Royal Challengers Bengaluru defeated Delhi Capitals by six wickets in IPL 2025 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, Delhi on April 27. Royal Challengers Bengaluru won the toss and opted to bowl first. Delhi Capitals started well in the first three overs with Abishek Porel (28) taking charge. But as soon as he was dismissed by Josh Hazlewood (2/36), Delhi Capitals slowed down. Yash Dayal (1/42) dismissed Karun Nair, which further mounted pressure on Delhi Capitals. As they were looking to release the pressure, a wicket was falling exactly at that point. In this way, Krunal Pandya (1/28) dismissed Faf du Plessis, Hazlewood dismissed Axar Patel and Bhuvneshwar Kumar (3/33) scalped three wickets. Only Tristan Stubbs (34) got going and his fireworks in the end powered Delhi Capitals to a competitive 162/8. Chasing it, Royal Challengers Bengaluru were 26/3 courtesy of consecutive wickets from Axar Patel (2/19) and a direct hit from Karun Nair. But Krunal Pandya (73* off 47) showed his experience, and Virat Kohli (51 off 47) held one end, stitching a partnership of 119 runs. It set them the platform to win with Tim David (19*) finishing things off. This is the seventh victory for Royal Challengers Bengaluru in IPL 2025 and third loss for Delhi Capitals.
