00:00In the name of Allah, the most Gracious, the most Merciful.
00:25Peace and blessings of Allah be upon you.
00:33Today's program is about a great and unique personality.
00:37And no matter how many qualities of a personality we talk about,
00:40you see them in every attribute.
00:44Those scholars who brought people closer to Allah and His Messenger in every era,
00:50when a new thought, a new philosophy is emerging,
00:59and it is spreading to people, and it is diverting their thoughts,
01:02then Allah and His Messenger's message,
01:04the message of Tawheed,
01:05is brought to people through Sufism.
01:10And it turns people's minds, their intellect, their consciousness,
01:14towards Allah.
01:16And He rejects the same philosophy,
01:18in the same way, through Sufism and spiritual perfection.
01:22When this philosophy puts the new thought into debate.
01:27A poet said,
01:28A philosopher does not find God in the debate.
01:31He is solving the problem and does not find the solution.
01:35So when he found the solution, he found these great personalities.
01:38In every era, Allah sent a Mujaddid.
01:41When we talk about the 5th century Hijri,
01:44the 11th century,
01:46the Mujaddid of that time,
01:48Hazrat Sayyiduna Imam Ghazali,
01:51Hujjat-ul-Islam,
01:53was said to be a Mujtahid of his time,
01:55who kept his heart content with his jurisprudence,
01:59and at that time, there was no need for Zahir-e-Nu'mur,
02:01there was no need for any effort.
02:03But when it came to Sufism,
02:05when it came to philosophy,
02:07then what an effort and what a Mujtahid you came in front of.
02:11You not only reformed people,
02:13but also kept them connected to Allah and His Messenger.
02:16The work that you see on Sufism,
02:19is your own work,
02:21there is no example of it.
02:23You rejected that philosophy,
02:25which was misleading the mind and the human being,
02:28and was taking it to another direction,
02:30and was causing confusion.
02:32You solved it with the perfection of Sufism,
02:34with the color of Sufism,
02:36with the light of Sufism.
02:38Hujjat-ul-Islam, our leader, Imam Ghazali,
02:40may Allah have mercy on him,
02:42ARYQ TV is presenting Khiraj on his day.
02:45Two sessions have been arranged for him,
02:47and inshallah, not only in Pakistan,
02:49but also in the Islamic world,
02:51Mashallah, we have great scholars with us,
02:54scholars, intellectuals, researchers, and literate people.
02:57Prof. Dr. Mohammad Ahmed Qadri Sahib,
03:00please be seated.
03:02May Allah bless you.
03:04We have with us today,
03:06a young scholar, a great Mufti,
03:08a great scholar,
03:10a great speaker,
03:12Mr. Allama Malana Mufti Khurram Iqbal Rehmani.
03:15He is with us.
03:17Thank you both.
03:19You may begin.
03:21I will proceed to Dr. Qibla.
03:23Dr. Qibla,
03:25Imam Sayyiduna Ghazali,
03:27may Allah have mercy on him,
03:29was born in this era,
03:32I seek refuge with Allah from Satan, the accursed.
03:34In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Ever Merciful.
03:36May Allah bless him and grant him peace,
03:38forever and ever.
03:40For the sake of His Beloved,
03:42the best of all creation.
03:44O Allah, grant us our desires,
03:46and forgive us our trespasses.
03:48After the Salat,
03:50I would like to congratulate QTV,
03:52that,
03:54in the memory of a perfect saint,
03:57this beautiful gathering has been arranged.
04:02He is such a great scholar,
04:04that,
04:06he impressed the minds of the world.
04:09Muhammad bin Muhammad al-Ghazali.
04:11Allah is the Greatest.
04:13He is known as the Hujjat-ul-Islam.
04:15And,
04:17in the era in which he was born,
04:19the image of that era is that,
04:21the influence of Greek philosophy,
04:24on Baghdad,
04:26Nishapur,
04:28and the different schools of thought,
04:32in the Islamic world,
04:34changed the mood of the world.
04:37And,
04:39the era,
04:41in political terms,
04:43Tughra al-Saljuq,
04:45the reforms in that era,
04:47and its historical aspects,
04:50if you look at them,
04:52you will see that,
04:54it is a state of decline.
04:56And,
04:58the Muslims,
05:00who are proud of Islam,
05:03and the people who understand it,
05:06and the people who present it,
05:08they are so different,
05:10and are divided into so many different sects,
05:13that it is not clear,
05:15whether to believe in spirituality,
05:17or to move away from spirituality,
05:19and believe in other schools of thought,
05:21or to move towards realism,
05:24or to move towards self-realization,
05:26not the self-realization of Iqbal,
05:28but the self-realization of other religions.
05:30Now, all these ideas are in their place,
05:33but after the birth of Imam Ghazali,
05:36when his father passed away,
05:38his responsibility,
05:40he gave to his close relative,
05:42and told him,
05:44that you take care of him,
05:46and take care of him,
05:48with intellectual trust.
05:50And the second tradition is that,
05:52Imam Ghazali was admitted to a madrasa.
05:55Now, after being admitted to a madrasa,
05:58obviously, where he was born,
06:00that is Khurasan.
06:02Khurasan is an area,
06:04in which,
06:06in Tehran,
06:08where he was born.
06:10This is a rural area.
06:12But Khurasan is a center of knowledge.
06:14Absolutely.
06:16And after being born in Khurasan,
06:19the biggest achievement of this intellectual personality,
06:23is that,
06:25Allah Almighty had chosen him.
06:27No doubt.
06:29For a great purpose and center.
06:31Excellent, this is the point.
06:33And for a great purpose and center,
06:35when he was chosen,
06:37in that,
06:39Hazrat Imam Ghazali,
06:41in his book,
06:43The Journey of Light from Darkness,
06:45in that, he says,
06:47I used to feel that,
06:49I have to do a big task.
06:51And I used to feel again and again,
06:53that Allah Almighty will take a big task from me.
06:55Absolutely.
06:57Now, this state of the heart,
06:59this state occurs when
07:01there is an awareness.
07:03And on the veil of awareness,
07:05whenever there is a knock,
07:07problems will arise.
07:09Absolutely.
07:11Imam Ghazali, may Allah have mercy on him,
07:13because you said that,
07:15when you have come to this stage,
07:17you felt that,
07:19the problems that the Muslims are facing,
07:23the biggest problem among them is that,
07:25the Muslims have lost their awareness.
07:27Absolutely.
07:29And they had multiple optional choices,
07:31to become Muntashirul Fikr.
07:33Yes.
07:35And they were doing it.
07:37And the Muslims lost their awareness.
07:39The stage of their belief,
07:41the stage of their faith,
07:43when they used to move forward,
07:45they stood on two paths.
07:47And at such a time,
07:49the poison that was killing,
07:51that poison was philosophy.
07:53Absolutely.
07:55Now, on one side there is philosophy,
07:57and then after that,
07:59there is logic with philosophy,
08:01there is naturalism,
08:03there is divine knowledge.
08:05And then, the social issues,
08:07multiple challenges,
08:09when all these become one,
08:11then Ghazali will not be needed,
08:13then who will be needed?
08:15Ghazali will be needed.
08:17Wow.
08:19Absolutely.
08:21So, at such a delicate time,
08:23Allah the Almighty,
08:25sent Ghazali in this world,
08:27and showed a way of protecting the religion.
08:31Very good.
08:33That we protect our religion,
08:35through our Mujaddideen,
08:37through our Ulema,
08:39through our beloved ones,
08:41and through the slaves of Huzoor.
08:43Very good.
08:47Subhan Allah, Subhan Allah.
08:49Very good, Doctor.
08:51Allama sahib, tell me,
08:53what are the things,
08:55which make Muhammad Ghazali
08:57the Imam Ghazali?
08:59Hazrat started in Sarnameh,
09:01very strongly, Mashallah.
09:03He told the situation at that time,
09:05he told the center.
09:07I have reached to the detail of his speech,
09:09that it is not necessary,
09:11that a person will come to a big center,
09:13and do a big work.
09:15That is not necessary,
09:17until he is chosen by Allah.
09:19When Allah will choose,
09:21then Mujaddid will show a different color.
09:23What will Muhammad Ghazali,
09:25and Imam Ghazali say?
09:27In the name of Allah, the most Gracious, the most Merciful.
09:29And peace and blessings be upon the Messenger of Allah,
09:31Muhammad.
09:33First of all, as Doctor sahib,
09:35you have presented a great speech.
09:37I too, on behalf of my team,
09:39present a great speech.
09:41Especially, this program is going on,
09:43with great difficulty.
09:45It is not just a mention,
09:47but the personality of the person,
09:49with that glory and glory.
09:51Alhamdulillah.
09:53And I think, it is a unique way,
09:55to present the gift of faith to Imam Ghazali.
09:57Right.
09:59Secondly, the beauty of this program,
10:01is not only about the personality of Imam Ghazali,
10:03but also about the work of Imam Ghazali.
10:05That's right.
10:07So that people get the thought of Imam Ghazali,
10:09along with the personality of Imam Ghazali,
10:11and the character of Imam Ghazali.
10:13Right.
10:15The way you have asked the question of Imam Ghazali,
10:17it is a very important question,
10:19the journey from Ghazali to Imam Ghazali.
10:21Right.
10:23If we look at it,
10:25I would like to take some light
10:27from Doctor sahib's speech.
10:29As you have said,
10:31Imam Ghazali is a great personality.
10:33Right.
10:35But the effect of this personality,
10:37is that,
10:39there is no place in the world,
10:41where there is no mention of Ghazali.
10:43That's great.
10:45It is like the sun and the moon,
10:47and the light of it,
10:49is reaching everywhere.
10:51And where there is no mention of Ghazali,
10:53there is no place like that.
10:55And secondly,
10:57not only Muslims,
10:59Ghazali is understood and coded.
11:01Wow.
11:03You can only guess the personality of Imam Ghazali,
11:05from this.
11:07How great was that personality,
11:09that centuries have passed.
11:11He is the elder of the 5th century AH.
11:13And he did not live long.
11:15He lived only 55 years in this world.
11:17But he served the religion,
11:19Imam Ghazali,
11:21just like Imam Adam Abu Hanifa,
11:23Imam Shafi'i, Imam Malik,
11:25Imam Bukhari,
11:27and after so many years,
11:29Imam Ghazali,
11:31has the same personality,
11:33that even today,
11:35people will use Imam Ghazali,
11:37and the thought of Imam Ghazali.
11:39In this journey,
11:41the basic thing that we see,
11:43is that when people reach the end of their life,
11:45their position, their position,
11:47or their thought,
11:49affects people.
11:51But as you said about Imam Ghazali,
11:53he was chosen by Allah SWT.
11:55Exactly.
11:57So at the age of 28,
11:59Imam Ghazali,
12:01had made his knowledge,
12:03and from Nishapur to Baghdad,
12:05these two centers of the Islamic world,
12:07which were the centers of knowledge.
12:09Right.
12:11Imam Ghazali, first from his area, Khurasan,
12:13and now went to Nishapur.
12:15In Nishapur, he did Iqtisab-e-Faiz
12:17with Imam Jubayni,
12:19who was Imam-ul-Haramain,
12:21a great scholar of his time.
12:23He did Khidmat-e-Sharif,
12:25as the president of Madrasa-e-Nidamiya.
12:27Wow.
12:29This is the position and position,
12:31that the great scholars of the time,
12:33were eager to get this position.
12:35Amazing.
12:37Imam Ghazali was placed on this position,
12:39without any desire or wish.
12:41Allahu Akbar.
12:43Allahu Akbar.
12:45When you were in the court of the king,
12:47and the great scholars,
12:49used to have academic discussions,
12:51Allahu Akbar.
12:53You had that excellence in knowledge.
12:55I will continue from here,
12:57the excellence and position that we have,
12:59and why Imam Ghazali was placed on this position.
13:01We will conclude this,
13:03after a short break.
13:05Welcome back, viewers.
13:07In Khair Maqdam,
13:09Hujjat-ul-Islam Sayyiduna Imam Ghazali,
13:11may Allah have mercy on him,
13:13is presenting ARY-QTV Khiraaj.
13:15And to present Khiraaj,
13:17this department,
13:19when it comes to etiquette,
13:21the message of Allah and His Messenger,
13:23religion, ethics,
13:25real manners,
13:27which personality do we choose?
13:29Professor Dr. Muhammad Ahmed Qadri,
13:31Allama Mufti Khurram Iqbal Rehmani.
13:33Hazrat, you were saying,
13:35that Muhammad Ghazali,
13:37Imam Ghazali,
13:39and you spoke about his excellence,
13:41before the break,
13:43talk about that.
13:45Imam Ghazali is one of those personalities,
13:47whose passion for knowledge,
13:49is such that,
13:51at that time,
13:53books were not written,
13:55books were not printed,
13:57publishing was not done,
13:59press was not there.
14:01So all the knowledge was that,
14:03Ustad used to give a lecture,
14:05and students used to write it down.
14:07The students who used to write it down,
14:09were counted as students.
14:11Imam Ghazali, may Allah have mercy on him,
14:13was so fond of knowledge,
14:15when you were on a journey,
14:17it so happened that,
14:19robbers robbed the caravan.
14:21When the robbers robbed,
14:23they also took your intellectual wealth.
14:25Now you were not worried about,
14:27taking your wealth,
14:29but you were very fond of those books.
14:31You tried to talk to Sardar,
14:33and ask him to return your intellectual wealth.
14:35At that time, he said a sentence,
14:37he said, what kind of knowledge do you have?
14:39If you don't have papers,
14:41you will be left with nothing.
14:43If you don't have papers,
14:45you will be left with nothing.
14:47This is the beginning of the journey,
14:49from Ghazali to Imam Ghazali.
14:51This is the starting point.
14:53When he realized that,
14:55if I don't have papers,
14:57my knowledge is finished.
14:59At that time, Imam Ghazali, may Allah have mercy on him,
15:01promised that,
15:03whatever I will read,
15:05I will not only write,
15:07but I will also preserve it.
15:09I will write it on the throne of my heart.
15:11This is the reason,
15:13from Imam Ghazali to Imam Ghazali,
15:15Imam Ghazali became so famous,
15:17that every class,
15:19every department,
15:21and in every era,
15:23not just Ghazali,
15:25but Imam Ghazali was called.
15:27And in the field of practice,
15:29your work was prominent,
15:31because you were seen collectively.
15:33You are a revolutionary personality of that time,
15:35and you brought a revolution.
15:37Behind the scene,
15:39when Imam Ghazali became so famous,
15:41at that time,
15:43Imam Ghazali's appearance,
15:45is the help of Allah,
15:47that no doubt,
15:49truth and falsehood came,
15:51and it had to be destroyed.
15:53Doctor, Qibla,
15:55Hujjat-ul-Islam,
15:57you quoted it,
15:59I also quoted it,
16:01but the question is,
16:03what is Hujjat?
16:05Yes, what is Hujjat?
16:07And this,
16:09he is the representative of the hand of God,
16:13and he is in the lineage of Prophets,
16:15and he is the one,
16:17who takes knowledge from the Prophet,
16:19and guides the society.
16:23And these are the chosen people,
16:25who are fortunate,
16:27who are counted among the perfect saints.
16:29He says,
16:31He says,
16:33I have always been in this speculation,
16:35and these are the sciences,
16:37and because of these sciences,
16:39what benefit did it bring to the society?
16:41So, I would have paid attention,
16:43towards the knowledge of natural sciences,
16:45and I would have found a balance in it.
16:47Then somewhere,
16:49I would have paid attention,
16:51towards logic,
16:53and in logic,
16:55there is a connection with each other,
16:57but somewhere,
16:59there is also a doubt in it.
17:01So, I would have felt restless,
17:03and in this state,
17:05if I would have studied more,
17:07I would have gone towards divinity.
17:09So, the effects of philosophy on divinity,
17:11the society is going towards destruction.
17:13Absolutely right.
17:15In all these states,
17:17there is a change in me,
17:19and that change was very strange in me,
17:21that my heart,
17:23my heart,
17:25got up from the lessons of change.
17:27Allahu Akbar.
17:29See, this is the change from here.
17:31Allahu Akbar.
17:49Allahu Akbar.
18:01Wow, wow.
18:31Wow.
19:01Allahu Akbar.
19:11Allahu Akbar.
19:13Allahu Akbar.
19:27Right.
19:31Right.
20:01Wow.
20:11Allahu Akbar.

35:34Dr. Sahab, as you said, the light from the light, Al-Munqib Min Ad-Balal,
35:38in this you wrote your own journey name, towards the light from the light,
35:42towards the light from the darkness,
35:44that how you left the philosophy and came out of the misguidance of the philosophy
35:47and came towards the light of guidance,
35:49and came in such a way that you became the Imam of people,
35:51caught others and brought them out.
35:53Allah chose his man from the philosophy, who rejected him.
35:56And then, there is Tiryaq, Tiryaq came from there.
35:59And then after that, Imam Ghazali wrote a book on Iloom-ul-Quran,
36:04in the name of Jawahir-ul-Quran.
36:06Imam Ghazali wrote a book on Fiqh, on Fiqh-e-Shafi'i,
36:09which was a translation of Fiqh-e-Shafi'i.
36:12These three books were very famous,
36:14which in your time was read as a principle of Fiqh-e-Shafi'i.
36:17It was called Arqan-e-Salasa.
36:19Imam Ghazali, may Allah have mercy on him,
36:21in his last period, the last book of yours,
36:24was Al-Mustasfa, which you wrote on the principle of Fiqh.
36:28And you wrote such a magnificent book,
36:30that in that time, no one could have written such a book on the principle of Fiqh.
36:33See the level of his friendship with knowledge,
36:35that in his last period, the last year of his life,
36:38you wrote a book on the principle of Fiqh.
36:40You can see Imam Ghazali writing books on philosophy,
36:43on Sufism, on Hadith.
36:45In fact, if you see Ihya-ul-Umm-ud-Din,
36:47you can see all the knowledge of religion in it.
36:49What is the name of it?
36:51Ihya-ul-Ullum-ud-Din.
36:52Khan, Sunnah, Hadith, Fiqh, you can see everything in it.
36:55You can see both Hadith and Sufism.
36:57Wow.
36:58Thank you so much, Dr. Sahib.
37:00Thank you so much once again that you join us today.
37:03And when you come, you give us the light of guidance,
37:06you provide us with knowledge.
37:08We are continuously learning.
37:10We have the status of that student of knowledge,
37:12who, Alhamdulillah, takes knowledge from his companions,
37:15who takes knowledge from books.
37:17And this was applicable to us, this was our duty.
37:20We needed this and we still need it.
37:25We need it the most in these days,
37:27that we acquire knowledge,
37:29that we contemplate, that we think.
37:31Allah, the Lord of Glory,
37:32gives such an example in the Quran,
37:34when He says,
37:36that when you go out on the earth,
37:39you will still see My Signs.
37:41You will see Me.
37:43Allah, Allah, while doing it, I saw Him.
37:46When I got lost in Him,
37:48I saw You.
37:50You can see Him only then.
37:52See, I said in the beginning,
37:53that a philosopher does not find God in a debate.
37:56A philosopher does not find God in a debate.
38:00He is trying to solve the problem,
38:02but he does not find the solution.
38:04And in one glance, a person finds the solution.
38:07The way in which, Mashallah,
38:09Mufti Sahib Qibla said,
38:11and the beautiful reference that Dr. Sahib gave,
38:13the independence of a Mujaddid,
38:16the pride of a man,
38:18and the biggest jewel,
38:20is his pride, his hard work,
38:22his self-respect.
38:24The people whom Allah chose from these jewels,
38:27those same personalities reached their perfection.
38:29No Mujaddid or Mujtahid,
38:31can be given an example in his past,
38:34that he was less proud,
38:36less self-respecting,
38:37less hardworking.
38:38Praise be to Allah,
38:39when Allah chose His servants,
38:41He chose them in such a way,
38:42to become such a great example for the world.
38:45How many Abdaal,
38:46how many Ghaus,
38:47how many Qalandar,
38:48how many have drowned in your love,
38:50how many Samandar,
38:51how many Surkhroo,
38:52are just the tombs of your poor people.
38:54Otherwise, how many Sikandar,
38:55have passed through the ages.
38:57Assalamualaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh.
39:15This is Aaliyah Allah.
39:23The world is the body and the soul.
