00:00Dave, quick sports, what do we got?
00:02Well, we start with football because the Bills stayed in first place in the AFC East
00:08by beating the Patriots on Thursday night football.
00:12I told the Patriots they could cheat as much as they wanted.
00:15They didn't listen. Final score, 24-10. Buffalo secures the victory.
00:22They played well. Bills quarterback Josh Allen played pretty decently.
00:26Threw for 233 yards, two touchdowns, and no interceptions as the Bills improved to 9-3.
00:34But I guess the good news for the Jets is the Patriots dropped to 6-6.
00:38Yeah, there is that.
00:39So at least they're firmly in last place in the AFC East.
00:42There is that.
00:43And they're trying to make sure that they can climb over all of these teams
00:47and maybe they won't have to worry about New England.
00:50Gotta beat the Vikings.
00:51So yeah, it's a big thing.
00:52So this weekend, the Giants take on Washington.
00:56At 1 o'clock, Giants are 7-4.
00:59Commanders are 7-5 and have won three games in a row.
01:03They are playing good football.
01:05And with the Giants' schedule for the rest of the season,
01:08I would absolutely classify this as a must-win game.
01:11Giants really do have to win because they have, you know,
01:14I believe they have the Vikings coming up.
01:17They have a lot of top-tier.
01:17They got another game against Washington in a couple of weeks.
01:20They have an Eagles game, and they have some top-tier games that, you know,
01:23they're probably going to get a few losses, and I'm realistic with that.
01:28But that's why they have to win this game.
01:29Gotta beat the Washington team.
01:30Have to beat this game.
01:31Beat this team.
01:32The Jets go against the Vikings in Minnesota, 1 o'clock.
01:36And yep, it's a tough game.
01:38The Vikings are 9-2.
01:39Yeah, tough game.
01:40Good defense by the Vikings.
01:42But Jets are 7-4.
01:44I think they could turn over Kurt Cousins.
01:47You know, the guy's played well, but in big spots,
01:50I think he throws a couple interceptions.
01:52Hey, we got a great defense.
01:54We got to get to this guy, throw him down a couple of times.
01:57It's not like he's a great running quarterback, right?
02:00No, no, no, no.
02:01He's a pocket passer, and he's someone who I think you can make panic
02:04with pressure and turn him over.
02:08Got to do it.
02:08So, yeah, definitely have to do that.
02:10The Eagles play the Titans in Philadelphia.
02:13It's sad when I'm looking for more touchdowns from my defense
02:17than I think my offense is going to get me.
02:19Well, Mike White will be the starter.
02:23Let's not forget.
02:25Broadway Mike White.
02:27Let's go.
02:28Broadway Mike is there, and he is going to lead this team
02:31to playoff history.
02:34That is a guarantee.
02:36Yesterday, David said that I was guaranteeing a Super Bowl win.
02:40Yes, that's what I said.
02:42I made that up.
02:44You did.
02:44That's the beauty of radio.
02:46Just make things up.
02:47And then the Eagles play the Titans in Philadelphia at 1 o'clock,
02:50Philly 10-1, Tennessee 7-4.
02:53So, really, when you look at it, three really good games in our local NFL area.
02:59Unfortunate that the NFL scheduled them all at the same time.
03:03Seriously.
03:03At 1 o'clock.
03:04Someone should wake up in that office and realize that Giants and Jets
03:08and Eagles, you should separate them.
03:10You got some crossover.
03:11Yeah, because a Giants fan like myself would watch the Eagles-Titans game
03:15because they're in the NFC East.
03:18Anyway, hockey.
03:20Devils lost to the Predators 4-3.
03:21Devils still 19-4-1.
03:23Flyers fell to the Lightning 4-1.
03:26And Rangers were inactive.
03:28They faced the Senators tonight in Madison Square Garden.
03:32Basketball, the Knicks, Nets, and 76ers were all off yesterday.
03:36This evening, the Nets go against the Raptors at the Barkley Center.
03:39The Sixers play the Grizzlies in Memphis.
03:42Baseball.
03:43Baseball Hall of Famer, two-time Cy Young Award winner Gaylord Perry,
03:47the master of the spitball, died yesterday at the age of 84.
03:51Perry had 314 career wins, but it was the spitball.
03:56That made him famous.
03:57He was synonymous with that pitch.
03:59He even wrote a book about it that went places.
04:02And finally, World Cup tomorrow is U.S. versus the Netherlands.
04:08Game begins at 10 a.m.
04:11It's the round of 16, the knockout round.
04:14So it's single elimination, win in advance, lose and go home.
04:18But, hey, America doesn't usually get here, so let's enjoy this.
04:22I am definitely watching this game tomorrow, 10 a.m.
04:26Find yourself a soccer bar.
04:27That is such a fun way to watch games like this.
04:31No question.
04:32You know what?
04:33I believe there may be an article on WRAT.com of good local jersey spots to watch the soccer.
04:41Oh, nice.
04:42So check that out at WRAT.com.
