00:00Well, looking at Liverpool's injury situation now, obviously, we've touched on this. It's not been anywhere near as bad as last season for sure,
00:11but there has been some big injuries and there are still some names out. What's the sort of latest you can give us from the Anfield injury table?
00:19And can you see any returns sooner rather than later in this hugely important period now for Liverpool's title ambitions?
00:26At the minute, as we speak, it's only Joe Gomez who is out injured because of a hamstring injury at Plymouth, which is disappointing for him.
00:36I don't think it's anything major like the one he suffered, the original issue at West Ham at the end of December.
00:43He pulled up, he didn't want to make it any worse, but it looks like a hamstring injury, you're always out for a little bit.
00:51Availability of late hasn't been too bad, there have been some injuries this season. Jota, Alisson's picked up a couple, Trent Alexander-Arnold's been out again of late with only a minor quad problem.
01:05And Tyler Moore, a noob who hasn't made the Premier League appearance this season, is currently sidelined with a shoulder injury, but that doesn't really affect Liverpool.
01:15As you say, they've got some massive, massive games coming up and availability will be important.
01:21I think that's why I think Arnold Sloat was a little bit disappointed with going out with the FA Cup, because he's seen that as an opportunity for those players to get rhythm behind them.
01:31And if they are needed in the league or the Champions League, then they will be match fit.
01:37Liverpool's availability has been quite good, especially compared to some of the rivals. You look at Arsenal, Kyle Saka's out, Martinelli's out.
01:46As we speak, reports suggesting Kai Havert might have an issue.
01:51Liverpool have got an advantage on that front, but you never know what might happen in the coming weeks.
01:58Touch wood, they can keep everyone fit. But yeah, I don't know whether maybe the playing style, Arnold Sloat's playing style is a little bit more controlled, a bit more measured.
02:07Maybe that's had something to do with it.
02:10Yeah, just on that, obviously, we saw how strict their side was under Jurgen Klopp last season, you know, with those sort of final games.
02:19And it was a real tough moment for them having to play the youngsters, for example.
02:24They obviously got some fantastic results out of them.
02:27But is that sort of the key? Is it Arnold Sloat's different approach that sort of helped these major injuries not happen, really?
02:34And obviously, you say it's a huge boost when you're going for a title and you aren't getting these massive injuries to massive players.
02:40And the teams around you certainly are.
02:43Yeah, it's not as intense, let's be honest, the way Liverpool play.
02:47There are some elements of Klopp's style that are still there very much, especially when you lose the ball.
02:52But it's not gunk-ho.
02:55You know, you're not getting up and down all the time.
02:59It's more precise, to be honest, with your picking your moments, when to go and do that sprint or when to bump the line, when to overlap, etc.
03:08It builds up slower.
03:12And I think that does have, obviously, an effect.
03:14I mean, you look at Tottenham and the injuries they're picking up.
03:18All the Andrew Potts they've got who plays in Liverpool haven't suffered that as much.
03:23And a bit of a cult hero emerging is Reuben Peters, who's part of the sports science team.
03:30Lionel Sloat brought with him from Feyenoord because of Feyenoord, they had a 90% availability, which is excellent.
03:37And yeah, it looks like the decision to bring him over from Holland to Anfield is paying dividends because it looks like he's had a real impact on what Liverpool do behind the scenes.
