00:20I love this. She's honoring her dad, Robert.
00:23Good morning, Brooklyn. How are you?
00:25Good morning. I'm great.
00:27Well, thanks for reaching out to us.
00:28Tell us about your awesome dad and what he does and how he's actually served our country and now serves our community.
00:35Well, when he was 18, he went into the Navy.
00:38He served in the Navy for about 10 years.
00:42And then in 2009, he decided to become a nurse.
00:48And he now works at the VA helping veterans and, you know, testing against COVID.
00:56Yeah.
00:57Not only can we honor him for, like you said, First Responder Friday, but also for part of our military as well.
01:03What an amazing dad you have.
01:05Yeah, I'm pretty blessed.
01:07Well, you know, it's cool.
01:07I like that how he took his, you know, military service and kind of parlayed that into another career by helping out veterans at the VA.
01:16I think that is so cool.
01:17So tell us about your dad.
01:18What do you think is rewarding about his job?
01:20Like, what does he talk about when it comes to being a nurse and helping people?
01:23My dad's always loved helping people.
01:26He's always been a good talker and he's always enjoyed being there for people and, you know, helping them as much as he can.
01:33That's why he went into nursing in the first place.
01:36If you had to describe your dad to somebody, I mean, outside work and all that, how would you describe your dad?
01:43Very, the most helpful, kind, generous person there ever could be will be there at a phone call in the middle of the night whenever my dad is the person that you want to have by your side whenever anything happens.
01:57That's a great thing to say about your dad.
01:59I love that.
02:00And what kind of fun things does dad, you know, dad's obviously been busy and he's taking care of everybody, but what kind of fun things does dad like to do?
02:07My dad's always working.
02:09He's always got himself a bunch of projects.
02:12He's always going and helping people, building something at their house, fixing their car, whatever the case be.
02:18My dad just always likes keeping himself busy and helping others and, you know, always doing something with his hands.
02:25Live a life of service, it sounds like, for sure.
02:28Brooklyn, you're very lucky.
02:29Yeah, Brooklyn.
02:29And I love to hear how, like, I can hear in your voice how proud you are of your dad, and I think that's a really, really cool thing.
