00:00No one understands the dedication and sacrifice it takes to be a first responder better than their loved ones.
00:06Tampa Bay's morning crew would like to honor someone in our community.
00:09It's First Responder Friday, brought to you by our friends at Primeline Capital Home Loan Experts on 99.5 QIK.
00:18All right, First Responder Friday, we got Melissa on the phone today who is honoring her brother-in-law, Brian.
00:23Good morning, Melissa. How you doing?
00:25Good. How are you?
00:26We are doing great. We're so glad you reached out to us.
00:28All right, so tell us about Brian. What does he do? How does he serve as the First Responder?
00:34Brian has been serving for Pasco County for seven years. He is a firefighter. He just got promoted to an engineer.
00:44Nice.
00:44Yeah. Brian is honestly the most hardworking guy I've ever met.
00:51You know, before my dad passed away, he was always there, you know, when we needed him.
00:55Brian saved countless lives. Like, he's honestly, like, there's a lot of words I could say about him, but he's just super, super hardworking.
01:04I'm just, I'm glad he's here and, you know, doing what he loves the most with him outside of work and everything.
01:12He has his other priorities, you know, his wife, his son, and yeah.
01:17And, Melissa, and you probably know this, you know, our First Responders and our firefighters, you know, they work these 24-hour shifts, and sometimes they don't sleep at all, but yet they come walking through the door, even though they haven't slept all night, and they'll pick up, you know, the kids, and they'll just go right at it without any sleep, because they're so strong.
01:38They're ready to go on with their day.
01:39All right, so Brian is married to your sister, obviously, Melissa. Tell us about Brian as a brother-in-law, not a First Responder, but as a brother-in-law.
01:48Um, you know, Brian has been here through everything, like, for my family, you know, his family took us in after my dad passed away.
01:58So, I mean, it's a lot, but we honestly can't thank him enough for everything he's done for my family.
02:05And what kinds of things does Brian like to do for fun?
02:08Uh, Brian likes to go fishing.
02:11Um, they, his family has a house up in North Carolina, so whenever they get the free time, they go up to North Carolina and spend their time in the mountains.
02:21You know, he goes out with his wife and his son, and they do things.
02:26I mean, he's a fishing charter, so he's mainly on the water, yeah.
02:30Very cool. Well, I love it.
02:33Well, listen, it sounds like Brian is just a class act all the way around from, uh, you guys' personal life for being there when you went through a, uh, you know, a family loss and, and say, hey, my family's taking you and we're here for you.
02:45I love hearing that.
02:46And then he goes out and does that for a career, saying, hey, I'm here for you.
02:49I want to help you out.
02:50Well, Melissa, we are so glad that you reached out to us and told us about Brian so we can learn more about how he, uh, serves our community and, obviously, serves your family as well and being there for you guys.
02:59We wanted to do this. Our friends at Primeline Capital, home loan experts, want to give you a $100 Visa gift card to give to him so he can maybe take your sister out and have a nice meal together or whatever.
03:12But just a small token of appreciation to him, and I thank you so much for reaching out to us.
03:17Thank you. I mean, my sister just started her NICU nurse job, so.
03:20Wow.
03:21So I know they'll love it. Yeah.
03:23Another first responder. I love it. Power couple.
03:25You're going to have to call us back later on and do one on her.
03:28I definitely will.
03:31I love it, Melissa. I'm going to put you on hold. We're going to get all your info.
03:34All righty. Thank you.
03:36All right. Well, we'd love for you to nominate someone. We love hearing these stories.
03:38First Responder Friday. We also do Military Monday. Just takes a couple minutes.
03:42Just go to 995QIK.com to nominate someone so we can recognize them here on the show.
