00:00Well, starting with Liverpool and looking at their current situation,
00:05obviously it was mentioned we are in this, you know, highly anticipated,
00:09high-pressured sort of run-in where every sort of goal,
00:12every result really has that bit of pressure around it now for Arnish's side.
00:16And it's all, you know, credit to them to have worked so hard and played so well to get to this situation where they are,
00:23you know, still alive in, you know, the competitions,
00:26obviously, albeit the FA Cup. But in terms of the Champions League, Premier League,
00:31that sort of debate, that sort of debacle between the fans, what they'd prefer,
00:35what they'd rather go and go and win if they can't win both of them,
00:39of course, which obviously is a possibility.
00:43You know, do you feel they should go all out for the Premier League title with that sort of,
00:47you know, factor of not winning it for so long, then winning it with no fans in the ground?
00:53They've won the Champions League since, of course, with their fans.
00:56What's your sort of thoughts on where they should really put their eggs into which basket come this end of the season?
01:04I think that there is maybe a little bit of a case to be made.
01:07Now, I don't think Arnish Slott would say, take that on board,
01:11because when Liverpool went off the FA Cup, he was absolutely fuming.
01:15He didn't, you know, he wasn't in his mannerisms after the game,
01:21but the language he was using, he basically said these players were good enough to go and win that game.
01:26And he saw that as a way to get the fringe players minutes.
01:30And you'll see, like a lot of managers, win and breeds confidence,
01:34and you want to win as many games as possible and keep the ball rolling.
01:40But as you say, the Premier League, they're in the driving seat now, very much so.
01:45So we speak the seven points clear, and it's theirs to lose.
01:49Whereas the Champions League, it's going to be difficult.
01:54It looks like it's going to be PSG or Benfica.
01:56If you play PSG, that's a very, very difficult two legs.
02:00How much is that going to take out of Liverpool?
02:04The additional risk of injuries, then you've got...
02:07And then let's not forget that Liverpool have got the Carabao Cup final against Newcastle next month.
02:13And that's a game that all fans will want to win.
02:15So as you say, the Premier League title, it's the one that...
02:19There's still a little bit of a sour taste in fans' minds,
02:24just because of what happened last time.
02:27It still gets bandied around as such as the COVID title,
02:30even though Liverpool had already gotten those how many points clear by the time the pandemic happened.
02:38But yeah, they didn't get to celebrate that one properly,
02:40and they've come so close a couple of times with City.
02:44They ranked City close in 22-23,
02:48and they were in it until the latter stages of last season.
02:52So I dare say there might be some fans who think,
02:56let's get out of the Champions League.
02:57But another thing in the Champions League is it brings a lot of revenue into the club,
03:01and Liverpool lost out on that revenue last season being in the Europa League.
03:05So that's something else you've got to factor in.
03:07But I don't think Arslan will be giving up on either competition, definitely.
