00:00In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
00:13May the peace and blessings of Allah be upon His Beloved forever and ever.
00:20Ladies and gentlemen, this program is brought to you by Dr. Sarwar Hussain Naqshbandi.
00:29The Sufis, especially those who have been blessed with the ability to recite poetry,
00:36have beautifully presented the teachings of the Holy Qur'an and the religion in the form of Sufism
00:43in accordance with their intellect and understanding.
00:50And because the Sufis are sincere in their tone, writing, speech and writing,
00:59they have a pure relationship with their Lord.
01:07Therefore, whatever they do, it contains blessings and the mercy of Allah.
01:14And this is what we see in the words of Sultan al-Arifeen and Sultan Bahurahmatullah.
01:20Even today, when we hear the sound of Huu,
01:24the world of humanity is filled with the teachings of Islam,
01:29the teachings of Din-e-Mateen, the teachings of Sufism,
01:33the teachings of Tarbiyyat,
01:35and the way they have contained them in poetry,
01:38they still fill our hearts with light.
01:41In these words, we feel the presence of Allah.
01:46These are also words like other words.
01:49But when these words come from the mind of a Sufi,
01:53when they come in his words and in his speech,
01:56then the light of the presence of Allah fills him,
01:59which still touches the strings of our hearts.
02:02It connects our relationship with our Lord.
02:05This special program is presented to you by Sultan al-Arifeen and Sultan Bahurahmatullah
02:10in terms of his teachings, his personality,
02:13and the quality of his speech.

09:32Let's start the discussion with Dr. Syed Mohammad Habib Irfani.
09:37First of all, we would like to know from our viewers about the era of Hazrat Sultan Bahu.
09:46From his family background and in what environment Hazrat Sultan Bahu was brought up.
09:54I seek his blessings.
09:59First of all, I would like to mention about the elders of the time.
10:17Hazrat Sultan Bahu, may Allah have mercy on him,
10:21belonged to a tribe of saints.
10:25When the people of his family,
10:34because his lineage is from Awan,
10:39and Awan is the progeny of Hazrat Qutub Shah,
10:42the progeny of Hazrat Ali, may Allah have mercy on him,
10:44and the progeny of Muhammad bin Hanfiyah,
10:47they settled in Afghanistan.
10:51When Ghaznavi attacked India,
10:57Hazrat Qutub Shah, may Allah have mercy on him, was with his army.
11:02When he was about to leave,
11:04he asked permission to stay here.
11:10Hazrat Qutub Shah and his progeny settled in the area of Sonskesar.
11:18His father, Hazrat Sultan Bajazid, may Allah have mercy on him,
11:25was a servant in Shah Jahan's army.
11:31When he left his job,
11:36he gave him 50,000 acres of land in the area of Shorkot.
11:43He stayed here.
11:45He was born in the same place.
11:48The year of his birth is 1049 Hijri.
11:52It is the month of Shabanul Muazzam.
11:55The commentators have mentioned that he was a mother saint.
12:00After a month, when the month of Ramadan began,
12:04he was an innocent child.
12:08He did not drink his mother's milk during Ramadan.
12:11When he grew up,
12:14and this continued,
12:17his mother was a saint at that time.
12:22She was a very pious woman.
12:25Her work was the recitation of the Quran.
12:29Her father's work was the same.
12:34In Nawafil, the prayer of Nafl is emphasized.
12:40When the prayer of Nafl is performed,
12:43the duty is fulfilled first.
12:45In this way, he was born and brought up.
12:51It was a period of restlessness and unrest.
12:57For a long time, when there was a war between the brothers,
13:02between Shah Jahan's sons,
13:05his father had left his Mughal job before that.
13:11At that time, he was born,
13:14he was brought up,
13:16he was brought up by his father,
13:19by his mother.
13:21He was a pious man.
13:26In this way, he brought up Sultan Bahu.
13:31When he was born, his father named him Sultan Bahu.
13:38It was a time of acceptance.
13:41He named him Bahu.
13:44His life was for Allah.
13:47He lived for Allah.
13:49He lived for Allah.
13:51The way he worked all his life,
13:54the way he brought up people,
13:57the way he brought up the religion,
14:00the rituals of the religion,
14:03he carried them forward.
14:05Especially, as you just recited a couplet,
14:08to love the Prophet and recite Durood on him.
14:15It is also said about you,
14:19that the sequence of your faiz,
14:22like Hazrat Wais-e-Qarni,
14:24is directly from the Prophet.
14:27And the way Hazrat Wais-e-Qarni,
14:30may Allah be pleased with him,
14:32was brought up,
14:33or he received blessings,
14:35in the same way,
14:36and you also have that,
14:38at one time,
14:39you were presented in the court of the Prophet.
14:44And you extended your blessed hand,
14:46to give him a kiss.
14:47In the same way,
14:48there is also a narration about
14:51Sarkar Ghaus-e-Paq,
14:52may Allah be pleased with him,
14:54that you met him as well.
14:57And miracles were manifested to him.
15:00Subhan Allah.
15:01Subhan Allah.
15:02We are talking about the impact of
15:04Hazrat Sultan Arifin,
15:05Hazrat Sultan Bahu,
15:06may Allah be pleased with him,
15:07on your life,
15:08your services,
15:09and the impact of your words.
15:11Stay with us.
15:12We will be back after a short break.
15:15Ladies and gentlemen,
15:16welcome back after a short break.
15:18You are watching the programme today,
15:20about Hazrat Sultan Bahu,
15:21may Allah be pleased with him,
15:22about his services,
15:23about his teachings,
15:24about his personality,
15:26about his merits.
15:28Just before the break,
15:30we were talking about his birth,
15:33and about his family background.
15:36Let's move forward.
15:38A person's personality changes,
15:41when he attains a spiritual connection.
15:44His connection with Allah is established.
15:47So how did Hazrat Sultan Arifin,
15:49Sultan Bahu,
15:50may Allah be pleased with him,
15:52become Sultan Arifin from Sultan Bahu?
15:55How did he attain that connection?
15:57And how is the blessing of that connection
15:59spreading now?
16:01It spread at that time as well,
16:03and its light and fragrance
16:04is present with us even today.
16:06Please come with us,
16:07Dr. Hafiz Irfanullah Saifi.
16:10We would like to hear from you.
16:12How did your Bai'at,
16:13your connection with the Spiritual Guide,
16:15and the continuation of Sufism
16:17spread?
16:20In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
16:22Allahumma salli wa sallim wa barik
16:24ala Sayyidina wa Mawlana Muhammadin
16:26ajwadil khalqi wa ala alihi wa sahbihi ajma'een.
16:29Thank you very much.
16:30Sultan Arifin,
16:32Hazrat Sultan Bahu,
16:34may Allah be pleased with him,
16:36is being mentioned in a very sacred and profound way.
16:40Your personality is one of those
16:43Saints and Sufis
16:46who influenced the world
16:49with their thoughts,
16:51their characters,
16:53their thoughts,
16:55and their words.
16:57Subhanallah, subhanallah.
16:59And that influence is such that
17:01even today,
17:03it permeates our souls
17:05and our ears.
17:11Subhanallah.
17:12When you were reciting,
17:14it felt as if
17:16the whole atmosphere
17:18was permeated with your Faiz-e-Hu.
17:20Subhanallah, subhanallah.
17:22Hazrat Sultan Bahu, may Allah be pleased with him,
17:24as Qibla Peer Sahib was saying,
17:26you were the mother of Allah.
17:28And why not
17:30that the mother of Hazrat Bibi Rasti,
17:33may Allah have mercy on him,
17:35may Allah have mercy on him,
17:37and the father of Hazrat Baziad Muhammad,
17:39may Allah have mercy on him,
17:41who himself was a great example of character.
17:44And your mother,
17:46according to Majidah,
17:48there are many narrations.
17:50The reason for this is that
17:52your father passed away at your early age.
17:54And your mother,
17:56your mother raised you more.
17:59And I would like to say that
18:01many of our Auliya-e-Ikram,
18:03especially if we look at this area,
18:05in their upbringing,
18:07the role of the mother was more.
18:09And perhaps this Faiz
18:11is from the side of the Prophet.
18:13The father of Huzoor, may Allah have mercy on him,
18:15Majid had also passed away.
18:17Even though your mother
18:19had also passed away at an early age.
18:21But the Auliya-e-Ikram,
18:23your respected mother,
18:25Hazrat Bibi Rasti, may Allah have mercy on her,
18:27you yourself mention her in many poems.
18:29She says that she raised me
18:31in such a way that she
18:33said the truth.
18:35And the truth of the character
18:37and the truth of the conversation.
18:39She gave this truth
18:41in my thinking and in my character
18:43in such a way
18:45that now I see the truth
18:47everywhere.
18:49So your upbringing
18:51was done by your mother Majidah.
18:53And the mother Majidah
18:55herself was a witness of miracle.
18:57Many incidents
18:59have been written by Ashab-e-Seer
19:01that your mother
19:03used to be aware of the
19:05conditions that were imposed on you.
19:07And she used to tell you.
19:09You used to come from a very far place
19:11and she used to tell you that now
19:13they are coming with this intention.
19:15In this way, your upbringing
19:17was done.
19:19You have taken care of the environment
19:21from your home,
19:23which was the environment of Wilayat,
19:25and where Allah's Zikr used to be
19:27and where Allah's words used to be,
19:29the words and actions of the Prophet
19:31used to be mentioned,
19:33you moved forward.
19:35And then you yourself write
19:37that for 30 years
19:39I went to different places
19:41in search of a Murshid.
19:43I passed through different places.
19:45I met different people.
19:47But because Allah gave you
19:49Wilayat to such an extent
19:51that the people around you
19:53did not reach that level yet.
19:55That is why wherever you go,
19:57you see that he is still down.
19:59So I need a higher entity.
20:01He says that one day I was walking
20:03and a very handsome old man
20:05came to me and he held my hand.
20:07He said, come with me.
20:09I said, Huzoor, who are you?
20:11He said, I am Ali-ul-Murtaza.
20:13So come with me.
20:15I want to take you to the service of Huzoor.
20:17So I went to the service of Huzoor.
20:19The Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him,
20:21gave me a lot of blessings and
20:23gave me a lot of faiz.
20:25I met the two noble ladies.
20:27I was honoured to be their servant.
20:29I received prayers from Hazrat Sayyeda.
20:31Then the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him,
20:33gave me the authority of Moula Ali.
20:35And Moula Ali gave me the authority
20:37of Huzoor Ghus-e-Paak.
20:39In this way,
20:41the faiz of Huzoor
20:43was extended beyond
20:45Huzoor Ghus-e-Paak and
20:47Sheikh Abdul Qadir Jilani.
20:49Huzoor is a noble Qadir.
20:51I would like to say here that
20:53although you had completed
20:55all the spiritual matters
20:57and all the Madaraj,
20:59but it was ordered that
21:01you had to complete
21:03the physical system as well.
21:05So you, Sayyed Abdul Rahman Jilani Dehlavi,
21:07took the oath of allegiance
21:09at his hands.
21:11Some have also written that
21:13you were related to one of his Caliphs.
21:15He then presented you to him.
21:17So you completed the physical system
21:19as well.
21:21And then Allah gave you those
21:23positions and Madaraj
21:25that people are still amazed
21:27and astonished
21:29at what Allah has given you.
21:31Subhanallah, Subhanallah.
21:33Mian Mustafeed Ahmed Naqshbandi
21:35has come with us.
21:37We will continue our discussion
21:39from here.
21:41The search for a Murshid
21:43in the path of Sufism is also
21:45an important journey.
21:47You have to go through
21:49many stages on this path.
21:51How important it is
21:53that you go on this journey
21:55and how truthfully
21:57you go on this journey.
21:59And then,
22:01regarding Hazrat Sultanul Arifin,
22:03may Allah have mercy on him,
22:05when we talk,
22:07please say something
22:09about his blessed appearance,
22:11his character, his qualities,
22:13In the name of Allah, most Gracious, ever Merciful.
22:15Thank you very much.
22:17Hazrat Sultanul Arifin, may Allah have mercy on him,
22:19as Doctor Sahib
22:21spoke beautifully earlier,
22:23and what you said
22:25that your physical
22:27search for a perfect Murshid,
22:29your mother Majida,
22:31although she trained you
22:33very well in the beginning
22:35and she also trained you spiritually.
22:37But when you entered
22:39the stages of youth,
22:41she said that you go
22:43and search for a perfect Murshid.
22:45And when you went in that search,
22:47then it is stated in your biography
22:49that you went to
22:51the house of
22:53Syed Habibullah Shah Sahib,
22:55and when you went there,
22:57when you obtained
22:59his spiritual blessings,
23:01he then sent you to Dehli,
23:03Syed Abdul Rahman Gilani,
23:05he sent you to his house,
23:07and there you
23:09obtained his physical Bai'at.
23:11So, in your
23:13blessed biography,
23:15one fundamental thing
23:17is that your relationship
23:19with the name of Allah,
23:21your relationship with Allah
23:23is mentioned a lot
23:25in your poetry and writings.
23:27And the second thing
23:29that you have mentioned a lot
23:31is that to search for a perfect Peer.
23:33And to search for a perfect Peer
23:35and to have your relationship
23:37with Allah,
23:39or to have your relationship
23:41with a perfect Peer.
23:43By mentioning this,
23:45you explained that
23:47if a person's guidance is perfect,
23:49then he will make you perfect.
23:51And if your guidance is not perfect,
23:53then no matter how much you
23:55do Zikr,
23:57no matter how much you
23:59worship Allah,
24:01but if you do not have
24:03a perfect companion,
24:05then you will not reach
24:07a perfect Peer.
24:09And as far as your circumstances
24:11and your poetry are concerned,
24:13your poetry is such that
24:15just like your name,
24:17it is also distinguished
24:19that in every era,
24:21not only in that era,
24:23even today,
24:25your poetry is read
24:27in equal religious gatherings
24:29and its effects are felt
24:31in the same way.
24:33If a person with high intellect
24:35is a philosopher,
24:37or if he wants to find
24:39a high purpose in life,
24:41his goals are also found
24:43in your poetry.
24:45And if a common person
24:47reads it,
24:49then he can also
24:51get guidance from it
24:53in the same way
24:55and its effect is felt
24:57in the same way.
24:59And another special thing
25:01that I would like to tell you
25:03is that,
25:05what were the stages
25:07that I had to go through
25:09and when you told me about them,
25:11then you explained
25:13the difficult stages
25:15of such treatment
25:17in such simple words
25:19that if a person reads it,
25:21then all the questions
25:23in his mind
25:25get resolved.
25:27So, Sayyidina Sultan-e-Bahu
25:29may Allah be pleased with him,
25:31you are that personality
25:33who has many other qualities
25:35in his poetry.
25:37You say that,
25:39knowledge is not
25:41related to any family,
25:43nor does it belong
25:45to any rich family,
25:47even if it is a special family,
25:49it does not attain it.
25:51In fact, access to Allah
25:53is attained by the one
25:55who has knowledge in his heart.
25:57You say that,
25:59in Sufism,
26:01only and only
26:03the Prophet
26:05may Allah be pleased with him,
26:07is dependent on his following.
26:09If a person
26:11worships other than this,
26:13and does not strengthen
26:15his relationship with the Prophet,
26:17then he will never
26:19reach perfection.
26:21And then,
26:23in terms of practice,
26:25when you mentioned
26:27only the Sufis,
26:29then the Sufis who were
26:31impractical,
26:33or the scholars who were
26:35impractical,
26:37you have emphasized
26:39that they are those
26:41who mislead
26:43people more than
26:45the common people.
26:47So, Sayyidina Sultan-e-Bahu,
26:49may Allah be pleased with him,
26:51you are so comprehensive,
26:53that you can feel the effects
26:55in the same way.
26:57SubhanAllah, SubhanAllah.
26:59We continue our discussion
27:01with respect to
27:03Sayyidina Sultan-e-Bahu.
27:05This is a special session
27:07in which our guest
27:09is present.
27:11Ladies and gentlemen,
27:13welcome to
27:15Waqf-e-Ki-Baad.
27:17Today, we are presenting
27:19a special session
27:21and before going to Waqf-e-Ki-Baad,
27:23we were discussing
27:25your habits and qualities.
27:27Among the Sufis,
27:29there are many
27:31who have
27:33paid special attention
27:35to writing,
27:37in which poetry is being mentioned,
27:39but along with that,
27:41Sayyidina Sultan-e-Bahu,
27:43has written many books,
27:45dozens of books,
27:47and some of those books
27:49are available at the moment.
27:51Let's talk about them.
27:53You have paid special attention
27:55to writing,
27:57and you have written
27:59many books.
28:01Let's listen to
28:03Sayyid Muhammad Habib Irfani.
28:05Sir,
28:07in this,
28:09Hazrat Sultan-e-Arifeen
28:11has written 140 books.
28:13A common impression
28:15is that
28:17most of them are in Punjabi.
28:19You have only one book in Punjabi.
28:21The rest of the books
28:23are in Farsi.
28:25There are many other books
28:27which are not available.
28:29In that book,
28:31you have mentioned
28:33that since the language
28:35of the people here
28:37is Punjabi,
28:39you have given the message
28:41to the people
28:43through your poetry
28:45to the Prophet,
28:47to the Prophet,
28:49to the Prophet,
28:51and to Allah.
28:53Through and through
28:55the Prophet,
28:57and to the common people.
28:59So, you have
29:01kept the message
29:03to the people in this way.
29:05And the way you have
29:07taught the people,
29:09the difference between
29:11the world and the Sufi,
29:13is that
29:15for the world,
29:17it is necessary
29:19to acquire knowledge
29:21first, then it will act.
29:23For the Sufi,
29:25it is necessary
29:27to acquire knowledge
29:29first, then it will act.
29:31When it will act,
29:33its nature and temperament
29:35will change,
29:37then it will acquire
29:39knowledge.
29:41And the people
29:43will be amazed.
29:45The way in this universe,
29:47in the creation of this universe,
29:49the Hadith of the Prophet,
29:51may Allah bless him and grant him peace,
29:53that
29:55you have also
29:57made it clear in a poem
29:59that it is because of you
30:01that this universe exists.
30:03Its existence is also because of you.
30:05All the beauties and wonders
30:07in it are all because of you.
30:09So in this,
30:11how did he explain to the people,
30:13in the language of the people,
30:15in the style of the people,
30:17in the way of the people,
30:19and one more thing can be seen,
30:21that your means of livelihood,
30:23in which there is a general impression
30:25that the Sufi,
30:27you have always
30:29adopted agriculture,
30:31and from agriculture
30:33you got your livelihood.
30:35And in that,
30:37you raised people.
30:39Now in this,
30:41in reference to your miracles,
30:43when there were signs of water
30:45on your blessed grave,
30:47then people dug the grave.
30:49The rest of the graves were shifted
30:51to another place.
30:53Your coffin was found below.
30:55Then it was said
30:57to come in the morning and open it.
30:59This is a whole incident,
31:01to come in the morning and open it.
31:03Then this coffin was found in it.
31:05This is your miracle.
31:07And even today,
31:09the way it is a matter of your miracles,
31:11the way your children,
31:13your matters,
31:15your upbringing,
31:17your teachings,
31:19the way you are spreading it
31:21among the people,
31:23the way you are training people,
31:25surely, may Allah give everyone
31:27the ability to follow
31:29the teachings of the elders,
31:31the style, the way of thinking,
31:33the way they should walk,
31:35the way they should live among people,
31:37that the unity of Allah,
31:39the teachings of love and affection
31:41given to the Prophet,
31:43may they walk in the same style
31:45and in the same way,
31:47in which it becomes
31:49easy for people.
31:51Absolutely right.
31:53Doctor,
31:55there are many aspects
31:57to the discussion,
31:59especially,
32:01if we do not speak
32:03about the poetry of
32:05Hazrat Sultan Bahur Rehmatullah,
32:07then this is a prominent aspect
32:09which is in front of the people
32:11and from this,
32:13his introduction reaches the people.
32:15Especially, how do you see his poetry
32:17and his topics?
32:19Doctor, actually,
32:21our Sufis,
32:23to spread their teachings
32:25to the people,
32:27chose the path
32:29which is easy for people
32:31and people can quickly
32:33follow it.
32:35The era in which
32:37Hazrat Sultan Bahur Rehmatullah
32:39entered,
32:41there was a period
32:43of literature
32:45and especially,
32:47poetry and literature
32:49were very popular.
32:51You have adopted
32:53a unique style in poetry
32:55and the style
32:57which you have adopted
32:59in poetry,
33:01that example is not found
33:03before or after.
33:05That beautiful style,
33:07especially in your
33:09Yat-e-Bahu,
33:11it ends with
33:13the word
33:15Huu.
33:17And you have
33:19very easily
33:21described
33:23the unique
33:25things.
33:27The teachings of Prophet Muhammad
33:29are like
33:31a garment of poetry
33:33which you have presented
33:35in front of the people.
33:37For example,
33:39you encourage people
33:41to be sincere.
33:43And how important
33:45it is to be sincere?
33:47He says,
33:49if a person changes
33:51his appearance,
33:53if he has a good heart,
33:55for example,
33:57if the Lord
33:59gives you clothes,
34:01then you will get
34:03fish,
34:05if the Lord gives you
34:07long hair,
34:09then you will get
34:11long hair,
34:13if the Lord gives you
34:15long hair,
34:17then you will get
34:19long hair,
34:21and you will get
34:23long hair,
34:25and you will get
34:27long hair,
34:29and you will get
34:31long hair,
34:33and you will get
34:35long hair,
34:37and you will get
34:39long hair,
34:41and you will get
34:43long hair,
34:45and you will get
34:47long hair,
34:49and you have mentioned so much
34:51about the Kalma,
34:53you have written,
34:55everyone reads the Kalma of the heart,
34:57everyone reads the Kalma of the heart,
34:59wherever the Kalma of the heart is read,
35:01the tongue meets there,
35:03the Kalma of the heart
35:05is read by the lover,
35:07this Kalma taught us
35:09the Peer,
35:11I have always been married.
35:13Now in this,
35:15a guide,
35:17a guide will tell you,
35:19that the Sheikh,
35:21plays a very important role in
35:23conveying the message.
35:25I would like to conclude
35:27the whole conversation,
35:29and especially your advice,
35:31because the Sufis,
35:33the Sufis,
35:35the Sufis,
35:37the Sufis,
35:39the Sufis,
35:41the Sufis,
35:43the Sufis,
35:45your Mizaar-e-Mubarak,
35:47your guide,
35:49and this conversation.
35:51Huzoor,
35:53Hazrat Sultan-e-Bahu,
35:55your Mizaar-e-Mubarak,
35:57as mentioned earlier,
35:59it has been transmitted twice,
36:01and even today,
36:03where your Mizaar-e-Mubarak is present,
36:05it is a mosque of the creation,
36:07and people are receiving
36:09benefit from it,
36:11and through your poetry,
36:13and through your message,
36:15it is a message,
36:17whose impact is not only
36:19in that area,
36:21but in our entire culture.
36:23And,
36:25Syedna Sultan-e-Bahu,
36:27may Allah have mercy on him,
36:29even though you are not
36:31in a Madrasa,
36:33but the words you have written,
36:35contain so much wisdom,
36:37that the result,
36:39a scholar,
36:41after a lot of hard work,
36:43gets from some knowledge,
36:45Sultan-e-Bahu and the Wali of Allah,
36:47are those who, in one poem,
36:49describe the result.
36:51And, Syedna Sultan-e-Bahu,
36:53may Allah have mercy on him,
36:55in many of your
36:57views,
36:59one of them,
37:01the biggest view,
37:03is with Allah,
37:05the view of true love.
37:07If a person,
37:09strengthens his relationship
37:11with Allah,
37:13then he can be successful
37:15in this world and in the hereafter.
37:17And, as you have said,
37:19Sultan-e-Bahu,
37:21may Allah have mercy on him,
37:23other elders like you,
37:25it is their blessings,
37:27that today, in the world,
37:29Islam has spread so much,
37:31and in so many people,
37:33there are Muslims,
37:35and there are also
37:37people who love Allah.
37:39So, this is the miracle
37:41of your saints,
37:43and the effects of their lives,
37:45which are still felt
37:47in the whole of India,
37:49and we all,
37:51with the Wali of Allah,
37:53love them in the same way.
