00:11It is First Responder Friday. We've got Erin on the phone who is honoring her son today.
00:16Good morning, Erin. How are you?
00:18Good morning. I'm doing great. Thank you.
00:20Let's talk about your son, Robert. Tell us how he serves our community as a First Responder.
00:24Well, Bobby has been a firefighter and he works in Seminole County.
00:30And he's been one for about six years now.
00:33Now, is this something that he has followed in somebody else's footsteps in the family?
00:36Or is this something that just he wanted to do?
00:38No, actually, he was a ballplayer in college and was looking for that type of camaraderie.
00:44Oh, OK.
00:45With other people. And he found that becoming a firefighter.
00:50I love that. I mean, they're like a crew.
00:52I mean, they're like brothers and sisters. They take care of each other. That's great.
00:57Yes, they do.
00:57So what does he tell you that he loves most about his job?
01:01Probably the friendships that he's made with the other firefighters and the chance to be able to help people.
01:07He says, and it's funny because most people think that firefighters fight lots of fires.
01:12And actually, what they mostly do is go on medical calls and help people that have either fallen or gotten hurt or accidents.
01:20Things like that.
01:21How do you feel about it, Mom?
01:22I know you're proud of him, but do you worry from time to time?
01:25I worry all the time.
01:27I'm, you know, his brother's also was in the army and just got out himself.
01:31So I've been worrying since, what is that Morgan Wallen song, since 1993?
01:40What a reference.
01:41I know. Every time I hear that song, I think of both my kids.
01:45Well, we appreciate both your kids and we appreciate you as well.
01:49And did we hear that Robert just had a baby?
01:52Yes, they had their first son, my first grandchild, yesterday around 435 o'clock.
