
16:37We go shopping for the day.
16:39We come back, and I hear her in the house yelling, and she's cursing at me, telling me that I need to keep my friends away from the house.
16:49And so, I run upstairs.
16:51I don't know what's going on.
16:53And so, my flashlight is turned on on the dresser where I keep it.
16:58And it's the white light, the light that doesn't work.
17:01The one that would work, yeah.
17:01Correct.
17:02And so, yeah, we've had that happen at the house, footsteps at the house.
17:09Now, we think it's because I do the paranormal investigating, but we've never really investigated the house for actual activity.
17:18I don't want to do that.
17:19Tend to stay away from your own house.
17:21Yeah.
17:21Yeah.
17:22Yeah, no kidding.
17:24Yeah.
17:25Man, so, you guys give tours, weekend tours, once a month.
17:29Yep.
17:29And half of the proceeds go to charity.
17:31Now, how many people are allowed on this tour at a time?
17:33I think, did I see 12?
17:34So, we do two time frames on one night, and for each time frame, it's 12 people.
17:40And what time do these start?
17:41So, our first time of the night goes from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m., and then we have a little hour break in there so we can rehydrate to get ready to investigate.
17:50And then they come back at, we have another group come in at 11 p.m., and we go until 2 a.m.
17:56And, of course, as the days get longer now, the 7 o'clock one is going to be in the daytime.
18:00So, that's still cool.
18:01Yeah.
18:01Oh, yeah, especially because of the basement, you know.
18:04Okay.
18:04Start down there.
18:05Gotcha.
18:06Work your way up.
18:07By that time, it's getting dark.
18:09So, Dave, I'll start with you here.
18:11Excuse me for a second, John.
18:12You were going to say, I'm sorry.
18:13Oh, I was just going to say, I don't think it really matters what time of day it is.
18:18You can always get activities.
18:20Okay.
18:20Yeah.
18:20All right.
18:21Well, Dave, I'll start with you, and we'll work our way back now.
18:23What's the craziest thing that you've experienced with tourists, with giving out tourists in this house?
18:30I would say there was a lady.
18:33It was one of our first investigations.
18:35There was a lady that claimed to see and feel things, you know, medium per se.
18:41And she's just rambling throughout the investigation and telling us basically what we don't hear and what we're not seeing or hearing ourselves.
18:53And everything she's saying is supposedly authentic.
18:57And it was just, as the night went on, everybody's, like, tired of our stuff.
19:02And it's just like, come on now.
19:04It's like, you know, I don't know.
19:06So, that was kind of weird because there's a lot of people like that.
19:11So, you've got to just be careful.
19:12I would just say, just, I respect everyone's opinion on every answer or, you know, detail that they bring up.
19:23So, it's like, for me, as long as you respect my opinion on what I believe, then I'll respect yours, and we can go from there and let bygones be bygones.
19:31And that was always a kind of creepy little thing to me, you know.
19:36She said some weird things.
19:38I didn't want to go that far, John.
19:40I mean, creepy weird.
19:41Yeah.
19:41Yeah, exactly.
19:43Was she there by herself?
19:45No, there was a, it was within a group.
19:48Okay, but was she there by, did she go?
19:49Oh, by herself, yeah.
19:50Yes.
19:51Is that the weirdest thing you've seen on tour?
19:55With our guests?
19:56Yeah.
19:56No, and we had a lady come in and said that she had participated in a few different exorcisms.
20:10Oh, that's right.
20:11And so, we always kind of group up at the end of the night, share stories, what happened, this and this.
20:17And this lady, you know, she says, I just want to, before we start talking, I just want to say how refreshing this was.
20:25And then tears started streaming down her face.
20:28And then she went into this story about, she had to have an exorcism on her friend in a hospital.
20:36And she said, what you see in the movies, yes, it's like that, but it was almost, she said, a hundred times worse.
20:44Really?
20:45Yeah, and she's bawling.
20:46She's, like, actually bawling her eyes out, telling us her exorcism story.
20:52That was creepy.
20:54And I talked to Jess about that afterwards, and I'm like, so, you know, we go out here, and we're trying to have fun with people and interact with these spirits.
21:02And I'm like, what happens if we come across something like that?
21:07What the heck are we going to do?
21:08Yeah.
21:10What do you think, Jess?
21:11Well, I mean, you always kind of wonder, right?
21:14Yeah.
21:14I mean, everybody has these different experiences.
21:17Some people tend to perceive different sensations than others.
21:22And so, I mean, you just kind of write it and keep it in the back of your head and just continue on with what you're trying to investigate yourself, you know?
21:32It's definitely worrisome if, you know, something like that were potentially to happen, but we just keep it kind of lighthearted, you know, and we have fun.
21:43We have a good time, and I haven't experienced anything that seems demonic or, thank God, you know, because, yeah, how would you respond?
21:53You're wearing that stuff around your neck, so you're protected.
21:55Right, right.
21:56That's all it takes.
21:57I mean, that really happens.
21:58Yeah, it is crazy, you know?
22:00I mean, yeah, the stuff you could get into.
22:03It's like, you know, you got to be careful, I suppose, but how do you be careful, you know?
22:07So, Jess, I'll start with you since this is Haunted Michigan.
22:10What other places in Michigan have you been to that you felt spirits, you felt a lot of energy?
22:16Well, we actually investigated the Hamburg Museum.
22:21We were the first ones to investigate that.
22:22The Hamburg Museum, interesting, because I've been to the Hamburg Pub, obviously, so it's by it, okay.
22:29Yep, yep, so I grew up in Hamburg, and so it was really cool that we were the first ones to investigate there.
22:37And we had some interesting things when we would speak of the Bible.
22:41We would get, you know, our EMF detectors would go off, and we would talk about priests, and multiple people there felt like they were touched.
22:50A couple people had to leave just from that negative feeling.
22:55And so, I mean, to have something that close to home base was really cool, you know, to be that part of history.
23:01And so it's exciting to investigate these different locations, for sure.
23:05What about you, John?
23:06All right, Christine's Arts and Antiques.
23:10Where's that?
23:11It's in Cairo, Michigan.
23:13Oh, okay.
23:15It's an antique shop now, but it is a former funeral home.
23:20Now, for one second, wasn't the Orson Starr House also a funeral home at one point?
23:25They did do funeral services there, yes.
23:27Okay, gotcha.
23:28And they have a really cool door called a coffin door at the front.
23:31So, yes, you have to check it out.
23:33All right, so go back to the...
23:35So, Christine's Arts and Antiques, Cairo, Michigan, awesome store, awesome owner, kind of moving about.
23:45We did an investigation there for the world's largest ghost hunt, and I'm showing...
23:50Wait, but what's that?
23:51So, right now, we don't know if it's going to happen again.
23:55Some things happened last year, but the world's largest ghost hunt is a day in which teams across the globe investigate on this particular day, and there's a list of intentions for each team to try and communicate with the spirits.
24:13So, and then we submit our evidence when we do these guided sessions with the spirits, if you will, and then we send that off.
24:23They do a collective research analysis, I guess, if you want to call it that, and, you know, they basically see if the world is connected spiritually.
24:35Gotcha.
24:35So, what happened last year that they might not do it?
24:38So, last year, they did it.
24:40Jess is like, yeah, mm-hmm.
24:41So, we ran into some screaming problems, and Dave is laughing because I got pretty heated.
24:48He's usually calm and collected, and he was perturbed.
24:52Oh, so something crazy didn't happen, but your stuff was got guys screwed up.
24:56We did have crazy stuff, man.
24:57Yeah, and I'll explain that one, yeah.
25:00So, I'm giving...
25:02We had a medium on there.
25:03We made it an event, you know, all-day event.
25:05Come out, see the medium.
25:07Come see us.
25:07Come buy some crystals.
25:09Come buy Christine's.
25:11So, I'm showing the medium around, and I'm like, come on, you've got to see this office.
25:14It's the funeral director's office.
25:16So, we've got to walk down this small, tight hallway that's not part of the shop, and immediately,
25:22I'm in front of her, every hair on my body is standing up, and I turn around to ask her
25:28if she's feeling this, and she's looking at her arms like this, and she's like, yeah,
25:33they're here.
25:34I'm like, okay, all right, well, come on.
25:36We're not to the office yet.
25:38So, we turn the corner, go into the office, and I'm explaining that when we were there
25:43prior, this, our REM pods were going off, we had good interaction on the EVPs, this
25:49was a really great room for activity.
25:53And then, right after I got done telling her that, it felt like someone was inside my stomach
26:00just like churning and churning.
26:03And I told her, I was like, you know what?
26:05And then, when I said that, immediate emotions like overcame my body.
26:11Like, I wanted to start bawling.
26:13And I told her, I was like, so, this never happens, and I'm trying to fight through whatever
26:17the heck's going on in my stomach.
26:19I'm like, I've got to get out of this room.
26:22So, she's like, come on, quick, let's go.
26:24So, she gives me this piece of quartz crystal to hold on to, said that it will help bring
26:30me back to, help ground me again.
26:33And she's like, you know what happened, right?
26:35And I'm like, well, I kind of have an understanding of what happened.
26:39She said, well, you were standing in the funeral director's space.
26:43He was letting you know that it's okay.
26:46You just had an adverse reaction to him interacting with you.
26:51And I had this nausea that lasted for about a good 30 minutes afterwards.
26:58And then, I was still emotional.
27:00Like, I was just really sad for probably another 30 minutes after we left out of there.
27:06Wow.
27:07So, when is this World Ghost Day?
27:10When has this happened?
27:10So, typically, the last couple years, we did an event the last couple years, and typically,
27:16it's in September.
27:16Okay.
27:17So, this is just last September?
27:19Just last September.
27:20Wow.
27:20Yep.
27:21Were you guys there yesterday?
27:22Were you there also?
27:23Yeah.
27:24Oh, yeah.
27:24Yeah.
27:25It was a very, very, we had a lot of curious instances that night.
27:31I mean, potentially, we solved a murder.
27:35We probably shouldn't even get into that, but we had an individual there.
27:39No lie.
27:40Who had his girlfriend, they were going to get married.
27:44She had fallen down some steps, and she had recently died.
27:48And he was sure that we were communicating with her.
27:53The voice that was coming through our spirit box, he said, matched hers perfectly.
27:58And so, it was a very, we had to kind of stay away from that subject and let's, okay, let's move away from this and investigate some other area because it just got so intense for the individual himself dealing with this.
28:14But at the same point, he was able to, it seemed like, kind of get past, you know, the situation and get some closure.
28:23You know, he felt like she was telling him that it was okay at the end and that she was, wherever she was, she was doing fine.
28:32I have a funny, well, I have a, I guess, funny, creepy story with that.
28:36After we left there, after that investigation, we had an Orson Starr investigation, I think it was the next week.
28:44This is in September last year?
28:46Yeah, September last year.
28:47We were doing an EVP session in the mannequin room of the Orson Starr house.
28:52All of a sudden, the girl that was talking to us and Carol was now talking to us at the Orson Starr house.
28:58Really?
28:59You never know what she bring with you.
29:00Wow.
29:02And we confirmed the name.
29:04Was this on a tour or was this just an investigation?
29:06This was a tour.
29:07Oh, no kidding.
29:07Yeah, so a lot of people got to experience that.
29:11And we confirmed the name and then we also asked her, again, just to confirm that it was her.
29:18Excuse me.
29:20Can you tell us again what happened?
29:23And she said, I don't want to, please don't ask.
29:28Wow.
29:28Wow, that's something.
29:31And so, Dave, as far as Michigan is concerned, you got anything to add to any of these places that they talked about?
29:38I mean, Carol is one that I can, I got three, four different stories that would make non-believers like kind of peak interest.
29:47But my favorite was, and we got it on video, it's on our pages, Facebook or Instagram or even TikTok.
29:55My favorite is when we were doing a pre-investigation at the Carol, Christine's Arts and Antiques.
30:01We did this little silly thing where light is a feather, stiff as a board kind of thing.
30:07So, Jess is like, let's do that and try it, you know, try to get our energy up and our, you know, everything's middled and centered.
30:16And, you know, so we tried that.
30:18Who were you trying to lift up?
30:20The biggest person in the room.
30:22So, John's laying there on the floor.
30:25Me and Jess, we're just, you know, shaking our bad juju off and trying to get our energies lifted.
30:31And so, we're going through the light as a feather, stiff as a board and whatnot.
30:37And all of a sudden, upon review of that video, so he said something about his necklace or his hoodie.
30:46And as soon as he did, I saw a wispy little orb do like a little roller coaster motion into his neck area.
30:54And it also made a whooshing noise like.
30:57No kidding.
30:58I swear to goodness, it was the most creepiest thing ever.
31:03And I wish it was like a little more detailed in the video, but you can definitely clearly see a wispy little orb.
31:11And it's not like a piece of lint or, you know, it's like wispy, like a cloud of smoke, like a little small cloud of smoke just going like a roller coaster motion into his neck.
31:24Like, it was the weirdest, right when he was experiencing something.
31:28No kidding.
31:29Oh, yeah.
31:31That's incredible.
31:32Well, we got to give a plug out to my friends from the Detroit Paranormal Expeditions because they sent me a video as well from the Orson Star House.
31:39And what room is that that they were in?
31:41That looked to be Rhoda's bedroom, the bedroom on the first floor.
31:45Okay, because they were talking about a dress.
31:48Yes.
31:48And Todd and Jeff, and they were talking about a dress.
31:50And I played it for you guys early.
31:52You can hear it.
31:52You can clearly hear a woman say yes.
31:54Oh, that was.
31:55Absolutely.
31:55That was pretty, pretty creepy.
31:57Yeah.
31:57That was pretty creepy.
31:59So, well, wrapping things up here, I just want to thank you guys, first of all, for us stopping down Flyer Paranormal.

32:10Like, what's the schedule for the tour?
32:11So, our tour, so being that we all work and have, we're not full-time paranormal investigators, we kind of schedule it a month out.
32:19So, right now, we're at May 20th.
32:22Unfortunately, that hunt has been sold out.
32:26Well, that's great.
32:26I mean, it's awesome.
32:27It really is.
32:29And then our next hunt, though, we have tickets on sale for is June 3rd.
32:33And then we have another hunt that will be coming out July 29th.
32:37And when it gets to the fall and the spooky season, to coin a phrase, do you guys ramp it up a little bit?
32:44So, we do ramp it up.
32:47We try to hit more locations, so to say.
32:51So, we're kind of communicating with those folks right now, trying to set the schedule.
32:55Yeah.
32:56And do you find, since this is hot in Michigan, I don't know how much you guys have traveled or something,
33:01but do you find that there is a lot of places in this state that is good for investigating?
33:06Oh, absolutely.
33:07Oh, yeah.
33:08Big time.
33:08Sure.
33:09And local stuff, too.
33:11I know one location where we're actually going to hold an event there coming up in June.
33:19It's the Terrified Forest in Pinckney.
33:22Have you heard of it?
33:23I don't know if I have.
33:25Okay.
33:25So, it's an actual seasonal haunt.
33:28So, they do.
33:29It's like a haunted attraction.
33:30Okay.
33:30So, when we first started, I was looking for places to investigate.
33:36So, it was there in town.
33:37I contacted Marie, the owner.
33:40I'm like, hey, is your place haunted?
33:42Do you ever have any kind of activity?
33:44I'd love to come and check it out.
33:45Well, she was on board.
33:47We went.
33:47We did an investigation.
33:48She told us about some things that happened there.
33:51And on our first investigation there, it's awesome.
33:54We always get good stuff on our very first times.
33:57Yeah, you're right.
33:58We're walking it back into the manor.
34:00They call this place the manor.
34:01They haven't used it.
34:02It's an old house on the property.
34:04And one of her group members, someone that was there with her, says, there's someone
34:12in that back room.
34:13I just seen a move.
34:14Okay.
34:15So, no one's supposed to be on this property but us.
34:18So, they go one way to that room.
34:21We're going the other way.
34:22And we're explaining, hey, this is a private investigation.
34:26No one's supposed to be here.
34:27I'm picking the camera up.
34:29And I'm behind Dave.
34:30We're going towards this room.
34:32And right as Dave gets done saying, hey, no one's supposed to be here but us, we have
34:38an EVP come over our, or a disembodied voice come over our camera.
34:42And it says, kill me.
34:44Oh, jeez.
34:45And it's, it's the creepiest, creepiest sounding, you know, voice you could have.
34:52Now, you heard this after.
34:53Yeah, this was not there.
34:56You know, I don't know if you guys are, you know, a lot more, you know, known about this
35:00stuff than I am.
35:01But it's like, it seems like a lot of this stuff, you film and film and film, and then
35:04you've got to re-watch it.
35:05Yes.
35:06Because you pick up things.
35:07Oh, my gosh.
35:08Lots of hours going to reviewing.
35:10I told you guys earlier, I talked to Steve Shippey.
35:14Yes.
35:15And the Hell House up in Mid-State Michigan, have you guys ever been there or heard anything
35:19about that?
35:20Never been there.
35:22The Hell House, that was the documentary, the latest one, right?
35:24Yeah.
35:25So I watched that, but never been there in person.
35:28Yeah, that seemed really bizarre.
35:31Oh, yeah.
35:31Right.
35:32And I mean, when you get, when you get in touch with witches, I mean, I'm not throwing any
35:37shade out there, but, you know, things could be crazy.
35:40Yeah.
35:41And it's like, I realized that, you know, they film for hours and hours and hours, and
35:44they put this whole thing together.
35:45But some of the stuff they caught on tape was incredible.
35:48Yes.
35:49I know.
35:50So, well, we'll look forward to heading out to the Orson Star House.
