00:00Hey, Wendy Rush from the KKLZ Midday Show. Happy National Radio Day. In honor of that,
00:04we're going to do some rapid fire questions. Hit me.
00:07What was your home radio station growing up?
00:09I sadly didn't have one. My dad controlled the radio, so it was Neil Diamond's Jazz Singer,
00:13Carpenters, and Chicago Records on repeat.
00:16Who's a disc jockey you looked up to?
00:18For the same reason, I didn't have one. But I do remember being very annoyed when they
00:22would talk over the intro when I tried to record the song on my cassette. Full circle,
00:25now I'm the one. Sorry.
00:26If you were in radio, what career field and job title would you have?
00:30I would go back to doing one of the things I know how to do, bartending, interior design,
00:35or after some crunches, impersonating me.
00:39Describe radio in three adjectives.
00:41Fun, creative, busy.
00:43Why do you love radio?
00:45Because of the listeners. They call me up and we talk about the music and what it meant to us
00:49and what we remember doing when it came out. And sometimes I get to make their day by playing
00:53the song that means something to them.
