00:00Hey, it's your man DJ Thump Jammin' 105.7 and I have the pleasure of talking to two amazing, amazing artists, and I do say artists, Sean and John Scott. How you doing, man?
00:13Good having us, man. Appreciate it, man. Appreciate it, man. So, you guys, man, talk to me. You guys have been doing so many great things. Tell me the growth. Tell me the journey.
00:24Well, we're originally from L.A., and we dance, but we tap dance. So, being a tap dancer from L.A. growing up, you know, in South Central, we didn't really tell everybody what we did until they saw us on TV growing up and doing a lot of different shows.
00:42You gotta admit, tap dancing is not the average hood talent. You know what I mean? Folks in the hood, what you doing? I'm going to tap dance.
00:50They're crumb dancing. They're crumb dancing. They're steewalking. You know what I mean? Or playing basketball or rapping. Right. So, when did you discover the passion for tap dancing?
00:59Well, we started, my mother saw Sammy Davis Jr. on TV one day. We were six years old. Yeah, and we were six years old, and she was trying to figure out what to do with our energy because we were bouncing around the walls.
01:10You know, so, she eventually found a teacher named Alfred DeCille, and we grew up with him, and he trained us until we were around 19.
01:19Wild experiences. Memorable experiences. Beyonce.
01:24Yeah.
01:24You've had the opportunity to not just dance for her, but you danced with her on stage. Please give me that. Please give me that.
01:34So, we got a call from a good friend of ours. He's a known choreographer. He goes by the name of Frank Gatson. He gave us a call, and we walked in. We saw Jay-Z first, and then we saw Beyonce. I wasn't really nervous meeting Beyonce. I don't know why I wasn't nervous, but when I met Jay-Z, I was really nervous.
01:53Yeah, you know, that's the husband. That's the dude. You know what I mean? I'm cool meeting your wife because she fine and all, but you here, so I really gotta watch how I'm looking at your wife, dog.
02:02No, and growing up to Jay-Z, like, he was like, you know, everybody trying to emulate him, you know? So, they put on Halo by Beyonce, and me and John freestyled to it, and they loved it.
02:15So, what's going on with you guys right now, man? Let's touch on that a little bit.
02:18Okay, well, right now we're in a show called Absinthe, Absinthe at Caesars Palace, and we're there nightly, basically every night, and there's an 8 o'clock and a 10 o'clock show, and we're over there cutting up, you know?
02:30Wow. Yeah, we're there Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.
