00:00as Liverpool have secured their 20th top flight English title
00:07drawing level with Manchester United
00:09and cementing their place at the very pinnacle of English football
00:13now the big question is asked
00:15could this be a start of another era of dominance at Anfield
00:19I spoke to Will Rooney of Liverpool World
00:21to get a sense of the mood around the club
00:23and the feeling is one of excitement
00:25but also of determination
00:27under Arnish Lott Liverpool have shown tactical maturity
00:30strength in depth and a resilience that has carried them
00:34through the season's toughest moments
00:36with a strong care of experienced leaders
00:40a new wave of young talent emerging
00:42and smart recruitment expected in the summer
00:45Liverpool look well placed to build on their success
00:48after reclaiming their crown
00:50Liverpool now face a new challenge
00:52not just to win but to set new standards
00:55and usher in another dominant chapter
00:57in their storied history
00:59so Will looking at Liverpool
01:02and in terms of this sort of new era
01:04under Arnish Lott now
01:05you know when he first came in
01:07not many predicted he'd go on to be this dominant
01:09in his first season
01:11obviously Jurgen Klopp took time
01:13to win his first sort of titles as well
01:15let's just look ahead
01:17let's predict maybe
01:18Arnish Lott's era
01:20this new era
01:21this start
01:22because they've got all the foundations there
01:24to carry it on
01:25Arnish Lott's not going to want to settle
01:27he's going to want to really make a strong charge
01:29to defend that title next season
01:32and then in the coming years as well
01:33this could be a real start of a great era for Liverpool
01:36how do you sort of sit
01:37where do you sort of compare it to other previous seasons
01:41and how sort of confident are you
01:44that they are going to go on
01:45and make sure this period is a long lasting one
01:48and one that you know Reds fans can be really proud of
01:51yeah I think it started
01:53last season
01:55that Jurgen Klopp
01:56he calls it Liverpool 2.0
01:57because he knew that
01:58that first team had come to the end of its cycle
02:01and obviously Liverpool replenished the midfield
02:03and Arnish Lott's built on that
02:06now
02:06what supporters would want
02:09is a better title defence
02:10than they did last time
02:12because yeah
02:13the season was in COVID
02:14and there was a real defensive crisis
02:17but they didn't really make it
02:19a decent fist of defending the title
02:23I don't think anyone's expecting Liverpool next season
02:26to go and win three, four trophies
02:28but Arnish Lott's made it clear
02:30that a club like Liverpool
02:31should always be challenging for Silverware
02:34and he said that
02:35he said that they're going to bring in
02:37a couple of players to freshen things up
02:39so make sure that they do that
02:41look it's going to be competitive next season
02:44you're going to expect Man City
02:45to be back at their end of the season
02:47in a good vein of form
02:48what are Arsenal going to do
02:49Newcastle are on a real upward trajectory
02:52and if they get in the Champions League
02:54they could have money to spend
02:55and teams like Chelsea, Aston Villa
02:58you can't predict what they might do
03:00so I don't think that Liverpool are going to become
03:04this dominant force like they were in the 80s
03:07I don't think anyone expects that
03:08to be honest with you
03:09I don't think anyone expects them
03:11to go back to that period
03:13because it is so competitive
03:15and so hard to compete week in, week out
03:19especially money wise
03:22we know Liverpool's owners
03:23they work on a self-sustainable basis
03:27and even if they want to throw money at it
03:29PSR these days
03:30you can't just do that
03:32but I do think it's a new
03:37you know, this Liverpool 2.0
03:38going into its third season
03:40its second under Arna Slott
03:41this is when maybe you expect it to start
03:44hitting its peak
03:45this is when you
03:46they're ahead of the curve
03:48and even Arna Slott said that
03:50he expected that
03:51you know, when he came in
03:51he said that
03:53a top four challenge
03:56was what was expected from the owners
03:58really
03:58have a look around
03:59and see
04:00you know, he's come out as a setback
04:01so they're ahead of the curve
04:02but that doesn't mean that Liverpool can now regress
04:05just because they've won the title
04:07they need to keep kicking on
04:10and they need to keep challenging
04:13as I say
04:13for Silverware on all fronts
04:15they probably need to make a better go
04:17in Europe next season
04:19because albeit they were knocked out by PSG
04:20but it was the last 16
04:22it was the quarter finals
04:23in the Europa League
04:24the season before
04:25it was the last 16
04:27in the Champions League
04:28the season before that
04:29so within the upper echelons
04:31of head coaches
04:33managers
04:33in Europe
04:35because I think
04:36a lot of people agree
04:37he's up there now
04:38but can he take himself
04:39to the next level
04:40can he really prove
04:41I am as good
04:42as what he says there
