00:00It's our 7-15 second date update.
00:02Let's see if we can make this happen for Kurt, or as he would say, let's try to fix this.
00:07Yeah.
00:08Because he has not heard back from his date since he went to Carrabba's with Marissa.
00:13Yeah, and you asked him about if there was any topics that came up over dinner,
00:17and he's like, no, I don't think we talked about anything weird.
00:19And I was like, did you pay for the meal?
00:21Did you open up the car door?
00:22You know, those simple things.
00:23He's like, yeah.
00:24He's like, you know, we really hit it off.
00:26And he's like, I don't know what's going on.
00:28He's like, I really thought we were going back out again.
00:30All right.
00:30So we are going to try to call Marissa and see if we can get her on the phone.
00:53Hello?
00:54Hey, is this Marissa?
00:55It is.
00:56Hey, Marissa, good morning to you.
00:57This is going to sound very random, but this is actually J.R., Lana, and Kevin over here
01:02at 99.5 QIK.
01:03How are you doing?
01:06I'm fine.
01:08What's this in regard to?
01:09Yeah.
01:10This is actually in regard to a date you went on, which I know sounds even more random.
01:14We wanted to see if we could talk to you on the air for a couple of minutes, actually,
01:18about this guy who is, I got to say, really, really into you.
01:21Just a couple of questions.
01:23Just take up, like, five minutes of your time.
01:26Yeah, as long as it's quick.
01:27All right.
01:28We'll be as quick as possible.
01:29We're calling about a guy named Kurt.
01:31I guess you guys met online.
01:32You guys went to Carrabba's for a great date.
01:34He picked you up.
01:35He said that everything went well on your guys' date as far as, like, what you talked about,
01:41your guys' attraction to each other.
01:43And then he took you home, dropped you off.
01:45And that's really the last he's heard from you.
01:47And he's really confused on what's going on.
01:49So what is the deal?
01:51Yeah.
01:53Yeah, I remember Kurt.
01:55And no, absolutely not.
01:56I would never go on a date with him ever again.
01:58He's, like, the rudest person I potentially have ever met.
02:01Oh, my gosh.
02:02I didn't get that at all.
02:03What happened on the date?
02:04Yeah, why is he rude?
02:05Well, so he picked me up, which was fine.
02:09We had a great date.
02:10But it was when he dropped me off.
02:12So I have this, like, sweet neighbor.
02:15She's, like, in her 70s.
02:17Like, she's just, like, the cutest old lady ever, whatever.
02:20So as he's dropping me off, she was, like, outside her house.
02:23And she came up to us.
02:25And she was, like, her car ran out of gas.
02:28She's older.
02:29She's forgetful, whatever.
02:30And she needed somebody to take her to the gas station to, like, get her some gas.
02:36And he immediately, like, looked at her.
02:39And he's, like, I'm not going to do that.
02:40I have to work early.
02:42And he just, like, ignored her and, like, took off.
02:45And it was just, like, I couldn't even, I literally couldn't even believe, like, that kind of behavior.
02:51And I freaking ended up taking her.
02:54And the craziest part about all this is the stupid gas station was, like, three blocks away.
02:57Like, it wouldn't even have taken her, like, I mean, five, ten minutes max.
03:03So your neighbor, who's in her 70s, walks up to you guys as you're standing outside and getting dropped off, I'm assuming with a gas can, and needing a ride to the gas station.
03:14And Kurt goes, nope, not me.
03:15Got to go, basically.
03:17Yeah.
03:18Yeah.
03:18Wow.
03:19All right.
03:19Okay.
03:20It was so rude.
03:22Okay.
03:23We do have him on the other line, Marissa.
03:25And I want to bring him back on for a second.
03:28Kurt.
03:29Yeah.
03:30Come on, man.
03:31What are we doing?
03:31We're not helping out, you know, our elders here?
03:34Oh, come on.
03:35That makes me the worst person ever.
03:38Listen, it's not my responsibility to help every person who comes along.
03:42You know, that car is barely new.
03:44I have to work the next day.
03:46Like, she's got to spill gas in my car.
03:48You know, I mean, she took care of it.
03:50She's the neighbor.
03:50I don't even know this lady.
03:52I barely know her.
03:53I don't think it's my responsibility.
03:55So that's exactly what I'm saying.
03:57Like, this is very indicative.
03:59Like, you're not a very kind person.
04:00Like, a kind person would have just, like, helped this little old lady who is literally harmless.
04:05Like, what else could she do to you?
04:07Like, give me a break.
04:07That's crazy.
04:09I don't know.
04:09I don't think it's my responsibility to just, like, help your neighbor.
04:13She's your neighbor.
04:13You have a car.
04:14You took care of it.
04:15Like, I don't understand how that's my thing.
04:17Well, what if this was your grandmother and, like, somebody did that to her?
04:21Like, you're just, like, so selfish.
04:23Like, you don't even...
04:24So I'm supposed to think that everybody, like, is my grandmother?
04:26Like, every person who comes along, I'm supposed to help them like it's my grandmother?
04:29I don't think that's reasonable.
04:32Let's look at it this way.
04:32Like, imagine the roles are reversed.
04:34Are you going to, middle of the night, you're going to pick up some old man and take him to the gas station?
04:40You know, like, somebody you don't know.
04:42You're going to let them in your car.
04:44It just doesn't make any sense.
04:46But you're a guy.
04:46This is a harmless old woman.
04:48And they're not, like, that's not...
04:49You're comparing apples and oranges.
04:51Like, that doesn't make sense.
04:51Who knows who's harmless these days?
04:54You see all the things that are happening, you know?
04:56Like, I just get to see the little woman.
04:57It doesn't mean she couldn't, you know, stab me or shoot me or start my car on fire.
05:02Well, if you're scared of a little old woman, again, I feel like I learned a lot about you after we had this date.
05:08After you dropped me off.
05:09So, glad you dropped me off.
05:11Okay.
05:13Interesting.
05:14Very interesting.
05:15All right.
05:15So, is this going to be a deal breaker for you, Marissa?
05:17Because I don't think you guys are going to ever agree on the fact that he should or should not have taken her to the gas station.
05:23But, you did say you had a good date.
05:26So, would there be any way to look past this, Marissa?
05:29No.
05:30Not at all.
05:30Like, it is a bummer.
05:31It was a great date.
05:32I thought he was a good guy.
05:33But, you know what?
05:33Sometimes people reveal their true colors.
05:35And I've seen them now.
05:37All right.
05:37So, I don't think so.
05:38But your neighbor did get some gas, though, right?
05:40Yeah.
05:40Is she okay?
05:41Is she all right?
05:42Yes.
05:42I took her.
05:43Okay.
05:44Okay.
05:45Mother Teresa over here.
05:46Okay.
05:46Oh, man.
05:47All right, Kurt.
05:48Well, thanks for your time.
05:49Thank you for your coming on with us as well, Marissa.
05:51You guys have a great day.
05:52All right.
05:53All right.
05:55I mean, as much as it could be an inconvenience, that is like the perfect time right there
06:01to show what a gentleman you are.
06:02Yes.
06:03I mean, I think he looked at that situation really wrong.
06:06I mean, even if he didn't feel like doing it, which I think you should definitely help
06:09someone, especially if they're in their 70s and, you know, a woman who needs gas.
06:12Absolutely.
06:13Put that aside.
06:14He messed up big time.
06:15It could have been a great way to show you what a great guy you are.
06:17And he went completely the opposite direction.
06:19And I think that's exactly what she was saying.
06:22You know, this is this.
06:23She learned about him after more about him after the date than she did on the date.
06:28So, well, maybe we'll have Kurt's back, though, too.
06:30Let's hear it.
06:31800-992-1099.
