00:00Venezuelan government rejects measures by the United States administration annexed from
00:16Raiwin.
00:17In Myanmar, an earthquake of magnitude 7.7 on the Richard scale shocked the center of
00:25the country, leaving at least 153 people dead and severe damage to infrastructure.
00:32And for the first time since the ceasefire agreement of November 2024, the Israeli occupation
00:39forces launched attacks on the Lebanese capital, Beirut.
00:48Hello and welcome to From the South, I'm Ana Marrero from the TELESUR headquarters
00:51in Caracas, Venezuela.
00:53We begin with the news, stay with us.
01:09President Nicolás Maduro rejects the unilateral coercive measures imposed by the Trump administration
01:15against the Venezuelan productive system, condemning that these actions were required
01:20by the Venezuelan extreme Raiwin.
01:28In its opportunity, the criminal economic sanctions condemned by the entire Venezuelan
01:34public opinion were carefully requested by a few unspeakable individuals, who have pretended
01:40and believed that by causing economic harm, and consequently causing social harm to their
01:46country, our country which belongs to all Venezuelans, they are going to have a bed
02:08of roses to reach political power in Venezuela, and become the saviors in some cases of national
02:19history.
02:25Since the history we have lived through has shown that it is a crime against an entire
02:29country, against an entire society to have requested or supported sanctions against the
02:38economy, and the healthy functioning of the national productive mechanism.
02:51The first conference of the Bolivar-Alanz Ministers and High Authorities of Transportation
02:56for the Peoples of our American Strait Agreement took place in Caracas, the capital city.
03:01The Executive Secretary of the Alanz, Jorge Arreaza, welcomed the guest minister from
03:06various countries.
03:07In addition, he explained that the purpose of these meetings is to strengthen ties among
03:13other member nations in order to advance the region's economy and transportation sector.
03:21Our Minister, Ramon Velasquez, stated that the advancements of the transport infrastructure
03:26in each of the nations that includes this treaty is a very important task for transport
03:31officials.
03:38Science and Technology Minister of Venezuela, Gabriela Jiménez, ensured that the proposal
03:43of President Nicolás Maduro aimed at building up the future of the people of the Global
03:48South.
03:52President Nicolás Maduro's proposal for ALBA is a plan to build up the future.
03:57It is a proposal that has been accepted by each of the member presidents of the Alliance,
04:01what's its will?
04:03The proposal's will is to train our new young scientists, who do not have to travel to the
04:07old world, to the universities of the old world, to other hegemonic and dominant educational
04:15models so that from our spaces they obtain the capabilities by means of our culture and
04:20our intercultural dialogue.
04:24In a phone call with UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres, Venezuelan President Nicolás
04:29Maduro emphasized the significance of the UN system taking a firm stance to protect
04:34the rights of the Venezuelan migrants.
04:37Through a communiqué, Venezuelan Prime Minister Iván Gil emphasized the purpose of this request
04:42is to secure the immediate and unconditional release of the 203 compatriots unjustly detained
04:49in the concentration camps in El Salvador, where they have been imprisoned without any
04:55judicial process and deprived of their rights to defense.
05:05In this sense, Cuba also rejects Washington's threats against Venezuelan sovereignty to
05:10satisfy its own interests.
05:13Through social networks, the Cuban Prime Minister Bruno Rodríguez highlighted the United States'
05:19UN Secretary's threat against the Venezuelan endangered, the peace, security and stability
05:26of Latin America and the Caribbean.
05:28We are well aware of his ability to light and promote the use of force to advance in
05:34his interests.
05:41Venezuela rejects Chile's move to take before the ICC a case that has long been resolved
05:48in order to attack the sovereignty of Venezuela and please U.S. agendas.
05:53In this context, the Venezuelan Prime Minister published the following statements on its
05:57social media.
06:01The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela categorically rejects the absurd farce that the government
06:06of Chile intends to stage before the International Court of Criminal Court based on lies and
06:12falsehoods that only exists in the imagination of those who have decided to turn foreign
06:18policies into a shoddy spectacle following the anti-Venezuelan policy line of the late
06:25Sebastián Piñera in the best Venezuelan style of creating false flags of operations.
06:32As an attempt to take an isolated case, FIBA lies to the ICC is not only legally untainable
06:40but also reveals a complete ignorance of how the international system and the Rome Statute
06:46works.
06:47The ICC is not a court that airs the fanciful low fables of immature political intrigues
06:53nor a stage for media instants.
06:55It is clear that Chilean authorities have no idea of how these mechanisms operate or
07:02worse still that they are simply willing to distort them in order to align themselves
07:08with interests aligned to justice.
07:11This position not only lacks a legal basis but is also sustained by vicious hatred against
07:18Venezuela demonstrating the desperation to place agendas that come from the U.S. seeks
07:24to erode the sovereignty of the state.
07:28Chile instead of leading itself to shameful manoeuvres should focus on its own serious
07:34internal issues including systematic violations of the human rights of the Mapuche people
07:38and the oppression of the social protestors.
07:43Venezuela is a country that can give lessons about respect for human rights and the dignity
07:47of peoples.
07:48We will not accept attacks from those who have made from institutional violence an everyday
07:55practice and who are now trying to divert attention from their own serious clumsy political
08:01manoeuvres.
08:02We are at Civil Act at the Colorado Party House and the participation of four presidents
08:17celebrates the 40th anniversary of the return of the most grassy to the country.
08:21The event was attended by the current president of Uruguay, Yamandu Orseon, former president
08:26Julio Maria San Agnetti, Jose Mujica and Luis Alberto Lacalle Herrera who debated for more
08:33than an hour while former president Luis Lacalle Poe also sent a video with statements.

09:10Welcome back to From the South. Myanmar declared a state of emergency in regions affected by
09:21the 7.7 magnitude earthquake that shocked the center of the country and so far left
09:27more than 150 people dead and severe damage to infrastructure. The turmoil was recorded
09:33at 12.50 p.m. local time at a depth of 10 kilometers and the epicenter was located about
09:4117 kilometers from Mandalia, the second largest city in the Asian country with 1.2 million
09:48inhabitants. The first images published by the country's media show collapsed buildings,
09:53temples and structures.
09:58Meanwhile, the earthquake also hit Thailand where residential buildings and offices were
10:06evacuated. Public broadcaster Thai PBS reported the collapse of 33 buildings under construction
10:13in the capital which housed around 50 people, seven of whom managed to escape while the
10:19rest were trapped. According to the latest information, at least eight people have been
10:23found dead at the scene.
10:31The Indian government offered humanitarian aid to Myanmar and Thailand after the 7.7
10:34magnitude earthquake hit both nations. Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended his support
10:40to the government of Myanmar and Thailand to respond to the emergency arising from a
10:45natural disaster. The Prime Minister also requested to monitor the situation and to
10:51maintain contact through the foreign ministry. Modi instructed the local authorities to
10:55remain alert in cases of possible aftershocks.
11:03After the 7.7 magnitude earthquake in northern Myanmar, Chinese authorities activated an
11:08emergency alert. Authorities report that the earthquake occurred approximately 294 kilometers
11:14from the Chinese border, 776 kilometers from the city of Kunming, capital of Yunnan province.
11:21They also point out that the earthquake had a 6.4 magnitude aftershock.
11:32South Korean authorities have contained the main blast in the country's largest forest
11:37fire on record as rains and bad weather allow more helicopters to fly underwater, dumps
11:44in the flames. The Ministry of the Korean Forest Service report that the main fires
11:51in five regions were under control by 5 p.m. local time, spread by strong winds in bone-dry
11:56conditions. The wildfires killed at least 28 people and injured more than 45,000 hectares
12:02in the southern region.
12:09The Ecuadorian presidential candidate for the Citizens' Revolution Party, Luisa González,
12:14urged the indigenous communities to be united by the time of her visit to their cities.
12:20González has complied with her said campaign agenda to disclose her government proposal
12:26nationwide ahead of the elections on April 13. Earlier on Thursday, the leftist leader
12:33stopped in a Pugilí city where she had lied that she would respect and defend consulting
12:39indigenous people in case of any oil and mining projects in the future.
12:48Meanwhile, President Daniel Nobel had traveled to the United States, leaving his nation in
12:52the environmental emergency caused by the oil spill in Esmeralda province, where the
12:58government had not found a solution to the crisis triggered by the lack of water due
13:01to polluted rivers. Novela's visit to Miami occurred while the campaign for a presidential
13:06run-out was underway.
13:17In the capital city of Peru, residents staged a protest to demand that the Bolivar government
13:21take action against the wave of violence and insecurity that sweep in the nation, in order
13:27to combat the exploitation and murders that take place in Peru on a daily basis. Activists
13:33urged Dina Bolluarte to enact immediate reforms. Meanwhile, because of the excessive rise in
13:40violence, Peruvian authorities declared a state of emergency in Lima and the Callao
13:45province. In this regard, the unshake expansion of these facts illustrates how ineffective
13:53the officials are in continuing crimes in the country.

14:14Welcome back. For the first time since the ceasefire agreement of November 11, 2012,
14:45the Israeli occupation forces launched attacks on the Lebanese capital, Beirut. The Sudanese
14:50regime attacked the Lebanese city in retaliation for two alleged rockets fired from a Lebanese
14:55territory north of Tel Aviv. Israeli authorities described the alleged attacks as a flagrant
15:02violation of the agreements between Israel and Lebanon and a direct threat to Israeli
15:07people. At the same time, the Israeli army announced that its troops have begun to mobilize
15:14in southern Lebanon in order to neutralize the movements of the Lebanese resistance movement,
15:21Hamas. The Lebanese government urged the international community to exert no more pressure on the
15:30Israeli regime to stop its aggressions toward the southern border towns. The Prime Minister
15:35Nawaf Salam in a statement to request that the Lebanese army to open the necessary investigations
15:43to hold those responsible for the attack on the southern border. In addition, the authority
15:48noted that military forces will resume their operations to prevent the spread of violence
15:54in the region.
15:59The Israeli occupation forces had night time attacks on the Gaza Strip, which killed at
16:05least 14 Palestinians. Outlets informed that Israeli airplanes had dropped bombs on Gaza,
16:11Rafa and the Kenyan cities. They put a report on a strike on the city down, which left eight
16:18civilians casualties, including a baby who had been rescued from the house's rubble.
16:24Meanwhile, Israelis shelled and Eastern Kenyans injured two civilians, including a child.
16:31Official resources registered some 855 deaths and almost 1,800 injuries as a result of both
16:38the broken ceasefire deal by Israel on March 18 and the resumption of the Genocide or Israeli
16:43offensive against the Gaza Strip.
16:48The United Nations warned that M23 rebels have threatened to expand their routes to
16:55Jodhpur and Nineveh provinces in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. On the United Nations
17:02Security Council meeting, the head of the UN Stabilization Mission in the DRC, Benito
17:08Okita, stressed that M23 rebels, after having occupied north and south Kivu with support
17:14of Rwanda, were advancing towards Wali Kali. Therefore, the NDD ensured that M23 was threatening
17:22and endangering the rest of the neighboring territories.
17:31The work commemorates the Al-Qaeda declared in 1979 in solidarity with the Palestinian
17:39resistance and struggle against all forms of oppression. Under the slogan, faithful
17:43to the commitment of Jerusalem's citizens in Iran, India and Yemen, allies to reaffirm
17:50their commitment and historical loyalty to the Palestinian people, and to make visible
17:55the struggle for the recognition of the sovereign states of Palestine, in addition to rejecting
18:01the recent escalation of violence in continuation of the Israeli Genocide against the Gaza Strip
18:06in the occupied territories of the West Bank.
18:14In this context, close to 75,000 workshoppers gathered to pray on the last Friday of Ramadan
18:20at the Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem. The prayer took place in a midst of growing tensions
18:25due to the recent Israeli military offensive in the Gaza Strip and military escalation
18:30in Lebanon. In the Ramadan, the Israeli regime banned entry to Jerusalem to Palestinian men
18:36and women over the age of 50.
